Corey Wayne:

I must admit that was the first time I got to hear what Mitt Romney was all about and I liked what I heard.

The democrats are a party of skeptics, doubters, fear mongers, and conspiracy theorists. They are the ones who use fear to scare people into doing what they want. Lying cheating stealing is ok. The end truly justifies the means.

They are eternal pessimists and see the glass as half empty instead of half full. They are the ones who when the going gets tough they want to quit. They are weak. What happened to the FDR’s and the JFK’s of the Democratic Party?

It’s funny when you consider how they operate. They run around throwing out words like honesty, integrity, leadership, etc. like they are just bumper stickers. We support our troops but we don’t support their mission and The Great General Petraeus is “out of touch with reality (despite the fact they approved his appointment earlier this year 81-0).”

A few years back I had a guy as a business partner for a short period of time who was always telling everyone how “honest” he was and how much “integrity” he operated with. This guy devastated my business financially and then bolted when there was no more money to take or things to destroy.

We had moved into a new office space with a five year lease ($600,000 over five years in rent) and leased $50,000 worth of new computers and office furniture on a Friday. On the following Monday he told me he was “outta here” because he needed to make some money and this was not a good situation for him. WTF???????

This was a lovely situation for me. I had let my top producing agents leave to start their own company to make room for him as a partner instead of the guys who had stuck with me for several years. He was so delusional that he actually said to me before he walked out the door that he “helped me save my company.”

Who was he fucking kidding? I later found out the $50,000 lease for the equipment had a personal guarantee that he forged my signature to when I was in Europe with my girlfriend. When I got back after three weeks we had lost half of our new recruits and all our momentum. He said he did not know what happened but that everything just “fell apart” while I was away. Well, I knew what had happened. He happened. People would not follow him.

It left me with one hell of a mess that took over three years to clean up.

So when I hear someone tell me how “honest” they are, I think the opposite. It’s like the person who farts then says “who farted?” What happens when someone says to you “hey I’m a Christian?” If you are like most people the hairs on the back of your neck stand up and say watch out! It’s like they think that one word “Christian” makes up for all their shortcomings and deviousness.

I see the democrats yelling foul all the time at President Bush. Well, what’s their record so far?

They are not all a lowly bunch of cowards that are dishonest and corrupt. I like Joe Lieberman. Here is a guy who supports the war and his party does not nominate him for the Senate. So he runs as an independent and kicks the ass of the candidate that replaced him on the democratic ticket.

In 2004 Lieberman again went for democratic Presidential nominee and his former running mate from 2000 Al Gore puts his support behind Howard Dean who later plummets right off the ticket. Thanks for showing you have no integrity or loyalty Al Gore. The guy is totally plastic. “I am glad I have such great friends” he must have thought.

The man gets kicked in the balls numerous times by his supposed friends and party and yet he still says he is democrat. Again the man shows he has more class than the whole Democratic Party combined does.

I would vote for Senator Lieberman as a future Republican candidate

That man has integrity. So does Senator McCain. When we win this war he could skyrocket back to the top again and still take the nomination for Republican Presidential candidate.

Anything can happen. Rudy could win and so could Senator Thompson. We will just have to see how their campaigns go.

I like Obama but he is too inexperienced and does not have a high enough level of consciousness that would enable him to make the tough decisions. He is not strong enough to run for what he really believes in. He has become too political. Obama girl is the best thing his campaign’s got going in my opinion.

Hillary just is so in-authentic that I would not trust anything that came out of her mouth. Her and Bill have no integrity. I know two people that have personally known former President Clinton and one of them was his success coach. The other knew him when he was still Governor. They both had a very low opinion of him. Bill has a life time history of fucking around with other women. He just got caught with Monica Lewinski.

I doubt anything has changed with that. Except maybe a little Viagra.

If Lieberman sticks around on their ticket I believe there is hope for their party. If not maybe they will end up in the dust bin of history along with the mainstream media.

I personally have a low tolerance for people who don’t say what they mean and mean what they say. It literally has cost me millions to learn that lesson the hard way. That includes politicians who stand for what ever they think the public opinion polls indicate they need to stand for to win. What ever happened to principle centered leadership or standing up for what you believe in?

Now President Bush and his staff have made some unbelievable blunders in Iraq. Lives have been lost because of it no doubt. But I truly believe they did the best they could with where they were at and with what they had to work with.

This has been the hardest and most difficult war we have ever fought. Our military has had to improvise, adapt, overcome, and compensate on a level never seen before.

But you’ve got to admire Bush’s resolve and passion for what he believes in. I voted for him twice and have had times where I questioned his leadership. But the reason I still respect, admire, and support him is because he stands for what he believes in despite any public opinion polls. I will take a president like that any day over some rubber politician that will say anything to get votes.

Here is a quote I really love from a copywriter I once employed. He was one of the greatest copywriters who ever lived. He passed away only a few months ago. His name was Gary Halbert:

“Nothing is impossible for a person who refuses to listen to reason!” Gary Halbert

After 7 years it’s finally paying off. I believe that in 10-15 years people in Iraq will love him like the people in Albania do.

Its time the rest of America gets behind our President so we can win this war together. Most importantly our Soldiers believe in him and if they believe in our leader and their mission, well then so should we.

All the way to Okoboji - a long way to go for an interview. Not to sure about the man-on-the-street inteviewees though…

Trouble for me wrt Romney - it all sounds like sloganeering. Most of it anyway. On a few issues he sounds authentic and experienced, e.g., budget cutting…. but the rest are just words written for him so people can hear what they want to hear.

Did anyone catch his statement about the US vis-à-vis China and India. Something about the US remaining superior to those two countries forever . There is a real problem to the tenor in those type of statements, and even more so the thought behind them. As an American, the value of the economic health of this country is important to me, but that does not mean I have to feel I am always at the top of the pecking order.

Not on the whole an interview that makes me want to vote for him.

Tube Debate Results:

1)Questioned Selected from YouTube but still controlled- So no actual changes.

2)Format however proved, people have No Trust on Leftist Journalists

3)Hillary-She has become angrier, wearing expensive jacket as liberal contradictory acts are, wealth for us / slogans for poor (as slogans haven’t changed over the past 50 years in democratic party)—-Clich√© speech, predictable, general, stating the obvious and appealing to the least common denominator. That is why the next day NBC claimed Hillary was the winner. The same NBC that Hillary runners write Keith’s show on MSNBC and a previous failed sportscaster turned MSNBC commentator is used to bad mouth Bush every night.

4)Obama-Smart but not much depth and experience

5)Edwards-Attorney-like presentation with no substance

6)Bottom line. American people are smarter than the liberals in general and Leftist journalists in particular than they receive credit for. Americans have proven to Leftist journalists and liberal manipulators that they can see through journalists and beyond them. For that reason I think the final nominees are:

7)Richardson-Will Secure the nomination of Democratic party

8)Romney- Who has a proven record in both government and business as US needs a real CEO at the helm not corrupted Washingtonian politician for its future, will secure the nomination in Republican party.

9)At the end, American people will choose Romney for a variety of reasons.

Keep this prediction in your file.

When looking at the 08 candidates especially on the Republican side, I believe there are some quality men. There is no question the stone that has taken the Republican’s down is around GWB’s neck. So how did the Repubs get into this situation or more importantly GWB. There are 3 qualities that have gotten him in trouble. 1. Mismanagement- his mismanagement of Iraq postwar is well known, Katrina, and even the spending in Washington has been out of control. Most are wondering if Rumsfeld & Cheney were really running things. 2. Betrayal to his own base, see the immigration bill, again the spending which is not conservative and 3. His incompetence as a leader. Whether it’s in his speech or his foreign relations policy there is certainly a weakness there.

While some of the republican candidates could more than pick up the slack, IMO Mitt Romney is really the total package. He’s incredibly organized and knows how to manage in order to get results. That’s his gig. He’s on the right side of the issues and has actions to prove it, he’s also stated he will go through and streamline Washington–and if there’s one guy who I think will do it (and not just say it) it’s Romney. He’s done this before.

Lastly, the guy is very intelligent, he’s extremely well-spoken, and a competent leader. Look at how he’s run his campaign, he’s working extremely hard because he has too. And it is paying off.

While I think Giuliani is also very capable, his social stances aren’t something I agree with. Would I vote for him over a Dem? Sure. He isn’t very organized, and is a bit haphazard at times. I do like him, Romney trumps him as the more conservative and Romney’s knowledge of the global economy is superior as well. They both “get it” in terms of the war on terror.

Thompson, seems like a nice guy, IMO he has a poor record, he isn’t a Washington outsider, but just talks like one, and I don’t believe he’s going to put in the work that it will take. Why is he waiting to get in? Because he knows how hard it’s going to be when he does get in. I just have a lot more respect for Romney and Giuliani for being out on the trail, going through the debates, and meeting people, shaking people’s hands as it shows they want it. I respect that.

I’ve been a fan of Mitt Romney’s since he barred state police and wouldn’t allow any interruption of normal traffic flow for former Iranian leader Katami’s visit to Harvard.

Also Mitt asked the most salient question in the 3rd debate:

“For that to happen, we’re going to have to not just attack each one of these problems one by one, but say, how do we help move the world of Islam so that the moderate Muslims can reject the extreme?”

I haven’t heard any political leader ask that question. And it’s a visionary question filled with hope and optimism that is rare in politics regarding Middle East/foreign affairs.

Also Mitt said this at the debate:

“I watched the Democrats… … they don’t think there’s a war on terror. There’s a war going on, and we need a broad response to make sure that these people have a different vision.”

I think this statement is akin to Reagan’s “tear down that wall” sentiment. Again a very hopeful outlook, a key ingredient to getting anything done in the world.

Why isn’t there a voice to text transcript?

Politicians need them.

I like Romney OK, better than Rudy or John McCain; not sure about Fred Thompson.

Romney is well spoken and impressive. I live all of the Republican candidates, but Romney is my favorite. McCain is just too old. He missed his prime.

Jul 25, 2007 - 8:12 pm Rocko:

After seeing this video, can there be any question as to Romney’s strength as a Presidential candidate? He’s amazingly bright, articulate, and informed. His stances on the issues are perfect. If we don’t make Mitt our next president, we’re nuts!

Jul 25, 2007 - 8:57 pm Tiafala:

Mitt Romney is the candidate to be the President of our dear ailing nation. We need his loyalty, his committment, his vision his knowledge and experience to lift us out of the burden of heavy taxes and too much fighting in Congress over the same unimportant things to a level where we the hard working citizens enjoy a life of respect, prosperity, peace and service to one another and where families are treated as part of our nations building foundation. He will rebuild our industries and bring them back other nations where they have fled to because of heavy taxation and other requirements.

Jul 27, 2007 - 3:05 pm Pat:

Mitt is the man! This country has a lot of problems, and I honestly believe 100% that Mitt Romney has the answers that the other candidates DO NOT-they have no clue. We NEED a president who has morals-who knows right from wrong!!!

Jul 27, 2007 - 3:16 pm Goat:

I have been a Mitt fan/supporter since he saved the Olympics. He is by far the best qualified, most dignified, straightup gentleman we have had run for election in a long long time. IMHO opinion it would a stain on our history not to elect him and I am not nor ever will be a Mormon. Mitt Romney can turn it around he has practice.

Jul 27, 2007 - 7:43 pm Nathan:

Romney is unquestionably taking this Presidency. You will see an eventual disruption of the future Democratic nominee. Romney is a man of faith and a man of God. That is his strength. It is not feigned. It is real. He has thought out answers to the many hard-hitting questions that are being asked of him but beyond that, as with any future President, there will be situations that arise in the future that will be more frustrating to American ideals, more powerfully evil and we have to know that we have a person who is committed to the future, to innovative thinking in technology, innovative thinking in defense, innovative thinking in allowing more American to live out their worth dreams.

Romney is our man.
