I think it instead illustrates the corrosive effect of political correctness on free speech. You even allude to this yourself -- people are afraid to say they didn't vote for the black guy because that is the "right" thing to do. Why? I would never answer a question about who I voted for on my way out of a polling place on general principle, but I don't think a person needs to be racist to lie if they feel compelled to give an answer. It's none of anyone's business -- that's why we vote the way we do. I fail to see how the “Bradley effect” shows racism.
