Obama’s Quest into the Magic World of Anti-American Mythology
Obama is just one of millions fooled by the anti-American propaganda planted decades ago by the KGB. (This is part two of a series. Read part one here.)
How many of you, upon hearing about an overthrow of a leftist dictator, instinctively thought of a CIA plot?
How many, at least at some point in your lives, believed that aggressive U.S. meddling ignited hot spots on the world map? That any pro-U.S. leader of a small country is probably a CIA puppet? That the American model of individual liberty and capitalism was being imposed on the people of Latin America, Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East against their will, and they might be happier with leftist tyrants?
These are the attitudes leftist propaganda is designed to create — but they may also be the result of an elitist presumption that people of the world cannot think for themselves and have no room in their souls for individual ambitions and achievements outside of what the government is giving them. Short of stating it explicitly, elitism implies that “the masses” are mindless, spiritless creatures without free will, always in need of the largesse of the state, and for their own good the state ought to nationalize the country’s resources in order to feed its subjects.
There is a reason why snobby elites on the Upper East Side of Manhattan generously donate to leftist causes and support leftist politicians. Snobs and radicals often act in accord because they are not opposites, as some believe, but rather spiritual cousins — equally despising “the bourgeois,” sharing a low view of humanity as herd animals, and sorting people not on their individual merits but by color, income, occupation, ethnicity, gender, and any other characteristic except the content of their minds. Such beliefs have often served as a veiled excuse for tyranny.
This thinking is the direct opposite of the ideal of individual liberty, on which the United States was founded and which defines this country’s exceptionalism. As such, elitist and leftist beliefs are downright un-American — a term that today has become a fighting word, used broadly by both right and left, sometimes with a completely opposite meaning. Not to be outdone, snobs and radicals have also evolved a natural loathing for American “bourgeois” principles.
But the view of America as the command center of the international capitalist conspiracy is definitely not a product of natural evolution, but rather a foreign implant going back to the days of the Cold War.
And since Cold War perceptions continue to have such a negative effect on today’s reality, we may have no other choice but to pause and reluctantly follow Obama’s quest into the magic world of Cold War mythology to relive old legends. Only for us, a more positive outcome would mean not to place the Minotaur on the list of protected species, but rather to use real historical facts to guide us into the heart of the deceptive labyrinth and to slay the evil ideology that thrives on human sacrifice. Then, hopefully, we can all bid farewell to the painful past and finally move on to more peaceful and productive lives.
First of all, one cannot maintain intellectual and moral integrity while decrying U.S. presence in the hot spots of the Cold War, if one does not also mention the presence in the same hot spots of the Soviet espionage agencies, the KGB and the GRU. Their job was to initiate the hot spots and then fan the flames, spreading the fire to the rest of the world. The U.S. objectives were quite the opposite — to extinguish or at least to localize the fire — which made American involvement a necessary if often inadequate antidote.
To blame the hot spots on the U.S. presence would be as insane as to blame fires on firefighters because their trucks are always at the scene.
One’s perception of America as a hero or a villain in this case depends on whether one thinks that socialism is indeed “progress of mankind.” For believers in the leftist version of “progress,” America will inevitably come off as evil, arrogant, or at least misguided. The workings of the leftist template are such that when a single axiom is accepted all other axioms follow, being links of one chain. The Soviet non-presence is also an axiom, an invisible and unspoken part of the template that allows deception to advance leftist causes — the end justifies the means.

Let me guess: The president of the United States is really a brainwashed eltist who isnt smart enough to knopw that he has been brainwashed by the KGB? And that this is because he got an education, and educated people are brainwashed, not natural real americans such as Sarah Palin? And that the president showing humility by apologizing for the last 8 years shows that he may, in fact, be an active KGB agent, propably from Kenya?
Oh you nutty rightwingers.

Besides, perhaps someone who lived in the Soviet Union and saw first hand how it opperated might, and I say might, just have a clearer picture of its wokings than someone sitting in their cozy US home enjoying MSNBC on their direct TV. Just saying…

They are like the KGB of the West, manipulating stories and facts to further their agenda of to demonize our civilization. Their dishonesty has leaked into historical writings and in my opinion our future generations will have a slim chance of trusting what they read as truth.
Just as we are seeing in Hollywood Productions of late, ‘based on a true story’ or ‘based on true events’ will hold little meaning.
I contend though, that Islam needs no help to become radical. To me it stands on it’s own as a friend to conflict, unrest, and violence. Perhaps the KGB found a true ally.
Aug 3, 2009 - 5:48 am 10. Pelaut:Correct, Oleg. The US Left in the MSM mimicked the KGB lines to enhance their own power. The 60/70s kids carried it into the media professions and academia where promulgation to the third generation continued.
Also mention: the KGB hooked America on drugs from the 50s to the 80s.

Certainly well matches the tenor of Obama’s remarks on America (the sincere ones, often uttered abroad) during his first 6 months in office, not to mention the undercurrent he attempted to disguise throughout his campaign. The current administration is not working against the agenda of Soviet style socialism, but in concert with it.
…an invisible and unspoken part of the template that allows deception to advance leftist causes — the end justifies the means….That is why the substitution of facts with a revised history …
A core tenet of the Big Lie, not to mention a core tenet of radical Islam and the philosophy of radicalism espoused by Billy Ayers & friends, the end always justifies the means and he decides the means, bombing, murdering whatever that will best destabilize and destroy “capitalism”.
…the radical left has gone as far as to join forces with Islamic extremists in a series of world-wide anti-American protest marches that blame all the world’s violence on “U.S. imperialism.”…To the radical left, the War on Terror is little more than a convenient excuse to demonize America, proselytize, and recruit new members.
America’s radical left finds an ideological brother in radical Islam.

Aug 3, 2009 - 8:07 am 20. ~Paules:If you watch the available video on Yuri Bezmenov, you will understand that the rise of someone like Obama was anticipated by the KGB. Obama’s mother had completely succumbed to the process Bezmenov describes as “demoralization.” One aspect of this condition is the inability to discriminate right from wrong, friend from foe. According to Bezmenov the condition is irreversible (amply demonstrated by our usual cast of trolls).
Bezmenov goes on to explain that the tactic was designed to put American culture at war with itself. In the eyes of Obama and his fellow travelers, it’s not our oversees foes who are the enemies of America, but domestic conservatives. The so-called “narrative” (racist, bigot, homophobe) is contrived, but that doesn’t make it any less real to the left. Gone is the notion that Republicans represent a loyal opposition. The left has declared war on us and all the values we hold dear.
My best guess is that traditional America will wake up in time to put a stop to socialism. Every time a fool like Gates opens his yap, average Americans scream “enough already!” The backlash is already starting to be heard across the nation. I hope so. The other possibilities are just too horrible to contemplate.

I use to repeat in my posts here that we must understand that politics as usual ended, finished, and that the subversive left is moving WAR against Freedom and the West.

Aug 3, 2009 - 8:44 am 25. Rachel Peepers:As it becomes more and more abundantly clear that this President of the United States buys into the “elitist presumption that people of the world cannot think for themselves and have no room in their souls for individual ambitions and achievements outside of what the government is giving them, President Obama popularity is starting to fall like a blind roofer. Many critical thinking liberals simply don’t believe that hogwash.
“Short of stating it explicitly, the elitism that President Obama champions implies that “the masses” are mindless, spiritless creatures without free will, always in need of the largesse of the state, and for their own good the state ought to nationalize the country’s resources in order to feed its subjects.” To Obama’s surprise, this is going over like a lead balloon.
Fact is, like melting Long Island snow on a fifty degree post storm day, Barack Obama’s rock solid popularity with critical thinking liberal America appears to be quickly turning to mush.
We all know high temperatures melt snow, but many disagree precisely what’s caused such an avalanche of public opinion to sweep down and threaten to send Barack Obama running for his political life.
All at a time when Obama cheerleaders like Jon (pathetically unfunny Stewart), SNL, Letterman and The View, not to mention the mainstream, slave media, continue to scream the praises of Obama every chance they get.
Of course, his elitist beliefs are just part of Barack’s problem.
People point to Obama’s remarks about the arrest of Henry Gates as incredibly stupid. They point to Obama and Eric Holder conspiring to decide not to prosecute voter intimidating Black Panthers even though the government held an airtight case against the pukes.
Others point to Obama’s decision to spend billions of dollars the nation doesn’t have as a way of preventing us from going broke; another cause of President Barack Obama’s recent savage popularity beating in the latest polls.
Still others point out that Obama is leading the country into becoming some kind of European, socialist, spread the wealth society.
Personally, what sticks in my craw is the way Obama bad mouths America to leaders of countries that say they want to bury us while insulting countries that historically have fought and died for liberty side by side with us.
Some say he’s not even a citizen because he’s unable to present a real birth certificate, something a kid must present to play little league baseball.
I wouldn’t even mention the birth certificate issue if if weren’t for the fact that our forefathers put it in the constitution so the U.S., in a moment of mass mindlessness, wouldn’t elect some charismatic figure.
This happened, of course, despite the fact the elected President’s closest friends (Bill Ayers and Jeremy Wright being perfect examples) hate America with a passion usually reserved for a Hitler type Germany.
Richard Nixon was thrown out of office because he planned to destroy the Democratic Party.
The question now before us is what do we do with a President out to destroy America?

Yes, “demoralizing” is precisely the removal of morality!
America is still a big reservoir of decency and morality. I share your hope that movements like the tea parties will push back the wave of mindless destruction. The number of “liberals” (in the narrow sense) who wake up and recognize the previously unsuspected conservative moorings in them is actually greater than the number of conservatives falling for the religion of expedited thought.
Aug 3, 2009 - 10:22 am 28. tanstaafl:Leftists like to talk about a “larger truth” when they lose on the facts
In all cases, the Left believes and believes in its chosen and preferred narrative, the facts be damned.
Which is why Obama could and did, without evidence or knowledge of the specifics, declare abruptly and off the cuff that the Cambridge police “acted stupidly”.
It fit his narrative, typical white cop, typical white person (his own grandmother)…etc.
Which is why, after the Duke case unravelled and it was shown that “the dancer” was a liar, Evan Thomas (Newsweek editor and grandson of infamous socialist Norman Thomas) could say…
The narrative was right, but the facts were wrong
…leftspeak for, well, “we’re STILL right about this poor black dancer being violated by rich white la crosse playing boyz, damn the facts”

Aug 3, 2009 - 11:09 am 33. dan:I’d like to thank the author for pointing out what ought to be the most obviously bizarre thing about the general public discourse: absolutely no real awareness of the Soviet Union. Not even on a simple academic level. Anyone who reads about about Lenin, the Old Bolsheviks, Stalin – all these people – would not at all scoff at the theory that KGB is a gigantic subversion state, rather they would wonder whether it could possibly be otherwise. Anyone who throws up “McCarthyist!” or “Oh yeah and there are Commies under my bed right?” in response to claims like these about the KGB proves that they simply do not read conventional, uncontroversial history about the reality of the first Marxist-Leninist state.
Why do you folks just sit down with a few good books on the subject? It’s possibly the most fascinating story in the history of human politics. Plus you wouldn’t sound like such blithering “I was 17 in 1971 and I know what I’m talking about!” idiots.

a lot of people think that the freedom and capatism of the west and particular the SA is the normal progression of humanity.
I don’t agree ..the marxist model is what we always seem predisposed to.
I don’t like that model and it is not a wealth creating model. but there are always people who want to force marxism on those of us who don’t want it. they will never stop and as one is swepted away another takes his place. generally the have the advantage in that they don’t play by any form of decency so they tend to garner more power.
all the dictators of the last hundred years to the present never had the popular vote (not legally, they tended to manipulate the elctorate and the votes are more often then not rigged)
those who don’t understand that the USA made it this far have not given the american constitution enough credit. unfortunately the constitution or the USA has been ignored in many recent cases and the future looks even worse.

Frank, you unintentionally illustrate the point being made. You repeat a communist myth as fact and you probably aren’t aware of it. Far from being destroyed, South Vietnam’s economy was growing strongly while US troops were there. Had we not abandoned them, they would have continued to follow the path of the Asian Tigers and would economically be similar today to South Korea, Taiwan, etc. The cities in the South were never bombed. Their industry and agriculture were intact and thriving. We also left them with hundreds of miles of paved roads, airports, seaports, municipal infrastructure, etc. The communists are still using that stuff today. The communism that followed did far more damage to Vietnam’s economy that all the bombs we dropped in the jungles.
Compare Vietnam to Japan. Japan was far more damaged than Vietnam by war. There was hardly an intact section of any major Japanese city in 1945, unlike Saigon, which was 100% intact. Yet, with a sound economic system, Japan’s economy was up and running almost immediately. Compare Japan 34 years after the war, (1979) to Vietnam today.
Next you will try to tell us that the US embargo is the sole cause of Cuba’s economic troubles. Or that the Soviet entry into the war in the Pacific (and not the US victories and the atom bomb) is what caused Japan to surrender.

South Vietnam’s rice production increased every year even while being under siege by the communist north. After South Vietnam fell rice production fell under communist control to the point where Vietnam went from an exporter to importer of rice. If the communist north didn’t want to be bombed all they had to do was stop waging war against South Vietnam. But if they did that they wouldn’t have been able to eliminate South Vietnam and you would have another example of the stark difference between the success of a capitalist system and a communist one just like between the two Koreas. As the the communist spy, Pham Xuan An, who worked for Time magazine said about the Vietnam war “The US lost the battle but won the war”.

“Had we not abandoned them, they would have continued to follow the path of the Asian Tigers and would economically be similar today to South Korea, Taiwan, etc”
i do not disaagree.
zefal:my only beef with vietnam is that we left.

Meet the new boss . . . much worse than the old boss.
Aug 3, 2009 - 7:27 pm 54. McCool:Let me get this abundently clear, I do not what so ever like the Obama administration what so ever. However this article is pure B.S. the title of it alone speaks as if there is proof of obama’s anti-americanism. However upon reading the actual article all you get is the authors opinion of Obama’s personal mind-set, which at times appears paranoid and delusional. Crap like this is what makes conservatives look like moon-bats. Sure Obama may act like a stuck up snob, who actually believes that it is his manifest destiny to be a social savior to the world. Sure he meets the typical archtype of most liberals in america today, extremely narcissistic to the point where they are alone are the lynchpin keeping the world safe from itself (see Al gore & Stoner Bill Mahre). But this garbage is a far stretch and if you ever want to kick these idiots out of office we may want to appear less crazy then they are.
Aug 3, 2009 - 10:02 pm 55. Pragmatist:Just a point on the “Birther’ issue Obambi MUST have had to provide a Birth Certificate in the past BEFORE the issue date of his dodgy COLB to get his Drivers License and his Passport (the one he used in 1981 to Pakistan for example) and I am sure for many other things such as college admission, Bar and other applications etc. in the past. Now ALL these things PRE DATE the photoshopped false COLB he is punting so what Birth Certificate document did he use to obtain these documents and for these applications because it CANNOT have been this COLB and WHY is that BC document not available now and WHY are those records sealed now probably because it would disclose that Birth Certificate and with it details his Fathers name, Nationality, place of birth and name details would come out.

Aug 3, 2009 - 11:43 pm 57. vivo:Breaking news!
The British Secret Service has determined that President Obama’s birth certificate was originated in another galaxy. Astronomers and scientists have detected a massive movement in space resembling thousands of flying objects approaching the Earth. Calculations assume that they will arrive on December 25th 2009. They tried to share this news with the media, but nobody would believe them. They know that a large segment of the American public will be more understanding.

that is also a sign of blind faith. conservatives have no problem being critical of people in the party they vote for. libs, well they for the most part cannot.
will you be one of the jailers or just waiting for the largess of the government as payment for your loyaltiy?

Aug 4, 2009 - 5:56 am 61. Stephen Brady:First, I want to commend Oleg on a very well-written and thoughtful article. I don’t necessarily agree with everything in it, but it’s mostly right on-target.
I spent much of my adult life in the intel business. Naturally, I will not divulge the agency or the capacity in which I served. Suffice it to say that, if a small country became destabilized anywhere in the world, the KGB was likely involved. Oleg’s piece speaks volumes concerning the truth.
Also, since the fall of the USSR … Thanks be to God! … I believe that the increase of “conspiracy theories” is the work either of people who have had to go “cold turkey” from the KGB’s disinformation campaigns, or from the West’s useful idiots (most of them hardcore Leftists), many of whom troll on this site.

Aug 4, 2009 - 9:09 am 62. Oleg Atbashian:#54. McCool – This article is a segment of a six-part series, and many of the points you mentioned are covered in other parts.
#61. Stephen Brady – Thanks for your input. In the coming parts of this series I am analyzing in more detail the idea you have just expressed: “… the increase of ‘conspiracy theories’ is the work either of people who have had to go ‘cold turkey’ from the KGB’s disinformation campaigns, or from the West’s useful idiots.”
Aug 4, 2009 - 9:30 am 63. johngaltrules:Yo commie aholes-what are you morons going to do when ISLAM turns on your unable to think for yourself brainless twit loser arses? As far as Im concerned, Id let them and the Red Chinese kill each other, or the useless stupid your a pee ons. Islam doesnt have what it takes to defeat THINKING people. Niether does communism, which is why they lost in the first place. It wasnt the russians who defeated Hitler, they would have been crushed without our lend lease program. It was AMERICA and FREEDOM which defeated the Nazis, and it will be AMERICA and FREEDOM which will defeat todays enemies, even the ones inside like Obama and the Bolshevik Bitch Piglosi.

Calvin Ball@ 26:
Calvin, more than that, this was noticed as far back as before 1963. See W. Cleon Skousen’s 1963 Congressional Record of the “Current Goals of the Communist Party” with current of course being rather dated (1963).

I think they were giving you the benefit of the doubt. If you were paid it, then it would make sense. That you do it for ideological reasons means you are just dumb.

Aug 5, 2009 - 8:01 am 69. JasonS:Useful idiots like you helped elect our great commissar, er President. You’re still a useful idiot because you still fail to believe the evidence. It’s like failing to see the forest for the trees. How many radicals and racist preachers does it take to convince you of Obama’s true intentions? Go to youtube and type Yuri Bezmenov and start learning about KGB tactics from an insider. His lectures are exactly what has been happening to America in the last several years. The nation’s leftist tilt is in cruise mode at the moment thanks to Obama and the leftist wing of the democratic party and to the media. We must vote these suckers out of office ASAP and stop reading MSM garbage. If recent town hall meetings are any indication its going to be a long hot summer for dems as they get constituent reaction to Obama’s health plans. True to democratic idological form their response is that the people don’t know how to take care of themselves. This is exactly socialist ideology at work. Only the government knows what’s best for you so shut up and do as we say. Before relinquishing my voice and my health to people who only want to be in power, don’t know how to run things, yet tell us how to run our lives I will fight. If you want to continue to be a useful idiot please take a long walk off a short pier.
Great article. The author needs to write a book on this subject and market it to the 18-30 Generation-Y crowd. It really is about time a serious effort was made to reverse the mountains upon mountains of left wing lies which have poisoned the mind set of our youth.
Aug 5, 2009 - 8:43 am 70. Douglas:fnord,
You don’t have to be an underground soviet spy to some conspiracy nut. You are what is known as a “useful idiot”. The emphasis is definatley on idiot.

So thats your brilliant tea-party plan for the republic: Heckling meetings and piss decent people off in a time of crisis.
“The economy is falling apart”
“WHERES THE BIRTH CIRTIFICIT!”
and/or similar soundbite slogans. “PALIN FOR PRESIDENT”. In very loud voice, while everybody else looks at you as freaks. Thats not a winning strategy, thats a civil disobedience campaign aimed at destroying the democratic system of polite discussion.
I spend quite some time communicating with military folks over at various milblogs, and I really dont see how all this hating and screaming is supporting your troops with serious thinking and intelligent behaviour. W.A. due respect.

did yo notice that at those town hall meeting the representaives of government weren’t listenining to the people. just telling them that they needed to push this “reform” through very fast so that it will be difficult to even read.
I don’t see how releasing a certified copy of his birth certificate will slow the economy, I think Obama has managed to get that way off the rails. oh yeah when he releases the copy it should be to a non-partisan group this time.
Aug 5, 2009 - 7:16 pm 74. zeroKnots:“Obama is just one of millions fooled by the anti-American propaganda planted decades ago by the KGB”
I agree with your incomplete list of general destruction, but you play it DOWN.
I think that statement IS the anti-American propaganda planted by the KGB. It plays down Obama’s contempt for and DELIBERATE destruction of this country and puts him in a poor-victim mode.
Stupid, so mostly harmless. I WISH! THAT we can survive! Malice from a 5th collumn.. maybe not.
The terrorists were “stupid”, right? Any red-kneck no’s bettern ta trah ta land a gall durn 747 on a gall-dern skah scrayper!
TWACE!
Wake me up out of my OWN bludgeoned stupor when we upgrade his destruction to what it IS.
The fulfillment of the symbolic promises made on 9/11.
All those sacred oaths taken to defend the Constitution. Not one of them unbetrayed except those taken by our men overseas.
The libiot left think this is a socialist coup. They’ll know when they say “uh.. Obama? you can stop bludgeoning them now.. we own them… hellooo? Obama? you can put down your fav boxcutter now…”
No Constitutional firewalls. The Sublime Court mocked by a racist activist La Raza member.
Obama mocks every principle the country stands for and antigonizes us to Civil War, which
he`ll just LOVE.. to promote his emergency powers and suspension of democracy.
While we idiots think BOY HOWDY are we ever gonna take him down next election…
If his whole arduous plan is to destroy targets of opportunity and antagonize unrest.. winning either way.. how can he “lose”?
And all this carte blanche under cover of dark skin..
He funds Brazillian offshore oil drilling @ $10 billion but shuts us down cold..
How exactly does that pan out for the whole global warming crisis crisis crisis crisis he inherited inherited inherited inherited?
He’s replaying the Great depression like a RECIPE. FDR poured fresh milk into the sewer and slaughtered milk cows to drive costs back up. Obama crushes perfectly decent cars to promote “growth”. The same “fairness” that created toxic money is amped up a thousand fold.
Destroyed cars.. Wheres the pity for the “poor” in THAT?
Our biggest industry.. medicine DESTROYED.
The U.S. dollar? Crushed into Obamabucks oblivion by the dumping of perfect counterfiets on ANYTHING that will never create jobs or wealth.
Buying product exclusively from China promotes jobs jobs jobs jobs, does it, Oblamer?
Americans. We HAVE TO WITHDRAW OUR CONSENT AT THE VERY LEAST.
Aug 8, 2009 - 8:20 pm 75. kabud:As the declaration of independence clearly states as our DUTY when confronted by despotic

Thank you, Oleg.
In 1998 a GRU colonel Lunev told a friend of mine the following:
“if you ever hear that a nuclear weapon is detonated on USA soil by `islamists`
never believe that bull-
it would’ve been us.”
He was not far from the truth, -
butg enemy created even better weapon of choice: passanger planes with living people on board
Colonel Lunev also testified twice to US Congress
both testimonies and many other critical documents are here

In #10, Pelaut said, “Also mention: the KGB hooked America on drugs from the 50s to the 80s.” I would also mention I read about a KGB memo around 1962 in which they recommended “promoting homosexuality as normal, even a positive, in schools” as a means of destroying American society. I forget where I found that, though. Somebody can likely find and corroborate it. Meanwhile, the communists ruthlessly suppressed all expressions of homosexuality in territories under their control. Seems they knew something they didn’t want us knowing.
