Obama Tattoo, Anyone? Obama Thong? Action Figure?

Fans of the president-elect go to extremes. (In Congress, too...)

As Inauguration Day looms, Obama fans appear to have few boundaries when it comes to showing their affection for-the-soon to be president of the United States.

For the merely supportive, there are a lot of kitschy items for sale. There are shoes. There are t-shirts in a wide variety of styles. Hats. Even underwear.  And, yes, there is a thong version for ladies who want nothing to come between them and their president. For those who have moved beyond clothing and desire a more tangible way to express their idolatry there are bobble heads in both “regular” and “superhero” style.

The more playful Obamites may prefer the action figure version of their hero. For the artsy types there are over 1,800 different Barack Obama posters offered at zazzle.com alone! There are watches, buttons, coins, pendants, coffee cups, plates, paperweights, neckties, aprons, chocolates, wine stoppers, and more.

In fact, if you name it, they have it with Barack Obama’s name or visage on it.

But for some of Obama’s most ardent supporters, merely having “stuff” that bears his likeness isn’t enough. Nothing says true support like getting an Obama tattoo. In fact, the crew at Fatty’s Custom Tattooz on Dupont Circle in Washington, D.C., are rolling into the inauguration with an offer of a free Obama tattoo with the purchase of any other tattoo at $200 or more. They also offer an “Obama piercing,” whatever that is.

Well, for an Obama orgy, what could be better than the Head O State Obama sex toy? Quote on the packaging: “You love your candidate. Let him love you back!”

I think I know where the Obama piercing goes; we’re all about to get violated there, anyway.

At least they didn’t roll out an ObamaChia this Christmas. I was kind of expecting it, but either good taste or the short lead time prevailed.

Right now would be a good time to invest in companies that make equipment for tattoo removal. Its going to be awesome once the honeymoon phase is over.

Jan 19, 2009 - 4:50 am 7. Cybergeezer:

My favorite is the Obama suppositories; And, Oh! There’s a Nancy Pelosi sigmoidoscope! The Harry Reid bed pan makes a nice gift.
Where can I get some Democrat drain cleaner?

“Action figure?”

Yah right. Al Qaeda must be trembling in their sandals. If you’re going to pick an action figure, pick a supine or prone Ghandi.

Jan 19, 2009 - 6:23 am 9. ~Paules:

I’m holding out for the Obama action figure riding a unicorn.

Or maybe the Obama sheep-skin, talking plush toy. It bleats “Oh-bah-ma” when you pull the ring.

Obama coin organizer with logo: “Change you can believe in.”

barackhusseinobama makes me sick.

I think I may look for a sweatshirt that simply has a giant “W” both front and back.

WOW!!!!!!!!

I’m suprised they don’t have McDonald’s putting the Demcratic cabinet collection series in Happy Meals. You can have an Obama yo-yo, collect all 5 including The Hilary Clinton my little pony or the Joe Biden Stretch Toy etc.

Jan 19, 2009 - 8:52 am 12. Wahine:

An “orgy” of another kind was being planned in D.C. to celebrate The One’s inauguration. At the DoubleTree Hotel. (learned this at worldnetdaily)

A gay/lesbian orgy in a number of their convention rooms. “Pig sex” they called it.

When Christian groups heard of it and protested, the hotel stood behind the gays. But the Dept. of Sanitation was called in to stop it. (Would jeopardize the health and safety of employees cleaning up afterward and hotel guests because the orgy would be in rooms also used for food service.)

I hope DoubleTree Hotels goes out of business.

What about the Obama NASCAR(R)Commemorative Plate – with Obama flanked by Richard Petty and Earnhardt SR.?

I’ve had too much….

I think I’ve got to find a bucket …

I’m gonna Obammit!!!

Jan 19, 2009 - 9:37 am 15. Adam:

I rushed out last week to get my commemorative Barack Obama Spider-Man comic last week….

Of course, I turned around and sold it for $85 on eBay, a profit to me of $81. Hey, why can’t I profit off Obamamania too?

Jan 19, 2009 - 10:15 am 16. Mike K.:

Does anyone else see that the actions by the mass media, dems and supporters alike is getting disgusting??

What’s next the Elvis/Obama commemorative dinner plate?

How are any of these entities objective?
How can they be good for the country?
Why do people continue to watch them?

Jan 19, 2009 - 11:02 am 20. Pete:

Just obscene America being itself.

Everywhere else in the world a government is elected and they take their place, give a wave and get on with it.

In the US we have a three day long fanfare and sales opportunities, my what a vulgar country you live in.

Jan 19, 2009 - 11:30 am 21. Cybergeezer:

Thanks for the laughs;
I have a serious case of Obama, but a healthy dose of laxative should do the trick.

Jan 19, 2009 - 11:48 am 22. Jay Walker:

i like obama and I voted for him. this whole fuss about inauguration is ridiculous, and i am not going to waste my time watching it. I am tired of speeches and slogans – back to work already!! we are not going to move our economy by selling obamamabilia. stop the damn war! stop stealing and lying… enough bs!

Jan 19, 2009 - 11:52 am 23. randy:

How about an Obama toilet & bathroom cabinet. I have no doubt my toilet & bathroom cabinet is more qualified than Obama and his Cabinet….

Jan 19, 2009 - 12:48 pm 24. johngaltlives:

Deifying ANY political figure is DANGEROUS. OBAMA IS NOT GOD folks. Look at what happens to countries who treat POLITICIANS like god. GERMANY became NAZI GERMANY because HITLER was treated as a diety. THE SOVIET UNION made STALIN, a mass murderer, into a god-like figure who no one would dare challenge or criticize. RED CHINA had MILLIONS MURDERED BY MAO TSE TUNG and there are some there who still WORSHIP MAOS CORPSE. FIDEL CASTRO made all sorts of grandoise promises in CUBA. ASK any cuban emigrant there opinion of CASTRO. ASK any SE asians emigrant from Vietnam, Laos ,or Cambodia what they think of POL POT or HO CHI MINH. Its never a good idea to HERO WORSHIP a politican, whos egos are already inflated as it is. The Obamaskank is just another POLITICAN who could not make it anywhere other than in politics. Hes anything but a hero.

Jan 19, 2009 - 1:10 pm 25. johngaltlives:

Any odds that in one year the OBAMASKANKS “approval numbers” will be below 40%? This guy has about as much a clue as WILE E COYOTE has about catching the ROADRUNNER.

Jan 19, 2009 - 1:14 pm 26. Ann141:

24 “deifying any political figure is dangerous. Obama is not God, folks.”

Agreed, but I think you’re too late. That train has apparently left the station.

He and his worshippers turn my stomach.

Hey Marge, looks like we found em. This must be the last bastion of the ignorant 20 percent who still carry Presnit Shrub’s water. Howdy ya’ll! I just come over to see what kind of idotic drivel is being posted in the comments section of blogs that still cling to failed conservative ideology and policy. See ya in the unemployment line.

Plain to see you’re too stupid to know how to cut and paste.
assertion |əˈsər sh ən|
noun
a confident and forceful statement of fact or belief [with clause ] : his assertion that his father had deserted the family.
• the action of stating something or exercising authority confidently and forcefully : the assertion of his legal rights.
Didn’t see anything that qualified as such.

Jan 19, 2009 - 3:24 pm 32. Ann141:

trollsbane…Sorry about your job.

Our income is on the increase as we are self employed and not participating in the recession.

Conservative ideology doesn’t fail. Individuals and political parties that don’t use it do fail.

Don’t worry about your boy. We’ll give him the same respect you gave President Bush.

Jan 19, 2009 - 3:56 pm 33. Gozer the Carpathian:

*Chuckles*

Oh come now Ann141, I’m sure we’ll give Obama twice the respect they gave Bush. I mean twice of zero has gotta be better! :D

Jan 19, 2009 - 5:01 pm 34. Thom Fisher:

that’s a lot of Obama obsession going on. I prefer to be obsessed over Bush. Now Bush is a real man who deserves to be worshipped!

Jan 19, 2009 - 5:54 pm 35. newton:

It’s called a cult.

Just wait until the first few people take a stand against this insanity. When just a few people stand up before the Image of Obama and refuse to bow down and worship him. The worshipers will demand their bodies to be burned!

Jan 19, 2009 - 8:13 pm 36. deme:

I got a tattoo on Nov 5th but not of Obama…I said that once he won I would get a tattoo for this special moment in history. I looked at getting the Chinese lettering for hope or change and then I saw an African symbol for unity ..i got that and put the numbers 08 to signify the year that We the People came together and voted for our and other’s futures. Mind you this wasn’t my first tattoo either.

Hurry…Obama plates on sale @ Walgreens. You can own a piece of history. We deserve this set back. Will we ever learn?

Jan 19, 2009 - 8:28 pm 38. ~Paules:

I ordered the Obama fleece pullover, but I was informed that everybody in the country will soon get one for “free.”

Yea; I tried those plates; They’re styrofoam. Landfill problem.

I think Hot Air had an article about the end of comedy; (I went back to find it, and reference it, but it was gone). We have a unique breed of comedians here. We’re going to need our humor for the next four years.

Each of my three grown stepsons has tatoos…

I’ve often wondered if tatoo shops shouldn’t include, at no extra cost, a very small-font caption under each one that reads:

It seemed like a good idea at the time

Jan 20, 2009 - 6:56 am 42. ThinkingPerson:

trollsbane….I’m impressed you logged off of the official Obama website long enough to see/read other viewpoints! Now, will you return and join us again when Obama fails to live up to the hype and your kool-aid wears off? We’ll be here and try not to rub your nose in your stupidity.

Jan 20, 2009 - 7:21 am 43. Cybergeezer:

trollsbane left; Went back to the left wing liberal sites to complain of the right wing attack machine going on here.

Jan 20, 2009 - 7:34 am 44. Erik:

From the beginning I believe Mr. Obama has pursued an advertising campaign while his rivals have pursued political campaigns. “Hope and Change” is about as profound as Coke or Pepsi. This is just a further extension. Individuals were more interessted in the product claims and what it can do for me than how convictions and actions translate into reality for our society. He was selling an image and America bought it… with all the lofty expectations to go with. Now it’s time to deliver the goods. Cheap rhetoric aside (mine or his), I wish America and President Obama the best.

I just love, love, LOVE your comment. You should be a professional appeaser. I’ll bet you were standing up for G.W. when the media and Congress were condemning him as stupid. You are such a magnificent patriot. I’d share a foxhole with you any day. As long as I got the first shot.

Jan 21, 2009 - 5:26 pm 49. suzy:

I have to agree with Eric. I am a former Democrat, didn’t really like Bush, but I never in a million years thought that this country would be stupid enough to vote for a guy who came out of nowhere, up through the CHICAGO machine, weaned on a racist milk of Rev. Wright – but hey, that’s the Pepsi Generation!

Jan 21, 2009 - 7:21 pm 50. suzy:

I would seriously pay big bucks for an obamachia!

Jan 21, 2009 - 7:23 pm 51. Cybergeezer:

Okay; What’s an obamachia?

Jan 22, 2009 - 5:57 am 52. Cybergeezer:

Man; This was before my coffee kicked in; obama-chia, not oba-machia. Coffee clears up my dyslexia.
The Obama phenomenon is like a growth, though. A disease.

Hey, how about Obama toilet paper? It’ll help to demystify this egomaniac,as well as remind us daily of the what’s inside the brain case of the average Obama supporter.Only market it quickly;after this cretin finishes with the US economy, inflation will make it cheaper to use dollar bills!
