My point is that it is not about Religion per se, but the interpretation thereof. It would be a mistake to tar all muslims with the brush of the radicals, just as it would be deeply unfair to claim that since some christians behave ignobily and justify it using the bible, then all christians are ‘evil’.

This is a complex, dangerous situation, and regardless of your personal stance on the issue, it merits subtelty and understanding not blanket statements and biased opinions.

Most of the Arabs came to the area that is now israel only once the jews had arrived and begun developing the economy. Under the brits, who had not yet made up their minds whether to act on the balfour declaration, jewish immigration was curtailed while arabs/muslims streamed in to take advantage of the developing economy (developed by the jews). that’s how most palestinians came to the area. They also did not leave thru force population transfer as was claimed. We have the documentation today from the british mandate and we know they left because the surrounding arab countries told them to while the jews told them to stay. The palestinian problem is a self-created one and created by arabs, not jews

Are you saying that because some Israeli politicians are crooks that means we must unquestioningly believe the UN—despite its ties to Hamas—because, well, they’re crooked too? That doesn’t make any sense, sorry, it just doesn’t.

What does that have to do with anything? the claim was that Israel had left Europe lagging far behind, the muslim world wasn’t even mentioned. I’m sure that Israel does have more nobel prizes, the muslim world isn’t exactly known for innovation and progressive ideas.
