Dems’ Split over Obama Not About Race and Sour Grapes

More relevant are the baroque delegate rules and strong-arm tactics that helped him to victory.

A recent Associated Press story glibly proclaimed that “deep-seated racial misgivings could cost Barack Obama the White House.” The story relied on an AP-Yahoo poll that posed questions regarding race to white Democrats.

One is left to wonder why questions regarding race were not posed to black Democrats or why the “poll” was more of a word association test, left open to completely subjective reasoning in deciphering results. But anyone who has been following the Democratic Party rifts from this season’s primaries and caucuses would not, in my opinion, be inclined to buy the it’s-all-about-race argument.

It’s quite troubling, really, that mainstream media outlets are focusing upon “racial misgivings” factors, while all but ignoring the major divides among voting constituencies that occurred during the nominating contest between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. These rifts revolved much more around exactly how Barack Obama received the Democratic nomination than any sort of racial divide or even sour grapes.

In fact, there are dozens of voter groups which claim outright that Barack Obama’s nomination was garnered illegitimately and with decidedly undemocratic methods. These are the PUMA people, the NoBama folks, the caucus-fraud investigators, and a whole lot of others who fervently believe that Barack Obama is not the legitimate nominee of the Democratic Party electorate, but the nominee of the party elite and caucus strong-arm tactics.

If Barack Obama loses a large swath of traditionally Democratic voters in November, then the party should conduct serious introspection, not point fingers at white bigots and rednecks.

Howard Dean and his minions who control the Democratic Party apparatus should examine the methods used by Obama to grab the nomination and his manipulation of the caucus system, and take a long, serious look inward to see if their party still deserves the adjective “democratic.”

In the Democratic nominating contest, some votes count more than others

When the Democratic Party changed all of its nominating rules following the convention of 1968, the goal of nominating a candidate who could win the general election was changed to a goal of nominating a candidate representative of the various special constituencies of the party and rewarding party loyalty, not electability.

At the beginning of the contest, the African-American vote was split in Clinton’s favor, especially on the gender line.

Could it be that ‘they’, the media, believe he is going to lose? Or even hoping he will lose?

A race war with downtown Chicago burning- or Detroit, could sell a lot of newspapers and keep reporters dodging bullets in America instead of having to send them all the way to Iraq or Afghanistan.

Before casting that vote on Sunday at 9pm est Hannity will have a show on the missing years and obama’s friends. How did obama afford his education apparently Dr.Kahlid Abdullah Al-Manssour a friend of high ranking arabs, the one that gave Rudy the check after 9/22 and Rudy decline it. anyway he is a palistinian and is anti-semetic and got the money for the bright muslim student. this needs to be investigated. If I were Jewish I wouldn’t vote for Obama, too risky and a bad bunch of friends.

Peoople need to i nvestigate a candidate before voting, we have only heard his birth certificate is a forgery..why is that? His associations are either muslims like Rezko or criminals. Why should we have a president we know so little about? a very strange background, it’s not safe. america is too precious to hand over to the first good speaker, what a stupid reason to vote for him. Obama has one intersting mentor (he is dead) he read his book “rules for radicals”, Alinsky is considered an Obama mentor. ACORN a thuggery group forging votes. and the list goes on.

The author writes, “If Barack Obama indeed loses this election, in what is unquestionably a perfect-storm year for Democrats, then the party ought to quit looking solely outside themselves for the blame and start engaging in some soul-searching introspection.2

PARDON my skepticism, BUT…does ANYONE really expect DEMOCRATS to be “engaging in some soul-searching introspection” anytime soon?!

This is the “I look to government for all my needs/solutions to my problems” Party.
This is the “I’m not to blame for the consequences of my decisions” Party.

MOST REALISTICALLY CONSIDERED, in the event of a Zerobama loss, they’ll go back to the tried and true socialism of Hillary.

That would be neither change for the better nor introspection…but most likely.

Whites who hesitate to vote for Barack Obama may very well be doing so for reasons of self preservation rather than racism. They are aware that the elitist white establishment
will readily cooperate with radical blacks to make their lives miserable. Haven’t they already been stabbed in the back with all these disgusting and morally bankrupt affirmative action programs? Shouldn’t we take it for granted that things will be much worse if Barack Obama makes it to White House? Alas, isn’t this especially true if you are a white man?

According to a recent Fox News poll 28% (up from 21% in June)of Hillary supporters are voting for McCain. That is 350,000 votes in each state of Ohio, Pa., and Michigan. To put it in perspective, in 2004 Bush won by 135,000 votes in Ohio and lost by 130,000 in Pa.,and by 165,000 in Michigan. The democratic party is split. McCain in a landslide.

There is a frightening aspect of intimidation, repression, suppression of facts, and deconstruction of evidence that surrounds the campaign …and, indeed the life…of the Democratic nominee for President of the United States.

The standard “hard bounceback” response to almost any inquiry into the vetting process of the almost completely unknown history of the Senator from Illinois…is a mixture of empty platitudes, non-answer denials, accusations of racism, threats of retaliation and revenge and secreting of documentation.

The Democratic Party Media (DPM) operatives have engaged in a nearly universal conspiracy of silence…which is only broken to ridicule, lampoon and deride those with the hubris to merely make an inquiry into the murky associations and thuggery tactics of those associated with the Obama campaign. Anyone asking any questions about the Democratic candidate, are met with hurled epithets, slander, false accusations, false attributions, and suggestions that they are paranoid, Rovian Robots, or racist pigs.

But, they never answer the questions. The campaign has taken on a bizarre Nixonian flavor with enemy lists and carefully orchestrated “action orders” to take down anyone who disagrees.

This stinks of Soros and the vile little gremlins of the brown-shirted lefist variety at Move.on….who emulate their sugar daddy’s utter disregard for ethics and morality…while iron fisting socialism down the throat of and unwilling public body.

The conspiracy of silence extends to a new brand of leftism in our own land, much more aggressive and oppressive in tactics and now containing an “in your face” quality…in which truth, facts and news are subjective Machiavellian whims to be trifled with and bent, if necessary, to meet the “message”.

Fact finding is now a “distraction” from the “real” issues. Digging for the truth is met with an immediate “call to action” whereby all inquiries are shouted down by the Ayers Youth.

Public and university libraries conspire to shroud documents in layers of phony legal obstructions, while they stall, hinder and delay requests for freedom of review.

There is a brewing dark cloud rumbling and the conspiracy of silence calls down the thunder.

It is impossible to know at this moment in time, what is real, what is imagined, what is overblown and what is not…about the associations, beliefs, actions and intentions of the Democratic nominee. But a chill wind precedes the whole of it. Nancy Pelosi has proven to be an unstable hand at the helm of the Democratic ship, which anticipated smooth sailing to dominance over our body politic in all but the Supreme Court. And, the days ahead will certainly put total authoritarian dominance of even that body in play.

I’m always uncomfortable when one of the two parties has total dominance over all three branches of government. I’m especially concerned today. The “fairness doctrine” threat by Pelosi and her minions and lackeys…intending to bring back the halcyon days for liberals when they owned the “truth” in media lock, stock and barrel…and could infuse leftist propaganda without dissent virtually unfettered into the information stream. John Kerry in his inimitable dense manner, in essence blurted out to Charlie Gibson…”hey, you are supposed to be on OUR side”…removing the veil of pretense…that has all but been stripped bare in this election.

But, the weasels ripping flesh modus operandi of Soros and his thugs was most glaring and jarring…when turned against Joe Lieberman and Hillary Clinton. It became increasingly apparent and even more frightening to watch the spectacle…when used against a former Democratic nominee for vice-president, and a former Democratic first lady and candidate for first female Democrat running for the top of their ticket. Moral bankruptcy with an automatic stay provision on ethics ruled the day.

If we are to self-govern this land of ours, through representative government…we cannot do this with fauxtography, forged documents, photoshopped caricatures, libraries hiding evidence, …essentially a gang raped information stream. We can’t…it’s not open to serious or rational debate. The conspiracy of silence must be broken. Our ability to get facts upon which we make decisions about how we govern this land of ours…is a public trust.

Public institutions and certainly universities and public libraries are not free to disseminate information and evidence upon a political whim. That’s a violation of a public trust adherence to which should be sacrosanct.

Moreover, the dominant public information gathering places, television news, major metropolitan newspapers, radio, wire services, magazines, Hollywood, …which shape our views based upon the reliability of facts being separated from opinion…and more importantly, facts being separated from intentionally misleading screeds of a particular political persuasion…is a quasi public trust.

These trusts have been violated. In a manner and with a depth that is dangerous and at times, treasonous to our own country.

I have no idea about the eventual answers related to Sen. Obama’s lingering murky and shadowy past. I have no idea where he was born, or if that is a legitimate issue of discussion. It may not be.

I have no idea what influence Frank Marshall Davis had upon him, his radical professors at college, his attachment to Ayers, Dorhn, Klonsky, Wright, Pfleger, Sam Graham-Felsen, Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam, Cynthia Miller, Jennifer Mason, Soros, Odinga, Massoud, Rezco, Rashid Khalidi, Ali Abunimah, Robert Malley, …all I do know is…there are enough smoldering embers of extremist radicalism touching his campfire …that no journalist of modest integrity could ignore with the resolve and steadfast silence that the DPM has shown en masse.

The DPM has shown a face of passive acquiescence toward the thuggery of shouting down principled dissent, but as character shallow as that is, it is there conspiracy of silence and refusal to engage in even asking the questions that has blackened their names for eternal condemnation. They won’t even ask the questions. They won’t work for the truth…they are so owned by the “message”.

Rev. Wright asked God to damn America. By way of conspiracy of silence by our 4th Estate and complicity in corrupting the process by which we govern, he may have gotten his wish.

cfbleachers has it right — we are in dangerous times. Liberal voters do not want to have any information sent to them that disabuses them in any way about The Messiah. They ask politely, if they know you well, to stop sending them “biased” political e-mails.

The possibility of reasoned debate on facts cannot occur in such a hostile environment and where obvious lies are not corrected by the media as they report the news.

If Bush and McCain have any faults, it is in not correcting immediately and repeatedly lies that are said about them and their records — along with going along with Leftist proposals to seem bi-partisan. The latter is how we have been nudged into socialism against our better judgment.

Obama is not a Natural born American citizen.
He was born in Kenya and brought to the USA as a day old infant, then registered in Hawaii. That is what his siblings say and will be upheld by his birth certificate, which is a registration certificate, not a birth certificate.
That is why bama has been careful to not let it go public. Well, it looks like he may not have a choice anymore.

Read the motion and laugh. The gatekeepers of the MSM have decided that the theft of 700 Billion dollars is more important then the theft of the Oval Office. So this suit won’t get any air time while the Chigao machine tries to halt the court case. We will see.
With any luck, this will be the end of the MSM. After all, once the thieves get done splitting up this 700Billion, they will come back for more. And Obama being ineligible to run for President will nullify any election results. It will get nasty if by some miracle of rigged Diebold machines, dead voters and boxes of uncounted absentee ballots, OBAMA steals a win and the Chief Justice refuses to administer the oath.

Interesting note on the division of the Democrats between their two leading wings of Stalinists (funded by public education) and Trotskyites, (trying to get funding from environmental “alarms” from catholicfundamentalism.com

“Friday, September 26, 2008

On the left, Trotskyites are winning, Stalinists losing.

The recent reductions in the value of real estate were caused by Congressional Trotskyites. They cleverly forced banks to give mortgages to people who had no realistic way of paying for them. When they couldn’t pay, they went into foreclosure. The plummeting property values hurt the entire economy. Now, we’re all stuck, but no one more than the Stalinists in their shaken empire of Public Education. The drop in appraised values of homes reduces the taxes those properties pay that support the millions of Stalinists in their comfortable, but weakened, system. Trotskyites knew that would happen.

The Stalinists were first blind-sided, then sand-bagged. They gave in to the “fairness for all” message the Trotskyites trumpeted from the housetops. Public educationists, all with above-average incomes, tenure, huge benefit packages, short hours, and lush pensions were too comfortable to fight to protect their own source of funding.

The second prong of the Trotskyite attack was launched by their fast-moving environmental wing. Moving with the speed of Mongol cavalry, their new rules and regulations “to protect the planet” have made it so difficult to build new houses that the usual, automatic increase in property taxes provided by new building disappeared. Trotskyites knew that would happen, too.

Stalinists appear to be on the ropes, paralyzed by their own success. So far, their responses have been weak. Sure, there’s been a little bit of Stalinist recognition of the fact that global warming is caused by solar cycles, and there has been an attempted bailout of the system that will cost American taxpayers another trillion dollars, but the Stalinists seem almost crippled in their ability to respond effectively. Their best defense, the truth, is something that no one living in a pyramid of lies likes to use.

Both of the Clintons, and others on the Stalinist side, are quietly pushing for McCain’s election. In the next weeks, we will see growing support for McCain from the old-line Stalinists.”

The big division among leading Democrats is between the bourgoise, comfortable Stalinists with their tenure and pensions and the hungrier Enviro-Trotskyites.

I’ve run into PUMAs on blogs but this story really drives home exactly what created them. It’s becoming undeniable that the Democrats are obsessed with race, are in fact way more racist (and sexist) than Republicans, and that black Democrats are the most overtly racist group in the country.

Bill, righty talk radio uses the left’s own words to destroy them. That is the way to do it - with audio and facts that are undeniable. You may or may not agree with the opinions but the facts are laid out with context for everyone to hear.

Incidentally, the most fascinating callers to conservative talk radio are conservative blacks - and there are some. Talk about brave souls.

Attacking the person is a logical fallacy called the ad hominem attack. Most leftists seem never to have studied logic.

Obama has moved into a structure created years and years ago. A policewoman in my town had to call in the FBI after an online threat on my liife emanated from a group of these jackals. This was in 1999 and even then I noticed that there were blacklists and I was on one.

The name-calling is vile. Physical threats are actionable. Just making sure the police know who these people are can be helpful.

I’ve seen some of the vile email that Ann Coulter and Michelle Malkin get. I know Joseph Farah and others have to hire bodyguards. This is an issue that needs sunlight and it needs it now. After the election may well be too late.

How about “deep seated character misgivings” as a function of Barry being a player in the Chicago machine and his associations ? Or how about his flagrant mis-statements (dare we say lies?) which “the base” adopts and the MSM gives a pass ?

Even Barry was frustrated with the whole community organizer deal, which is why he left Chicago and went to Harvard Law. Bigger fish to fry.

The fact that he is mulatto and has chosen to emphasize the side of his genetic heritage that is most dominant in his physical appearance …is irrelevant.

So if he has to move into the big house, will he? or will he rent it out and continue to commute to his house? i want to know where are Obamas credentials. for this moment I’m from Missouri. Forget the Democrats we have our own problems.

Does McCain really want to be POTUS? Judging from his campaign strategy the answer is no. McCain is so intent on preserving his kumbaya legacy that he has all but conceded the race.

The American people are angry. We are looking for partisanship. We want names named and people held accountable. Who caused the financial crisis, who ignored the war against America, who is Barack Obama?

The answer to these questions would put McCain over the top. Unfortunately the Republican candidate will not ask them.

Oct 4, 2008 - 8:17 am 33. bmc:

David Axelrod cut his political teeth with Duval Patrick in MA and used the same formulaic strategy to push Barack’s candidacy. They telegraphed it via Michelle Obama’s comments to Mika Brzezinski on MSNBC. The words “Black America will wake up and get it,” were significant; the Obama campaign already knew they were going to play the race card in South Carolina. It worked; combined with the stupid mistakes by the Clinton campaign not to contest the caucus states, Axelrod’s smart gaming of the primaries pushed Obama along until February, 2008 when Clinton began a comeback. But, the DNC aided and abetted Axelrod and Obama through arbitrary enforcement of primary date rules, punishing some but not all of the violations, so that Florida and Michigan’s delegates weren’t counted for Clinton. And, the rules and by-laws committee ruling in May, 2008 was a brazen violation of sunshine rules; the RBC chose to secretly set up a formula whereby Obama got Clinton’s pledged delegates, despite the fact that Obama wasn’t even on the ballot in Michigan. Any defense of such a blatant act of fraud would have Orwell twisting in his grave. So, the bottom line is: Howard Dean and the DNC cheated; Barack Obama and David Axelrod benefitted. And, Democrats like me? We’re voting against the Democratic electoral fraud–McCain/Palin gets my vote!

Would it be toooooo much for both sides to admit that none of the four people running for the highest offices in the land are the LEAST bit impressive or capable or up to speed for the job?

It is a seriously big job. We should be able to finally look at our leaders & Congress RIGHT NOW and see how very inadequate our leadership is for the challenges we face.

Now: That being patently obvious… Can we all take responsibility to closely watch what is going on, write & call our leaders to let them know what we think and that we ARE closely watching?

No matter which side “wins,” we LOSE. BOTH sides have horrible problems, corruption, blind spots, selfishness, stupid lies, stupid dogma, stupid allegiances, and a lack of true capability.

It is OUR fault for electing idiots, but maybe only an idiot would want the job!

Take off the Red and Blue T-shirts and get serious, one step, one issue, one vote at a time.

The Federal budget should be online for all to see, including who gets what $$ in earmarks and from whom. I believe Obama has promised to do that. Anybody who is elected should do it!

Both sides are so good at calling each other names & throwing insults, and fear-mongering about the other side. Time to GROW UP. This is not a 3rd grade playground, this is real life.

We cannot rely on our “leaders.” We have to get involved, monitor, give input, hold accountable.

“According to a recent Fox News poll 28% (up from 21% in June)of Hillary supporters are voting for McCain.”

How can this possibly be? There were IIRC 18 million votes for Hillary. That should be a shift of 4.5 million to McCain. And even with that the polls show Obama with a big lead?

Huh?

That would mean that Obama would have to be getting all the independent vote, plus lots of disaffected republicans, which is highly unlikely, or that the “polls” are highly biased. I suspect that just as we will hold our noses to vote for the top half of our ticket because of his stunning pick for VP, the Hillary voters will do the same for The One out of party loyalty.

“In an honest world, the match up should have been Huckabee or Romney or Giuliani versus Hillary.”

Of course it would, but have you ever wondered why the media has been so flattering for McCain in both 2000 and 2008, at least until he actually won the nomination? It’s obviously because if they know that if McCain wins the republican nomination, they get to have it both ways.

First, they see him as someone who can’t unite his own party, because he pokes the conservative base in the eye every time he can on many major issues. They think, rightly so, that they could easily split the party with media focus on those divisive issues and cause many conservatives to sit this one out. Only Palin rescued him from that fate.

And secondly, if he does happen to win the POTUS against all the negative media pressure they will now bring against him, they still get a RINO who is on their side on all those issues. Win-(half)win for the leftists and their sycophants in the media, and their agenda just moves forward a little more slowly, but just as relentlessly, with McCain as president.

That’s why Huckabee, another RINO who would bring only the evangelical vote and lose the rest, got so much great press. They knew he couldn’t win, but neither could McCain against Romney or Guiliani, without someone to split the conservative vote. The republican base would have rallied around either of them, but they were both savaged with the same types of personal smears and ideological nitpicking that they used against Palin. This forced Guiliani out early and allowed McCain to win with a small plurality.

Imagine a Guiliani/Palin or Romney/Palin ticket (assuming both would have to shore up the base with a definite conservative.) Either would have been unbeatable against someone who brings nothing but a career as an outstanding self-promoter and a shady background. And neither Guiliani nor Romney would need to re-grow a pair to fight back against these radicals.

We are so screwed.

Oct 4, 2008 - 9:14 am 38. geokstr:

I question the timing of this “financial crisis”.

Both Paulson and others, especially key democrats in congress like Dodd and Frank, and top management in both Fannie and Freddie, must have known that their takeover was inevitable a year ago. There were plenty of signs that were ignored by the media. Generally, it takes some kind of signal event, like an unfavorable audit, or a massive plunge in the stock, or a run on the banks, to cause something of this magnitude to come out. But I have googled unsuccessfully looking for the specific reason this hit precisely when it did.

If it happens 3 months ago, the shock would have already worn off and not been so beneficial to Obama, and if the takeover was not announced until 2 months from now, it would have had no influence on the election. Was it just coincidence that it happened 7 weeks before the election, and only a week after the surprise nomination of Palin had begun to turn the tide for McCain?

I don’t think so.

Was this perhaps the mother of all October surprises that they pulled out a month early because they panicked over the massive shift in the polls threatened to derail the coronation of The One?

Frank and Dodd and Raines and so many other democrat power players would be totally screwed if a republican administration were to take over, and held real hearings on this. Instead, Pelosi is reported to have already promised Dodd and Frank that there will be no investigations into their major roles in the cause and compounding of this mess over many years. If Obama wins, look for kangaroo trials of any republican even tangentially involved and any republican Master of the Universe on Wall Street (lots of whom are democrats).

If Obama had continued his early success before Palin, he might have cruised to a victory in November. It is possible then that the “crisis” would not have been announced until after the election, with potentially veto-proof majorities for the left in both houses. Then there would have been no way to stop the inevitable feeding frenzy of add-ons to this bill; i.e., billions for ACORN, the “Fairness Doctrine” to kill talk radio, the reinstatement of the ban on drilling, “obscene” profits taxes on the oil companies, ad infinitum, ad nauseum.

These are all likely in an Obama administration anyway, but at least they will not be spirited away in a 500 page bill that no one was allowed to debate or amend in a deliberate manner.

As support for this theory, see the fantastic article linked to above. It documents in detail the radical atmosphere Obama has been immersed in his entire life. It also directly links him to the 1995 regulatory revisions that opened the piggy banks at Fannie and Freddie, where Obama was the attorney for ACORN in a suit that led directly to those revisions.

You would think that, under intense pressure to name any accomplishments on a thin resume, Obama isn’t shouting his major role in this landmark case. Since it led directly to the mess we are in now, perhaps it’s not so difficult to understand.

“When the Democratic Party changed all of its nominating rules following the convention of 1968, the goal of nominating a candidate who could win the general election was changed to a goal of nominating a candidate representative of the various special constituencies of the party and rewarding party loyalty, not electability.”

That is true but after the McGovern/Carter debacles the rules were changed back in ’84 to include superdelegates. The superdelegates were instituted to help bring a measure of reality to the nominating process to get someone elected and prevent just the, “various special constituencies of the party and rewarding party loyalty” problems you describe. Looks like it didn’t work out that way but as far as I can see the intentions were arguably within reason. In any event it seems tough to claim foul since ultimately these superdelegates abandoned Hillary in favor of Obama.

“In fact, there are dozens of voter groups which claim outright that Barack Obama’s nomination was garnered illegitimately and with decidedly undemocratic methods.”

So what else is new. Did someone expect that the Democratic party would use democratic methods? The Democrats don’t think democracy is a worthwhile goal…not for Iraq, not for their party, and not for the country. Their stances and actions are quite consistent when viewed from this perspective.

They’ll pay democracy lip service but then subvert it at every turn. They’re the enemies of democracy especially when it gives the common man a voice. Ony the votes of the elites should matter.

Smell the coffee people.

Oct 4, 2008 - 10:31 am 45. David:

When Benjamin Franklin was dispatched to France as ambassador of the United States in 1776, he won the hearts of the French through his authenticity. Rather than take on an affected and phony continental style, Franklin eschewed the powdered wig of the European gentleman and donned the fur cap of an American frontiersman. Original genius and polymath, Franklin understood that the French would see through any false pretension but respect an authenticity that sprang from an unpretentious and naive love of country.

What a contrast there is between Franklin and Barack Obama. Obama is a Harvard lawyer who is a mile wide and an inch deep. He is only the latest in a long line of shallow elites that consider it stylish and intellectual to despise their own culture and heritage.

Nothing exemplifies Obama’s antipathy for American culture better than his statement that Americans “cling to” religion and guns out of frustration or bitterness. We only can suppose that Obama regards religion or firearms as aberrations that need to be eradicated.

Of course, both guns and religion are essential aspects of American culture. The United States was founded by people seeking religious freedom. Does the word “Pilgrim” ring a bell with anyone? Our freedom and the right to self-government were won by farmers with guns.

The American Revolution started when the British marched to Concord with the intention of confiscating colonial arms. Both the right to “keep and bear arms,” and the right to “free exercise” of religion are enshrined in the Bill of Rights. We have come a long way when the presidential nominee of a major political party regards the exercise of fundamental rights as a mental aberration.

When Obama refers to “my Muslim faith,” the verbal gaffe resonates as a Freudian slip because of Obama’s thinly veiled hatred for this country’s unique culture and institutions. Obama sat for 20 years in a church where the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr preached “goddamn America.” He only resigned from the congregation when it became politically expedient to do so. When earlier this year, Michelle Obama said “for the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country,” can we conclude that her husband disagrees? Is it not remarkable that Michelle Obama can be so small-minded as to find nothing in the history of the United States that merits her admiration but the personal success of her husband?

What is Barack Obama for? His campaign motto is “change.” But even a 6-year-old child understands that “change” can be either good or bad. Lacking specifics, the invocation of “change” as policy is completely empty. As we witness Obama’s minions mindlessly endorse the meaningless maxim of “change,” it only can call to mind the barnyard animals in George Orwell’s “Animal Farm” chanting “four legs good, two legs bad!”

The choice of Sarah Palin as John McCain’s running mate has been devastating for the Obama campaign precisely because she is everything Obama is not. Palin is not ashamed of her culture or country. She is not embarrassed by being an American, but naively embraces her birthright. Unassisted by affirmative action, Palin has risen to national prominence on the basis of her character, intelligence and natural gifts. In a word, she has guts. This is a woman who is proud of her country, not because it has granted her personal success, but because she respects what America stands for: freedom, opportunity, and individualism.

Obama is a vapid demagogue, a hollow man that despises American culture. He is ill-suited to be president of the United States. As the weeks pass, more Americans will come to this realization and elect McCain/Palin in a landslide.

Oct 4, 2008 - 10:45 am 47. Ken:

A Black Man’s View of Obama

Here is a report about Obama from a black columnist.
He definitely brings a different light to this newly minted politician.

17740f8.jpg
Ken Blackwell - Columnist for the New York Sun

Obama is the single most liberal senator in the entire U.S. Senate. He is more liberal than Ted Kennedy, Bernie Sanders, or Mrs. Clinton. Never in my life have I seen a presidential frontrunner whose rhetoric is so far removed from his record. Walter Mondale promised to raise our taxes, and he lost. George McGovern promised military weakness, and he lost. Michael Dukakis promised a liberal domestic agenda, and he lost

It’s an amazing time to be alive in America. We’re in a year of firsts in this presidential election:
the first viable woman candidate; the first viable African-American candidate;
and, a candidate who is the first front running freedom fighter over 70.
The next president of America will be a first.

We won’t truly be in an election of firsts, however, until we judge every candidate by where they stand. We won’t arrive where we should be until we no longer talk about skin color or gender.

Now that Barack Obama steps to the front of the Democratic field, we need to stop talking about his race, and start talking about his policies and his politics.

Some pundits are calling him the next John F. Kennedy. He’s not. He’s the next George McGovern. And it’s time people learned the facts.

Because the truth is that Mr. Obama is promising all those things, and he’s not behind in the polls. Why? Because the press has dealt with him as if he were in a beauty pageant.

Mr. Obama talks about getting past party, getting past red and blue, to lead the United States of America. But let’s look at the more defined strokes of who he is underneath this superficial ‘beauty.’

Start with national security, since the president’s most important duties are as commander-in-chief. Over the summer, Mr. Obama talked about invading Pakistan, a nation armed with nuclear weapons; meeting without preconditions with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who vows to destroy Israel and create another Holocaust; and Kim Jong II, who is murdering and starving his people, but emphasized that the nuclear option was off the table against terrorists - something no president has ever taken off the table since we created nuclear weapons in the 1940s. Even Democrats who have worked in national security condemned all of those remarks. Mr. Obama is a foreign-policy novice who would put our national security at risk.

Next, consider economic policy. For all its faults, our health care system is the strongest in the world. And free trade agreements, created by Bill Clinton as well as President Bush, have made more goods more affordable so that even people of modest means can live a life that no one imagined a generation ago. Yet Mr. Obama promises to raise taxes on ‘the rich.’ How to fix Social Security? Raise taxes. How to fix Medicare? Raise taxes. Prescription drugs? Raise taxes.. Free college? Raise taxes. Socialize medicine? Raise taxes. His solution to everything is to have government take it over.. Big Brother on steroids, funded by your paycheck.

Finally, look at the social issues. Mr. Obama had the audacity to open a stadium rally by saying, ‘All praise and glory to God!’. . but says that Christian leaders speaking for life and marriage have ‘hijacked’ -hijacked- Christianity. He is pro-partial birth abortion, and promises to appoint Supreme Court justices who will rule any restriction on it unconstitutional. He espouses the abortion views of Margaret Sanger, one of the early advocates of racial cleansing. His spiritual leaders endorse homosexual marriage, and he is moving in that direction. In Illinois, he refused to vote against a statewide ban - ban - on all handguns in the state. These are radical left, Hollywood, and San Francisco values, not Middle America values.

The real Mr. Obama is an easy target for the general election. Mrs. Clinton is a far tougher opponent. But Mr. Obama could win if people don’t start looking behind his veneer and flowery speeches.. His vision of ‘bringing America together’ means saying that those who disagree with his agenda for America are hijackers or warmongers.. Uniting the country means adopting his liberal agenda and abandoning any conflicting beliefs.

But right now everyone is talking about how eloquent of a speaker he is and - yes - they’re talking about his race. Those should never be the factors on which we base our choice for president. Mr. Obama’s radical agenda sets him far outside the American mainstream, to the left of Mrs. Clinton.

It’s time to talk about the real Barack Obama. In an election of firsts, let’s first make sure we elect the person who is qualified to be our president in a nuclear age during a global civilization war.

Kind of scary, wouldn’t you think—

Remember - - God is good, and is in time, on time - - every time.

According to The Book of Revelations the anti-Christ is:
The anti-Christ will be a man, in his 40s, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal….the prophecy says that people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he is in power, will destroy everything. Is it OBAMA??

I STRONGLY URGE each one of you to repost this as many times as you can! Each opportunity that you have to send it to a friend or media outlet….do it!

If you think I am crazy.. sorry - - but I refuse to take a chance on the ‘unknown’ candidate.

Hell, even Hillary Clinton was attacked and she’s one of their own! Bill Clinton accused of being a racist. This “race” mantra would probably be better address by the media. Obama is more Arab and White than Black! I don’t care what race or gender but I do care that he is left of socialism!

Then we have the little problem with his policy plans that would drive the country into a depression! If anyone has been watching the agenda of the far left and their “useful idiots” owners (Moveon: We own the Democrat Party) they would see exactly what has been going on and would be demanding that Dodd, Frank, Waters, Pelosi, Ried and Obama not only be kicked out of Congress but prosecuted!

To top things off, he was stupid enough to bring up experience and could only come up with “community organizer” which is a paid agitator. His lack of experience forced him to bring Biden. Now there’s a guy that nobody voted for when he ran for president and every stand he has taken was wrong! Hm, Biden say he would be in the room with Obama to help him make important decisions. YIKES! That doesn’t make me feel more secure!

We asked that votes be subject to at least asking for an identification of these people but were overruled.

Mr. Obama’s race or gender is of no concern to me but my freedom to vote and have that vote counted does matter to me. I am voting against Obama because he is a dictator. Besides, he is more White and Arab than he is Black.

I’m sure there is a long list of willing accomplices in the muslim world that could produce these documents as well.

Remember, the election, no, the coronation of Barack Hussein Obama, the annointed one, as POTUS has nothing to do with the truth or the facts or even decency for that matter. Barack Obama is the most dangerous man that we have had as a potential POTUS. All of his associations and campaign tactics point to something far more sinister happening in our midst. I wish that more of this was being reported so that people could wake up and see it.

I am praying that McCain/Palin win in a landslide. If Obama, Pelosi and Reid run the government, the country is in deep trouble and many of our freedoms will eventually be gone.

Oct 4, 2008 - 11:53 am 55. Muslims for Obama:

Seriously? There they go again with the “deep-seated racial misgivings could cost Barack Obama the White House.” Perhaps somebody should do a poll asking about the deep seated problems with racial misgivings about voting for someone claiming to be an African-American rather than an Arab-American. I hear that something like 98% of the Black/Muslim vote is going to Obama…so, is that racism or is it simply to take over the country without firing a shot to defend the country?

CFBleachers,
Will you cut and paste your comment, please, and send it to every news organization you can think of? This needs to be seen by everyone before this election. It’s important. I hope that others besides us PJMedia commenters get the benefit of such wisdom.

Personally, I don’t care about Obama’s religion, I care if he’s lying about it. I don’t care about most of his associations, but I care that he won’t discuss them. I don’t care if he wants to try to smear or attack the republican ticket (they can take care of themselves), but I care that he won’t allow discussion at all about his own past or policies without his “truth squad” threatening jail and/or lawsuits to anyone who utters an opinion. I also care that his campaign won’t disclose the names of its donors or that they allow donations from individuals with made up names who donate above the contribution limit. I care that the FEC has had to order Obama to repay those donations, and he still hasn’t done it. If McCain or Palin had any of the shady associations or covered up religious leanings that Obama has, the Democrats and the media would be screaming. If McCain or Palin had taken illegal campaign donations, the Democrats and the MSM would be all over that, too. If McCain or Palin refused to show their birth certificates; if Republican state officials threatened to put people in jail for their political speech; if McCain or Palin brought up Obama’s race even once (compared with the what 100 times Obama has brought it up); the list goes on.

Barack Obama has changed politics in this country forever, and not with his ground-breaking nomination or his meteoric rise from relative obscurity. He is MacBeth. He is the man who will stop at nothing to force into being what probably would have happened anyway, had he just remained true to the purity of politics as service to the people. Like MacBeth, Obama just can’t wait for the power. A man like John McCain gets to the presidency through grit, decades of hard work, experience and a genuine spirit of public service. Obama could have spent another 10-15 years in public service, actually accomplishing important things for the American people rather than writing books about himself, before running for president. That probably would have been beneficial both to us and to him. But that isn’t good enough. He wants the power so badly, he can taste it, and, regardless of the fact that he isn’t ready for it, he will do whatever he has to do to get it.

I was a Democrat for 36 years, and deeply involved in the local party. I had the eye-opening experience of working next door to the Obama campaign headquarters. I talked to several of the 250 Obama supporters who were bused into my city to vote provisionally, so they could illegally influence the caucus results (I live in TX.) I saw HUNDREDS of caucus sign-in sheets illegally handed out by the Obama office, so they could fraudulently pad the caucus attendance.

I left the Democratic Party for good when the geniuses on the Rules and Bylaws Committee decided to arbitrarily reassign votes to Obama in Michigan.

Although I am a bleeding-heart liberal, I cannot vote for a candidate who makes a mockery of democracy by blatant cheating. Obama has no integrity. I will be voting for McCain/Palin because–although I disagree with many of the ticket’s positions–I believe the most important attribute ANY candidate should possess is honesty. I see ZERO honesty from Obama.

“Would it be toooooo much for both sides to admit that none of the four people running for the highest offices in the land are the LEAST bit impressive or capable or up to speed for the job?”

I admit they are not “up to speed.”

Capable is another issue.

I wish we were electing a team. I think the knowledge of the advisors these people surround themselves with fill in the details of what we could hope the future to bring. If we knew all the team players we could have a better idea if we are picking winners.
There will hardly ever be any one person who is an expert in everything necessary.

What matters most is their personal integrity, character, and their general philosophy or stand on: economics, constitutional law, and their world view and the part that the US should play in it. That will lead to which experts they will surround themselves with for advice.

I personally didn’t like the choice of Mitt R. for president because he has been hood-winked by the Mormons, and anyone who is willing to take an honest look and the Mormon History will realize how many lies they have been fed by that church. (I know because I have “been there and done that.”) To me this willful gullibility is a serious weakness. That said, I personally like the guy and agree on where he stands on the issues. I would not have been able to vote for him as president.

I wasn’t too sure about Huckabee, but after seeing how he has handled himself during this crisis and seeing him outside of his “vote for me” role, I now wish he was on the ticket. I hope will be someday.

Right now I have determined to vote AGAINST Obama. I see a real charlatan when I look at the man. I have seen how he will say what ever it takes to get where he wants to be, even if it means contradicting himself for the next person. He also has a real knack for giving an unspecific answer, so more people will think he agrees with them. (See the interview of his colleges on the law review.)Even with out considering his lean towards socialism, he scares me. He is slick, nothing will stick to him. He will just redefine what he meant when he said it.

Hitler was slick like this. He ran on change too. Germans were hurting and they wanted change. Hitler was their charismatic answer. He could really fire them up with his speeches. They knew if they elected him, their skies would be bluer and their oceans would be peaceful.

Obama is buying votes with the promise of tax breaks for 95% of the citizens. At least 40% don’t even pay income taxes, and they will get a “refund or rebate.” Rob the rich and give to the poor. The clue here is that it will be given to them.

If we lower taxes on businesses it will create jobs. Jobs mean people will earn what they get. Many would rather have it handed to them. They are looking for socialist programs and handouts, not work. Obama is their candy man. He is handing out promises of more freebees.

It was socialism that got us into this crisis. Example: “Everyone should own a house even if they have not earned the good credit and a down payment to get one.”

I grew up on welfare. Guess what. We cheated to get it. I didn’t know anyone who got it, who wasn’t cheating. I know the mind set of the culture I grew up in. Some of my siblings are still happy to live in that culture. They can afford their booze and that is all it takes to make life great for them. The men stretch out each cycle of unemployment to the limit, while their unmarried “wives” collect welfare for their children. All the man’s belongings will be moved to the attic, along with the big TV and nice furniture, when the social worker comes for the home visit. The children who “might slip” and say something are playing at the neighbor’s house or having a day out with Granny.

Many will vote for Obama, because he is going to give them free programs and money. He is their man.

If Obama wins, America will quickly decline further into socialism. It is the general philosophies and the character of this man that is dangerous, not his lack of experience.

Get someone in there who loves the Constitution, understands the strength of a nation that operates on capitalism, and who is a nationalist more than a globalist, (country first.) Get a person who has courage, compassion, and sound integrity, then trust them to pick out advisors who agree with their philosophies on American life and have the experience and knowledge to fill in the details.

I can vote for McCain and Palin, especially Palin.

Talk about a learning curve, all hopes rest on Governor Palin at the Vice Presidential Debate, no thanks to Katie Couric and Charlie Gibson. Ms. Palin knocks it out of the ballpark; she delivers. There’s an observation I’d like to make about Democrats though. A faux pas they commit with increased regularity. Now if you don’t like Bozo the clown, if you feel that he’s a particularly bad clown and bad for the country, why then don a Bozo wig, a pair of size 14 shoes, and a rubber nose whenever denouncing Bozo?

If there’s an official uniform of the president, it’s the pastel blue tie, white shirt, and dark suit first popularized by George W. Bush. The color scheme comes from the presidential flag. No other American president made those colors his signature style before George W. Bush. In 2004, Bill Clinton even had his presidential portrait painted wearing George W’s distinctive garb. Although the 1960 Kennedy vs. Nixon debate was televised in black & white, people still argue the significance dark blue vs. grey played during the election.

But there remains no ambiguity about which candidate wore what color (Kennedy, blue). Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. And, the fashion police have long memories. Ms. Palin dressed for and aced the debate. Note: before castigating Bozo, please try not to emulate Bozo. It makes one look like a clown. Unlike foppish Al Gore, Joe Biden and others, we must not allow our inner bozos to dictate our thoughts and actions, much less our mode of dress: http://theseedsof9-11.com

Look, I’m going to be voting for John McCain, but it certainly does look like a lost cause. No matter, I will do my duty as a citizen and a patriot on November 5th.

The poll numbers keep getting worse and worse for McCain, and it looks like it could become an electoral massacre almost as bad as what Reagan did to Carter in 1980.

The demographics behind the increasing lead for Obama show that that he is surging ahead in the female vote. Not just the under-30 women, but also the older women. It’s stunning, despite a very fine female running mate the McCain selected and her very good performance the other night.

For at least two decades now, despite the 1988, 2000, and 2004 setbacks for the Democrats, the nation has been gradually shifting Leftward, with women overwhelmingly becoming more attracted to the Left. This is a phenomenon that should be looked at more closely. Women are more attracted to socialist economic policies and post-modernist cultural Marxist ethics.

This needs to be studied. As a former Marxist, I can tell you that the Gramscians have succeeded in their long march through the institutions of learning and now control the educational establishment, at all levels, in this country. That is a given fact. No one disputes it. But what needs to be looked at is why the women of this country are very loyal to this movement of cultural Marxism, a lot of which many of them may not be aware of and not cognizant of the history of ideas.

You cannot counter a powerful trend unless and until you get inside its head.

And Obama is what ?? You can blab racism , you can post anything you want , but it still doesn’t make Obama a credible candidate for the US presidency . Remove the hype and the cover up and what do you get , a charismatic and well spoken politician who have no real achievements and who just happen to be black . Without the Daley machine , without Will Ayers , without the MSM behind him , his political career would amount to zilch .

“Angry African” posted characterizations of Sen. McCain that are patently false. He can’t back them up. In addition, maybe “Angry African” could have used a lesson or two inside the Hanoi Hilton for a fraction of the time John McCain languished there. AND HE WAS THERE OF HIS OWN VOLITION! He could have left early, but he did not.

You know crap about honor and character, “Angry African.” You have no credibility here. You should just stay in the gutter over at DailyKos or some other socialist shithole in the blog world. Your mad fulminations would be more appreciated by those folks.

For all of you who mentioned voter fraud, discrepancies and illegalities, did any of you take it upon yourselves to be an honest citizen and report it to the proper authorities? While I do believe most sincerely that those things go on (as Acorn was prosecuted and convicted in my state of WA after our governor’s race in 2004), it seems a bit strange that so many people talk of seeing it firsthand and yet there appears to be no legal record of it.

Hillary felt she was owed the nomination because she’s white? Ridiculous. Hillary felt she was owed the nomination because she’s Hillary and Hillary is owed. Which doesn’t mean she didn’t get screwed, because she did. Seems like there was some real funny business going on in those caucuses. Funny business the Chicago way.

I recall during the primaries Susan Estrich, a member of the commission that “reformed” the Dem’s nominating rules, wondered whether she and her fellow commissioners had been on drugs to come up with such a screwy system. If BO loses, will they go to the drawing board again?

Oct 4, 2008 - 11:16 pm 75. Jeff:

This is just a fictional story that I have created to bring light to the time that we are in now —

Two men from the year 3000 decided to take their spacecraft on a trip back in time to learn the events of the past.

One man asked the other, “Steve, which part of history should we go back to?”
So Steve replied, ”Let’s go back to 2008, John. It was a very significant time in our history. This was the time when our country was at the crossroads of deciding our future and the end results of their decisions are what we are living with now. I heard that our country was at its most crucial time because it was economically crumbling at the core of its foundation.”
“Fair enough Steve, let’s go back to 2008,” John agreed.

So they both entered their spacecraft and took a trip back to 2008. Within light speed they zoomed across time going back to 2008 and soon appeared above The White House in Washington DC, up in the sky just hovering in stealth mode.

Steve turned to John and said, “Let’s turn on the screen and watch all the events of this time starting back from the day America was attacked on 9/11/01, John.”
So John turned on the screen and the two watched all of the events starting from 9/11 to the current year that they were in, which is 2008. While they were watching all of the events of 9/11, the Afghanistan War, and the events of the Iraq War up to the current time that they are at, which is November 4th of 2008. They paused the screen and looked at each other, just scratching their heads.

John looked at Steve and commented, “Steve, these events are devastating after 9/11. We went into Afghanistan which was right but everything shows that we had no reason to go into that other country called Iraq. There was so many of our soldiers and people that died in this carelessness.”
So Steve thought about it and replied, “It appears that you are right, John, but the people of America seem to stand with this President. Now let’s un-pause the screen and watch this 2008 election and the 4 years that follow this. Then we go back home.”

So John un-paused the screen and the two watched the 2008 election and the 4 years that followed this election and went back to their own time, which is the year 3000.

John looked at Steve and commented, “This trip gave me a new view of humanity, Steve. I don’t understand why we continue to make the same mistakes over and over again. That white man was just a continuation of that last President but our ancestors voted for him anyway because America could relate to him more. They voted for him because he looked similar to the majority of them but denied the other candidate simply because he looked different. Although that other candidate looked different, he seemed to want to help the country turn around. He seemed to look forward to the future and had futuristic ideas of not just transforming America for the better but creating a unity in the world. He seemed to be a man of the world and the world seemed to view him very favorably.”

So Steve answered, “I understand how you feel and I share the same sentiments, John. At that time in history, human mentalities had not transcended beyond fear of the different and the unknown. The human mentalities at that time had not transcended above and beyond the differences in color, creed, religion, and cultural backgrounds of this world. Because of this ignorance, our society is what it is today. It’s the year 3000 and wars are the only one thing that seems to be unable to evade humanity. Now, we are crumbling at our feet with all these wars all across the globe. We had a defining movement in history, John. We had a chance to open our minds and hearts to something different and something new, but we, as a collective, blew it. Now humanity is at an endless conflict and I fear that we are meeting our extinction. God help us all.”

Obama Biden not caring for their neighbors, Their charitable giving is less than Palin combined over many years. They are generious with our tax money and cheap with their own money. See the article below
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin made considerably less money than rival Sen. Joe Biden, but the Palin family gave more to charity in the last two years than Biden has in the last eight combined, according to Palin’s tax records released Friday afternoon.

Palin, the running mate of presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), and her husband Todd reported meager earnings from 2006 and 2007, at least by presidential-politics standards.

In 2006, the Palins paid $11,944 in taxes on $127,869 in income. In 2007, they paid $24,738 on $166,080.

But in 2006, they donated $4,880 to charity, and in 2007, they donated $3,325.

By contrast, Biden (D-Del.), Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s running mate, has donated a total of $3,690 since 1998 despite his higher Senate salary, according to an analysis posted by National Review.

he timing of the release of the Palins tax records has become something of a tradition. Campaigns wait until Friday afternoon, when the news cycle slows to a grind and reporters are focused elsewhere — in this case, Congress’s passage and the president’s signing of the financial rescue package.

At the top of my head - Linclon was a captain of a militia, a politician for the whig party, and argued for some landmark cases as a lawyer. He ran his own store and helped his family build a log cabin.

You inquired about Lincoln’s accomplishments BEFORE the election (I take it you mean before the presidential election) and I listed them. Why do you not consider his militia experience as one of his achievement? Because he wasn’t part of elite academic or political circles?

I’m sorry that you have no respect for your “illiterate in law” or those who manage a store, but Lincoln did. It counts as life experience. Lincoln is perhaps the prototype of “common man” president every candidate touts himself to be. He was born in the log cabin, barely graduated from grade school, and performed manual labor to make a living for a while.

Maybe “landmark” isn’t the right term, but Lincoln did argue for some important cases.

You’re basically trashing the greatest president there ever was to bolster the case for your own candidate. IMO Lincoln is NOT an example of a candidate who overcame his inexperience to achieve greatness. He was plenty ready. I’m not passing myself as a Lincoln expert, but even a quick glance at Lincoln’s Wikipedia page is enough to debunk your condescending claim. “What was Lincoln’s accomplishment before the election DUH” Please repeat that verbatim to any reputable historian who has no interest in this election, and note their response.

Are you typical of Obama supporters? Questioning others’IQ when they disagree with you? Your mockery of your illiterate cousin running a store really puts a cramp on Obama’s image as a champion of the middle class as well. Talk about being a disservice to Obama’s cause.

Oct 6, 2008 - 8:09 am 98. N0MAD:

Obama/Alinsky playbook:

RULE 1: “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.” Power is derived from 2 main sources - money and people. “Have-Nots” must build power from flesh and blood. (These are two things of which there is a plentiful supply. Government and corporations always have a difficult time appealing to people, and usually do so almost exclusively with economic arguments.)

RULE 2: “Never go outside the expertise of your people.” It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone. (Organizations under attack wonder why radicals don’t address the “real” issues. This is why. They avoid things with which they have no knowledge.)

RULE 3: “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.” Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)

RULE 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules. (This is a serious rule. The besieged entity’s very credibility and reputation is at stake, because if activists catch it lying or not living up to its commitments, they can continue to chip away at the damage.)

RULE 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions. (Pretty crude, rude and mean, huh? They want to create anger and fear.)

RULE 6: “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.” They’ll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. They’re doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones. (Radical activists, in this sense, are no different that any other human being. We all avoid “un-fun” activities, and but we revel at and enjoy the ones that work and bring results.)

RULE 7: “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.” Don’t become old news. (Even radical activists get bored. So to keep them excited and involved, organizers are constantly coming up with new tactics.)

RULE 8: “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.” Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new. (Attack, attack, attack from all sides, never giving the reeling organization a chance to rest, regroup, recover and re-strategize.)

RULE 9: “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.” Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist. (Perception is reality. Large organizations always prepare a worst-case scenario, something that may be furthest from the activists’ minds. The upshot is that the organization will expend enormous time and energy, creating in its own collective mind the direst of conclusions. The possibilities can easily poison the mind and result in demoralization.)

RULE 10: “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.” Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog. (Unions used this tactic. Peaceful [albeit loud] demonstrations during the heyday of unions in the early to mid-20th Century incurred management’s wrath, often in the form of violence that eventually brought public sympathy to their side.)

RULE 11: “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.” Never let the enemy score points because you’re caught without a solution to the problem. (Old saw: If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem. Activist organizations have an agenda, and their strategy is to hold a place at the table, to be given a forum to wield their power. So, they have to have a compromise solution.)

RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)

Oct 6, 2008 - 8:42 am 99. GreenBear:

I’ll tell a true sign that there’s more support for McCain than the polls let on…
My neighbor came over and asked my elderly father, who lives with me, if we would like a McCain sign to put up in our yard and asked if I would mind.
My father said yes, he could, and that he knew I support McCain.
This tells me that the support is sure enough and aggressive enough that they won’t be bullied by what they polls supposedly show.
It also tells me that, for every bold-as-brass conservative like my neighbor, there are probably ten who feel the same way but don’t say anything because politics can drive customers away or jeopardize their raise, etc.
The support is there and I think the amount of polls, news stories, and vitriol that the leftist media spew at us every day are in direct proportion to the amount of support for McCain that they truly know is out there.
It’s the full court press now because they know what the unskewed number would look like. They’re a cornered animal and we have the pointed stick.

“A young potent male was victorious over an older women. It was a symbolic victory on many deep psychological levels. I am afraid last night was just the beginning and that there will be more crimes against women.”

She faces a man beating a woman at a restuarant and declares the above. The event is attributed to Obama’s win over CLinton.Such a victim queen would always use statistics to morph to her advantage.

She moderates comments on her site and allows only the favourable ones, akin to feminista’s at feministing.com.

Obama’s election and Hillary’s defeat is more a result of her arrogance and mis-management.

Regarding the shift of Black female vote, that is a natural human psyche.Let me give an example.I identify myself with a candidate A or Candidate B. Let me assume that I have a slight tilt towards candidate A. If A has no chance of winning I support B. But if A suddenly has picked up, my support would shift to A at expense of B.

And regarding the disproportionate number of delegates from Obama’s regions: This advantage is his lady luck. He did not insist to change rules to suit his campaign. His racial profile made him an ideal candidate to exploit those “rules”.
