“Joe the Plumber”–representative of middle class?
I’d be THRILLED if I earned even $125,000 in a year!!!! (note: this is in response to the mathematician who pointed out the $250,000 amount was for families) How many of you earn that much? And even if he bought the business and expanded it, how much expansion would be required before HIS personal income (NOT the business’ gross) reached $125,000?

That is a wealthy person, and the way to stay wealthy is grip firmly against any tax changes–spending money if necessary to defeat them.

Ed Wallis – Someone75 CAN be a bit rational at times. He’s loyal opposition, not really a troll. Sometimes, however, he DOES act like a troll. He likes to get reactions out of people. Or maybe, he comes here after reading some left-wing tripe and carries the attitude forward. If we deal with him in calm voices, I think we can get better out of him.

Marc #174, THANKS for responding with such tempered words – I wouldn’t have been so generous. S75 and others have no intention of “toning it down,” as that would require them to actually base arguments in fact and apply reason. Further, they seem to live on “projection.”
(a rhetorical p.s.): There’s no way to know to what “hypocrisy” he refers…perhaps his post is a deconstructionist attempt at online Scat Singing?

We don’t hate academics. We have disdain for academics without common sense or moral grounding. We hate Ivory tower elitism.
