Yes, the picture is a disingenous photoshop. And no, despite the dozens of stories to the contrary. Fidel has NOT expressed any kind of preference for a Hillary-Obama ticket. He said that “talk” considers such a matchup invincible. But the Republican spin machine is having a fun time trying to equate Fidel and the democrats. Too bad CNN and even the NYTimes fell for it. If anyone actually cares to read Fidel’s words, he has nothing but contempt for most US politicians. The only reason that Jimmy Carter gets some kind words is because he is the only President that did not attempt regime change or engage in bombing and sabotage in Cuba.

Wow, I just noticed the picture in the upper right hand corner. Is that for real? Has it been photoshopped? Is that really Hugo Chavez holding a picture of Hillary Clinton while Fidel Casto approvingly looks on? How much money did Karl Rove pay to get this arranged?

By what measure is this imitation of a human beings opinion worthy of publication? In what way does his preference benefit America or American interests ? It smells like a little Communist reverse physchology here. What he really means is, please don’t elect any more evil Republicans. Let me die peacefully knowing a pair of good socialists are ruining America.

Fidel Castro knows that the useful idiots of the Democratic Party are of little threat to him and other socialist tyrants in the world. He merely needs to utter egalitarian rhetoric and claim to represent the downtrodden masses. That’s enough to keep them happy. According to Michael Moore, Castro also offers his citizens excellent medical services. What’s not to like? Indeed, a vote for a Hillary Clinton/Barak Obama ticket is an excellent way to show one’s appreciation for all the good Castro has done throughout his lifetime.
