Muslim World’s Vice Squads Hunt ‘Jewish’ Barbie Dolls

Wait until they realize some of their favorite comic book characters were created by Jews as well.

When Iranian toy seller Masoumeh Rahimi thinks of Barbie and Ken dolls, she thinks of heavy artillery — only worse. “I think every Barbie doll is more harmful than an American missile,” Ms. Rahmi told the BBC back in 2002. In April 2008, Iran’s top prosecutor and religious cleric, Ghorban Ali Dori Najafabadi, upped the anti-Barbie campaign by calling for a ban on the sale of all Barbie dolls from the country. “Barbie is an emissary of nudity and promotes moral corruption,” wrote the hardliner newspaper Kahyan.

Barbie and Ken have been picked on by Islamic leaders for years, since Saudi Arabia announced it was banning the sale of Barbie from the kingdom in September 2003, stating on its official website:

Jewish Barbie dolls, with their naked clothing, lewd positions, and different samples and accessories, are symbols of decadence of the perverted West.  Let us recognize their danger and worry.

The ban-Barbie effort was huge. The religious police, or Mutaween, hung colorful posters outlawing “Jewish Barbie dolls” in schools and hospitals across the country. For a while, photos of confiscated Barbie dolls were posted on the government website.

Yes and Obama will sit down and have a reasonable peace conference with them.

I have always imagined there is a planet called “Zon” which isn’t too far away and they have a super worm hole telescope which allow them to watch the earth closely. Of course they don’t call us the earth they call us “luf Kookinmatter” which loosely translates to the planet of crazy people. Another loose translation is the comedy channel.

I am sure they find the barbie episode amusing.

Oct 9, 2008 - 10:18 am 3. seketabi:

No, it’s not a joke. This is not surprising, but in Iran, at least, the similar dolls in proper hijab don’t sell very well, either. See http://www.csmonitor.com/2008/0915/p04s01-wome.html

Only one qualm about this article – Ms Jacobsen, the vast majority of Iranians are not Arabs. They’re usually a bit touchy about it, too.

Susan Katz:

This is NOT a joke. It is deadly serious. And don’t forget, this is not some kook fringe group protesting this. It is officially sanctioned government bans.

This is the face of Islamo-fascism. Not the kamikazes that flew planes into the World Trade Center. Rather, so called Muslim moderates. This is a religion with 1 Billion adherents. The 9/11 jihadis are only a tenth of one per cent. The rest just hate us and want to subjugate us.

Do the math.

seketabi, the fact that they are not arabs is a nuance. This is the same pattern you see in every society dominated by islam. If they are asians, persians, turks or africans makes no difference.

Oct 9, 2008 - 11:03 am 7. Bob Halpern:

Lifetime liberals take note. unfortunately it’s not a joke. but the joke will end up being on us and our civiliztion if we don’t take heed. that’s why it’s so critical to connect the Islamic dots in this ever more threatening scenario and vote Republican in November. it doesn’t take a genius to figure it out. it’s 1938 in Germany once again.

The particular Barbie Doll pictured does seem to be underdressed. It is possible that it is a fraudulent knock-off or that it is a special run for some country that likes their kids in micro-skirts.

The actual dolls are no doubt made in one of the Asian Tigers or China. So are they Confucian or Communist?

That’s now coming to a home near you, if you vote Obama.

Yes, TeamPlayer, I mean that sincerely. I am not name-calling. I know my history. I see the signs.

Maybe a Ken doll that literally blows up(in the face of the infidels, of course!)

Oh how one’s imagination could run wild !

Oct 9, 2008 - 9:53 pm 25. Rachel Cohen:

Barbie is not Jewish. Look at that hair! How sad is this culture, how devoid of purpose when they start to worry about toys and dolls. Evidently, peaking in the 14th century wasn’t so great.

I was planning to make a bacon Cheese Burka. You know for display at the National Gallery. Yes the same National Gallery that had the piss Christ and the virgin Mary covered in fecal matter. But I’m pretty sure the open minded tolerant appraisers for the gallery would see no artistic merit in a bacon cheese burka even though it was to protest grotesque abuses of human and especially women’s rights in Islamic nations. The irrational left seem ready to howl abuse of rights at anyone except those that actually abuse them and scream intolerance at everyone except the intolerant.

How can moderate Muslims not be outraged by this stupidity? And Barbie looks more Scandinavian to me. I know a Muslim Barbie was brought out, but now it will have to go be recalled as she is showing both eyes instead of the now obligatory one, as showing two eyes invites rape, apparently.

Build your reactor on Islamic principles only; following the principles of true Islamic science such as Jabir ibn Hayyan (7th century Islams greatest scientist and most recent alchemist of note) of blessed memory.

And to the princes and sheiks of Saudi Arabia. Do not deign to enter Mecca while beating within your chest lies a Jewish pacemaker (Paul Zoll 1952). This is only a device used by the Jews to corrupt the hearts of the faithful. Remove their evil defibrillators from your houses of healing and replace them with faith in the merciful one.

SP – What are you talking about, Muslims being nice people? Good Lord, look at what their Holy Book propounds: Heathens are to be eliminated, as are apostates. Christians and Jews can live, as long as they acknowledge the supremacy of Islam. If not, they, too, die. Women are specifically inferior to men. Having sex with an unmarried woman is considered unclean… as in fecal-matter unclean. Homosexuality in devout Muslim countries is, resultantly, about 25%. I could go on, but you get the picture.

The public here should be more sensitive to the religious and cultural traditions and customs of Islamic nations. Is anybody here outraged with Amish believes? Or that some Evangelical Christians have their dress code conservative, and do not approve sex before marriage?
Why Muslims then?
Well, people believe that a girl after 12 must be shy, must not expose the parts of her body that may provoke men’s sexual desire, must get married a virgin. For us it may look ridiculous but for them it is right and exactly what their religion is saying. Christians were the same just 100 y.a.

Muslims rightly recognize that post-modern crapitalism seeks to sexualize and exploit their children. They don’t want their daughters dressed like Brittany slut clones,or their sons dressed and acting like EMINEN ICET Ludacris,or other exemplars of “advanced, progresive Western culture”.If we in the West had shown similar resistance, back in the 70’s our culture would be saner, and the conflict with Islam would be far less severe than it is today.Barbie now, is not what she was in the 60’s.

Oct 14, 2008 - 11:53 am 53. Marc Malone:

Russian Bear – Why do we have a problem with it? Because if that 12-year-old DOES expose her body to the menfolks’ uncontrollable lust, it’s her fault, and they STONE HER TO DEATH! Same kind of thing if she “allows” herself to get gang-raped. Why was she out and about without a male family member to escort her? The better question is, “Why does she need an escort?” Because the Qu’ran teaches that women are inferior to men. They are chattel.

deguello – Are you insane? Do you hear what you’re saying? If we, too, had suppressed the evolution of Barbie, well, gosh, the Islamofascists would find us more tolerable?!? How would siccing the morality police on Barbie make our own society saner?

I know you spout a lot of leftist stuff on this site, but that has to be the most America-hating bilge I’ve ever seen pumped here: You’re saying we should be more like the Islamofascists; that we compare unfavorably with them; that we’re less moral. You have lost your mind!

Oct 14, 2008 - 4:45 pm 54. deguello:

So what you are saying is that exploiting women, turning them into sex objects, and making lots of money in the bargain is the American dream. By the, I’m Deguello’s wife and an MBA.`The Islomfascists hate us because we export a trash culture (did I also mention that I’m in “show business”?)whose only goal is to make money for those who sell it to the public. And it’s not only the Arabs who hate oure culture–talk to any Sarah Palin supporter or European. It’s tolerated because it’s a profit making commodity PS. Evolution of Barbie? How about the degeneration of barbie from a wholesome california girl girl into a slutty pole dancer.Morality police? the only morality in U$A is the morality of the market: impose and sell toxic garbage in the U$, and then do so in the rest of world. When they complain, bomb ‘em into submission, market it, then call it democracy.

Oct 14, 2008 - 5:57 pm 55. Marc Malone:

deguello – I agree that the culture has gone downhill. I just don’t buy some of the products, nor do I allow my girls to get certain ones. I don’t let them play with Bratz dolls, either. But that’s me as a parent, not the government.

I’m strongly against the government getting involved, as they can only make things far worse… like the Islamists do. That’s the difference. The thing to remember is that the Islamists are FAR RIGHT, not left. I don’t want our culture warriors emulating that behavior. Fascism is a very small shift to the right for them. Good belief systems become bad systems with just such a small shift.

Sorry I confused you with hubby.

Oct 15, 2008 - 5:12 am 57. deguello:

Mark Malone: by way of clarification. I do not want the govt. or a religion to censor speech or dress;however,we live under a largely secularized culture, they don’t,and until they become convinced of the merits of the western system,(are there any left?) they have every right to live under sharia law.Whenever I talk to muslims, their chief criticism of the US is not our (justified) resistance to Islamic terrorism, but rather, the attempt to market degeneracy. (Rush Limbaugh has made the same point).I try to point out that just as many Americans are offended, and that the US being largely, a plutocracy, defended by liberal relativists,it’s impossible to shame businesses into not promoting trash. The biggest recruiter for Islamic suicide bombers in the world isn’t Bush,it’s madonna. An “accidental” burning of a warehouse filled with madonna cds followed by a slap on the wrist conviction for the person responsible for the accident, repeated a hundredfold, would go a long way, toward reversing ouor socio-cultural decline.

Oct 15, 2008 - 12:07 pm 58. Russian Bear:

Marc Malone,
In terms of women’s rights, women generally had more legal rights under Islamic law than they did under Western legal systems until the 19th and 20th centuries. For example, “French married women, unlike their Muslim sisters, suffered from restrictions on their legal capacity which were removed only in 1965.
The Islamic law Sharia is not that simple like you are portraying it in the part of crimes and punishments. There are well defined conditions for both. I am not a supporter of capital punishment, but that were not Muslims who had come up with the idea of stoning for adultery and rape. That were Jews. Moses in particular. And, oh my God, once upon a time they stoned to death a man for picking up firewood on Saturday! Just read the Bible or Torah. It is there. In the judean-Christian tradition. Mohammad just borrowed the idea.
The problem with Sharia is that, being a religious law, it regulates the political system and the work of the government too, thus making “separation of religion from the state” an apostasy. That is why the mullahs and the Islamic rulers are involved and are concerned about Barbie. From their religious and moral views this doll is at least a case of “indecent exposure”, for you to understand. Indeed the doll is shaped like an adolescent woman, has breasts, wears lingerie, and everybody can take an up-skirt look at her.
Anothe bigger idea would be to make Ken with erected penis and Barbie with some kind of vagina and let the kids play.

Oct 15, 2008 - 11:18 pm 59. deguello:

Boris: Well stated, but please don’t give Mattel, and other manure mongering American enterprises, ideas,it may be just a matter of time before Ken @ Barbie are made anatomically correct, and sold to schools for elementary school level sex education,or a “Barbie Bordello” developed, complete with Barbie the Ho! and Ken as her pimp,to encourage young girls to become”sex workers”, (one of the few jobs available to women post financial meltdown”. There are enough corrupt “progressive parents out there to turn this into the next moneymaking cabbage patch craze. Oh no! I just gave the toymakers more ideas!

Oct 20, 2008 - 12:41 pm 61. Khalid:

This is nonsense. There are jews living in Yemen, Iran, Bahrain, Morocco, Tunisia.. bla bla bla.. The problem between Israel and the Araba world is not religious. It’s a land grab and every decent human being is not going to just accept it! Please stop spreading b.s. and stop trying to gain more sympathizers to your selfish cause.
