Goldberg Variations

I was going to blog my reaction to President Obama’s disgustingly weak support – if you can even call it support – for the people risking life and limb for the sake of a little freedom and fairness in the theocratic slave state of Iran today, but National Review’s Jonah Goldberg said everything I would’ve said in  his column in this morning’s Los Angeles Times [1] so just follow the link, read him and pretend it’s me.

Speaking of Goldberg, the only time I ever met the man I told him that I had personally sold so many copies of his book Liberal Fascism [2] that he owed me royalties.  He reached into his pocket – but it was a feint and the son of a gun has never forked over so much as a nickel!  All the same, the book is now out in paperback and I have to say:  it’s an essential read that will deepen your understanding of where we’ve been, where we are and where we may be going.  If knowledge is power, now is the time to arm yourself by reading this book.
