1. A. Cuban:I am a Cuban who suffered the confiscation of the family business by Fidel Castro, we were upper middle class, hard working individuals and were lucky to leave in 1965. We emigrated to U.S. and both my wife I and started working until we saved enough money to start a small business. That small business grew and when we were 65 we decided to retire and sold the business. We became U.S. citizens and voted in every election including 2008. McCain was not our candidate but still we voted for him because he was the lesser of two evils. I worked very hard sending emails, and talking to all my family and friends of the danger to elect a Socialist with an attitude endorsed by a Hungarian (Soros) millionaire that hates the U.S. I knew what was going to happen if Obama was elected, not because I am clairvoyant but because we paid the price when our country was seduced by a sweet talker, that promised Hope and Change, honesty and justice, freedom of the press, freedom to form political parties, and free elections in 18 months.
Apr 11, 2009 - 3:50 amNobody paid attention to me including some members of my family, and now we are again living the same process, we are afraid to lose our savings, we are again living the same anxiety we left behind in Cuba, full of terror, poverty, absolute misery which is what the Castros brothers tyrany has converted what was the land of opportunity, where work and decency was rewarded with success. Your article Mr.Whittle has helped me to take the decision I have been postponing since Nov. 4, I am getting out of my beloved adopted country and taking residence in another country while I still can do it. I don´t trust this President and his socialist ideas of Hope and Change. A. Cuban
