My arguments don't need backup, they are pretty straight forward. You guys (and gals) can't deal with simple statements. Learn how to read. Thank you for the "wonder" compliment . . . "gutless" to you means "not spilling useless paragraphs to explain the obvious".

I'll wager he can back up his args better than you can.

P.S. I notice that the polls are indicating that McCain's use of truthful information about Obama's past relationships is causing him to gain in the polls.....not that I trust such in the first place, but I notice a lot of Obama supporters have been crowing about them in the prior week.

Mr. McGill,

You leave me confused. To begin with, "negative" isn't a term marketing people use. And marketing people are the ones who decide campaign strategies.

Even if you called them attack ads, you'd still be off because simply to attack isn't a strategy.

A strategy takes into account things like strong points and weaknesses and rates them. Then on the basis of influences like cash on hand, personality of the candidate, strong and weak points, and other factors that influence the voters' decisions, a marketing person decides what message you're going to run with.
The marketing person decides how to get your message out. Marketing people tell media people what to do like they tell polling people what to poll based on what the marketing team wants to know.

In the beginning, McCain needed in my professional opinion, a proprietary message.
One only McCain could say. For example, anybody could say, "change", but only McCain could say something like "Duty, Honor, Country."

With just days left till election, the McCain strategy should be a weaving of reasons why McCain should be President with reasons Obama shouldn't. To tie the marketing package with a bow, you need to explain the horrible consequences of an Obama Presidency versus the benefits of a McCain Presidency.

It all may not be rocket science, but there are marketing experts who know how to run a campaign, at least the rest of McCains. Trouble is, I don't think they're working on McCain's campaign.

Instead of a 700 billion bailout to banks, for example, McCain could announce a million dollar handout to every person on our tax rolls. That would be a strategy, perhaps even a winning strategy.

I don't want to sound pompous, but I know what I'm talking about. I'm the one marketing people come to when they don't know what to do.

People who depend on campaign ads for information about their candidates are not exactly taking their civic responsibility seriously anyway. But ads do usually have a meta-message, and McCain's ads tell me, again and again, that he's a POW, that he's maverick-y (though I'm not sure why or how), and that he has no actual new ideas except "let's play the association game and see if that works since nothing else does." I'd love to know specifically about his economic ideas for helping us out of this mess. I know he has lots of 'em, since this week we're about to hear his third plan--or is it his fourth?-- for rescuing the economy. I just don't know which one is supposed to be the one he'll stick with.

I do hope McCain and Palin keep hammering on Ayers being BFF with Obama, and throw in a little Rev. Wright for good measure, since that tactic is working so well. Maybe then we'll start hearing a lot more about Palin's connections with the AIP, and the Keating scandal, and maybe since we're on board the Wayback Machine, his confessions as a POW and his multiple plane crashes and his affair while married. I don't actually give a crap about any of that, but that's how the game is played.

And we do know the MSM controls everything, what with that Republican guy running the country for the past eight years and being such a huge success at it. (What was his name again? It's been so long since we've heard from him, I forget.)

I suppose McCain could do something idiotic like tell us some specific, detailed plans for dealing with the massive challenges ahead, but apparently the attack team he hired that trashed his campaign in 2000 doesn't roll that way. So I look everywhere for information, including places like this. Alas, none to be found here either, just more frothing and gnashing of teeth.

Now, back to those entertaining YouTube videos of the Alaska Independent Party....those are some wild and crazy guys! No wonder Sarah and Todd like them so much.

Give me a break! The MSM is biased because you people NEED it to be biased all so you can feed the delusion that the USA is still conservative. It's not - the majority has moved beyond small town values. I'm not saying that's a good thing, per se, but the polling reflects that.

Truth: the views I read on PJMedia are far more extreme (and frequently hateful) than anything I see on CNN or CBS or ABC or NBC. MSNBC is the Obama channel - Fox is the McCain channel. You guys own talk radio, liberals own the Internet.

If you could stop feeling sorry for yourselves and re-enter the mainstream, national debate, maybe your views would reach some people. Instead, you hang out in this little forum and complain about how everyone is out to get you.

The majority of MSM is a reflection of popular opinion. If you isolate yourselves, you have no way to enter the discussion and you seal your fate as completely irrelevant.

No media has ever been "truthful" or "unbiased". Since it's all opinion, what's the big deal?

Obama's possilbe cheating his way into office (with the help of the MSM) is going to undo at least 40 years of progress between the races. The truth will become evident should B.O. become POTUS. I predict, if he should win...he will be fastest POTUS to be IMPEACHED in history. Join B.J. in infamy. There is just too much being held back by the MSM, when the dam breaks, B.O. will be damned.

I suggest the conservative and independent just quit supporting all the media which abuses it's truthfulness. I say we all cancel our paper (you can get it on the web anyways), when ever any polling takes place...never admit to watching any of the alphabet channels. Write in to advertisers and say why not supporting their product, for supporting that channel. When Revenues drop at least 50% it will force the MSM to either be honest or fail It is simple as that.
