It’s obvious there is a huge generation gap between us. Not to mention a huge difference in what one considers an accomplished person. And at 49, I’m not that “old.” I’m that “young.” That is the biggest difference between you and I. That and I sense a lot of bitterness in your postings. I get the feeling maybe you may have all the money and possessions you would ever want. But are you loved? Somehow I doubt it.

I will, however, assert that I still do not buy your age, but if you are that old you are a sad case. If you are 49 you are headed into an age bracket that really does not tolerate your sort of nonsense at all. You know, people with their own business, or senior level people in their professions: accomplished people own property and have grand-kids–you know, the sort of things that you do not and will never have; the sort of people that you envy,
I imagine that your “management” is younger than you are.

The over 50 crowd is much not interested in how losers rationalize their failures and mediocrity. They hear this from their younger employees all the time, particularly in the exit interviews. If you are really 49, you are about to become a cautionary tale. You will not like this much.
