....and when the first of their nukes goes off in a western state, we're required to massacre every living being in Iran by annihilating ever city, town, village, hamlet and collection of tents.

That's some kinda foresight ya got there Muazu.

RE: Messing Around

"It is clearly a point of interest to say that messing around with Iran is not in the best interests of America at the present time." -- Mike Tarquini

What would be YOUR response to an Iranian nuke going off in some largish western city?

RE: Who's Crazier?

One must ask themselves if George Bush Junior is f*cking crazy!!!!!!!!!!" -- Mike Tarquini

President Bush or people like Muazu dan Lawal.

Or how about you? You didn't seem to learn much in world history class.

item One:
1.Openly admit to every past shady deal with the enemy, from 1917. It will gradually create a public trust of high level towards the Government

is EXACTLY on the roots of the comming war:

Carter administration let it happen in 1979

Carter people created it

RE: These Options....

....strike me as being 'philosophical' in nature, i.e., straying a bit from the topical discussion of Iran and any sort of war we might become involved with them in; Israeli instigated or not.

And, each of them is worthy of discussion, but each of them would be a topical thread in their own right.

I'm ALL FOR OPENNESS IN GOVERNMENT. Indeed, I'm waging a local battle on that very issue now. The City Clerk just approved circulating a petition to get an open-government citizens' initiative to change the city ordinances on the ballot for the forthcoming election. I'll be in front of the local Sam's Club soliciting signatures on said petition tomorrow AM.

But item one of your agenda is far and away outside the scope of THIS PJM topical thread.

Regards,

Chuck, agree on the venue. Well, since we are still in this one, and if you missed this yesterday, here what i think is a must do:
--
1.Openly admit to every past shady deal with the enemy, from 1917. It will gradually create a public trust of high level towards the Government

2.Openly describe to the public what is known to elites and what they hide from the People, including kremlin's long term strategy to impose world totalitarian domination by force. Including Beijing plans to exterminate Americans and divide our homeland with kremlenoids. Yes, our elites know this.

3.Immediately stop any trade and cancel diplomatic recognition of kremlin, Beijing and all their allies . Also cancel our debt to them. Including Saudis and alike. Including oil imports from them: no trade, no diplomatic recognition NOW. Create domestic methanol fuel economy: doable in several months period.

4.Publish all details on our rotten financial system, including the real situation with Federal debt, federal reserve etc. May be, as some fellow economists proposed, create a new solid currency instead of fiat dollar

5.Immediately cancel all regulations that create obstacles for any kind of economic development here, including those that have created monopolistic conditions in almost all industries, global warming bullshit, etc. Those are well known to the American public.

6.Massively register all illegals. Profile them. Deport all who are remotely suspicious to be the actors of subversion: 1 month term.

7.Seal all borders in a matter of ONE WEEK. We can easily do it.

8.Offer a refuge to all willing to come here Israelis (Jews). Since it may become very dangerous for 6 million people to remain in Israel. Allow them to resettle in California. They will have Israel back in a few years. Or just withdraw any political restrictions we put on their policies in the past: let them handle it on their own and win the region or come here. Or both.

RE: The 'Commies' Are Coming

"I find it amazing at times how people discount these two massively large communist (or should we say quasi-communist since their economic reforms?) countries with plenty of nukes and a clearly stated opposition to our global position." -- A Dissenting Voice

I'm certain that they would take whatever advantage of a conflict with Iran as they might think beneficial. Whether or not they'd come into direct conflict with US is unlikely....at this point. But the ChiComms might try a move on Taiwan.

As for their nuke capabilities. Yes they have such. However, I doubt if they could wipe US out. On the other hand, I'm fairly certain we could do that to them. The question is would we, if it came to that.

I'm not too worried for myself, as I don't live in a major metropolitan area, anymore. But if the wind is from the wrong direction, I'd get plenty of fallout. Fortunately for me, it doesn't blow that way all that often.

Chuckles,

You're definitely on the money with regards to cosmic events and the ability to thoroughly 'humble' [a nicer way of saying completely destroy] our vaunted civilization and human accomplishments. like i said before, puts it all in a much better perspective.

I couldn't agree more regarding trusting candidates [princes as you put it], they're all just people and people (ALL of THEM!) are fallible and susceptible to corruption.

Russia and China. NOW you're talking! I find it amazing at times how people discount these two massively large communist (or should we say quasi-communist since their economic reforms?) countries with plenty of nukes and a clearly stated opposition to our global position. Surely we can agree that they can 'bite' back, right?
What you think of this fuss with Russia and Georgia? Can't say I disagree in the least with a missile shield in europe but unless it's significantly more robust can't see much good it'll do against the Russians.

I'm glad we've been upgrading our capabilities vis a vis them as well. Any advantage we can get will be very helpful if we get into a shooting war with either or both. If we did, what do you think it'd be over and where?
