CBS Tries to Discredit Homegrown Jihad Documentary

As a network of radical Muslim compounds is exposed in the U.S., CBS News attempts to lull us back to sleep.

On Wednesday, February 11, 2009, the Christian Action Network premiered Homegrown Jihad: Terrorist Camps Around the U.S. at Washington, D.C.’s Landmark Theater. The crowd of 160-175 people left the theater with their jaws dropped, only moving their mouths to thank the members of CAN for their hard work. The robust Q&A session brought only positive remarks and constructive questions about the networks of an organization known as Jamaat ul-Fuqra, a group led by a Pakistan-based cleric named Sheikh Mubarak Gilani with at least 35 radical Islamic compounds here in the United States under the name “Muslims of America.”

A key feature of the documentary, which is available at ChristianAction.org, is the “Soldiers of Allah” videotape, on which Gilani is seen instructing his followers on how to hijack cars, set off explosives, murder guards, and use various other terrorism tactics as part of what he admits is “one of the most advanced courses in Islamic military warfare.” This is followed by an open invitation for interested Muslims to contact any of his Muslims of America compounds in the United States to receive such training. He even warns the viewers of the tape to not allow it to fall into non-Muslim hands and not to make illegal copies.

The compounds are in isolated areas all over the country from Washington down to California, to Tennessee and Michigan, and New York all the way down to Georgia. While the Christian Action Network manages to identify some of these camps and is even seen visiting some of them in the film, Sheikh Gilani has mentioned having sites in many states that have not been located by CAN.

These are not simply isolationist Muslims seeking to get away from the sinful ways of American society. The camps have websites that are devoted to Sheikh Gilani, hailing him as a miracle-worker that is a descendant of the Prophet Mohammed. One site in Red House, Virginia, even has a street named “Sheikh Gilani Lane.” Gilani, while espousing to be a man opposed to terrorism and extremism, has made such statements as “Jews are examples of human Satans” and “We are fighting to destroy the enemy. We are dealing with evil at its roots and its roots are in America.”

This is a link of a film about “non violent” Islam spread; worth watching. It is in English with subtitles in French in the beginning of it. I don’t think this is the same film discussed here in the article. http://blip.tv/play/AdmXMI6nSg

In a perverse way it is good that CBS is trying to sweep it under the table. This opens the door for the debate that is very needed…and the more debate the more the Muzzies have to hide as they just cannot sustain their current goals and aims for America in the sunshine.

Sloreo (Black on the outside, sleaze inside)Holder claims we are cowards not to discuss race issues. By extension our PC and innate politeness have shielded the Muzzies and the race pimps….so lets have lots of debate. The losers will be those that have been using our system to destroy us, from tax cheat Rangel to Rev Al to various Muzzie Imams.

I only pray that after 4 years of the foreign policy disaster the Obama administration will surely be, especially in matters regarding the Middle East in general and Israel’s security in particular, that American Jews will end their slavish blind allegiance to Democrats and their leftist vision.

American pandering and seeking “balance” in the Clinton years is what emboldened Islamists to attack us on 9/11. With Obama we are repeating history and we are doomed to suffer the consequences – again. Einstein defined an idiot as one who does the same thing over and over and expects different results. We are idiots – “useful idiots”.

Welcome back. It’s Sept. 10th again.

America must become the land where islam lost it’s way. We must destroy these U.S. based
camps and deport every islamic involved because their actions are terroristic and their anti Jew focus is unAmerican. Refusal to expose and report the threat is a disservice by law enforcement. Make no mistake, islam is just as anti Christian as they are anti-Jewish. (Moderate islam is an invention). Allah has no
room for moderation and this makes islam a real threat. Islam does not welcome infidels in the
islamic countries and we must not welcome those who would dominate or murder us!

Why do we need to be warned about this group? What are we supposed to do, build a castle in our towns into which we can retreat when they attack? Why isn’t this being dealt with proactively by the authorities?

A perfect example and juxtaposition of the two dangers we face – blood-thirsty Islamic terrorists freely functioning on US soil and elsewhere under the protection and acquiescence of the extremely stupid, dishonest, and incompetent PC-addled press and Obama administration.

“News Organizations” like CBS with an obvious slant label films like this one, ‘Fitna’ and ‘Obsession’ as nothing more then hate propaganda. I’ve seen the latter two but not the film in this article and I have to say that anyone who thinks those films do nothing but stir hate and prejudice are stunningly ignorant (aka Politically Correct) or have not taken the time to watch the films. What’s the problem with pointing to unacceptable, violent ideology? What’s the matter with bringing violent Islam into the light for people to see? The ostrich icon in this article is perfect. So many people just bury their heads and hope trouble will eventually pass.

Feb 25, 2009 - 7:49 am 8. Professor Guvinoff:

Trojan horse, anyone?

It is only natural for those who have been raised under the tenets of islam to harbor a sense of divinely sanctionned superiority. If that’s what your were told as a child and all the other children around were told the same thing, how could you possibly have rejected it?

The superiority of Islam being purely and simply axiomatic! It is not based on some comparative measure, like which civilization has more individual freedom, equal education opportunity for boys and girls, or better respect for women? The question does not even exist as far as the true believers are concerned! They are superior because Allah said so.

At the same time, we welcome muslim immigrants without really asking ourselves why would they come here while their inner voice continues to tell them how superior their value system is? There must be something about America which is attractive to them, in spite of an inner sense of original superiority, which must eventually be dealt with, one way or another.

This kind of paradox would burn a hole in the mind of someone who was raised with positive aspirations regarding logic and critical thinking. Why would we continue to shield the muslims among us against feeling the heat? We can help them by demanding allegiance to their country of election.

What in the world would be wrong with prosecuting them with our laws when they commit crimes which are permitted under the divine laws their country of origin? As long as we fall for some fuzzy need to accomodate them, we stupidly exonerate them of their burning inner paradox by assumung it for them! This not politeness, this is cowardice. It is not helping them, and it is not helping us either.

And if CBS was made aware of a network of paramilitary training camps run by fundamentalist Christians, I somehow doubt they’d be dismissed as ‘wannabes’.

Fits the template, though.

Vicious ridicule and musings on the assassination of George Bush = free speech
One New York Post cartoon possibly construed as offensive to Obama = racism

Bombin’ Billy Ayers = respected academic
Unabomber = behind bars

Effigy of Obama during the campaign = federal investigation
Effigy of Palin in Halloween parade = festured in L.A. Times ’style’ section

There really are two Americas, one for the politically-fashionable and the other for the rest of us.

WE should not be surprised. After all, this is the see bs who gave us the forged documents of John Kerry, Dan Blather, Mary Mapes and Travis county, Texas “prosecutor” Ronnie the commie Earle. The same see bs who continues to bring us the complete frauds like Katie (scourge) Couric and Bob(shifty) Schiefer. The same see BS that longtime employee Bernard Goldberg described in his book “bias”. Like all COMMUNISTS, see bs places IDEOLOGY above all else, even profits.

Everyone’s a “wannabe” before they become what they want to be.

Feb 25, 2009 - 1:08 pm 13. Tyler S:

Given the quality of journalism found at CBS, one could easily use their own words against them: Failure to actually see and analyze the film in its entrety, as well as the use of anonymous sources, make CBS a bunch of wannabe journalists.

Feb 25, 2009 - 1:46 pm 14. Tim H.:

“which officials describe as ‘wannabees’ and not terrorists”

Okay. Let’s, for the sake of argument, say that these knuckleheads are only “wannabees”. And your point is….?

Let me elaborate: I’m a police officer and I have a lot of experience dealing with gangs (Crips, Bloods, etc.) I bring this up because the gang “wannabees” my fellow officers and I deal with commit the SAME EXACT CRIMES as full fledged bangers. Robberies? Check. Drug sales. You bet! Murders? Hell yeah.

What does a gang-banger have to do with a jihadist?

My point is, even though these idiots aren’t “big league” gang members, this doesn’t make them any less dangerous. Simply put, a “wannabe” Crip can kill a liquor store owner just as quick as a “the real thing”. In fact, a “wannabe” earns his stripes or “rep” by COMMITTING these crimes. It’s called “doing work” and it is how these thugs become “real” bangers and how they support the gang.

So, a logical person (i.e., not a CBS reporter) could REASON (again, CBS staffers need not apply) that “wannabe” (re: POTENTIAL) terrorists would become big ole GROWNUP terrorist by actually committing TERRORISM!!!

Can Katie and her ilk get any more pathetic? Idiots.

This information has been out for a while now. I would just like to give a big THANK YOU to the State Department, and Chertoff for trying to get as many moon god worshipers into this country as fast as they can.

Keep up the great job, you bunch of pink panty wearing fools. Give yourself a bonus on the tax payer dime while you are at it.

The rest of you good honest Americans keep your boots polished, and gear in the mud room to be put on with short notice. I should not have to remind all of you hard chargers to get a hair cut, and BZO your weapon.

CBS hates America.
If it looks like a terrorist, acts like a terrorist, shoots video training tapes like a terrorist, it’s a terrorist. Bill Clinton tried to take down every radical Christian group he could find even if he had to make up the charges. He could never find the time to create a charge for bin-Laden though even though everybody knew bin-Laden was a terror sponsor. Clinton is hater of the good.
CBS hates the good. Bad? CBS can do bad hence terrorists are not a problem for CBS. CBS actually hates anything that might be good or even possibly good. Bad? CBS can support bad all day and all night.
This is a Christian Nation and it will be for all time or it will cease to be a nation at all. That’s just the way it is. We’ll defend it to the end because we think it’s good. That’s why CBS hates it.
Simple isn’t it? It just comes down to what you love and what loves you back.

Feb 25, 2009 - 4:48 pm 18. ex-Democrat:

CBS hates Christians. That’s what its slime piece is about. They surely move quickly when a Christian organization puts out information….but vetting Obama? Nada.

I loathe the MSM.

Actually, the unabomber was a lefty, anti-capitalist, pro-environment luddite hippy who thus received positive media coverage.

I think they should change the military uniform to a white and black robe; That way the muslams would be confused; All’s fair in love and war. And after all, they were the ones that declared this war. We should fight it their way for a while. They’d probably sue in International Court. Ha, ha, ha.

Feb 25, 2009 - 6:17 pm 21. d.fairview:

CBS,NBC.ABC,CNN,NY Times,MSNBC all tools of the radical left wing America hating mainstream media liars.

They hate America and pander to the Muslim Terrorists. Naive clown Obama is what they want. When we get attacked again, they will relish in the dead Americans ,crying families and detruction. They say ” when it bleeds it leads”. Just another America hating story for them. No loyalty to the country only a story trashing America.

Muslims strut around like they own this country, not afraid of anything or anyone. While we worry about getting kidnapped and our heads cut off in the middle East.

We better start to fight on their level or we are done as a country. get our heads out of the sand. The south will rise to protect the USA, while the Northeast and West libs will turn on us. God help us fight this cancer.

Peter writes: It wouldn’t work, Cyber. The terrorists blow up everyone indescrimanantly anyway. They don’t care if someone is a fighter or innocent civilian.

All the change would accomplish is US forces being accussed of more war crimes for not wearing uniforms while fighting.

(No one seems to care what the insurgents wear.)

A few minutes of background checking on google shows that the video is a hoax and that the so-called Christian Action Network is a nutjob hate group. Check your sources, America! Don’t be a nation of gullible dummies!

Jerry #24: So tell us what YOU believe to be untrue and WHY you think they are a hate group. I hate people who behead innocent people in the name of Allah. Does that make me a “hate” person…or just a normal, sensible, compassionate person with at least half a brain?

A quick search showed an American born Christopher Paul joined Al-Qaida to bomb stuff, and be a good Jehad terrorist. He was given 20 years, not the firing squad I called for. His picture gives him away as a moon god worshiper.

#24 Jerry Stanton did a quick search on the Internet and found Islam to be a religion of peace.

Just to stir the pot, since it’s been sitting for a few days…

Firstly, this country was founded by several groups seeking religious freedom… for their religion, not yours. It wasn’t until many years after the country split from Great Britian and got it’s act together that the Federal goverment intervened and told everyone to place nice and that religion and politics shouldn’t be mixed together. Kind of like bleach and toilet bowl cleaner. Islamic countries don’t seem to share that point of view.

Secondly, the previously mentioned Federal government doesn’t have a great track record when it comes to dealing with things. Native Americans have never been treated fairly by them. Foreign policies change like the wind. Even the Supreme Court reverses direction from time to time. Is it any wonder we seem incapable of dealing with a national threat until after it blows up in our collective faces?

Lastly, “the bad guys” (That would be the “small minority” of Muslims that think that killing everyone that disagrees with them is a good thing.) don’t play by “the rules of war” even though they openly state that they are waging war against their enemies. (Yes, I know that ‘jihad’ does not translate as ‘war’.) But as I learned in my early adult life, if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck and waddles like a duck, chances are it’s a duck. Based on that, there’s no meaningful difference between jihad and war, other than the religious implications of the former.

So my question is how long are we going to ignore the fact that a groups of individuals who have openly declared war against us and our way of life are being welcomed with open arms into our society? Another question is what should we do about it?

For the record, I’m retired military and my politics are more libertarian than anything else.
