Ex-CAIR Chairman: FBI Should Shut Down the Organization
The Council on American-Islamic relations has existed in America as a fifth column terror support network.
In April 2008, Omer Subhani, then-communications director of CAIR-Florida, stated: “[I]f any CAIR officials have done any wrong doing then they should be punished. … If they have done wrong then our government should go after them.” Less than two months later, the United States Justice Department named CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) as a co-conspirator in a federal terrorism trial dealing with the financing of millions of dollars to Hamas.
In January, Fox News reported that the FBI had “severed its ties” with all CAIR chapters. Now, Parvez Ahmed, the former national chairman of CAIR’s board of directors, has come out with his own thoughts on punishment for the group. Ahmed served as CAIR’s national chairman from May 2005 until his resignation in June 2008. His departure was not without controversy and his parting words were not complimentary. In an interview with the Florida Times-Union, Ahmed said he became “a little burned out pushing so hard” for CAIR to be more “open and transparent.”
Ahmed’s time away from CAIR hasn’t stopped the FBI from considering him a person of interest. Following the Fox News report, the intelligence agency paid Ahmed a visit. In an article he wrote for the Fayeteville Observer, Ahmed stated, “I was surprised to see an FBI agent stop by my office in Jacksonville, seeking reasons for my resignation as CAIR chairman.”
Ahmed’s departure came shortly before the federal retrial against the Hamas charity, the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF). The Justice Department named CAIR a co-conspirator. This no doubt could have triggered the FBI inquiry. During the first HLF trial, a number of documents were released implicating CAIR. Given this fact, it is curious why Ahmed would pose a challenge to the government regarding CAIR’s “terrorist ties.”
Ahmed wrote in the Observer piece, “If CAIR has ‘terrorist ties,’ as Reps. Sue Myrick and Patrick McHenry of North Carolina and Paul Broun of Georgia claim it does, then the FBI should not be ‘limiting’ contact with CAIR, but rather should shut the organization down.” He then made a similar statement in an article he penned for the Huffington Post: “If CAIR has ‘terrorist ties’ as some members of Congress claim then the FBI should shut CAIR down.” If the government were to take Ahmed’s challenge seriously, CAIR would no longer exist.

1. dad:CAIR is nothing but a pro-Islamic Neanderthal, pro-sharia piece of garbage that is looking to spread the Mohammad’s death cult to every corner of the globe.
Apr 3, 2009 - 4:30 am 2. elvis:Great piece! Keep them coming. No one seems to know about this travesty.
Apr 3, 2009 - 4:37 am 3. Bruce:Don’t you suppose the FBI has so thoroughly infiltrated the organization that they see it as their most valuable listening post or watch tower to use against domestic terrorists?
One would hope so. But with the lockstep progressives of our civil service one should also suspect that any infiltrators would come from the corps of jihadists who already have infiltrated our government. IOW, like Bullwinkle’s anti-anti-anti-anti-missile-missile-missles, our anti-terror campaign got lost before it started.

I propose F.A.I.R (Freedom from American-Islamic Relations), it is always good to be F.A.I.R.
Apr 3, 2009 - 7:51 am 5. Mark in Dayton:No gov’t organization – local, state, federal- should treat with CAIR in any manner, shape or form. Unless it is to cursh an organization bent on the overthrow of the US Constitution.
Has anyone else noticed how stupid so many of our elected officials are? By that I mean, so many of them are oblivious to the threat posed to our way of life by the ideology of islam and the deceitful people who follow it?
So few of our elected reps realy get it. Amazing.
Apr 3, 2009 - 9:29 am 6. Christopher Logan:Still many of our politicians bow down to CAIR.
Apr 3, 2009 - 10:46 am 7. AlanABQ:I think you’re all being intolerant of CAIR. It’s their belief that we should convert or die, as commanded by MooHamEd’s little book of acceptable atrocities, and anything to the contrary of what Islam wants is hate speech. We are, after all, just a nation of dhimmis who ought to be paying our infidel tax to them at the very least.
Is that clear? Free speech is the real enemy.
Apr 3, 2009 - 1:08 pm 8. Listen up:CAIR is a front for terrorist seeking to destroy America from within. Their operation is directed to use the laws of America as tools, actually weapons to spread their vile agenda. Because America is a tolerant nation CAIR exploits this tolerance for their gain. Either our elected officials are too dumb to see the danger or are afraid to get “muddied” by the liberal media for opposing these thugs.
Apr 3, 2009 - 6:37 pm 9. MiamaMan:I think we should behead CAIR.
Apr 3, 2009 - 7:53 pm 10. Christopher Smith:@8 It is so wierd to hear this. CAIR is very active in Orlando and has participated in every single community event, the people who show up and help are always so nice and they donate money like candy, their scholarship programs are generous to a fault giving almost 10 million in college scholarships to kids in the Pine Hills area (the East St. Louis of Orlando) for them to go to private schools and/or college.
It’s odd to hear that a group that has done nothing but help Orlando is secretly trying to destroy it.
Needless to say it’s hard for me to believe.
Apr 3, 2009 - 8:19 pm 11. Oscar the Grump:Watch out now you’re messin with Prez Obama’s good friends, he be angry.
Apr 5, 2009 - 5:38 pm 12. Blackwater:CAIR is a front for the Muslim Brotherhood. A racist islamist imperialist jihadist organization. They’re a 5th column if there ever was one.
Apr 6, 2009 - 2:43 am 13. Juke:Just tell the government that CAIR is full of white Mormons, they’ll go after them in a second.
Apr 6, 2009 - 5:03 am 14. BobNweave:10 — as a character in a John Le Carre novel responds to a similar point, “in our buisiness, we call it a good cover”. Where does the money they hand out come from?
Joe K — you go, Joe, we read the book and you come out on top (apologies to Tim Rice)
Apr 6, 2009 - 9:23 am 15. Klem:The headline is completely misleading. Why are you spreading hate and misinformation? Don’t you want American Muslim organizations to cooperate with the FBI?
Apr 7, 2009 - 2:17 am 16. IdontCARE:CARE is an International danger
Apr 17, 2009 - 6:27 am 17. Muslim:Ahmed wrote in the Observer piece, “If CAIR has ‘terrorist ties,’ as Reps. The title is a huge distortion on the statement that the this ex chairman said. If in fact it is linked to terrorism then shut it down. But a quick check onto their website shows that it is in fact there and you can see that they are clearly anti-terrorism and anti-hate. It’s a strange strange thing. Nobody talks about anything without at least having some level of expertise. To hate islam without really knowing or understanding it is completely unfair and biased. Our Quran teaches us there is NO COMPULSION IN RELIGION. Do as you please, we are only here as messengers to you. Check this link if you dare (http://www.themodernreligion.com/terror/terrorism_verses1.htm).
Furthermore, how can muslims hate and kill jews and christians. If you look into the history of Islam, muslims have fought in the defence of Jews and have seeked shelter in Abyssinia (a christian state at the time) in it’s early beginnings. Examine the pact that was made with the jews here(again if you dare, if you don’t have the courage to face the truth, thats your own issue, but I tried to tell you!): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constitution_of_Medina
