And the Veepstakes Winners Are …

A group of lucky winners guessed the correct running mate.

September 9, 2008

Grand Prize Winner – Michael O’Connor of Southern California will receive the Asus-Eee PC mini-notebook.

I hate you all. (Just kidding.)

I wasn’t even close.

Sep 11, 2008 - 7:50 pm 2. Donna B.:

Heh… I’m a WINNER! woohoo. Congrats to the other 47 people who saw the handwriting on the wall too!

Does the t-shirt say:

PajamasMedia had a contest and all I got was this lousy T-shirt?

Just kidding… I’m quite pleased.

[...] And for this amazing ability I get a T-Shirt! A Pajamas Media T-Shirt.  (Didn’t they know I’d prefer a link and that would have cost them less?) [...]

Sep 11, 2008 - 10:48 pm 4. Joanna C.:

Thank yew… a thank yew very much!

How cool is this?!?

Congratulations to everybody who had the foresight to pick the Magnificent Palin and the Windbag Biden. Can’t wait for the debates!

Thanks, PJ Media!!!

Sep 12, 2008 - 3:49 am 5. Tom Mathers:

Thanks PJ Media!
Winner. Woot! The Hail Mary is caught. Beldar the Great put me on to Sarahcuda, and someone else (forget who) argued that Obamessiah’s ego would keep him away from HRC. Lucky for us, both came in. Can’t wait for the debate.

Wow… I’d forgotten I’d even entered the contest, much less guessed correctly (Biden was a guess, Palin a hope).

I hope that Michael enjoys his new computer – and if he doesn’t PJMedia will have my address on file… :)

Sep 12, 2008 - 4:36 pm 7. Jeremy:

I will tempt fate and predict: McCain 287, Obama 251. Thanks to PJmedia for the swag!

Sep 12, 2008 - 6:04 pm 8. Don Meaker:

I also predicted the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Don’t clap, throw money!

Sep 12, 2008 - 9:08 pm 9. C Smith:

I would also like to predict that the Soviet Union is not long for this world.

Sep 13, 2008 - 3:31 am 10. Wellspring:

To those of you who picked correctly: wow. You’re either lucky or very, very insightful. Those choices were both surprises.

Great thinking.

Sep 13, 2008 - 4:19 am 11. Deborah:

I “lost,” but I feel like a winner because Sarah Palin is the Republican vice-presidential nominee!
Say—-did someone named John McCain enter the contest?

Sep 13, 2008 - 4:31 am 12. Matthew Groom:

Damn! I didn’t think Barack was so stupid he’d pick Biden, or that McCain was so wiley that he’d pick Palin! Shows what I know… Congrats to the winners.

Sep 13, 2008 - 7:26 am 13. Dana Mathewson:

Well, I got Sarah right. And that makes all Americans winners, the way I see it.

Sep 13, 2008 - 8:36 am 14. Winston:

this sucks

Sep 13, 2008 - 11:59 am 15. RightWingConspiracy:

Is there going to be do-over when The One throws Joe under the bus to get Hillary on the ticket?

The Thrilla from Wasilla!

Sep 13, 2008 - 12:37 pm 16. kay:

doh, I forgot to enter the Veepstakes, but picked Palin in a poll about 3 months ago :) The news acted like it was the surprise of the century, but we here at PM had her tied with Rommney quite a ways back…

Sep 13, 2008 - 7:18 pm 17. Malvolio:

I don’t feel too bad about losing — I still don’t understand the Biden pick. What was that about?

But did we call it on Palin or what!

Sep 14, 2008 - 10:46 am 18. J.D.:

SO, will there be a NEW “winners list” when Obama realizes his mistake and swaps out Biden for Hillary?

That’s the buzz inside the beltway…
