Now that’s what I call a horror story. Scarier than anything Hollywood can dream up.

Bravo, Andrew! Bravo! Claaaaasic! Not only great story telling, but great teaching about basic economics and liberty.

I love your presentation. But I some problem with your metaphor because I think it could be put to use more accurately.

Those aren’t zombies, those are vampires; sucking the life’s blood out of the living so they can stay powerful as they continue to appear to be alive.

Zombies are those who’ve had their brains to procreate sucked out of them; they may be walking but have no posterity of their own: the “undead.” Zombies come to envy others are not also undead and so demand that normal children be indoctrinated (brainsucked) in school in all the “life”styles that would mislead the child to zombiehood.

Although you’re not the first invoker of zombies to whom I’ve pointed this out (see this comment to verify), you are the first — to my awareness — a screenwriter of horror movies. Your screenwriting skills could bring my suggestion, were you to adopt it, to the attention of a wider audience. Choosing to raise a family seems a pretty good way to fight those who want us all to be zombies.

Excellent! Especially when it is kept in mind that the zombies were originally meant by George Romero to be the consumer capitalist pigs of America devouring free spirits. I like yours better!!

Night of the living un-dead, blood sucking “House of Representatives” Tax code office!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!

Avoiding_Sulla,

Perhaps the statist elites would be vampires and the mindless bureaucrats and welfare queens would be zombies.

Apr 19, 2009 - 6:19 pm 7. Avoiding_Sulla:

Welfare queens breed. They and their brood consume. As Andrew conceived it, it’s eventually a dead-end for vampires and zombies alike.

Eventually more will recognize that in such a world, postmodernists are barely distinguishable from nihilists. But will they see it in time?

Too bad I can’t write fiction.

Absolutely brilliant, Andrew. Brilliant. And perfectly delivered. Please keep this up. This will make a difference.

You, Andrew and Roger also need to get some great conservative Night of the Living Government comics going and a video game. I’ll be an investor if you all do the creative ground work.

Being “the last man on earth”, I know all about zombies, and Mr. Klavan, you are right on the money!!
