The new line is to report every violent incident ad nauseam, saying that it's 'a sign that the success of the surge [now admitted openly] may not be permanent'. The MSM, which is more backedged, is still changing the subject to economics on the grounds that the Republicans are winning on Iraq, but they will catch up with NPR soon I predict. Positive stories rose from 400 to 1100. Negative stories fell from 11,000 to less than 2,000. Thus, a little bit more positive reporting, but mostly, just not reporting at all.
