Obama’s “measured” response still results in anti-American hatred spewing from the mouths of the mullah’s. Obama doesn’t need to “grandstand for the US media” in order for this to occur. Yet he still offers “measured” (read: mealy-mouthed) responses. That’s hope for ya.

First, you don’t have to remind me that you’re a conservative. Second, the WORST thing Obama could do is grandstand for the US media, giving Iran’s religious leaders the opportunity to pounce on the Great Satan yet again inserting itself into their homeland politics. Nobody in Iran likes America very much, you know that, right? We have a bad reputation of stepping on their sovereignty.

I think Obama DOES see and understand – exactly – what’s in front of him. Conservatives and Iranians alike are praising his measured response. The wild-eyed right wingers here in the U.S., driven to distraction by idiots like Hannity and Limbaugh, feel compelled to demand “action!” from Obama. Really? Action? Where were they when Kent State down? I’ll tell you where, sitting in front of the TV yelling, “God damn hippies deserved it!”

Conservatives are more interested in how they can use this to hurt Obama politically than they are concerned about the rights and lives of Iranians. Yes, I really believe that. Why? Because of what they say.

Tell me something, why is your boy so mute about Iran? He’s facing a pivitol moment in history, yet he sounds like a first grader facing a teacher. Could it be that he is like a sail in the wind? Showy, full of himself with nothing behind it all. Great men see and understand what is in front of them. They rise to meet the challenge. So far he is all bravado and no substance. Here’s the problem for you . . . The video you posted begins with, “For the first time Americans are not free to say what they think.” . . . but then you tell me to stay the hell off of our forum. Sorry to burst your bubble…irony intended…but it was the REGULATORS who forced the banks to make subprime loans to unworthy borrowers, “or else”…following the will of Congress, Barney Frank et. al. to make “the American Dream” available to all… leaving out a key ingredient of the American Dream: you have to EARN it…not have it handed to you on a subprime platter…

Connecting, once again, to the primary subject and brilliant analogy made in the article in question: Münchhausen’s Syndrome:

First, make the patient (the housing industry) sick by regulating it, although in a truly perverse way: force it to do things logically against its own interest, rather than “regulate” it to reduce the chance of risk/illness, (which, BTW, it does quite nicely on its own)…force the opposite…

(Sick mommy, anyone? Shall we call it now the Maternal State?)

Then, pretend that deregulation was the cause…and prescribe more of the same to the poor child…not in true hopes of real recovery, but more illness…to control, control, control…
