And Obama wasn’t the only one associating with Ayers. What about the Annenberg Foundation and the president of Brown University? Whose idea was it to entrust Bill Ayers with the disposition of millions of dollars? And for what purpose?

Next time Obama mentions how he opposes “tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations,” he should be asked whether he wants to tax the contributions that wealthy people and corporations made to the subversive “nonprofits” he guided.

Thanks, Bob. Great work, although I was hoping to see a little more detail about the attempted murder and the conspiracy to commit murder of our young men in uniform and their innocent dates. It’s not that I believe that our men and women who work in police stations or the Pentagon are less worthy of our support as a nation, but it gives a wider lens view to those who wish to pooh-pooh the full intention of the “tear down the system” brigade…who now shade their hatred of the military with a faux concern for the men and women who wear the uniform.

Sen. Obama has shown a very strong instinct to call “illegal” any shots fired at our enemies by our soldiers and a somewhat more cavalier attitude about shots fired by our enemies AT our soldiers.

Make no mistake about it, anyone intending to bomb our Pentagon and explode nail guns at young men in uniform and their dates…is an enemy of state. Anyone seeking to tear down the system and infuse Maoist, Leninist, Marxist, Communist Party USA propaganda as a means of destroying our government from the inside, is an enemy of state.

What has never been vetted by the Democratic Party Media (a party which Soros and his minions say they own lock, stock and barrel since they paid for it) are the relationships with Carl Davidson, Mike Klonsky, Khalid al Mansour, Frank Marshall Davis, Democratic Socialists of America, the New Party, Committees of Correspondence, the Nation of Islam, Cynthia Miller, Jennifer Mason, Reverend Wright, Moss, Meeks, Pfleger, Odinga, radical professors at college, Rashid Khalidi, Tony Rezco, the late Edward Said, Robert Malley, Ali Abunimah…in addition to Ayers/Dorhn and the unrepentant attempted murderers from these fringe extremist groups past and present.

Some of these people are white, some of them are black and some of them have heritage from Arab countries in the Middle East. What are the things they have in common? They all have ties to Sen. Barack Obama and they all have a extremist viewpoint in which America and Israel needs to be brought to their knees.

The allegedly Soros owned and paid for Democratic Party and the Democratic Party Media (but for Soros and the fringe left crowd would likely cease to exist) have concealed these associations, blockaded all inquiries into them …and now…are seen palming the race card in a street defense of their insidious game of Three Card Monte.

This is the Dream Team defense on steroids. Distract the issue away from double murder and onto how “racism” is the root cause of the inquiry. Even when inquiring about unrepentant white SDS bombers and attempted murderers.

When libraries and universities conspire to block information, when the Democratic Party Media refuses to ask the questions, when vetting process is skewed in favor of those who want to slander America, hurt Israel, and sneak extremism into the body politic…we have all the ingredients of a leftist coup. When law schools take money from extremist groups and write whole articles from only one point of view, we have all the ingredients of a silencing of principled dissent.

When there are “calls to action” to shout down and drown out voices opposing fringe radical belief systems, when a “fairness doctrine” and lawsuits are set up to be used to exterminate an entire dissenting viewpoint, you have all the ingredients for leftist totalitarianism.

Let there be not one shred of doubt, the ingredients are there and a chill wind is blowing.

In closing, all these propagandas are false. Obama did not meet Ayers until 1995, as they ALL want to make people believe. Please do your own research before believing these propagandas. Obama’s proposal of “Change” for the better is a HUGE threat to some people. They are incapable of “Change” or even the slightest chance of accepting it. So here is my wisdom for everyone –

Why has the Feds not looked into any of this? The answer is that there is no evidence of any wrongdoing. You cannot persecute someone merely by association. Should we condemn and persecute all the family members of the likes of Ted Bundy, David Berkowitz, Charles Manson, John Wayne Gacy, etc.? These family members are all associated with these serial killers but are they evil?

All three – Dohrn, Barry and Michelle worked at Sidley Austin at the same time. I understand it was Ayers’ dad – the “godfather” of Chicago politics I happened to hear this AM – who got BO the job at that lawfirm.

Also, his childhood mentor, CPUSA Frank Davis, left Chicago to head for Honolulu where they met. I would think he’d have known people/groups Barry might want to hook up with after college.

Barry’s roommate at Oxy was a Pakistani. I’ve read BO traveled to Pakistan between time at Oxy and enrollment at Columbia. Mystery surrounds that time also. BO has resisted revealing where he’s traveled – his passports – I think too.

BO admits in his autobiographies he’s always chosen to hang with radicals. I wonder when he had a change of heart.

Ayers still thinks what he did was right but insufficiently destructive.
Forgiveness is a virtue, but forgiving someone for attempting to murder American soldiers and their wives/girlfriends or blowing up police stations doesnt mean having to ever accept their viewpoints as ok.
No American should ever willingly associate with Ayers or Dohrn lest he be seen as sympathetic to their viewpoints. The fact that Obama consistently sought the company of such people is proof enough of how he views this country.
It’s absurd that people who claim to love America are going to vote for this guy.

That is correct. I see zero evidence to support the charge that Barack Obama is personally a violent man. Nonetheless, minimally at a gut level he sees nothing really wrong with those who have carried out murderous attacks on our “fascist” country. It even blinds to you to wondering Hey – what *is* a police state, anyway, and why is it all the most Socialist governments are the most brutal police states?

Ayers-Dohrn are not just play-acting Commnist
revolutionaries, they are actual Communist revolutionaries. Go Google “SDS KGB” and you will see a link to an FBI file released in 1976 per the Freedom of Information Act detailing SDS and Weathermen meetings in Czechoslovakia in 1967 and in Havana in 1969 and 1970. Read up on the Venona transcripts’ revelations about the CPUSA. Ask yourself weather Jeremiah Wright’s rantings don’t sound a little…well, Leninist, don’t they? Recall – as you will see photocpied in the 1976 FBI report – the “radicals’” regard for the significance of “black nationalism” in the USA as an instrument with which to subvert “US imperialism” from within. Recall Ayers’ and Dohrn’s actual activities. Ask yourself whether your belief that “well, people change” is really more important than the rational inference that maybe they *don’t* change – they just learn how to work within the system. Great article! Stanley Kurtz seems to be the only journalist who has been pursuing the Obama’s connection to Ayers while co-chairing the Chicago Annenberg Challenge for 4 years. The information is just now (
and slowly) coming out because Kurtz was stonewalled for a long time.

Obama doesn’t want people to know how radical he really is. His associations, though, are giving him away and when you put all the pieces together, Obama is VERY DANGEROUS for our country. I can’t believe that someone like this has gotten so close to POTUS.

What is really fun is looking at the early contributors to Obama’s campaigning career and not only would he get launched from Ayer’s place but one of the first contributors was: Rezko Foods.

Quite the opposite of his view of being ‘different’, Barack Obama is tightly supported by a number of PACs throughout his early campaigns, often running with very little more than just PAC money.

What is interesting is a few of the Rezko associated names from the DoJ list show up back in ‘95 supporting Obama with contributions. A business associate of Rezko’s puts the first association between them in 1990 when Rezko offers Obama a job with his Rezmar group. Obama declines, but in the law practice he heads to will work on a number of cases for Rezko.

That entire set of people, beyond Ayers, continues to show up in various problematical ways. Aiman Alsammarae being one of them, and he has close ties to Rezko and multi-billionaire Nadhmi Auchi, who was a financial investor in Rezko and headed up one of the banks investigated in the Oil For Food scandal. Actually his bank, BNP, would merge with Paribas under the money of the Desmarais family in Canada which had holdings in Iraq’s oilfields under Saddam. So of course he was ‘against the war’ as the people behind him had financial interests in keeping things as they were. He would flip-flop when Alsammarae went to Iraq and become pro-war for a few months, right up to the point where Alsammarae was tried and convicted of banking fraud in Iraq for a contract there to build a power plant in Iraq. Alsammarae got busted out of jail and fled to the US and became a backer of Sen. Obama.

Fascinating the people who Sen. Obama gains in his circle of relationships. Ayers, Pfleger, Wright, Davis… I’m not surprised to see the official ties between Ayers and Obama go back to ‘87 since it should take years to gain the trust of a terrorist and build ties to the Democratic Machine. Eight years is enough time to do that, get the necessary commercial ties to dodgy figures, work a bit with those folks on projects… because you don’t get to Ayer’s place by good luck, chance or happenstance.

They don’t have to believe, it’s their choice but if Obama doesn’t believe then he is either not a real Christian or he’s a LIER about his faith. This whole thing just seems like a really desperate smear. It’s not like there has ever been any hard (or soft) evidence linking Obama with Ayers’ terrorist activities. Yes, Obama lives in the same neighborhood as Ayers. So do a lot of other people.

How about instead of speculating, we stick to actual relevant issues. Would that be too much to ask? This is one of the problems I’m having with PJMedia these days. I remember a time when it was a good source of conservative opinion. Now it seems to be parroting the latest McCain-issued smear.

Are you aware that while Obama was completing his degree at Columbia in 1982-83, Bill Ayers was attending Bank Street College from which he graduated with a Masters in Early Childhood Education in 1984?

Bank Street College is less than a quarter of a mile from Columbia, and they collaborate on courses.

We know, from his own writings, that Obama “was drawn to foreign students, Marxist professors, and punk poets”. One such professor was Edward Said, who was also an associate of Bill Ayers.

It is inconceivable, given their concentric politics, and Ayers’ penchant for recruiting black radicals, that they did not meet in the two years they were studying within a quarter mile of each other. Bill Ayers was no doubt something of a celebrity in the radical community having been a terrorist that had beaten the rap.

Though McCain did nothing technically improper, he was embarrassed and chastened enough to regard it as his “biggest mistake” and the scandal was a seminal event in McCain’s dedication to reform, particularly in campaign financing. McCain and his wife have discussed the Keating scandal extensively in their books.

Compare that to how Obama has dissembled about his relationship with Ayers. Obama has not repudiated that relationship and in fact, his actions with the Chicago Annenberg Challenge and the Woods Institute funneling money to Ayers and other radicals shows that he shares their radical agendas.

WASHINGTON—From his five years in a North Vietnamese prison camp to his tenure as the Navy’s liaison to the Senate, John McCain’s Navy record boils down to a series of unadorned paragraphs that bestow upon him some of the nation’s top military honors.

The Navy recently released McCain’s military record — most of it citations for medals during his Navy career — after a Freedom of Information Act request by The Associated Press.

McCain was awarded a Silver Star Medal for resisting “extreme mental and physical cruelties” inflicted upon him by his captors from late October to early December 1967, the early months of his captivity, according to the citation. The North Vietnamese, according to the Navy, ignored international agreements and tortured McCain “in an attempt to obtain military information and false confessions for propaganda purposes.”

McCain, now the Republican Party’s likely presidential nominee, was taken prisoner in October 1967 after he was shot down while on a mission over Hanoi. He wasn’t freed until March 1973, after the United States signed peace agreements with the North Vietnamese. His captors tortured him and held him in solitary confinement. Still, he declined an offer of early release until those who had been at the prison longer than him were let go.

That decision earned McCain a Navy Commendation Medal. Although McCain was “crippled from serious and ill-treated injuries,” he steadfastly refused offers of freedom from those holding him prisoner. “His selfless action served as an example to others and his forthright refusal, by giving emphasis to the insidious nature of such releases, may have prevented a possibly chaotic deterioration in prisoner discipline,” the citation says.

McCain attended the U.S. Naval Academy from 1954 to 1958, and was commissioned as an ensign in June of that year. He retired in April 1981 with the rank of captain. In that time he received 17 awards and decorations. Besides the Silver Star Medal, McCain also received the Legion of Merit with a combat “V” and one gold star, a Distinguished Flying Cross and a Bronze Star Medal with a combat “V” and two gold stars.

Several citations mention his achievements either as a prisoner or as a lieutenant commander flying bombing runs off the deck of the USS Oriskany. Some are signed by then-Secretary of the Navy John Warner, who would become a colleague of McCain’s in the Senate.

The citations refer to his “accurate ordnance delivery” and his “aggressive and skillful airmanship.” He earned his Bronze Star the day before he was shot down, for participating in a mission over an airfield in Phuc Yen, 11 miles north of Hanoi.

The citation for his Distinguished Flying Cross sums up McCain’s misfortune the following day:

“Although his aircraft was severely damaged, he continued his bomb delivery pass and released his bombs on the target. When the aircraft would not recover from the dive, Commander McCain was forced to eject over the target.”

Years later, as his Navy career approached its end, McCain received the Legion of Merit Medal. By then, his missions were in the halls of Congress as a liaison to the Senate from the Navy’s Office of Legislative Affairs.

He was praised for providing Navy leaders “with sage advice and sound judgment for enacting critical legislation during a period of severe fiscal constraint.”

The following year, he ran for Congress from Arizona, and won.

You started your thread opining that even QUESTIONING these past relationships, the little we know of them, is a borderline smear.
Bottom line: I think looking at who one associates with, particularly their ideas and how they may predict how they’ll govern in the future, especially when a history of the person is incomplete, is relevant. (and the same goes for McCain) Too many questions and not enough answers.

(One thing I do know is he is kicking McCain’s butt on getting his message out – I hear a TV commercial every hour, a radio spot every 30 min, and get a flyer in the mail every other day here in FL. He must be printing money)

Hey Chet, you need to do some research. Simply reading wikipedia’s article on the weathermen would be sufficient.

In an Obama Action Wire, Obama asked his followers to spam with calls a radio show where Kurtz was being interviewed. When a TV ad about his relationship with Ayers ran, Obama asked the Department of Justice to investigate the organization who made the ad and the TV stations which aired it. This is an unprecedented attempt by a candidate to squelch free speech. The org responded with detailed report substantiating the info in the ad. Obama has never refuted the charges but has just tried to intimidate anyone who made them.

In contrast, McCain has never hid his involvement with the Keating Five, instead made a public apology.

But, if you don’t find anything conclusive, give Obama the benefit of the doubt, listen to what he says, and see if it seems reasonable. On this, or another thread, is a link to the story of one young woman who dated “Billy” for awhile. His wife, Dohrn, is equally sick. On the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted List, she was thrilled to hear the Manson murderers sat down and ate a meal next to their victims’ bodies, sticking a fork in the belly of the pregnant Sharon Tate. She’d give a three-fingered salute to represent the fork and suggested it should represent their ‘revolution.’

Ayers’ father, Tom, has incredible wealth. A radio guest of Dennis Miller said he was known as the “godfather of Chicago politics.” It’s no wonder the two have managed to avoid penalty and to reenter (Chicago) society. Dohrn probably got her job at the Sidley lawfirm through his contacts — I’ve read it was Tom Ayers who got Obama his job there as a summer law clerk. Michelle was also at Sidley at that time – that was where the two met. All three were at the lawfirm at the same time.

I’ve read Ayers had babysat the Obama children. There’s a photo taken of both Obamas at a dinner sitting beside Edward Said. I’ve wondered if Ayers watched their children that night, encouraging this opportunity for Obama to strenthen his radical/terrorist ties.

Obama has had radicals instruct him all his life. And Ayers is one. I’m sure he played a major role in his early Chicago years — introducing him to the ‘right’ people — aiding his rise in politics by giving him Chairmanship of CAC. Together they doled out money to radical groups rather than to the schools the money was intended for. No wonder education didn’t improve after all those millions were diverted.

The highschool years that Obama spent with CPUSA member, Frank Davis, were years of tutelege as well. Having left Chicago for Hawaii, surely he told Obama the story of the famously radical Ayers and Dohrn. And that Chicago would be a good place for a young radical to begin professional life.

He’d find there a community teeming with like-minded activists. People who wanted to change America. Succeeding because they’d learned their lessons: anger less obvious, deviously working the system rather than against it. But dismantling our society nonetheless: bit by bit to reflect their values, not those shared by most Americans.

Obama has lied about his relationship with these two. And for good reason.

As a veteran of the Marxist movement many years ago, I recognize the type. They are a dime a dozen.

Those like me had a sojourn on the Left and have come out on the other side convinced that Karl Marx and all of the later theoreticians of that intellectual tradition going back to Rousseau was in error.

Obama, being a disciple of Saul Alinsky, chose to place himself squarely within that tradition. Hardly anyone notices this, which is in plain sight. Alinksy was a Communist intellectual who wrote a program for subverting capitalism and the United States’ Constitution from within our society.

Ayers and Dohrn are avowed Communists who have never rescinded that loyalty, and Obama made an alliance with these people, to further his own career and to further the socialist revolution. Those who agree with this have endless ways of affirming it and endless disguises through which they use coded language to identify themselves to fellow travelers.

Obama ran for the Illinois Senate. Those are all facts and are well documented. They cannot be denied. Obama has said he didn’t know of Ayer’s background – this is subject to some degree of skepticism – but he has said it.

I find this deplorable. When I was a principal, I chose not to learn about the history of my staff other than how their role at the time worked to benefit out students. I found out things later on that had I been their a few years earlier, I would have fired a couple of them. But they were good teachers, the community had forgiven them, and students were learning.
Is there no room for forgiveness and allowing people to grow as they progress through life? Ask yourself how you would want to be treated? Should we hold you accountable for all of your bad decisions? I bet some of you would have been fired for some things you have said or done if the truth be known.
I find this most disheartening when I see Palin demeaning Obama because of who she claims to be – A Christian who believes in treating others as Christ taught us to treat them(or at least that is what she says she believes). Charges against Ayers and Dohrn were dropped because of the Nixon administration’s illegal activities.
I didn’t know that the past of anyone we’ve ever associated with is suddenly our own to explain.
A good friend of my family used to get drunk and threaten people with weapons. He was truly out of control. Then he sobered up and now delivers groceries in secret (he buys them himself) to families in need. But…..he still tells tales of the old days. Am I condemned because of my long association with him or am I ok because his violent activities were a-political? Is he proud of who he was then or can he not help bragging just a little about his trial through fire?
I feel I’m better for having known him as I understand people like him better. I sure as hell don’t agree with him, but he is a kind and generous person.
I have another friend who manifested schizophrenia at 19 and started writing letters to Charles Manson. He’s totally crazy, but not dangerous and a really interesting character to know. Am I anti-American now?
I see the republican party forming a popular image of what an American is supposed to act like, look like, think like and whom to associate with. There is no room for deviation or differentiation only assimilation. And that is waaay scarier than the occasional wacko.
