In response to “Tom”s 12 items of an Obama presidency. I have to disagree with number 6. If what Joe Biden said is to be believed about this “crisis” that will test Obama and while we may think him wrong when he makes his choice, but to support him. Well that screams to me that Obama will suspend the Constitution.

Now before anyone screams (and they will), I know I could be wrong, but I believe there is a clause somewhere that says the Constitution, or Constitutional rights can be suspended (bare with me since I doubt I will phrase it correctly) in the case of a there to public safety or health. That might be on a person by person basis, or for a region or the entire country (all 50 states). If that happens there will not be any elections in 2010 or 2012 and maybe never again, at least as we have known them in the past.

As I said before, could I be wrong, very much so. Do I believe I am wrong, I do not think so, I am sad to say.

There is no suspension claus in the Constitution. Habaes Corpus may only be suspended (unless you are unlawful combatant)after a declaration of war by congress. There is the Insurrection Act which is a declaration of martial law under certain specified conditions. I suspect that is what you are refering to.

Couldn’t agree more with you, Pat, that jobs growth is a great thing. The problem is that no job has ever been created by the government. Not one that adds any value for the person paying the bill. The only thing that government jobs creates is an ever larger pool of voters who favor a socialist/fascist styled government. And once such jobs are created, it’s almost impossible to eliminate them, so a drain on tax revenues would continue in perpetuity (with annual salary increases as well). And keep in mind, Federal employees (and many state and municipal employees as well) are exempt from Social Security taxes, further reducing the number of taxpayers who are supporting our older citizens.

All of Obama’s proposals have been tried and found wanting. He wants to try the failed European model on the United States because the jury is always out on socialism. All past failures have were because of poor implementation and next time it will be done right.

Europe is actually beginning to move away from the high tax redistributive state. They can’t afford it now or sustain it in the future. Europe has lived with high unemployment and little or no job growth for the past 30 years. They are trying to find a way just as we are going to drink the koolaid.

Universal healthcare? The Europeans don’t have it. What they have is constrained system that limits the quality an access to medical services. Everybody knows that cancer survival is dependent on prompt diagnosis and treatment. The United leads Europe in five year survival rates.

Obama’s environmental and energy policies will destroy jobs just as they have in Europe. In fact, the EU is rapidly discarding green energy because it too is a job killer. I bet that the Europeans are going to “discover”
that global warming was a theory that has been disproven by events (it’s the solar cycle) and has become a hoax.

Fascism is a collective political system of government built around a central organization principle. Obama will build a collective system based on discredited economics and a CO2 con job. He seeks to be an American Mussolini but from the looks of it he just might be more like another Italian from Chicago. Given his money laundering campaign finance scheme he is closer to Alphonse Capone then Benito Mussolini.

I grieve for my country. We, as a nation, have come so far and accomplished so much in our short national lifespan, but now we are in a perplexing state. My grandparents grew up in the South, black, during the Great Depression and I never once heard either of them complain about it. They, instead, were smart, resourceful, worked hard and survived it. I don’t think we have the guts to make those hard sacrifices anymore. Everyone on both sides of the aisle, – Democrats and Republicans, rich and poor, Conservative and Liberal, – all seem to want the easy way out and it’s the easy way out that’s got this country in the mess its in. Are we a nation of people still willing to sacrifice in order to do the right thing or have we really become a nation of whiners who want something for nothing? Are we still a people who built the greatest country on earth by investing wisely and having a healthy relationship with money or have we become folks who can’t wait and save and buy but must have it NOW NOW NOW, even if we can’t afford it? I’ve got kids. I don’t think the America they’ll come into adulthood in will even remotely resemble the one I came up in. I take responsibility for that, too, for like so many, I left it to the next guy to handle things. Apathy and laziness have brought now many a great civilization. You know, I really have to laugh. Four years ago, when President Bush was re-elected, the liberal blog spots sounded exactly like you guys do today.

Personally, I don’t like either candidate. The problem with this country is that there are only two ways of thinking. I am voting for Bob Barr. Little taxation and all of the freedoms to go with it. Our politicians constantly throw issues at the American people that we are never totally going to agree with (abortion, gun control, etc) so we can’t focus on what government is really supposed to be doing. My solution? Stop paying congressmen. Make state and federal governments a voluntary position. Don’t let our elected officials become too comfortable in these seats. Only people who really want to be there will be there. They will have to get the job done and move on to be able to earn a living.

I did read that Dr. Slogan article and of course agree. One thing we must also be aware of is that Bush has changed the presidency by installing empirical mandates, e.g., spying on the citizenry and his notorious preempting war, elimination of habeus corpus. Obama has not said he would protect the constitution. This we should be concerned with. Since this makes the Presidency empirical and not reversing these mandates will just give the next president more power to continue that trend.

If you don’t go beyond the sound of generalities like this, it can come off sounding downright noble. But the truth is, it simply doesn’t work, and we do not have to rely on how it sounds or how it makes us feel to hear it (which Obama’s supporters seem to prefer) to know it doesn’t work because we have decades of empirical evidence through countries like Europe, Russia and China. All of these countries have attempted to build a exactly the society Obama envisions, and they have all abandoned that vision for a more capitalist model.

And why not spend some of that money we waste in Iraq to catch and try Osama bin Laden, the REAL villain, the mastermind behind the attacks on our soil? If there is one thing I like about Barack Obama, it is that he sees it is time to take care of our own. Stop sending jobs overseas, and employ more of our own struggling citizens. Don’t privatize Social Security ( think about what would have happened to YOUR benefits in just the last few weeks with THAT bright plan in place ), and take the burden off of middle class America ( which includes a LOT of us ) of supporting every bad decision the gov’t makes with the sweat of our backs! Look at how the wealth is spread in Palin’s Alaska. Listen to McCain suggest the socialization of bad mortgages. Both presidential candidates voted for the bailout. Everyone is willing to make a logical leap or three to infer what an Obama presidency might look like on the basis of the odd sound clip, but no-one cares to do the same thing for his opposition.

It’s obvious to me that both of these candidates are telling Americans what they want to hear in a time of uncertainty. Obama isn’t a villain; he’s a politician, and one, I believe, who isn’t quite as left-leaning as the right would have you believe. (A socialist? Really? The majority of the people tossing that term around would be hard-pressed to define what socialism is.)

Once the ballots are cast and we have our next president elect, let’s give the man a chance to actually get into office before we pass judgment. At the very least, let’s refrain from wild speculation. I, for one, am betting that hoarding oats for the 31st Century may constitute a slight overreaction.

Ms JR — Yes, I have heard Obama speak (lies, evasive answers, head in the clouds). I was quite undecided until I really started paying attention to what he was saying. He is the one that is erratic and cannot make decisions. The flag lapel pin, the public funding, the withdraw from Iraq — all flip-flop decisions that depended more on popular opinion of the day rather than any given set of morals the guy has.
And how does Sarah Palin come off as sleazy?? Other than the left-wing media portraying her as such? Spreading the wealth? Hardly! Giving Alaskans, ALL Alaskans, what is their due from the profit the state gets from its own resources is not anywhere near taking hard-earned money from one group of people and giving it to another.
Add to that the fact that Obama has absolutely ZERO executive experience, ZERO in foreign policy, ZERO in budgetary matters, and on and on. His inexperience pales in comparison to Palin, who is NOT running for head honcho as Obama is (President or God, it’s hard to tell), but is second in line.
I sincerely do not want an executive rookie at the helm when it comes to our national security either. That’s where McCain has been tested and performed. Please look further than this bloody economic quagmire. Obama is neither our fiscal deliverer nor does he have the experience we need in dealing with foreign policy or national security. Those issues will last far longer than any economic shift.

Iraq must be secured in order to put a dent in being able to defeat terrorists in the region. Let’s quit focusing on BS issues, not have the focus of government be on controlling the people but enabling the people to achieve.

If you don’t want to thank, vote Democrat. Not sure what that means. But if you think abiout all the issues and who is closer to the middle (like Clinton was) where most Americans reside, not the far right, nor the far left, vote for John McCain, the lesser of two evils.

Actually there was a lawsuit filed in PA by Philip J. Berg attorney against Obama on Aug 21, 2008. 08-CV-4083 asking Obama to prove that he is a natural born citizen. The case was dismissed on Oct 24th, 2008 by Judge Surrick. Mr. Berg is appealing the dismissal of his case to the Supreme Court. As a small business owner, I am concerned about the even greater power the federal reserve has. It is always a scary thought that government controlled mortgages (fannie mae and freddie mac), banks,insurance companies and so on. Freddie and fannie were government enterprises that didn’t pay taxes, didn’t report their finances, overstated earnings by billions. Now, it looks like whoever gets to be president, it will be much more government scary!

Any candidate who can support Odinga in his campaign promising Sharia in Kenya is someone I don’t want as president.

Andy Martin in ‘Obama-Ayers Exposed’ says that William Ayers has been the mastermind behind Barack Obama’s rise to power in Chicago.And that ‘It can be said without fear of contradiction, a vote for Barack Obama is in reality a vote to put William Ayers in de facto control of the U. S government.’ That, plus Obama’s Islamist connections gives you an idea of what is truly at stake in this election.

Funny thing about the democrat party is that they don’t even practice “democracy.” Democracy is a process whereby everybody has an equal undivided say. He has to have the vote of a few hundred people to make anything happen in this country. We do not have a dictator ruler. So, that means, George W. Bush did not get us into the mess we’re in, all of our elected officials are responsible for the mess. And quit comparing Obama’s ’spread the wealth’ ideaology with that of Alaska. Sharing the profits of a natural resource of the state of Alaska with its citizens, instead of giving it to the state government, is not the same as taking the profits of the wealthy businessman and giving it to the less fortunate or less successful. There is a big difference people. Wake up. I am seriously considering leaving this country should Obama win. I don’t want to be here when the bomb is dropped.

In this campaign, McCain has (I hope, reluctantly) resorted to sleaze and innuendo about Obama, rather than talking about what he would do in the future. Obama has resisted the urge to go on about Keating 5, but instead has remained positive and upbeat about the future. It is he who has acted like the statesman rather than a toddler in a sandpit, and therefore he who ought to inspire more confidence.

There are several things we should all agree on.
1. The money we earn is ours. If we want to give it to someone else, that should be our choice. None of us want our money taken from us, so we should not rejoice when it is taken from us. So many people are ok with wealth redistribution because they believe that it will not effect them in a negative way (250k). But, if we would not want it to happen to us, we should not wish it on someone else.
2. “the rich keep getting richer” comments esay to explain and requires no understanding of economic. the rich keep getting richer because they know how to get rich. Doens’t make them bad people. What the rest of us need is not their money, but their knowledge. Then, we can get rich. But, I can assure you that those who have gotten rich took risks with no safety net. They could have failed, and probably did a few times, as well as succeeded. A level playing playing field does not yield a level outcome.
3. does anybody remember the national debt? At 10 trillion plus, we just can’t afford more programs now. That is something that any American who has ever had to live on a budget should realize. We should be able to agree on this.
4. Our founding fathers knew that a large powerful government was a bad thing. They were right. Our government is out of control right now. Do you realize we spent more on the “bailout” than we have on the wars since 2002? And the dems were mad that it took them 2 weeks to spend that much money instead of 1. Ou constitution says “the government shall make no law” to limit the government, not the individuals in this country. Our individual freedoms should always be defended. And, our right to voice our opinion, whatever it may be, should be protected by all.
Let us us all forget about politics, parties, race, class, and anything else that devides us. Let’s take a look and what needs to be done to get this country back on track. Let’s hold all of our politicians accountable. Let’s work together to make this country stronger and better. Let’s read the constitution, and remember why this coultry was founded.

Here, on the comments page, is some good evidence that the biggest reason you should reject Obama is the totalitarian nature of the candidate and his supporters. 1.Obama never had a centrist thought in his life before this summer. He is no moderate. Nothing in his history suggests that he would be.
2.He’s a leftist’s leftist. He was the most leftward voting Senator for 2007 according to National Journal. Leftist-statism has never been known to cure any economic crisis…ever.
3.He is undeniably a statist and for the last month has sounded like a full blown socialist. Is there anything that Obama doesn’t think the public sector can do better than the private sector? What programs does he wish to cut? Why does he confuse government with charity? Why does he confuse giving to the government with giving to the people?
4.We are now on the brink of socialism. The government spends 36.6 percent of what we make. What do the leftists posting here think would be a better number? 80 percent? What’s the endpoint? For what reason, shouldn’t the government take everything we make? What in your worldview would prevent them from doing so? I cannot think of anything.
5. I mentioned the leftist totalitarian approach to dealing with opposition by referencing A Manifesto for Media Freedom, and then these Obamabots went ahead and proved the accuracy of my statements via their ensuing actions. If someone anywhere badmouths Barack they then attack as they have here. What’s wrong with simply tolerating diversity? We disagree with you. What’s wrong with that?
6. Note the constant references to race here. Who the heck cares about race? Answer: the racist political left. They call me and others here “white guys” but what does that have to do with anything? Be he magenta, green or powder blue you should never vote for a leftist as they despise our nation and will implode our economy. You have a race? Congratulations, so does everybody else. Who the heck cares about race? Only the left. They live and breathe it.
7.The drones here are all about emotion. They don’t realize that conservatives are not. If you post 5,000 pounds of hysteria you won’t alter our views. It’s a waste of time. We don’t respond to that stuff. Someone who makes the state bigger and has never heard of economic growth (whereby “the pie” is not static) is no one you should vote for. Vote for anybody but Barack.
8.What is the real strategy with all this astroturfing? It’s an appeal to conformity. None of those goods the very rich are buying are made in America by Americans anymore.

Next to none of the gas guzzled by those cars comes from American oil wells.

And for those complaining about unionization? Go back and read your history books about the robber barons and the Industrial Revolution: those who do not learn from our American history are doomed to repeat it.

And, finally, it was FDR’s New Deal and government jobs and work projects that pulled this country out of the Great Depression. Another lesson right there in our history books and Obama paid attention in that class, seems like. The man studied International Policy at Harvard and has a law degree. We need smarts in the Oval Office, not somebody whose daddy bought his way into the Naval Academy and who managed barely to graduate at the bottom of his 800+ graduating class. Come ON, people, use your heads. Vote for men with brains, not macho/macha idiots.

We need to focus on “un-electing” those Senators and Representatives who voted “yes” for the Bailout. They were willing to ignore the 90% of us who were against the Bailout, clearly demonstrating that they do NOT represent us. I sympathize with those in my generation who voted Republican because they wanted to be on the winning team. Lots of my peers bought that bill of goods hook, line and sinker. I’m hoping all of you will wake up and smell the coffee. Wouldn’t it be a better world if everybody was a “have” instead of a “have not”?

People, our families deserve to be able to support themselves on one job, not five. If companies paid line workers even 1/100th of what they pay their executives, that’s the kind of world we could live in. We know from history that very few companies do this willingly. Greed seems to encourage ever greater greed. Does one person really need to make $6,000,000 in annual salary? What kind of “talent” deserves that? Shouldn’t a company that can afford to pay a single executive a $6,000,000 salary be able to pay its line workers a wage high enough that the worker can feed and clothe himself and his children? And why shouldn’t the executive with the $6,000,000 salary pay a greater percentage of taxes than the worker with the $60,000 salary? Just look at the impact a 20% tax rate has on $60,000 ($12,000–leaving $48,000 to live on) versus 35% on $6,000,000 ($2,100,000–leaving 3,900,000 left to live on). Now look what happens at the very bottom: 20% tax rate on $15,600 or the annual equivalent salary of somebody earning $7.50/hour ($3,120–leaving $12,480 left to live on)–that’s not even rent money in a lot places in our country–forget about food, clothing, electricity, heating/cooling and heath care. It’s time for some real change, people. We need fundamental fairness in wages and benefits and we need single payer health care NOW.

What a classic example of the strawman argument; both the author and his sycophants set up positions and policies Sen. Obama has never espoused, and then attack them. One can only conclude that this is because you cannot attack Sen. Obama’s real policies and proposals convincingly.

The idea is not to “pay the poor to be poor”; what a stupid and maliciously misleading thing to say. The point is to let those who need it most keep a little more of their own money, and in turn rebuild consumer confidence and spending. “Trickle up” economics (that is, where the consumer in the consumer economy can afford to consume) will work, and always has. A robust middle class with discretionary income is what built the prosperity of this country. Tax cuts for the rich and shipping of jobs overseas are what has destroyed it.

The more money is available for the middle class to spend, the more goods and services will be purchased, and the wealthier the providers of those goods and services will become. Thus, they will expand their businesses, thus creating more jobs, more spending, and more profitability. It is a positive cycle of produciton and consumption which works for everyone, and in fact is the basis of the capitalist economy, despite the polital right’s attempts to paint Barack Obama as a socialist.

The theory of “trickle down” economics, on the other hand, is a vile lie designed to keep all the wealth in the pockets of the currently wealthy, and deny the rest of us the opportunities this country always promised until, oh, 2000 or so. Not very American at all, frankly, and even if it were, it has been conclusively shown not to work for anyone’s benefit except a handful of plutocrats.

McCain and his supporters persist in running poor Joe the Plumber up the flagpole as an example of the little guy Obama wants to keep down. They conveniently ignore the fact that under Obama’s tax plan Joe, and 95% of his fellow Americans, would pay LESS taxes. They also ignore Obama’s proposals to cut unnecessary government spending (not, by the way, the military, as the Republicans exist) to fund his proposals. They can’t admit he proposes tax cuts and spending cuts, because then they can’t call him a “tax and spend democrat”. So they just lie.

But go on preaching hysteria and lies. It’s the Republican way, after all. “Obama’s a Muslim, but he belongs to a Christian church whose pastor we disapprove of.” “Obama’s a typical Democrat; he wants to raise everyone’s taxes – well, everyone except for 95% of the population.” “Obama’s weak on terror and security because he thinks we should go after the terrorists where they are – Pakistan and Afghanistan – not where they weren’t until we started a fight there – Iraq.”

Don’t you people ever get sore twisting yourself into such ridiculous contortions of failed logic? Isn’t it uncomfortable to have to keep lying to yourself and blinding yourself to facts to maintain your worldview, and to keep choking down the lies of others? Psychologists call this “cognitive dissonance”, and it is a major source of emotional and mental illness. Wouldn’t it just be easier to look at the facts and realize that your party has ruined this country and only a fundamental change of direction away from the politics of greed, war and exclusionary thinking can possibly save it?

Don’t you ever get tired of backing up crusty old millionaires who only want to make themselves richer? How many of you posting here are going to be affected by a tax increase on those making more than $250,000 a year? I’m not, and neither is almost anyone I know. Those who will be affected can afford it and should be required to carry their share.

Don’t you tire of never actually thinking, but allowing yourself to be ruled by the same old ploys of fear – “He’ll steal our money! He’ll let the terrorists get us!” Well, the terrorists didn’t “get us” until George Bush was in power, and not even the most deluded right-winger can deny that nearly all of us, with the possible exception of the boards of directors of Halliburton and Blackwater, have a lot less money than we did eight years ago. Not only that, but countries around the world who used to be our allies now view us as a collection of moronic bullies, thanks to the horribly-failed and cataclysmically mishandled “war on terror”.

Isn’t it insulting to have the same people who are bankrupting you and the country, destroying our international standing and dividing the population into a collection of warring tribes so that they can control us, telling you that only they can save you? And by the way, if Obama wants to spread the money around, why not donate some to charity instead of making slick infomercials?… Checks and balances we need: we need them to keep this country what it is meant to be, FREE. I would like to assure them that if their imagined Fascist state actually existed that they would be locked safely away in a prison or concentration camp, Obama would not be alive let alone on verge of winning the election and the networks would be broadcasting John McCain all the time. If you want to know what a true Fascist state is all about I suggest you watch a movie called “The Lives of Others.” It is about East Germany near the end of the regime. Anybody who believes the last eight years has been anything like that all is in need of psychiatric help. So we don’t act like the morons on the left, I am going go through the steps that would be required to create a Fascist dictatorship in America.

First and foremost you need a leader who creates a cult of personality and rules over an irrationalized in infantilized population. Obamanation does fit that description and Obama is little more then a cult of personality but Democratic nations have similar personality cults. The difference is that our leaders usually get the god-like status only after they leave office.

Second, a Fascist state requires complete control of the collection and dissemination of information. An attempt to do this will be the first warning sign that Obama is set on becoming a dictator. The warning signs are: reinstating the fairness doctrine to shut down talk radio and some form of hate speech law to close down the internet to political discourse. Before anybody tells me that Obama says he is against re-imposing he Fairness Doctrine I will remind you that he also pledged to accept federal funding of his campaign. When a Fascist state takes control of information it means that they will shut down any independent voice including those that now happen to agree with him. Independent voices can change their mind. Look for the Daily Kos and Hot Air to get shut down at the same time.

Third, before a Fascist movement can take over a Republic they first must corrupt the electoral process. This is ongoing as we speak. The Obama campaign financing system is little more then a money laundering scheme and his use of ACORN to create chaos on the voting rolls in order to enable vote fraud are clear warning signs. If the Obama Justice Department investigates Republican “voter suppression” next year that will be another indicator that he intends to create a dictatorship.

Fourth, Fascist dictatorships require control of internal security by an organization that is loyal to the Party and not the country. You just can’t come in and declare the Constitution dead and use force. In the United States, internal security is currently too fragmented to establish a dictatorship. If Obama goes ahead and creates a “national security force as powerful as the military”, then he could gain control of police and National Guard forces and overthrow the constitutional order.

Fifth, and finally, after collectivizing society by the implementation of his spread the wealth policies, the Democrats gain control of 38 state legislatures and repeal the 22nd Amendment that will put the finishing touches on the new America.

This list is not a prediction. It is an indicator list for the purposes of warning the public what is going on. Fascism is not the epithet thrown around by the Stalinist left to smear anybody who isn’t one of them. It is a legitimate political theory of collectivism that relies on local cultural and national institutions to define its nature. American Fascism will most likely take the form of the Daley machine raised to the national level. There will still be elections and an impotent opposition but the Fascist (Democratic) Party will rule in perpetuity. Force will only be used to suppress viable alternatives.

Young people like myself are afraid right now, and rightfully so, when they are fighting and dying in Iraq, and cannot find jobs here at home. However, we must always remember that socialist dictators like Hitler and Stalin rose to power by their appeals to people’s negative emotions like fear during a time of economic distress. Let us hope that the Constitution is still in use in 2012, and that there are not socialist or UN-mandated flags flying over America.

Do not allow Obama to tear us apart and lead to civil war or anarchy in the streets! THERE IS STILL HOPE FOR AMERICA, if we will but turn back to God and heal the hurts prior generations have wrought on this land and our freedoms. Let us NOT repeat our parents’ and grandparents’ mistakes, but rather LEARN from them.

This is pathetic. It is frightening to observe how fractured America has become. On one hand we have the Obamabots whose idea of an argument is to call conservatives “stuuupid”, while on the other we have right-wing Evangelicals convinced that the planet will stop revolving on its axis if Obama is elected. Add to that the racial, religious and class divisions that both sides enthusiastically embrace, there is not alot to feel optimistic about.

Frankly, neither candidate appeals to me. Obama seems to be a nice man, but his books show a narcissistic side to his personality that I could do without. His willingness to abandon Iraq regardless of the consequences makes me wonder how seriously he would take America’s obligations to its allies. He has a consistent habit of keeping bad company, and his complete lack of executive experience should automatically disqualify him from the Presidency.

McCain has tried to portray himself as a maverick, when he is anything but. He has violated his principles and has chosen a running mate whose experience is not that much greater than Obama’s (although it is fun to watch the righteous anger she provokes in champaign socialists). His support for invading Iraq when we were already committed to Afghanistan and Pakistan puts his judgment under a shadow. And while he was clearly ready to place himself in harm’s way for the sake of his country, that in itself does make him presidential material. Finally, both of their economic policies are jokes, something the world cannot afford.

My preferred solution would be to place all of the “end-of-days” religious fundamentalists and racial-revolutionaries in a locked room. After one hour the survivors should be taken out and shot. Alternatively, both sides can start taking one another seriously. The hard-right needs to understand that America was not founded as an exclusive Christian theocracy, and that the writings of Ann Rand are of little comfort to a minimum wage worker who has lost their job. The hard-left likewise need to realize that America is at war with religious supremacists who are globally dispersed; can draw upon significant resources and support, and have stated that they will turn our freedoms against us. These terrorists are not mis-understood freedom fighters raging against American cultural and economic imperialism; they are smart, well-funded and adaptable. Measures such as wire-tapping may be distasteful, but are justifiable considering the circumstances. Truisms declaring that anyone who sacrifices freedom for safety deserve neither are cold comfort to someone who has been killed by a car bomb.

The ‘other’ candidate has allowed foreign money to contaminate his campaign coffers.

He’s allowed fraudulent voter registration on his behalf by members of an organization he worked for and trained in earlier years. And for whom he was a lawyer at one time.

He’s allowed his campaign staffers (13) to fraudulently receive ballots in order to vote in OHIO – a vital swing state.

He’s done all these things and so much more. But too many Americans are lazy. They haven’t bothered to find out for themselves who this ‘other’ candidate is. They’ve depended on the media to do their job to bring to the voter the truth.

BUT THE TRUTH HAS BEEN SUPPRESSED.

And we are a vulnerable nation because of it.

So if the casual observer thinks some of us are too passionate, too ‘unfair’ to our fellow Americans, understand we’ve been at this for almost two years now, battling what we consider outrageous behavior on the part of one candidate and his IN-THE-BAG MEDIA — and we know what’s on the line:

The security of our nation and our friends abroad.

But the casual observer can’t make the connection. He’s clueless.

Since when is feeling like you deserve the things that you have worked hard to earn selfishness? Let’s look at this whole “spreading the wealth is good for everyone” thing. The “rich” are already paying 70% of the income tax collected in this country, but the “less fortunate” are getting the majority of government benefits – which come out of the income tax that is collected. Some people who collect benefits don’t even pay income tax at all. This is a charitable nation. Most Americans give to those less fortunate. But we choose how much we give and to which charity. We give by choice. I contribute to several charities every year – and I only make just enough money for Obama to vote to raise my taxes twice – once in March and again in June. By the way, I am a 4th year teacher, so guess how little I make. Oh, but he’s had a change of heart and now he only wants to raise the taxes on the wealthy. Right. Then just how is he going to pay for all that spending he is going to do? By raising everyone’s taxes – just like Bill Clinton did, after promising (and getting elected on that promise) not to. Wake up. If he thought just a few months ago it was okay to raise taxes on middle-class America, what makes anyone with a brain think he won’t think it’s okay if he’s elected? Overall, Obama has voted 94 times to raise taxes and prevent tax cuts. Obama won his senate seat on the promise to lower taxes and then never even bothered to introduce one piece of legislation to that effect after he was elected. He’s made plenty of speeches, written several memoirs, and planned a million dollar – or is it 2 million – party for himself, though.

Let’s talk about how concerned Obama and Biden really are for those less fortunate…Biden contributed 0.3% of his salary to those less fortunate last year – and that was the largest contribution he has made in the last 10 years. I guess that was “fair” enough for him. Palin contributed twice as much in the last two years than Biden did in the last 10 years despite earning considerably less money. Obama was more generous than Biden, contributing a little over 5% of his income last year. Meanwhile, McCain, who Obama had the nerve to suggest was making selfishness a virtue, contributed 25% of his income. Yes, 25% – not 2.5% – a whole quarter of his income. Sooo, who is the one making it okay to be selfish?? It seems the democrats only want to spread everyone else’s money around.

And for all those people out there who still think that Obama’s tax plan won’t hurt them because they don’t make over $200, 000 a year (or whatever the going “surprise – you’re rich” rate is), well, I guess you’re right – as long as you don’t have to buy anything. You know, like gasoline, food, clothing…that kind of thing. And heaven help you if you rent because your next lease is going to be through the roof. Don’t you realize that all those “wealthy” people and companies Obama is planning to raise taxes on are the ones who employ most of us and who produce most of the goods and services we buy? Do you really think Exxon-Mobile is going to say, “Oh, well, there goes our profit margin. I guess we’ll just have to absorb the cost of this tax hike – I mean, what else can we do? We can’t raise the price of gas – we NEVER do that.” Come on. The corporations who are going to be taxed are just going to transfer the cost of those taxes onto the consumers – that would be you and me. And that goes for cell phone service, internet service, and pharmaceuticals, too. Oh, yeah – if you buy over the counter or prescription medication, plan on the price going up if Obama is elected. He can promise you whatever he wants to with his health care plan, but he cannot control the pharmaceutical companies – they are private entities and they can charge as much as they want to for their products. And they are big business, so they are going to be hit with higher taxes, the cost of which will be transferred to the people who purchase their products. So, yes, Obama will raise the taxes on the wealthy and big business – and small business. Which WILL effect you – very detrimentally. You can kiss any pay raise you were counting on goodbye. Some people will have to take pay cuts to keep their jobs, and others will be laid off. There certainly won’t be any new jobs created. Oh, but if he keeps his promise, you’ll get some money back at the end of the year. And it will barely put a dent in how much extra you spent on everything because of his tax plan. But then there’s all that spending he’s going to do. So, in actuality, he’s going to HAVE to raise taxes on middle America, too – on top of causing the cost of living to increase dramatically due to the tax hikes on businesses. And you still think his tax plan won’t affect you because you don’t make $200,000 a year? Either you haven’t really thought that through, or you are as naïve as Obama who thinks this economic plan of his will work – or is even financially possible. This is all just rhetoric to try to win votes.

You can trust John McCain and Sarah Palin because they are the real deal; reformers with a record who stand by their words and will always put their country first.

Time and time again this team of mavericks has stood up, taken on tough issues and delivered. They’re the real deal. They have a clear record that can deliver results, not just rhetoric that delivers votes.

Young people have come up with a saying, “Don’t drink the kool-aid Obama is pushing on you.”

Obama has no accomplishments, we don’t know him, he wrote a memoir, he has racist connections, and he is using hypnosis, he thinks he’s the Messiah and that he should be in control of the world. We’ve seen this story before in Germany in the 1930’s, haven’t we? We know what happened there.

Obama’s use of hypnosis in speeches is why:
-nothing sticks to him
-the huge crowds
-the huge money contributions
-the mesmerized effect, especially in young people, who, because of their imaginations are more susceptible to hypnosis (read the document)
-the exorbitant election fraud, rule-breaking and bias in the media

-people are calling him the “greatest leader of a generation” with no accomplishments

You have to read this document to understand how his hypnosis works. Logically and rationally, why not get to know this guy a little more before handing the world over to him? Why not wait?

Getting all the Democrats to agree on anything is like hearding cats. So how come there are already 27 amendments. Were all the proposers and supporters of those amendments traitors?

The US constitution is not an infallible document, there are mechanisms for changing it and as long as those mechanisms are respected and followed, there is no problem that I can see with wanting to alter it.

I’m sure the authors of the constitution would not have wanted people to treat it as some sort of religious dogma that cannot be challenged or altered to fit new circumstances.
