you are all blind to what’s going on around. gitmo is a fuking joke. maybe they gain some useful intelligence, but we complain some much about freedom and idependence, yet are so quick to take it away from others. shelfish, ignorant, and stupid are the top three adjectives to describe the general shitty populance of america…and don’t even get me started on dubya. i wonder how much he made while he was president? There’s still plenty of time for 0bama to learn to tap dance lessons so he can shuffle with Michelle on “Dancing with the Stars” after their whole agenda is tanking our Country into the depths of self-defeating depression/recession/socialism.

Maybe they can even do a “reality show” where they are eating Kobe beef and wining and dining in high style while people are living in tents.

-Oh…and it looks like that much promised and chest-thumped “Middle Class Tax Cut” is not going to go through.

#168 Guy – Actually, this article was pointed out in a previous thread. This is how vivo found out about it. I downloaded the article myself and have read it through twice. Very solid. I have not ever seen a better explanation of what went wrong. Sadly, the conditions that created the problem are still extant.

I think Obama’s reply to a CNN questioner regarding the AIG bonuses makes a lot of sense both during the press conference and the 60 minutes interview: “It took us a couple days because I like to know what I’m talking about before I speak.”

This also applies to his use of a teleprompter. I would much prefer a President who examines all sides of an issue patiently before making a rash decision or “mispeaking.” Kind of refreshing after 8 years of Bushisms.

By the way: up another 100 so far today . . . and this . . . The Commerce Department said Wednesday that orders for durable goods — manufactured products expected to last at least three years — increased 3.4 percent last month, much better than the 2 percent fall economists expected. It was the first advance since July and the strongest one-month gain in 14 months.

I wonder of guns are considered durable goods.
