The right wing in this country should be ashamed. You'll say anyrhing for money--lying to increase your bottom line. Minnesotans aren't stupid. The people who are stupid are the Americans who believe the garbage and hate that people like you put out in the world on a daily basis. And by the way bozo, Franken's wife is a catholic--if anyone is a catholic hater it's all you evangelical nuts.

110:
Thousands of votes are thrown out or invented, the fundamental rights of a democracy are abused and then calmed by a court decision and and that is a celebration? Think higher standards.

I kind of wish you conservatives and Republicans would get your act together and focus on basics. The Bush business aside, I've been pretty neutral politically and see the American political system as being basically a single party system made up of two parts, sort of a "Demorepublican Party". Pure liberalism has its pluses and minus in government, as does pure conservatism, and you really need healthy chunks of each to have a government that can be forward thinking, yet be mindful of not wasting money and overextending budgets. The Republicans I know personally really just wish their party would focus on bread & butter issues like making government run more efficiently and getting taxes under better control, and just trashcan all that distracting and ultimately hypocritical family values nonsense that's tied in with right wing Christian support. All this internal bickering over Palin has really shown how much you guys really don't know what your party is suppose to stand for these days. Just hanging around with fingers crossed, hoping that Obama and the Democrats fail so badly that people will feel forced to vote Republican is probably not your best strategy. But I could be wrong -- people can be pretty random in how they vote.....

108. Anonymous:

vivo.” The younger generation are voting centrist and left. Right or wrong, that’s a reality."

"you want reality…wait until they figure out they’re going to work harder, have less money and less personal choices i.e. freedom then the previous generation had(it will not take long),and then see how “left” the younger generation will be."

Maybe you're right. Until then, let them find out and start a "revolution".

I'll be ready to adapt and live in peace.

Franken graduated cum laude from Harvard with a degree in political science, which makes him better qualified to be a senator than the Shrub was to be president.

The Florida recount, the Washington recount, and this Minnesota mess of possible fradulent ballots remain shameful events in American history.

No, they are events we should be proud of. The disputes were resolved peacefully, by rule of law. As opposed to how Iran settles THEIR disputed elections.

Despite the playground carping, one central point remains certain, no one, left or right, likes a questionable election.
The Florida recount, the Washington recount, and this Minnesota mess of possible fradulent ballots remain shameful events in American history. Counting and recounting the ballots until your candidate is elected is illegal. America should have the correct history of fair elections and never be comparable to what happened in Iran or Venezuela.
Whatever the penalties for tampering and fraud are, they are not high enough. Playing fast and loose with the ballot boxes should be criminalized to the level of high treason.

100. AThinkingPerson:

"Re Vivo: “What’s pushing this country into socialism are the Republican policies…”

Nice try."

Made you think. You cannot accept your own realities. People have seen what the Reps are capable of and are rejecting them. The younger generation are voting centrist and left. Right or wrong, that's a reality.
