"I expect to see Palin run for the senate first, then maybe the top ticket later."

Yeah. Right. She'd be the Michele Bachmann of the Senate if elected. Let's face it. She's a quitter. Thank God McCain didn't win and die.

If Palin runs for president or not, I think the United States is in huge trouble. I haven't been this worried about the nation since Bill Clinton won election the first time with Democrat majorities. The only thing that saved this nation's hide was 1994 when Republicans (mostly conservative) took over both houses. That stopped liberal communism from taking over for at least a baker dozen years.

The question is if 2010 will be a repeat of 1994 or not. If it is not then I fear this once great nation will have gone the way of the dodo, and the Constitution will be worth as much as a piece of toilet paper. Another prediction; if Republicans don't take over in 2010 or at least gain significant numbers then Obama Messiah will not loose in 2012 without a real miracle. If his screwing up this nation by this point hasn't caused voter's to re-examine who to put in office, it isn't going to be a factor in the next Presidential election.

Just spent an hour on the Alaska state web site downloading news articles about Palin's ethics challenges. In each one, some one mentions the cost of money and time stolen from the citizens of Alaska and the personal cost to Palin. She is not as rich as other governors. She gave up her raise this year. The challenges are just plain ridiculous. She - and the state of Alaska - are being harasses by Alinsky's Rules for Radicals #4: make someone walk their talk. Palin has made her name from the ethics reforms she brought forth in the state so she is being harassed with phony ethics violations. Once filed, they are supposed to be private until resolved. The bloggers who file them - paid for by DNC - then make them public contrary to the law. I can see the concern of Palin and those who have to deal with the charges - 15 silly ones so far - with more on the horizon. If only the State could sue those bloggers who file them but they can't. Ironically, Palin runs a transparent government. Unlike someone we know.

"If you noticed. everyone that says the love Palin is a (republican). Now, before you say duh. Think about it this way. Most of america is conservative. Alot of democrats are conservative. I’m a democrat. The republican party has to ask itself, how do I appeal to conservative liberals,"

You think like a democrat, even if you say you're a conservative liberal - whatever that is. The problem with the Republican Party is that it has turned its back on conservative values. Until the party can get its act together, it's not going any place.

Out here in rural America, where conservatism rules, we won't settle for Republican lite again. If the same RINOs, who are now running the party, continue as they are, the republicans will never win another meaningful election. It will be in dibs and dabs and forget about another Republican President, unless he runs as a Democrat because he'll have to win it with the liberal vote. He won't get the conservative vote. McCain made sure of that.

I expect to see Palin run for the senate first, then maybe the top ticket later.
In fact, that may be the best possible outcome.
Alaskans still like her very much, and the crap the DNC and the tool MSM has been pulling against her has pissed off a lot of them.

I echo your sentiment on Obama.
He was a nothing Senator.
Gov. Palin did not have the luxury of simply being "Present" the majority of the time.
Obama accomplished very little since graduating from Columbia/Harvard.
Gov. Palin on the other hand has accomplished a great deal since graduating from the University of Idaho.
Funny to compare the earlier life of the two and how they turned out is it not.
Obama had all the best schooling he could handle, Exclusive private school in Hawaii followed up by the lofty Ivy League Schools.
All the best our great country had to offer. Obviously it was not good enough for him or his spouse.
Nope , his spouse, an ivy leaguer as well, was never even proud of her country until her husband was elected President. I guess we all still owe the Obama's more.
The Obama's are so pathetic....

The Palin family on the other hand is probably down the ladder a couple of rungs on the social scale from the Obama's. After all they did not have the benefit's of Mrs. O's 300k+ mystery job that just vanished after her departure from Chicago. Or the benefits of Tony Rezko's wheeling & dealing on behalf of the Obama family. (Rezko is now a convicted criminal 16 of 24 counts of corruption)
I would have to say though the Palin attitude is much more along the lines of a Famous Democrat who once said,
"Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country."

As far as Senator Frankin goes, well I have to say I am no fan of his but,
we actually have no idea what kind of Senator he will make so lets just see what he is really made of.
Maybe he will take his position serious enough to actually do a good job.(well we can hope can't we, you know hope & change..)

the gov of kansas and az resigned half way through, i don't care what they did, they resigned....obama was a do nothing jr senator , and was not around most of the time as he ran for senator, but he did draw a paycheck.

so, Palin, you go girl...Moral ethical people are with you!!

Romney is without a doubt the cleanest candidate out there, left or right.

I hope there will be a "third" party that emerges. A good solid for the people party. The Self righteous , do as i say not as i do people. QUIT ELECTING THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope Sarah ends up a multimillionaire!!

Now you have Franken on two REALLY important committees...b.s. all the way around..a comedian, he and BO should hit it off really good. Franken is the latest "yes massa" man on the job...

Tom,
Secessionist impulses may not be necessarily outright treasonist, but they generally are based on self-righteous impluses from the leadership of said group. Case in point is the Republic of Texas, who used the tactic of filing liens against the property owned by their critics and even using some strong-armed tactics.
Not very democratic or Constitutional based me thinks.

I really think the ball is in the GOP's court and not only Palin's. With Obama now fumbling at every turn and with Colin Powell now feeling queasy enough to question Obama's decisions, it's ours for the taking. The question remains as to if we can get behind one candidate this early in the game or not. I say we should wait a while. Why rush things? Let Obama continue to ratchet up the deficit and let the unemployment rates rise to 10%. Then the undecided who unfortunately decided "Obama" at the last minute will realize the folly of their ways. I see it happening around me daily.

That's a huge dose of reality I can live with. Better days await us friends.
