Tell me something, vivo, how old are you? I see your posts, and all I see are the usual Leftist talking points. These things are always devoid of deeper context. When conservatives post here, you so often see examples from history, or life experience, or classical texts, or quotes from great minds of the past to back their positions. When I post, I usually write how I got to the viewpoint I have taken. You proffer none of these things.

The problem is not that we don’t talk about ideas. It’s that you just can’t hear them. You can see it all over this site: the ideas about right and wrong; forecasting the direction the country is heading; realization that it may soon come to an armed conflict; the failures of Marxism; the evils of Islam, and so on. How can you say we don’t discuss ideas? Because you’re confusing ideas and solutions. Solutions are operational things. Ideas are strategic. Solutions treat the symptoms. Ideas deal with the overall problem.

close the kyrgyz base, force resupply through its territory, compel concessions re: missile defense which will mean effectively neutering it (remember it is officially designed to thwart attacks from iran, who would not be a threat without russian nuclear energy and missile design), and on and on…

anyone think chavez is afraid to “win” sunday’s referndum on term limits? look for more russian warships in cuba and venezuela. wonder how the uribe government feels about that. and noriega in panama… or those east europe governments on the russian gas lines…
