Let us pray:

PRAYER TO THE DIVINE CHILD JESUS AND THE HOLY INNOCENTS OF ABORTION

Oh Divine Child Jesus, Who as Total Innocence Itself was incarnated through the heart and womb of your most Holy Mother, Mary, protected from all harm by the hands of your Warrior Angel Michael and covered by the protective fatherhood of Saint Joseph who fostered you on earth, hear our cry to You.

This day millions of innocent children call out to You to avenge their blood shed by the evil and malicious hands of medical men and women who should be dedicated to life, but revel in death and cruelty. Once again You are being crucified; this time in the name of "freedom," while so called Christian men and women of God stand by and watch the Holocaust, laugh at Your sufferings and jeer at those who would try to stem this tide of evil.

Forgive these people for they know not what they do. Have mercy on those who turn their heads and allow their unborn brothers and sisters to die and their parents to lose their souls for the sin of murder. Your Word pronounces judgment on the shedders of innocent blood and those who would stand by and let it happen. So all of us confess ourselves as guilty before You without excuse that we let this happen and even worse, that we let this go on for almost 40 years.

We have called good evil and evil good and have been proud to call ourselves Christians while trampling Your Laws and breaking Your Heart. We have no excuse. We deserve Your punishment. But in Your infinite love, dear Jesus, offer up our prayers for mercy to the Father. Beg Him to turn His just wrath away from our land, our churches and our people. We know what we should do, but we haven't done it. But now we do what we should have done years ago as a people called by Your Name-WE REPENT!

On our knees with tears and supplication, we repent of our sins that led us to this state. We surrender our souls to You that we might be forgiven. We beg for the strength we need to be used by You to turn this nation around and make it once again The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.

This one last time, dear Lord, in union with the children who have been murdered by abortion crying before Your Throne, we cry out, "Save us, Oh Lord, lest we perish." Save us lest the monsters of sin take over the running of this nation. Give us mercy and not judgment or we will perish from the face of the earth and drag many nations down to destruction with us. Do not let us be a mockery and a shame to our ancestors who suffered so much for Your Name's sake.

Give us the power to rebuke and uncover the spirits of murder, scandal, perversion, confusion, shame and lies that are running rampant in this world. Empower us as we especially rebuke, bind and cast down Satan, the Father of Lies and a Murderer from the Beginning. In the Name of Jesus in the power of His Blood, we loose the power of the holy angels to restrain the Devil until the Day of Judgment. Holy Michael the Archangel, take hold of the Dragon who seeks to devour the Child of the Woman, as it says in Revelation 12 and cast him down so he can no longer seduce the nations.

We reject Satan and his lies. We reject the glamour of evil that would seek to corrupt our souls. We reject the power of sin that would have us choose expediency over righteousness or acceptance in any culture over truth.

This day we bind ourselves to Your Will alone for the glory of the Father in this matter and in all things. We submit ourselves to You and call revival on this land. We don't deserve it, but this day give us revival, dear Jesus and restore this Nation to Your Father, in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

The mainstream media will always support their liberal illuminati alliances. What I don't understand is that they're trying to take away people's rights as to who they represent, and their freedom of speech.

Greed is driving the human race to extinction. Just look at Wall Street. More is not enough. Yet, we bail them out.

Politicians will go to any length to get elected. They will twist and distort anything to get the "brainless" electorate to believe what they see/hear.

We are sending human beings to their deaths fighting in parts of the world we have no business in. Vietnam should have give us a lesson in a no win situation.
We are fighting an ideology that can rise up anywhere on this planet. How does getting troops killed defeat that?

As for the negative campaigning, what about the media. CNN, FOXNEWS, MSNBC, etc. They take these negative ideas and run them to death. Sean Hannity for example. Stuff that is two years old still dominates his airwaves. Then the public gets sucked up in believing them. Forget the REAL reason for electing a President - economy, jobs, education, health care, etc.

Take Joe the Plummer. McCain brought him up. McCain chose to use him for his own slant.
Imagine - a majority of Americans are having a tough time putting gas in their cars, paying their bills, putting food on the table, fear of foreclosure. McCain calls them welfare.

Yet instead of discusing the issues, Joe the Plummer is dominating the news.

Has anyone heard specific ideas from McCain/Palin to give relief to the middle class? Has anyone heard specific reform plans that McCain/Palin are proposing once they get elected? Has anyone asked Palin how her husband belongs to a group that advocates secession from the USA by Alaska? Has anyone asked how Palin got all the so called reform in Alaska? Perhaps - abuse of power to force the issues be done her way or the highway. Do it my way or your fired.

Simple:
Go to McCain's website and read his specific plans on what he plans to do
Go to Obama's website and read his specific plans on what he plans to do

Compare the two and decide which one is best for you. THEN VOTE. Then live with your choice.

And, all we have to do is change the channel when either a negative speech is being made or the overpaid experts on CNN, FOXNEWS, MSNBC romance the negativity going on.... Lots of live sports on and old movies.

So, research the real data and VOTE. Nov 4th is coming - and remember, if you don't vote, then you have lost your right to voice your complaints.

haha - yeah, lets not get *too* friendly! Actually, I think you and I probably agree on more than we'd like to admit. We just never exchange on anything that isn't really controversial, or political.

How about the bailout? I think nationalizing the banks is a terrible idea.

My knee jerk response is to say so what! But as I thought on this more a troubling scenario emerged in my thought processes. The country seems to be split 40% hard core right and 40% hard core left. That leaves the middle 20% up for grabs. These undecideds could not have an easier choice to make. Free market capitalism vs socialism. Yet they are undecided. My take is they are not sure about anything and are waiting for someone to decide for them, Gemini's if you will.

That is why the press needs to be free and OBJECTIVE. If they are in the tank for one side then how can the election be fair? The polls have short lag time behind whatever narrative the press is pushing. My wife and are constantly saying who do they think they are fooling with this coverage. The truth is they are not trying to influence me. They are after the Gemini's. Obama can say I don't know Ayers until the election and he knows the press will not call him on it. Here is the important thing, they will cover it to an extent but will not show outrage like they do about say a Sarah Palin supporter saying what the press believes her supporters secretly feel. Gemini's respond to that emotion.

We are under siege. It has been the analogy of the frog in the slowly warming water. Do you notice it getting uncomfortable to be a conservative? Colin Powel has. As has C. Buckley, Sullivan, Parker and the likes. We must push back or the fairness doctrine will be enacted in the two areas where free speech reign, radio and the net.

Someone75 - I think you sell people's caring short. People don't care how much you know, until you show how much you care.

I like to think I do a fairly decent job of showing exactly where I stand on things, and why. I get a lot of dialogue, responses, and even an occasional accolade. It tells me people really read what I say. It's not enough for most people to hear precise reasoning. They have to know where you're coming from as a person, first.

Your humanity has to come through. After that, they can give you the benefit of the doubt and see the subtleties of irony, et al.

I'm on a roll today. You're the second guy I disagree with all the time, with whom I've made some human connection today. The other was vivo in the Governator article. I gotta be careful, or I'll be getting along with the opposition. Horrors!

Marc:

Yeah, it's hard to tell with plain text. Irony, sarcasm, and facetiousness don't really translate. I'm trying not to take things too seriously because, it's just not worth it. I could care more than anyone else has ever cared about anything, but nobody really cares how passionate I am about any particular issue and it won't change a thing.

Someone75 - Apology accepted. It's not ALL in fun for me.

John - We ARE in a war of ideology here.

The conservatives believe in the tried-and-true policies. The progressives believe they've come up with a better system. The conservative view is based on faith and religion, as well as historical empiricism. The progressives believe in a secular society and the almost religious worship of science and secular philosophy.

Nothing wrong with science. It's just that, the less religious people become, the more "progressive" they become. They start thinking of some idealized system, as if people have really changed over all the millenia. This makes them the insurgents, working against the established order of our society.

I'm a fiscal conservative. I believe in responsible money management, ESPECIALLY when it's not my money! Why, to my mind, would anyone think differently? Liberals want to experiment, and always with other people's money. Why would anyone ever think like that, unless they're just children? Take risks with your own money, not mine!

I'm a social moderate. I just don't get wrought up about gays and abortion, for example. I believe both are wrong, but I understand the need of a government to represent ALL its citizens' beliefs. I don't care if the government wants to declare a gay couple married, as long as my church doesn't do it. I'd like to see one standard for life and death: a heartbeat. No abortions after the heart starts beating. Such an agreement would bring us closer together on the issue, and make for far fewer abortions.

Social conservatives would pillory me for my position, but I believe the reason we're struggling in the fiscal battle, is because we haven't separated it from the social battle. Agreement on the fiscal issue would pretty much destroy Liberalism. That's why Reagan was so successful, to my mind. The Reagan Dems got on board with his fiscal and foreign affairs policies. His '84 reelection was a HUGE landslide for that reason. The side effect was to make liberal social values less credible.

Now with the fiscal mess, Liberalism is making a huge comeback. The insurgents are winning. Conservatives have to win every time. The Libs only have to win once to destroy this country in these times.

The Reagan Dems got on board with his fiscal and foreign affairs policies. His ‘84 reelection was a HUGE landslide for that reason. The side effect was to make liberal social values less credible.

Now with the fiscal mess, Liberalism is making a huge comeback. The insurgents are winning. Conservatives have to win every time. The Libs only have to win once to destroy this country in these times.

I don't understand the black community: They're picking, as the first black President, a man who will go down in history as a greater failure than President Carter. Would they not prefer someone bound for success in that office?

Marc:

I apologize. I was being purposefully hostile. I enjoy our exchanges - it's always interesting. Although, when I'm surrounded by hostility and not engaged in any sort of discussion, it's just too tempting to respond in-kind to some of these people. At the end of the day, it's all in fun anyway. I hope it is for you too.
