More to Sarah Palin Than Meets the Eye

There's steel behind that beautiful smile that Democrats belittle at their peril.

She walked out onto the stage in Dayton, Ohio with a smile that could light up Toledo — and Youngstown, Canton, and Akron besides. Welcoming her to the national spotlight, a huge smile creased John McCain’s face as he gave her an affectionate peck on the cheek and looked at her as a father might see a daughter on her wedding day.

There was just a little bit of the Cheshire cat in McCain’s grin — a slyness that bespoke the realization that he had just changed the dynamics of the presidential race again. And for a man who had just finished enduring four days of being pummeled as a George Bush clone, he looked remarkably upbeat.

Despite everything the Democrats could throw at him, and despite the fact that Barack Obama gave a generally well received speech watched by a quarter of the TV audience in America, McCain did the one thing he had to do to knock Obama’s stemwinder of an address off the front pages: he surprised the media.

The media love to be surprised. They love telling us they’re surprised. They love looking at each other on cable TV panels and telling each other they were surprised. Surprise is drama. Surprise is excitement. Surprise is the one thing the media never expected from John McCain, which — obviously — is why they were surprised in the first place.

Should they have been? Some on the left are calling McCain’s choice a “Hail Mary Pass” — a desperation heave following Obama’s supposed game changing speech in front of 80,000 screaming partisans at Invesco Field and 39 million Americans at home the night before. But in the end, McCain had two choices: play it safe and pick a Romney or Pawlenty, or take a shot downfield and choose Palin.

Not a Hail Mary, to continue the football analogy. More like calling a pass on 4th and one — high risk, high reward.

And partisans at Dayton’s Nutter Center didn’t have long to wait to see the reward part. After a slow, somewhat wooden start, Palin warmed to her task and by the time she reached the peroration of her speech, the crowd was ready to explode:

It was rightly noted in Denver this week that Hillary left 18 million cracks in the highest, hardest glass ceiling in America. But it turns out the women of America aren’t finished yet and we can shatter that glass ceiling once and for all.So for my part, the mission is clear:

The next 67 days I’m going to take our campaign to every part of our country and our message of reform to every voter of every background in every political party, or no party at all.

If you want change in Washington, if you hope for a better America, then we’re asking for your vote on the 4th of November.

Meanwhile, back in Obamaland, the long knives came out, all prepared to give Sarah Palin a little taste of how the Obama campaign carves up opponents – when Obama’s people proceeded to stab themselves in the foot.

Barack Obama’s campaign is blasting John McCain for putting “the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency.”

The scathing description of Sarah Palin, from Obama spokesman Bill Burton, comes as Democrats scramble to gather a response to a selection that nobody in the political world expected.

Barack has already leveled vicious attacks on Sarah saying a woman, any woman is unfit for command. A point of view echoed by Reverend Wright, Barack’s pastor for twenty years.

Barack’s anti-woman stance evidenced by his refusal to give Hillary the courtesy of vetting her. Michelle today said that Hillary could take those 18 million votes and shove them.

Sarah Palin politely remarked, “John and I woiuld be happy to take them.”

Michelle then told her to talk to Barack. Most of the women are ugly. Michelle says, Barack’s campaign doesn’t want or need ugly women.

Sarah Palin is the change Obama spoke of, she seems to epitomize the frontier spirit. she is definitely all that and a bag of chips.

So, the claim is that Gov. Palin doesn’t have enough foreign policy experience. Well, if it’s really important for her, as the VP candidate, to have as much foreign policy experience as Barack Obama does, then I suppose she still has time to book a flight to Berlin and give a speech.

That should about catch her up.

I suspect the bambi campaign is in panic mode about now.
Biden will have a tough time debating Palin, he relies on his wise-acre mouth and sarcastic remarks to get by thinking he is clever.
Anything he says that can be construed as sexist will destroy him and her smarts will bury him on the issues.Word is, she is a very quick study and she is no shrinking violet as she proved yesterday, she was very comfortable behind that lectern.
She has more experience than obama where it counts, as an exec and the commander of the Alaska national guard.

Brilliant pick by JSM.

This race is over.

I’ve been waffling about voting at all – no chance I’d ever vote for all that INexperience in the Democrat camp… but I’ve never been a big fan of John McCain. NOW, with his choice of Sarah Palin and what I have read about her in the past 24 hours, I’m changing my mind and sending in my absentee ballot request…

The people of America want change? They should vote for McCain-Palin – in that twosome (as long as the Congress is also supportive of their ideas), they will get the change that young Americans have been screaming for – but in the right and experienced way!

The delightful irony of the whole thing is that for months Obama has been trying to be seen as the scion of change. Change what, no one knows but change. Then he picks Biden and you get about as a well entrenched Washington insider as possible.

McCain has hardly been seen as transformative despite the maverick image. It is he though that rocks the boat the most with picking Palin. For the first time the whole thing is actually interesting.

For the record it seems to cross Palin politically is dangerous. The woman knows no fear. And on the experience part…what elected executive position has Obama held? Has he even ever had to meet a payroll? To attack her as inexperienced is the worst thing they can do.

The Obama Camp says Palin is too inexperienced to be a heartbeat from becoming President?

You know the McCain camp is laughing as the average American hears that and asks inexperienced, a heartbeat away from being president or sitting in the oval office from day one, hmmm which should I choose?

If McCain wants to continue to in this positive manner his attack adds will highlight the lack of action by Pelosi and Reid on any of the issues they claimed needed change or reform. Let Obama slam him for it or force Obama to address the lack of action in congress. Whether McCain ’s election is a third Bush term is debatable but Congress without change is more arguably worse. Highlighting the Democrats inability to get along with Republicans could put MCain over the top and keep the status quo in the capital.

I think she has a great opportunity here in the debates. If Biden prattles on like he is known to do about his vastly superior knowledge of foreign affairs and other things she can nail him with a bunch of different arguments.

1. You are part of the problem we have today. The same old same old.
2. I will shake things up in the Senate because you do only have a 14% approval rating.
3. I might even get the Senate working the way it should be.
4. Barry says we need hope and change….You Sir neither represent Hope or Change!!

This could be fun!!

Sarah Palin is a charmingly warm and wonderful woman with five beautiful kids and a great husband. She’s extremely bright, incredibly intelligent, honest, ran on a reform ticket, values life from conception, extremely astute politically.

Accepts the flurry of anti-female, anti-woman attacks by Barack Obama whose pastor of 20 years delivered vicious attacks on Hillary Clinton and women in general.

Baracks attack dogs are now trying to get their teeth in Sarah because this classy woman threatens them.

She’s pro-drilling. Obama isn’t.
She’s pro-surge. Obama deems it a failure.
She’s pro life. Obama wouldn’t even vote
to mandate the care of
baby born after a botched
abortion.

“Lets hope the media does not portray her as the female version of Dan Quayle.”

Why? I say let them pour their contemptuous, sneering, smug, hidebound, narrow-minded propaganda out on her. Not only will Palin respond forcefully to it, but the majority of the American public, albeit a slim one, is on to the MSM’s game of playing Pravda as if they were servile Soviet serfs.

America has truly had enough of both the MSM and the leftist political establishment’s game of manipulation, statism, and unprinicpled power-mongering.

This election is done. McCain-Palin.

Aug 30, 2008 - 7:49 am 22. L.Carlin:

Sarah Palin is up against by the “tolerant” Democrat Left. These are the same Obama cultists who tried to smear Stanley Kurtz and stop any investigation into the radical Marxist politics of Obama and his cozy personal and “professional” relations with terrorist Bill Ayers. This is going to get very dirty very quickly as the Obama supporters see The One self-destruct. These people were trained in Stalinist tactics by Saul Alinsky and it involves the destruction of any opposition. It is part and parcel of Ayers’ Weather Under Ground and their murderous bombing spree in the 60s and 70s. Obama represents a very ugly facet of American politics–the radical, Marxist Left. This radical element has been successful in infiltrating our educational institutions, the entertainment industry , the Civil Rights Movement and the media. They are totalitarian, angry and VERY dangerous. They will do and justify any tactic to achieve power. Now they have taken over the Democrat party and if their attempt to take over America appears to be failing, they will resort to VIOLENCE–violence of our Constitutional Rights; violence against someone as remarkable as Sarah Palin. When frustrated they WILL ACT OUT. Count on it.

Aug 30, 2008 - 8:12 am 24. T.M. Whitworth:

The dems and the msm better be very cautious of mocking Palin being from a small town. It is the voters in “small town America” that elect the presidents, but then Obama wouldn’t know that.

I can’t wait for the campaign ad where Ms. Palin takes off her glasses and shakes out her hair.

A moose-huntin’ commercial-fishin’ marathon-runnin’ basketball-playin’ pistol of a woman who’s not afraid of the old-boys’ network. Sarah Palin took on and beat the Republican political machine in Alaska, whereas Barack Obama is a creature of the Cook County political machine and all the creeps (Bill Ayers, the Daleys, Jeremiah Wright, Emil Jones) who infest it — the contrast couldn’t be more stark.

Biden will be as much an afterhought in this campaign as Lloyd Bentsen was during ‘88.

Aug 30, 2008 - 9:07 am 32. Good judgment?:

If this election about judgment, the choice of Sarah Pahin shows poor judgment on McCain’s part.
Any intelligent person knows when you choose to have unprotected sex at 43 you have a very high probability of having a child with Downs Syndrome. She used poor judgment not using birth control.
Would she use better judgment dealing with our economy?
Would she use better judgment dealing with our enemies?
I for one am not willing to take a chance on Pahin’s and McCain’s judgment.

Actually, as any intelligent person knows, the probability of a woman giving birth at age 45 to a child with Down’s syndrome is about 5.3%. You’d have to be a liberal to interpret that as “very high”.

Aug 30, 2008 - 10:25 am 37. Chuck Simmins:

I think the primary feature of the Palin / Biden contest will be her ability to force errors on the part of Biden. He talks too much. That is a recipe for error. He, with an ego the size of Alaska, will must assuredly underestimate Palin and his mouth will run away with him.

Last, when some creep sets himself (hell, it’s probably a herself) up in judgement over someone else’s choices in having children, said creep has full credentials as a wishful Stalin-in-waiting, and is not to be trusted nor given anything beyond an ‘offensive gesture’.

Don’t miss “dvd’s” link to Palin’s interview with Bartiromo.

I’ve heard more than one Dem say McCain made the pick based on one meeting with the woman. Not exactly true: he had two meetings with her. She spent time at McCain’s ranch.

But this 10minute interview tells you all you need to know. She sells herself.

“Good Judgment?” — I’m sorry you’re so shallow a person. One of the most wonderful things about Sarah Palin is that she will – with her life choices – show Americans a better way. Just as McCain with his selfless life choice to not accept early release from his prison camp has inspired Americans that doing the right thing is the better way.

Together they deserve the leadership of our great nation. America is on the right track now. Change is coming. Hope is alive. But it comes packaged as some never thought it might.

Somehow, I think McCain/Palin won’t need to criticize their opponents going forward.

All they need do is speak of the possibilities that lie ahead for us Americans. They’ll be inspirational instead.

And the continued joyless, sour-faced criticisms of America leveled by BO and Team will turn off anyone with a love of life and the potential for man.

Palin put the face on that. And has energized our nation. God bless her and McCain for having the wisdom to choose her.

So what you are saying “Mr. Good Judgment” is that a 43 year old woman can not have sex to procreate? How dare you? This is the exact type of “liberal” ideals that have been rejected and will be rejected on November 4. Same beltway garbage, same Obama garbage… The Republicans are changing, and the Demos are not….

Daniel: I do not want to see an inexperienced (139 days in the Senate) socialist be the actual President of the United States. Yes, Daniel you are being judgmental and prejudiced (the correct word) in all ways. You are being sexist to the extreme. You voted for Obama instead of Hillary because she is a “she”, didn’t you? Your candidate at the top of your ticket has NO EXPERIENCE except he took a trip and did not want to meet with the troops in the hospital unless they could make a press event out of it. Your candidate had to get someone on his ticket with the experience (Biden is not a good choice) he does not have.

McCain is a maverick and will continue to be that way. Obama is more of the same…..

Aug 30, 2008 - 2:07 pm 58. John Blake:

As we recall, Ronald Reagan was born in 1910 and became President at age 70 in 1981. If old war-marks don’t finish him 10 – 15 years before his actuarial expectancy, McCain will likely see a two-term Palin Presidency from 2017 to 2024, followed (we hope) by two terms of Bobby Jindal (2025 – 2032). Leaving office, Mde. Palin would be all of 60, Jindal a youthful 66; and since 1972, D-rat incumbencies would number three terms out of fifteen, a big one-in-five (20%).

At that point, pols with White House ambitions may realize that extreme-left D-rat denomination
severely limits prospects. If way-overdue 12-year Congressional term limits are in force (two Senate, six House), Joe Blow candidate may take the hint and leave D-rat associations to the wussified paperpushers/verbalizers so in evidence today.

America as an island of free-market opportunity, low-tax wealth, merit based Liberty and Justice for all– mooseburgers with Iron Dogs for lunch. Go get ‘em, Barracuda Baby!

Let me calm the fears of Elliot and certainly the overwrought Daniel.

Take it easy, boys. First of all, McCain has met with Sarah more than once. If you take the time to objectively study the achievements of Sarah versus Barry, it’s no contest.

Sarah could clean Barry’s clock. She should debate him.

Her answers to questions are direct and knowledgeable. No hemming or hawing which is the hallmark of Barry’s impromptu manner of communication. We can’t wait hours for his answers to simple questions. There’s too much work to be done. Sarah will be about cleaning up the corruption that too often tempts lesser men like Barry.

You see, when strong character and good judgment are on your side, the job is a snap. Sarah will have it down in no time.

Governor Palin sure seems capable of handling herself on the national stage given what I’ve seen so far. One can’t be certain but I’ll trust McCain’s judgment – he’s the one placing the bet, after all.

I see a tough road for Mr. First Dude, Todd Palin, and the rest of the family. I wouldn’t want that job. Snotty reporters will try to humiliate him at every turn, trying to get some damaging soundbite out of him. Porno fans are already searching for salacious photos of his wife. Seems like his first impulse will be to kick some butt but he’ll have to smile and walk quietly behind her.

However, most Americans will admire the family and see them as a exemplar. The MSM and Obama campaign will do everything possible to destroy them.

Hang tough, First Dude! Your country needs you.

Aug 30, 2008 - 2:47 pm 63. Evan:

Until yesterday, I never really considered McCain’s age and health as factor in my decision making. He could have picked so many other better qualified women who were either governors and senators. Today I question his judgement.

And I am now forced to factor in “inexperience” on the McCain side of the ledger. An issue that was not there before yesterday.

Aug 30, 2008 - 2:51 pm 64. cedarford:

Even without McCains age and cancer history, we are in a lull where we have had Presidents in reasonably good health and with continuity in office ever since Reagan getting shot….but if you look at the last 12 Presidents and a Sarah Palin type backup…3 VPs had to take over permanently.

In addition, there were failed assassination attempts on 4 others. Truman, Ford, Reagan, Dubya (someone threw a grenade at Bush in Georgia that landed 10 feet away from him, but failed to go off).

Also, 3 VPs had to become acting Presidents for reasonably long
periods of time, take the nuclear football…when Presidents became incapacitated.

Richard Nixon was acting President for almost two months after Ike’s massive 1955 heart attack. Then for about 4 days later, in ‘56, when Ike had a colon operation, then for 3-10 days depending on who discussed it – after Eisenhower suffered a moderate stroke in 1957.

LBJ was unable to do duties and Humphrey took over for 3 days when LBJ had emergency gall bladder surgery. And throughout LBJ’s time, he and his doctors feared any day could bring a new, massive heart attack like he suffered in the mid-50s. During his Presidency, LBJ suffered dehabilitating bouts of angina that left him unable to work for hours at a time.
Luck meant the 2nd “Big One” fortunately waited until LBJ was almost a year out of office, in late 1969. The 3rd one killed him in 1973.

Besides nearly dying in his 1981 shooting, Reagan was unable to fully work and execute his duties as President for almost 3 weeks. The public was not made aware of this until the 90s, and legal scholars say Bush I failed in his duty to trigger the 25th Amendment. Though he did later when Reagan was disabled for 1 1/2 days for a colon cancer operation.

And besides death, Nixon’s resignation from office, medical incapacitations, you had Clinton’s impeachment and the significant possibility that the VP would take over if the dynamics and polls had shifted against Clinton.

6 of the last 12 Presidents had VPs take over for them permanently or for an extended time. 3 others besides Reagan had the specter of the VP coming in if the assassin had been better…And Clinton and his impeachment makes for 10 of the last 12 Presidents where the fitness of the VP to take over was a matter that hit home with the public at certain times..

McCains Dad and grandfather died of heart attacks in their mid-70s. He has a history of getting through two lethal melanoma cancers – a condition though that doctors say unfortunately recurs in such patients with new lesions or “hides out” dormant for years then switches on again and spreads aggressively. Though McCain is in less and less risk of the latter as time goes by since the 2nd melanoma was cut out of his face and lymph glands. (Why his left cheek is so bulgy – glands for removing lymph fluid there are gone).

The unfortunate truth is that on top of McCains age and medical vulnerabilies, the last 65 years have shown that in 10 of 12 Presidencies VPs have taken over permanently or temporarily, or there was a significant risk to the President through assassination attempts or impeachment.

That Sarah Palin is ready to be President does not rest on the unlikely event she has to take over – but even outside Mccains high risk factors – the high probability (83.3%) she will have to take over for death, prolonged medical incapacitation, a resignation, or would have had to take over in a near-miss accident or assassination attempt…

But I would likely support just about anyone if it meant that nasty little creatures such as Ronnie were permanently kept away from any influence on society.

The most effective argument against Obama and his bizarre cult of personality ?

The cultists themselves. They revolt me on just about every level. How anyone can be so clueless and unpleasantly malicious, so profoundly, and so often is rather scary.

Wow.

Palin’s more man than Obama will ever be, and she’d prolly kick his scrawny butt at one-on-one, to top it off.

Aug 30, 2008 - 5:44 pm 68. beerstine:

Palin will be ultimately be judged and judged soon by how she responds to tough questions on unfamiliar issues in uncontrolled situations. She’s certainly got more going on than Quayle ever did in accomplishments, but there will lots of reporters out there (the kind that cheered Obama Thursday night) looking to take her down quickly.

If she handles it with strength and intelligence, McCain looks brilliant for looking outside the traditional Washington mentality and the election goes down to the wire. If she’s hesitant or makes on obvious gaffe, I fear McCain won’t recover. He will be defined by this choice.

Aug 30, 2008 - 6:04 pm 69. Chicago Lawyer & Mom:

I am so impressed about what I have been reading and hearing about Governor Palin. I am so thrilled with Sen. McCain’s choice and cannot wait to hear Governor Palin debate Joe Biden…I am sure she will do great! I am a former Hillary supporter a what very disappointed in the way she was treated by the dems and the media. However, that is not the reason that I am impressed by Governor Palin and will likely support her ticket. I just cannot warm up to Mr. Obama. He is all about words and rhetoric. Go Governor Palin…even for women who may not agree with your politics, you are a great role model for us all and our hats are off to you!

Aug 30, 2008 - 6:14 pm 70. fred:

John McCain has been inside of Obonga’s/Soros’ OODA Loop for some time now. Sarah Palin is not just another pretty face, as Sen. Biden is about to discover. In fact, she has more executive experience than Obonga. Also, ironic is the fact that the “executive” experience he cites (Chicago Annenberg Committee) in education “reform” is being challenged by a bit of entrepid investigative journalism – and the Obonga people are in a panic over that too. Once Americans discover what Obonga and Ayers were cooking up together (and the recipe was a failure)and how the money was ill-spent, they will conclude that The Golden Mouth is The Deceiver.

She would not have been selected if she was not a quick study. Sen. Biden’s record of judgment in foreign policy and defense matters is worse than ordinary. It’s abysmal, going back to the late seventies when he agreed with Carter to get rid of the Shah and install the Ayatollah Khomeini. How’d that one work out, Joe? He was wrong about the Pershing II’s in Europe, the defense buildup under Reagan, wrong about the Sandinistas in Nicaragua, wrong about the concept of missile defense under Reagan, continuing to be wrong about the missile defense shield, wrong about ejecting the Baathist army from Kuwait, and finally wrong about staying the course in Iraq. I think she has the discipline to not be thrown off by his snarky insults. In fact, if I did not despise him so much I would pity the man. BTW, even when I was a Democrat I didn’t like him.

Aug 30, 2008 - 6:22 pm 71. LisaP:

Sarah Palin will be kicking democrat butt from now until November. McCain made a brilliant choice, and I am so proud of him for showing such courage and foresight. We’ll look back on August 29, 2008 as the day Obama, the closet Muslim-outed Marxist, officially lost his fool’s bid for the presidency of this great nation (which the rest of us happen to love).

Sorry for the nitpick, but this is a pet peeve of mine. The Vice President and the Speaker of the House are, respectively, the number 1 and 2 people in line for the presidency. The President is not in line. He is already President.

Aug 30, 2008 - 7:48 pm 77. fred:

These have to be very frantic and nervous days for the Obama campaign and its marionette, Soros. First, they are desperately trying to shut down the Kurtz investigative work on Obama and Ayers at the Chicago Annenberg Committee project. All signs indicate that this is going to go forward. But the Obama people were flooding the Chicago radio station show where this was being discussed by Mr. Kurtz.

And now they are in a panic about the Palin selection for VPOTUS candidate. Again, the troops are out in force on all the weblogs (they even have Europeans in on the act) to bad mouth Mrs. Palin and try to dissuade the undecided.

The Jackasses expected to be coming out of Denver flying high in the polls, but the bounce was extremely minimal and now these things are requiring urgent, determined application of resources and manpower.

McCain is hanging in there. He IS inside Obama’s OODA Loop and chipping away. I am sure he appreciates the opportunities that being underestimated put before him. Soros and Obama really do not understand how military pilots are trained to think and respond. And if Obonga has trouble with McCain, imagine what people like Putin and Ahmadinejad would do to him?

Aug 30, 2008 - 8:23 pm 78. Marcia:

John McCain’s chance of dying because he is 72 is much less than someone 22 who smokes, drinks and is obese….not to mention he made it out alive after 5 years of torture in VietNam. And if he does? Palin is the next best thing and can really make change happen. Palin is an excellent choice and has more executive experience than all three of the other candidates put together. Many of us (including my husband and friends who are Democrats) have much more confidence in Palin than Obama. Obama is all talk, smoke and mirrors – Palin gets things done and fears nothing. For the first time we’re excited enough about the McCain-Palin Ticket that we’re actually doing everything we can to get the word out! (The problem for many isn’t inexperience – they can’t handle a woman having power and cleaning out the “white” house!)

You deserve the president you get. Unfortunately the rest of the world has to put up with it too.

Read a book and get educated before you post something like this next time!

I can’t remember any candidate, ever, being so unabashedly excited about getting the VP nod, and the American People, by and large, returning the favor. Most picks in the past, Biden’s included, generated at most a ho-hum. Controversy attached to Eisenhower’s pick of Nixon, so I’ve heard, but that had to do with Nixon’s take-down of Hiss. (Odd that 1952 was the last election before now when no incumbent Prez or VP was on the ballot).

But Nixon did not have the Charm of Sarah Heath Palin, the Smiling Barracuda Lady. I think this is an unknown candidate the Nation could very quickly fall in love with, and the burgeoning comments on Paj. Media tend mostly to go in that direction. Once Love hits, Its Game, Set, Match, and a New Era in American Politics will dawn.

Aug 30, 2008 - 10:42 pm 86. Bridget:

That miss congeniality crap may fly at pta meetings, but she is a candidate for the VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. She falls way short of the minimum requirements – but considering she’s running with a 72 year old with a history of cancer, I would hope that the scrutiny of ms palin is even more relentless. She doesn’t even appear to be qualified to be considered for the position – much less occupy it. The fact that McCain made a flip political decision makes it even worse. I think he better come up with a new campaign slogan because “Country First” just isn’t gonna cut it after this pick. You can’t – with any level of seriousness – compare the experience and qualifications of Joe Biden and Sara Palin.

Aug 30, 2008 - 11:47 pm 88. Tony USA:

Why is it taking so long to shake these guys (Obama and co.) down for what they are…Marxists with a twist. They want to destroy the founding principles of this country which promote freedom under God and a smaller non obtrusive federal goverment that carries a big stick and a legally armed public to fend off people like them who want to destroy it and take over. Marxists consider themselves the elite and are usually religiously atheistic (not a misnomer). Their religion is better for they are the gods and might makes right. Once in power they really take over and if you believe their propoganda its because its for your own good. Like our friend(?) “Selina” promotes we are “horrifyingly
stupid” and she forgot to mention “bitter” while clinging to our Bibles and guns. They have to put up with our stupidity till we are finally put down or see their light (darkness). Remember its “survival of the fittist” and since their is no God their is no higher power to answer to than themselves epecially if they carry the big stick and we are empty handed. Murder? There is no murder. This baby is not human even though we botched taking its life just put it in the utility closet till it stops moving and crying “chicago commie style”. No different if you are 5,12,25 or 80 years of age once they change the laws. If you are a dissenter you “disappear”. Yeah there is also that other element too and seemingly opposite because in the “name of Allah” people are murdered by the multitudes (jihad) and they want to take over too and stomp on our freedom and either we convert or be murdered. They are already in our country as is the atheistic marxists who are entrenched in our public education system and federal goverment “dumbing down the nation”. The third element which has grown in this country is paganistic headonism where idols abound and materialism and pleasure is number one. Resistance is futile to the above if your asleep in the third element. Low morality or no morality here as long as you can change the church doctrine and change who God is or change the civil law to say wrong is right and right is wrong or cry civil rights abuse when in reality you ARE acting immoral period. “But I’m not hurting anyone except if you get in my way and besides I now can come into the public schools and teach my lifestyle and others forms like it to your children as normal and right.” Barrak Hussien Obama and co. though is different breed of marxist because he seems to be a hybrid of all three. Not that I expect him to “blow up” people (I could be wrong) but the muslim element is strongly there and not just in name but along with the harsh “anti-American” heart felt sentiments and a history that shows he never really changed his religion but took a side step into “liberation theology” and called himself a “christian” for political purposes. Sarah Palin? I’m glad she energized McCain’s campaign but will she be gutsy enough to wake up the nation? McCain did not appeal at all but was made to look very appealing as the horrific truth of who Barrack Hussien Obama is started to come out. A lot of people though are still in the dark about him and others sense the empty front he’s giving and don’t trust him not knowing the real baggage of goods he’s bringing. Scary enough there are many who are drinking the Kool-aid with glazen eyes saying the mantra, “Change” not knowing really knowing what he means. Some do and will lie and misrepresent themselves and him to get the man into office. Liberals try to hide under the new name they try to make over themselves with “Progressive”. “Change” is nothing but the old commie adage “Revolution!”.

Aug 31, 2008 - 12:47 am 89. Cole:

Campaigning for governor, Palin was FOR the “Bridge to Nowhere”

Would you continue state funding for the proposed Knik Arm and Gravina Island bridges?

Yes. I would like to see Alaska’s infrastructure projects built sooner rather than later. The window is now–while our congressional delegation is in a strong position to assist.

(Anchorage Daily News 10/22/06)

She’s proud of being the Commander in Chief of Alaska’s National Guard, but told Alaska Business Monthly “I haven’t really focused much on the war in Iraq, I heard on the news about the new developments…”

Shouldn’t the commander in chief try to be as up to date on issues that will effect her troops from day one?

And whether you think she was right to fire Walter Monegan or not, what about the guy she replaced him with? On June 11th she appointed Chuck Kopp, thinking he had been cleared of sexual harassment charges, only to find out on June 22 that he had actually been reprimanded. Wouldn’t you expect a commander in chief to be absolutely certain she had all the information before filling an important position?

And even if you think there’s nothing wrong with that, he was “in office” 13 days and received a $11,000 severance package. Do you really think that’s fiscally responsible? For info on all this, see the Anchorage Daily News 7/24/08 and Gov. Palin’s own website.

And that gas pipeline she’s so proud of? Do you know it’s being built and maintained by Transcanada? That’s a CANADIAN company, so the transportation (and revenue from that transportation) will be in the hands of a foreign-owned company. Not to mention the $500 million she’s making Alaska contribute to the project. See the Washington Post for details.

I could possibly see voting for McCain if he were running with Libby Dole, who has experience as Secretary of Labor and Secretary of Transportation, Kay Bailey Hutchison, or even Gov. Rell of Connecticut (now THERE’S someone who’s willing to stand up to the establishment).

By the way, I realize this won’t change a single one of your minds. I know you are all extatic with McCain’s choice…but believe me, so am I. So is EVERY person who was planning on voting for Obama.

If you happen to be a woman and you aren’t absolutely offended by this attempt to sway your vote by putting a woman on the ticket JUST to have a woman on the ticket, then you need to do some serious soul searching.

Let’s say John McCain wins in November, and something DID happen to him. Would you really want Sarah Palin to be president? Do you really think it would help women get elected in the future if she made a major mistake as President? She would set the women’s movement back 100 years.

And somebody’s comapring her to Nixon? NIXON? Is that really a comparrison you WANT to make? With her ALREADY involved in an ethics scandal?

And seriously, folks, this rumor about her lying about her youngest really being her daughter’s baby sounds ABSOLUTELY CRAZY…but take a look at Bristol in the family photo on the Anchorage Daily News website:

http://www.adn.com/news/alaska/story/339587.html

You know, I just remembered Obama’s close ties to Ayers so blowing up people for the sake of “revolution” is not so far fetched with him after all. They want to bring down this country.

Palin: We don’t know her pastor Obama: Jeremiah Wright
Palin: Clearly a patriot Obama: Bill Ayers

The Obama campaign turned down the attack on Palin because when you attack Palin for lack of experience you attack Obama as well. If she is a token woman he is a token black. McCain selected her and the press selected Obama.

Go against her for being Miss Congeniality years ago. Yeah, you have a grasp of the important issues. /sarc off

She’s physically and mentally tough. Plays and wins a championship basketball game on a fractured ankle, hunts moose, was a commercial fisherman, goes after corruption in her own party (has Repub scalps to prove it), files ethics complaint against Repub attorney general with Dem support (more working across the aisle), fights and beats an incumbant governor in a primary, and gets a bad cop and his protector off the state police force.

What has Barry done. Embraced the corrupt chicago political machine, worked hand-in hand with a terrorist, all his campaigns and his house is financed by a corrupt and now convicted land developer, used sleazy tactics to rid himself of any compitetion in an election (Hillary included), and his spiritual mentor, whose church he has gone to for 20 years, is an anti-american rascist (one of Barry’s autobiography is named after one one Wright’s lectures).

Put metro-boy in a cage fight with Palin and she will end the election in seconds.

Compare to Biden? A bigger joke. He is a total political hack for over 35 years. His two brain anuerysms aren’t the cause for his idiotic bloviating, he is just natually arrogant and loves the sound of his own voice. You should have researched some of his questioning during judicial committee hearings. The only proper response to his questions are “Was there a question, Senator?”. He wouldn’t have time to answer because he already used it in his original brain spasm. He is a lightweight political insider with no clue how bad he will get his duff kicked in a debate.

I was a little upset at first with his pick. I started reading about her and I am energized and excited. I commend John McCain for picking this woman. I think Obama better watch it because we are voting between him and McCain and the fact that he has very little experience should be remembered by all. As Hilary Clinton says, all he has is a speech. McCain-Palin is change we can believe in. I am so fired up and excited. Thanks McCain.

I have already heard people criticizing her for being a mother of a special needs child and who is going to care for these children. They never ask men this question. I think woman may vote for her out of anger because no one stood up for Clinton when all this sexism stuff was going on. Apparently the Dems have not learned. Even Clinton was praising John’s choice. This is an interesting race and I am so proud to be a part of it.

Aug 31, 2008 - 11:16 am 99. ReCon USMC:

Fore those that say Sarah Palin doesn’t have enough experience you hear in the media and from team Oboma already must have not researched her previous 12 years .You never heard them say (lack of experience )about Oboma since he has been praised for 19 months”ready to serve as President … really ? How about some real facts .
Sarah Palin actually has more ‘Elected time’ in office than does Obama . Plus she ran a business Obama has never done any of the three . A community organizer can’t compare on the Streets of Chicago with her leadership background .
You made the same “decisions’ in small town or Governor of Alaska in America as you do in NY City or The Governor of California . The numbers are just different plus 67 % of all Americans live in small cities”who vote ” . You Know , Those Gun Totting , Bible caring Rust belt middle class Americans .
Her Voter confidence base in Alaska is a whopping 79 % while Congress is a lowly 9 % .
Mr Obama as a Freshman Senator has had approximately 22 months in the Senate and has been running for President for 19 of those Months . As a Mayor and Governor she made more decisions on Budgets , balancing the books, hiring those in command in three months than any Senator ever does in years. Palin also is in charge of their National Guard .
Congress has group Committees and holds countless hearing that made decisions along with the president .
But as a Governor and Mayor you are the soul decision maker . Sarah Palin also got rid of 300 “spending tax payer moneys programs “. lowered taxes and actually has a budget surplus already in Alaska . She also openly declared War on “” Corruption no matter who was Corrupt “”in Government . Hardy a Washington thing ever unless it the other party “maybe wrongs “we see currently. This past Congress passed the least amount of important Bills ever and we still don’t have a energy bill .
Sarah Palin has put three bills on energy and fought (sued )President Bush on not drilling where Polar bears live since the population of Polar Bears has grown 31 in Alaska the last 20 years .
Again She cut the Size of Government in Alaska and cut taxes there and gave the citizens a rebate of $1,200.00 already which is beyond amazing .
Obama and the Delaware mouth want to increase the size Government programs greatly while raising your taxes as well . She and Mac are as different as night and day in comparison to team Obama .
Any women or man from either party or a middle of the road voter seeing her yesterday along with her speech and common sense words had to compare her with queen Hillary and the anointed one elite Obama save the world words .

Lastly she has never been or is involved with no one that hates America , racial Socialist bordering on Marxism , convicted felon Tony Revco’s , Nut head Catholic Priest , hate filled Rev Wrights in her previous 20 years , Communist Frank Marshall Davis from Obama’s youth , underground weatherman Bill Ayers or hangs out with Hollywood anti Americans . She is the true American dream if there ever was one and there is indeed one .
Ya did good Mac .
I rest my case .

I agree, the race is over. But we still need to get folks to vote. McCain’s selection gave me hope and changitudiness, but we can’t give up. Vote November 4th.

I really didn’t get the Chris Matthews, I’ve got a tingle up my leg comment and all the breathless, dreamy eyed stares the liberal socialists have been walking around with because I simply don’t get what makes socialism and big government so appealing after it’s obvious failings and human abuses around the globe.

But, now that we have our own rockstar, Sarah Barracuda, I’m starting to get it. I don’t think the “tingle up my leg” comment is appropriate here but certainly I’m breathless and dreamy eyed.

Now we can match the Obambi/JoeBlow ticket for unabashed enthusiasm with one small differece, we don’t have to hold our nose and wear rose colored glasses in our dreamy eyed, breathless state! I think I’ll go get a “Sarah Barracuda” tattoo! McCain/Palin – P.O.W./W.O.W

This lady, Sarah Barracuda, spoke on TV recently, and I noticed that she pronounced the names Iran like ai-ran, and Iraq like ai-rak The right pronunciation is [ee-r-Ah-n] and [ee-r-Ah-k]. That means she has never heard these popular words from the commenters, politicians and experts on TV.
What kind of political leader can she be? She is just a housewife! Congratulations America!

Well, it’s no wonder Obama despises women. He’s a Muslim born, Kenyan American. Islam spread in Africa by subjugating the natural leadership of women.

It’s ironic how northern US blacks are so into Obama — most of them think southern blacks (Bamas) are dumb and African born blacks are dirty.

You people keep making the sarcastic comments about Barack Obama’s experience. You should remmember that several Senators have said they pushed him to run for President because they were so impressed with how he handled his role in the Senate and Jim Leach a longtime leader in the Republican party has said that even though he likes McCain a lot, he endorsed Barack Obama because after watching him in action, he was just what the country needs. Keep pounding the message, but there will be enough people out there who know that will come right back with a different take on his background.

Sep 1, 2008 - 5:13 am 110. Zirc:

1) McCain gets the woman that Obama seriously desired, but couldn’t pull off because of Hillary. Obama couldn’t choose Hillary because he’d be faced with Bill’s sweaty socks on his desk smoking his daily cigar. He couldn’t choose another woman as it would just further piss-off the Hillary supporters.

2) Change you can believe in? MCain just shoved that one down Obama’s throat. McCain totally breaks the glass ceiling; he gets someone who is not tainted with Washington, but has executive experience. Meanwhile, Obama is stuck with a 35 year political hack – who is going to serve as Obama’s daddy and mentor while he’s in office. Looks like more of the same to me.

3) Palin looks great by all accounts:

a) Age 44, mother of five. Youngest son is a Downs baby. When offered to abort, she chose to hang on to the child.

b) Life-long NRA member. Gets up a 3 AM to hunt moose, and then goes to school afterwards. Strong, strong 2A supporter.

c) Obviously pro-life, but doesn’t wrap it up in a bunch of personal religion.

d) Youngest son in the Army, heading to Iraq – she’ll be in the same position thousands of Moms are with a child at-risk in a war zone.

e) With 20 months as Governor (an executive position, no less) she trumps Obama’s 143 days in the Senate (a legislative, group-think position.)

f) She’s already cleaned up a bunch of Republican corruption in Alaska – has broken away from the good-ol’ boys club.

g) She’s for drilling more Alaska oil.

h) U. of Idaho grad. Probably one of the more conservative universities in existence in the U.S. Not likely to be tainted by far-left, liberal, education world.

g) A fiscal conservative. Doesn’t believe in Washington handouts. When Ted Stevens (R-AK) tried to bring in pork for a big bridge project, she said, “We can build our own bridges in Alaska.”

4) What’s not to like? She’s young, attractive, speaks well, family oriented.

5) I can’t wait until the VP debates. This is gonna be a hell of a show.

Sep 2, 2008 - 4:25 am 112. Kent:

I predict that Palin will “resign” as the VP candidate by mid-September for “family reasons.” As an Obama supporter, I absolutely love this pick because it will totally derail McCain’s candidacy, as well it should. As an American, I am horrified that this inexperienced oaf has ANY chance to gravitate to the most powerful office in the world.

Sep 2, 2008 - 8:32 am 113. James Beam:

I’m waiting.

Waiting to hear any liberal apologize for the smears and lies they told about Ms. Palin, her youngest son, and her daughter. But they won’t apologize, despite their claims of being so sensitive to the wants and needs of others.

Oh, and Sarah doesn’t have more experience than Biden — she has more relevant on-the-job experience than Obama, and she’s more accomplished.

Oh c’mon, this is just embarassing. This woman should never have been put on the ticket as VP. It makes me wonder about McCain’s judgement. Maybe he has gone a little senile. “Unfortunately the rest of the world has to put up with it too.”

And why is that, Selina? Maybe because after 200 years of Americans selecting Presidents, we have become the most powerful nation on the Earth.
Co-ink-see-dink? I think not.
Maybe if the rest of the world got rid of their despots, tyrants and dictators, Then who POTUS was wouldn’t matter. Every think about that?
I didn’t think so.

Carlin, then don’t vote for her. Those that do like her will vote for her. It’s called an ‘election’ and the one with the most votes wins.
McCain selected Sweet Sara because he thought A). She would help him win ( get more votes, see the above) B). She will carry out his agenda if something fatal happens to him.

If you have a problem with that, vote. I, like many other people, have a problem with Ohhhh…..BAMA and his Marxist agenda. I WILL vote against him, just as I would vote against any Marxist running for office.
So on November the 4th, we will count the votes. That is when the issue of who has better judgment will be settled. Remember that is what the Presidential elections are about. Judgment. Decision making.
The First decision any potential President makes is who will be the VP. Those that think Joe “the bloviator” Biden was the better decision will be inclined to vote for Ohhhh….BAMA, those that think Sara “I eat what I kill” Palin was the better decision will be inclined to vote for McCain.
Granted, there are many other factors involved, but the VP selection is unique in that it gives voters a peek at the sort of decision they can expect from their potential Commander in Chief.

Palin is a “breath of fresh air” into this fiasco of an election we have. She has more to offer than a radical Obama ever would. He is someone that is one heck of a speaker and can grab your attention and hold it. He did it to me for awhile but not anymore. Coming from a small town, Union member and an avid hunter/outdoorsman, this Sara Palin speaks our language. So to all of the hunters, small town country folks and the 2nd Ammendment pistol packing, blue collar, red blooded Americans-Vote McCain/Palin so our children can enjoy the same things us country folk have.

Wake up people… Do your research. This McPain ticket will never happen! I am more concerned about all of the people that would actually vote for this ticket. As a Canadian, voting in your election is obviously not an option. I must say this to my neighbouring American friends, “I, along with many, many other fellow Canadians, are so very proud of John McCain for choosing Sarah Palin as his VP pick.” We are known as passive here in Canada, however, we are not, I repeat not pushovers for our Government and policies that we believe are wrong, wrong, wrong. With John McCain and Sarah Palin, Americans will once again restore America to it’s Glory by way of strength, honesty, integrity and comapassion. We would love to have this pair running our Country, which we love, as then we too could once again return to the Country we once were “before” we had our own “ObamaFlops.” God Bless you all and God Bless your America.

She had an affair while married , while in labour she flew 8 hours putting her baby in jeopardy,
doesn’t believe in science, global warming and

OK,ALOT OF PEOPLE OUT THERE ARE SAYING THE ONLY REASON THAT SARAH WAS PICKED WAS BECAUSE SHE IS A WOMEN (A BEAUTIFUL ONE AT THAT).WELL THE ONLY REASON THAT OBAMA WAS SELECTED ( BY OPRAH )WAS HE IS BLACK. THE OBAMA CAMP NEEDS TO WATCH OUT FOR WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT THE TEENAGE PREGNANCY BECAUSE A MAJORITY (I SAID MAJORITY NOT MINORITY)OF THE PEOPLE THAT SUPPORT OBAMA HAVE CHILDREN OR HAD CHILDREN AS A TEEN AND SOME HAD NOT EVEN HIT THIER TEENS YET.THE BIG PLUS TO THE PREGO THING IS SARAHS DAUGHTER KNOWS WHO HER BABYS DADDY IS (SORRY MARUY).I THINK SOME OF OBAMA SUPPORTERS THINK THE MORE KIDS THEY HAVE MEANS MORE OF OUR MONEY THEY WILL GET TO FIND OUT WHO THIER BABYS DADDY IS OR TO SIT THIER BUTTS ON A COUCH, IN A CAR SITEN ON 22″S(THAT ARE MORE THAN LIKELY STOLEN) WITH THIER BLING, BLING JUST WAITING ON THAT CHECK TO COME IN THE MAIL.NOW I BELIVE IN A HAND UP BUT DON’T BELIVE IN HAND OUT’S(FOR YEARS AND YEARS).

I am excited about John McCain’s pick for the Vice President Govenor Sara Palin. We need more peoplelike them in Congress that are honest, trustworthy and their word means something. It seems to me that the other side has done everything to discredit her but from everything I have read, I like her more and more.

Sep 8, 2008 - 1:50 pm 130. Noah NJ:

Sara Palin. She believes in abstinence only sex education. her underage daughter is pregnant. Well done.

also remember that mccain palin want to overturn roe v wade. so when a dad gets his 12 year old daughter pregnant, giving her unborn child hepatitis C, and it is discovered the baby will have downs syndrome, she’ll have to have it. NO CHOICE.

anyone who votes for her doesn’t care about the issues, or is only doing it because they are brainwashed by the religious right.

Remember ladies, you won’t get beat if you vote for Obama, there are privacy curtains.

and by the way, being governor of alaska does not qualify you for anything except being the governor of alaska.

Linda Montgomery: “It seems to me that the other side has done everything to discredit her but from everything I have read, I like her more and more.”

what has the other side said? and what have u read that makes u like her? your just another moron with an opinion based on….. what exactly? that she has a vagina?

Sep 8, 2008 - 6:17 pm 131. Mat-Su Valley Alaskan (that's Wasilla/Palmer area):

Please read the article at the below link. All of it. Don’t skip over any
of it. http://tinyurl.com/6zetn4

That article is the best I have seen, with an accurate portrayal of the real Sarah Palin. It is not the same as Anne Kilkenny’s email (see google), although the article mentions it. It contains more information, from more people. It is important.

As an Alaskan with no personal axe to grind about Sarah Palin, it still sickens me that the only view the nation has been getting is skewed because
of our fear of speaking out. But I have seen firsthand what a mess Sarah
Palin has made of Wasilla, and the devastation she has caused to lives
and/or careers of people who have tried to stand up to her conniving
manipulations.

Having lived in this area for most of my time here for over two decades, I
can also attest to the fact that so much of what GOOD she takes credit for
now, she did NOT actually do.

For example:
The same Ethics Reforms she now takes credit for were completely written
and drafted by Alaska Representatives Les Gara (D), Harry Crawford (D),
Berta Gardner (D), and Senator Hollis French (D). These Ethics Reforms were actually BLOCKED for two years by Alaska Republicans. See this from Alaska State Legislature Released October 17, 2006, NEARLY TWO MONTHS BEFORE Sarah Palin took office:
http://tinyurl.com/ethreform
Sarah Palin took office as Governor on December 4, 2006.

Sarah Palin also did not “create” the natural gas pipeline. It was Gov.
Frank Murkowski who laid the groundwork for that natural gas pipeline she
now takes credit for. Look at this business article dated 2004:
http://tinyurl.com/frankmurkgas

And it was largely Frank’s daughter, Sen. Lisa Murkowski, who has continued
her father’s work and helped push things through to where they are now:
http://tinyurl.com/lisamurk

I am no great fan of either Frank or Lisa Murkowski, but facts are facts.
Sarah Palin is just being Sarah Palin, and taking credit for it all now. That is what she does: tests the political air, and adjusts her public views to fit. Her private motivation is simple: POWER and FAME, at any cost.

The “Bridge to Nowhere” bit she touts is a sneaky deception. Sarah Palin
DID VERY strongly promote the bridge, until it became unpopular to do so.
Ever the consummate politician, she quickly shifted her position to align
with the political winds, and began claiming she was against the bridge. That is finally all starting come out in the media, thank God. But guess what: Here’s a little more info for the terminally uninformed: SHE KEPT THE MONEY ANYWAY for other pet projects here in Alaska. That money
WAS NEVER RETURNED to the Federal Government. Of course, that little tidbit of info is simply left unmentioned. I don’t know about you, but in my book, deception is a lie, plain and simple.

For those women who “identify” with her “I’m an average mother and hockey
mom” bit — even her own husband, Todd (he should know), says about Sarah,
“She’s not wired normal.” Well no kidding. Would YOU, or any normal mother, EVER consider conceiving at 44 years old and carrying to term a Down Syndrome baby as a means to political heroism, knowing full well that if you play the part just right, even down to the Big Secret and carefully-planned Surprise Announcement, this will finally catapult you into the national spotlight you have craved your whole life? Then, devoid of any maternal instinct, and callous to the incredible amount of time, love, and close interaction that such a helpless and special child requires, shifting the infant like a sack of potatoes off onto other people to raise because you’d rather CALL yourself a Mom than actually BE one?? Parading as some sort of “evidence” or “prize” this 4-month-old infant on a stage with deafening music and loudspeakers without providing any kind of ear protection for that little baby? Pushing your children so far down your priority list, that after your love-starved daughter seeks that missing love elsewhere and gets pregnant (like her own mother’s shotgun elopement – 7 months and 21 days between marriage and FULL TERM first son’s birth, folks), you make the irresponsible decision to expose your daughter and her sex life to the national spotlight because she, as everything and everyone else, must take a backseat to your ambition. If THIS is what being a “mother” means to Sarah Palin, then I do NOT-NOT-NOT!!! identify with her.

And “average”? With Todd and Sarah Palin’s net worth investments of over
$9 MILLION, wouldn’t most of us just love to be so average. The hypocrisy is stupefying. But the “average” lie sure plays well to the gullible.

Firing the personal chef and driver? The chef is because most working governors don’t have time to cook, and it’s safer to BE driven while you’re using Blackberry, talking on the phone, etc. She wants you to believe that the salary of ONE OR TWO state employees is consequential to the state budget. It’s not. But it sure is a convenient way to put a positive spin on the fact that you cannot afford for outsiders in your home to get (and talk about) a little too much real-life knowledge about your family and you??

Religion? A convenient camouflage for someone who lies outright when plain
distortion of the truth is insufficient; who uses people including her own
children, and then throws them to the wolves like so much garbage; who wears Motherhood like a lapel pin but doesn’t practice it; who herself became pregnant 5 weeks before her elopement with Todd; who moves her family from church to church depending on the winds of what is “politically beneficial” (the Pentecostal Church they attended during the time Pentecostalism was very popular in Alaska, was abandoned by Sarah Palin ONLY when that denomination fell out of mainstream popularity here); who steals other peoples’ work and ideas and then takes credit for it; who abuses her position of political power both for vengeance and for personal
gain; the list goes on. How many Commandments??? Only she could say for
sure, if it mattered to her. If THIS is what being “god-fearing” means to
Sarah Palin, then I do NOT-NOT-NOT!!! identify with her.

The “80% approval rating in Alaska” is pure B.S. We are NOT all that stupid or blind. It’s more a matter of only 20% of us being stupid enough to disagree and speak out. For in Alaska, if you disagree with the Palin
regime, that’s what you are: stupid. I have no doubt that I will pay for
this somehow. But I’ve got “lipstick” too… By the way, Sarah stole that
joke from John Haggee without giving credit, only his original compared a
Doberman to a woman with PMS. Google it. Same joke.

If John McCain gets elected, I will pray many times daily for his continued
good health. If Sarah Palin is in any position of national power, I have no doubt that America could be facing the equivalent of a female antichrist or an American Hitler. Don’t believe it? What, do you think Hitler first won his way into the hearts and souls of Germany by showing them initially what an S.O.B. he was?? Nope. It was his incredible chameleon charisma that blinded them, during an extremely vulnerable time in their history. Sound familiar? Please, don’t close your eyes. Don’t even blink. We cannot afford to.

If you haven’t yet read the articles at the links here, especially the first one, please do it now. Knowledge is power. And voting without knowledge is dangerous. http://tinyurl.com/6zetn4

I guess some people forget about how kingdoms fell and rose with the woman as an ambassador, advisor, and ruler. Sarah Palin is capable and anyone who says power is no place for a woman needs to do some history research. Women have even taken over their husbands role while recuperating from ilness and their decisions were sound and a benefit to the people.

Maybe it is time to allow someone with experience to lead rather than Obama’s 173 days. Plus Obama was put into office by Richard Daly Jr.’s influence. I think it is time to get corruption out of government and let someone pure influence decisions.

Sarah Palin Is not just pretty on the outside. She has a natural command about her. If I were a foreign leader and had a sit down the the Vice president of the United States I would listen to what she has to say. She would not only represent the President of The United States she also represents the people and communicates that in a way Biden could not.
When it comes to foreign policy the best one can hope for is communication between the policy makers. Sarah Palin has that ability. And my vote. John

I dont know why everybody wants to talk about palin and inexperience in the same sentence but who are you top judge her? She is just as much as experienced as obama or anybody else! just because she doent have 12 books out like obama does about his life and how it was so hard growing up and this and that dosent mean she is in experienced!! books doesnt make a person, it just means that he is conceded and only thinks about him, the only real reason why he even wants presidency is probley so he can writ yet another book about his life!! and hes a liar!! did you not watch the presidential debate? palin quoted some of the things obama said and that he admitted too but biden wants to lie and say that he never said that!! when it is in black and white all over papers everywhere!! their just a bunch of liars!! and to say that he isnt muslim, hello, BAACK HUSAINE OBAMA!! open your eyes fellow americans were this close to electing a muslim president who lies and doesnt know his ass from a whole in the ground!! wake up!!

It’s amazing that so many people spew such hatred for Palin on one hand and then praise the “all mighty one” Obama. I’m not willing to give up my personal freedoms so easily. One of the comments was “Obama will bring transformation” to this country. You are right socialism – communism – facism is definitely a transformation. My grandfather -a Dutch Jew- survived Auschwitz, the death march, to later be tortured and executed at Mauthausen C.C. Hitler at first presented himself as a socialist!! People didn’t listen then and I fear history will repeat itself.
