Does anyone believe the execution and/or timing of the Basra offensive had anything to do with the recent departure of Silver Fox Fallon?

I believe Iran have key role in Iraq's violence and really I am laughing when I hear Iranian government looking to peaceful process in Iraq.
for example two moths ago everything looked good and there was no any attack to American in Iraq. some US official announced that Iran behavior is good and peaceful but they don't know anything about Iranian strategy and her tactics. look at lebonan after last summer war. they were quiet but stressed about training/ suppling weapons and advanced missiles and planing for new step to fight with Israel and we are sleeping!!
we slept in Afghanistan and Iraq and now we are sleeping in Lebanon. lets doing everything that they want, finally history will say who was right.

This is the reason al Sadr backed down:

The Iraqi forces are simply too lethal for the Madhi Army to withstand.

well I analyzed all this days ago, right here on Pajamas Media: http://mt.pajamasmedia.com/xpress/michaelledeen/2008/03/27/khamenei_is_shooting_craps.php

The story reported by McClatchy sounds phony to me; the mullahs rolled the dice and got their proxies killed, and they are now counting on some of their friends in Dawa, etc., to cover for them.

Iran has been humiliated, and not just in Basra. I think my original analysis was pretty good.
