Obama Is Tanking: Is It Unemployment … or Is It Him?

Unemployment may be nearing 10 percent, but there seems to be more behind Obama's plunge in the polls. (Also read Roger L. Simon: Obama Shouldn’t Bash Bush; He Should Fire Rahm Emanuel)

The president is taking a nosedive in the polls.

Averages from Pollster.com and RealClearPolitics.com illustrate a dramatic decline in his approval rating and and an increase in disapproval marks. Among independent voters, the two lines are converging. In Rasmussen and Zogby, the two trend lines for all voters already have crossed.

As Sam Youngman reported, the last month has been the worst of Obama’s presidency:

The Obama administration, which was flying high a month ago after pushing through a climate change bill in the House, has since been dealt a series of setbacks and is struggling to regain its footing.

After the climate bill passed 219-212 on the afternoon of June 26, there was a feeling that the White House could get much of its agenda through Congress in 2009.

A month later, there are doubts that President Obama will even achieve his number one priority of health care reform, much less cap and trade, immigration reform, and a regulatory revamp of the financial sector.

There are two explanations — the economy or something more systemic. Ben Stein thinks it is the latter:

The American people in their unimaginable kindness and trust voted for a pig in a poke in 2008. They wanted so much to believe Barack Obama was somehow better and different from other ultra-leftists that they simply took him on faith. … Now, the American people are starting to wake up to the truth. Barack Obama is a super likeable super leftist, not a fan of this country, way, way too cozy with the terrorist leaders in the Middle East, way beyond naïveté, all the way into active destruction of our interests and our allies and our future.

There is significant support for this theory. Polls show the public thinks Obama is spending too much and taking on too much power. It is not hard to conclude that Obama has been caught trying to pull off a bait and switch — he ran as a moderate and is governing as a left-winger. With ample evidence that they have been conned, the voters are now registering their disapproval.

If one accepts this interpretation of events, Obama has two options — veer toward the political center or face an ongoing backlash against his ultra-liberal policies. And if one perceives the public is uneasy — if not resentful — that they have been snookered, then the 2010 congressional elections and the New Jersey and Virginia gubernatorial races this fall are chances to set things straight and put some restraint on the political extremism of the president.

Liberals hope this theory is wrong, of course. They imagine that the electorate realigned in 2008, the country is poised for a new New Deal, and the Democrats are on the verge of a new permanent majority. None of that is happening if it turns out the electorate didn’t actually vote for uber-liberalism and is now poised to seek a course correction.

It seems to me that there is a great degree of symmetry in the trajectories of the political fortunes – first upward, then downward – of many “phenoms.” Politicians who enjoy meteoric rises eventually suffer mirror-image, catastrophic falls. Perhaps it is attributable to the public’s susceptibility to faddism. Today’s sensation eventually morphs into someone who is “so 10 minutes ago.”

Politicians who rise slowly and steadily tend to have staying power. The ones who shoot quickly to the top – the so-called “rock stars” – often end up being the flavor of the month. (People not old enough to have experienced the “magic” of JFK’s Camelot, for example, don’t realize that he was no shoe-in for re-election in 1964. In death, he is lionized in ways he would not had he lived to a ripe old age.)

Obama’s initial success is not hard to fathom. The economy was crumbling; the GOP was in disarray; McCain ran a less-than-stirring campaign; and the political pendulum was due to swing left, anyway. All things considered, 2008 was probably destined to be the Democrats’ year.

Add to that Obama’s charismatic presence and the fact that he said all the right things, and his victory was all-but certain. But now his campaign rhetoric is losing its oomph, and he has to govern. And, in my reckoning (and the reckoning of an increasing percentage of the electorate), he rather sucks at it.

Boneheaded economic moves, handouts to preferred constituents, naked power grabs – all reveal The One to be something very less than a messiah. He might survive politically. Perhaps even gain a second term in office. But all can now see that he doesn’t walk on water.

“It would be a mistake to conclude Obama is permanently hobbled.”

The odds are that Barack Obama is permanently hobbled. Sensible and non-racist white people now realize that he truly wants to hurt them. That bridge has been permanently burned. Obama is also too poorly read and shallow. He received a mediocre education while attending Harvard University. The president, even if he is willing, cannot find the time to get his act together while residing in the White House. Moreover, Obama cannot stand to perform his normal executive responsibilities. They bore him to death. He prefers to be our country’s ideological cheer leader. Obama will probably not finish out his term in office. He will experience some sort of mental breakdown and hand the job over to Joe Biden.

“His large congressional majorities may well deliver some type of health care reform for which he can claim credit. And the economy will eventually rebound.”

This is why Republicans cannot be nonchalant. The regrettable fact is that the majority of Americans tend to believe “the government has to do something.” It will take a while longer to persuade them otherwise. Whether we like it or not, the “Roosevelt saved America during the Great Depression” idiocy is still widely held. As for the economy—it will only rebound if President Obama’s policies are defeated. He stands firmly in the way of progress. Obama should not receive even an ounce of credit for any economic rebound. That might be similar to thanking Jack the Ripper not murdering more victims.

Never in my wildest nightmare did I ever imagine the shredding of the Constitution and Bill of Rights, on almost a daily basis now.

So if the numbers keep nosediving and the press regains credibility (doubtful), will Oboma and his coconspirators back down and remain neutered for the next 4 years or will he declare some sort of state of emergency and pull a Chavez on the USA?

This man and his minions are truly frightening.

Jul 29, 2009 - 3:48 am 8. Shut Up and Die Creep:

“His large congressional majorities may well deliver some type of health care reform for which he can claim credit.” If they do that then they’ve just delivered the final death blow to their own careers too.

Underneath all of the unbelievable mess that is Obama a certain truth about the American people is finally waking up and emerging as “the controlling agent” that will, before it’s over preserve our nation, albeit with a few scars that says we should have used a better razor and warm shaving cream instead of a dull ax.

That truth is that we, Americans more so than any other nation on Earth will not let someone else take over control of our lives to the extent that we cannot fight back.

When the truth is stripped out of his charismatic shell of babbling and weasel wording, Obama is an ego driven authoritarian whose physic makeup demands that his voice is the only one in the room that people must listen to; even if he has to force that to happen.

Combine that personality into the body of a man whose life has been dedicated to hating America, white people and Jews, avenging the world’s – even our Creator’s unfairness to the black race and sustaining his own political stature as some sort of self-appointed God with dominion over everyone else; therein you have what the people actually elected and Congress has to deal with as our President.

“We the government, formed and dictated by our dear leader have determined that your quality of life index is now below our acceptable minimum level for medical assistance; Get out, Go home, Take this pill, Shut up and Die you worthless old creep!” has just euthanized Obama and, hopefully saved America.

In short, Mr. Obama, his ilk and minions misunderestimated what they thought to be their servants; the American people.

Jul 29, 2009 - 4:00 am 9. Donna V.:

Good comment, Mike, and let me add that the White House and MSM has overplayed their hand by overexposing him. Everytime you turn on CNN, there’s Obama giving a speech. Communication skills in a president are important, but after a while people start to wonder “This guy is always talking, but not actually doing.” (Personally, I’d much rather have Obama talk rather than do – he does less harm that way, but nonetheless, these great clouds of verbal gas are not helping him.)

If OBAMBI is the answer then the question must have been really STUPID

Jul 29, 2009 - 4:27 am 13. Libertyship46:

The big question is what is Obama going to do in 2010? Like Clinton, he will probably lose big time to the Republicans in the 2010 midterm elections. But Clinton adjusted his course in 1994 and went more to the center and was successful, especially with the help of a Republican-controlled Congress. It does not seem likely that Obama will ever do that. He’s too much of a liberal. Actually, he’s too much of a socialist and his determination to follow the European model in just about everything (from health care to cap and trade) will force him to pursue his ultra-liberal agenda. He will probably go down as badly, if not worse than, Jimmy Carter. Hopefully, Americans will have learned their lesson and next time will elect somebody who actually had some government experience (or at least executive experience) before making them President of the United States. One can only hope.

Approval polls are much like the stock market. Americans are fickle and suffer from an ADD malaise. All it matters is today. The past and the future are easily forgotten or not visualized.

The most disappointed people are ultra-liberals, RINOs and the unemployed. I don’t blame them because they are not getting their wishes, now.

Rahm Emanuel’s “strategy” is to push on multiple fronts at once, exactly what we’ve observed in these first months of Obama’s Presidency.

And so, in the spirit of hitting on all fronts at all times, the idea is to overwhelm with the nonstop freight train of measures in support of what might be called the democrat agenda of change, the idea being that at least some of the stuff will squeak through (as, indeed, the porkulus did and cap ‘n trade in the House…)

In what appears to be a philosophy of if you can’t dazzle ‘em with brilliance, baffle ‘em with bullsh!t, this all Obama all the time presidency has led some of us to quickly change the channel the instant his mug comes on the screen, which is, of course, every waking minute of every waking day :)

Overexposure and the ridiculous freight train called federal government, democrat double standards when it comes to enforcing “ethics”, are tiresome and revolting.

It could have been mildly entertaining, something new cropping up every day, if it weren’t our own federal government engaging in all these mindless shenanigans, thereby having ramifications far beyond simple entertainment.

In spite of the dreams of the socialist Left in this country the majority of Americans are simply NOT collectivists. We generally want to be left alone, don’t trust government, and are individualists. We have largely accepted the unconstitutional safety net put in place decades ago but the large middle class doesn’t want to be dependent on government except perhaps in an emergency. Most Americans also can see what the Left has done to CA, MI, NY, and most states where the Left has a stranglehold on government and are reluctant to go off that cliff.
If the Lefties at DKos, DU, et al want socialism then they are free to emigrate. The US is the last safe harbor against state tyranny and we need to preserve it at all costs.

When Obambi finally “wakes up” to the realization that his failed snake oil statesmanship is causing his slipping in the poles, I believe that it would not be unthinkable that he could engineer a horridness “Reichstag” type national emergency necessary to “stabilize” our country.
He will then be “forced,” from such and “emergency,” to take even more power when a “marshal law” type executive proclamation is enacted.

For our own safety you understand.

What happened last fall is analagous to a college party scene. There was plenty to drink and a participant awakens and the next morning, initially not sure where he is. He feels a warm body next to him and begins to realize he doesn’t know who it is. He tries to put the events together and can only join up fragments. He sees and smells the beer bottles, half consumed, some with cigarrette butts floating within. The sun is way too bright. ” Who is she ?” he thinks ” What did I do?” Some of it begins to bubble up in his brain. He starts to realize who it might be, to his horror.

My guess is that about 25% of the voters who voted for candidate Obama fell into this voter category. They are waking up and putting it together about now.

If your a women please adjust gender accordingly. The analogy still holds. Many didn’t really know who Obama was and what he believed. They fell for the media “story”.

Some of us took the time to do the research. We were not fooled. We are not surprised.

I think the perception that Obama is making things worse is the something “more” behind the poll dip. If unemployment was going up, but people thought it was doing so despite Obama’s best efforts, people would be more forgiving, I think. The fact that the “right track, wrong track” numbers have started moving back toward more thinking we are on the wrong track is the sign of this shift.

Mr. Obama is due to face some setbacks; all presidents do. We will need to watch carefully how he deals with failure. Will he examine his failures based on policy, or will it be all about him personally? If we see erratic behaviour and bizarre public statements, we’ll have evidence for a personality disorder.

I’m starting to lean toward David Thomson’s position. Before too long people will start questioning Mr. Obama’s mental fitness for office. Of course, at this point my exegesis is all hypothetical. I would prefer to be WRONG.

There are other factors that add to the continuing failure of the Obama administration:
- Obvious corruption in the tax-cheat appointments, pork-stimulus paybacks.
- Anti-American foreign policy abandoning allies & embracing enemies, while opposing freedom at every opportunity (Iran, Honduras, Israel)
- Racism against white Americans in his press conference statement for Gates, and his bigoted-Latina appointment to the Supreme Court.

As more Americans grasp an area of Obama’s mis-management of the economy/power grabs/corruption /racism /anti-American foreign policy, he can only inspire more opposition or open revolt if he implements his soft tyranny.

Put the two together, and he appears tone-deaf, out of his depth, doctrinaire, and arrogant.

Jul 29, 2009 - 6:30 am 36. Leigh T:

With luck, the lesson of the Obama presidency is that we Americans are just as susceptible to a charismatic idiot/danger as the Germans (Hitler), the French (Napoleon) and indeed just about every people at some point in time. While a large number may be waking up and smelling the coffee, there is also a large percentage of Obama supporters (regardless of race) who will never see or admit to themselves that this guy is bad news.

Obama got elected for much the same reason that Carter got elected.. to assuage a past wrong. With Carter, it was for Nixon with Obama, its for racism. And like Carter, his best days were at the very beginning. At least Carter led to Reagan.

Still, a lot of damage has been done and will continue. Best case scenario is that we learn a painful lesson. Americans have a dual edge to their collective “personality” One the one hand, we want to be in the cowboy in the white hat who saves the day and everyone loves us, including ourselves. That makes us a bit naive and vulnerable to shooting ourselves in the foot. On the other hand, we dont like being played for suckers either. The Civil Rights Movement played on the first aspect of the American psyche. While most of the changes, esp. in the beginning, were truly needed, since at least the late 70’s or so, we have been torn between wanting to be “good” but at the same time feeling like we are somehow being suckered. A good game player knows how far to take the game. Obama does NOT know this.

I think the blowback Obama suffered over the Gates affair is promising. Even 10 years ago, no one would have questioned accusations of racism sucessfully in cases between a white cop and a black suspect. That the cops pushed back and did so successfully (as the facts were on their side) gives me hope. Obama tends to stick his foot in it big time, which is good because it wakes people up.

Because this is going to be a concern for some time, (and because it’s not an unusual misspelling) I’m going to take the opportunity, if I may, to identify “martial law” as the monster you refer to.

Since he and his thugs are willing to lie about the economy, about the real problems of the auto companies (think unions, for starters), about the health care of all American citizens, about our military’s character and actions….it’s a very, very small jump for him to lie about something that supposedly requires domestic military action (for a manmade disaster, probably)…and then we’re in for it.

I’m not too confident that things well get better in 2010, 2012 and beyond. Forty years of a “Great Society” resulted in a huge chunk of the population perfectly happy with the status quo. They want Daddy government to take care of them using other peoples’ money. And they vote.

Blacks, with their 70% out-of-wedlock birth rates (among other pathologies), voted for Democrats 90% of the time prior to Obama, they’re not changing. Hispanics and low-income Whites are determined to match that bastardization rate, with the resulting consequence of a permanent Democratic majority. America as Detroit writ large.

Thank you modern liberals. You destroyed the Black family and you’re determined to wreck the rest of the country.

We probably know less about the man Barack Obama than we have any other president in history. His unsavory associations were dismissed as either youthful indiscretions or unimportant relations he had to maintain in Chicago. The witholding of his academic records was unquestioned. Even the two autobiographies (two? for a 47-year old?)were only seen as proof of his brilliance, not cause for alarm (white man’s greed ignores a world in need.)

When the mask slips and people see the race hustler, the grievance-monger that is our president, they don’t like what they see. The lapdog media can’t filter that out.

I don’t watch him much anymore. But, one thing that really is starting to annoy me about the Kenyan is his inability to communicate. His only answer, most of the time, is the words that someone else wrote for him to say. And, even then, the rythmic movement of his head to read from both screens makes me feel like the guy watching a tennis match. So, he is tanking as most folks (not blacks, however) realize what a nothing guy he is. That’s why his country of birth will become a much bigger deal and will not go away just because the commies belittle anyone who mentions it.

Good analogy, Samizdat. I think it’s more like this:

Couple: We hear you’re a gifted contractor. Our kitchen is a wreck. What can you do?

Couple: Would you look at those pictures, Honey! Magnificent, but we couldn’t afford it. What!? Someone else will pick up most of the cost??

Couple: Can we get started right away then? Could you maybe take a look at some of the other rooms?

Couple (day 2): Whoa. The kitchen looks different alright. Where are the appliances? What do you mean they’ve been “redistributed”?

Couple (day 3): What are you doing out here tearing up the flooring? We just put that in two years ago? Are you just going to leave the kitchen a mess?

Couple (day 5): Where’s our house? What do you mean we need to live in a yurt and cook with Sterno?

I think it was P.T. Barnum who said; ‘You can fool some of the people all the time, and all the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time’.
A true fact. Socialism was tried many times in the 20st century. EVERY time it produced misery and death in large amounts.
Here is another cliche for you; “Those that refuse to learn from history are doomed to repeat it”. The current depression started the same way as the great depression. Bad Paper. The name has changed to ‘derivatives’ but the idea is the same. Sell what is worthless by dividing the lack of worth among many buyers, so that when the con ends, the loss is shared among many.
Many times in the 20th century Socialist governments tried to buy their way out of a depression by printing money. That NEVER worked. It did create a condition called hyper-inflation. The current depression is following the same flight path as the great depression. A dip followed by a leveling off, followed by another dip and another leveling off. Each iteration is a little lower then the previous one. Each leveling off produces sighs of relief as the clueless proclaim the worst is past. Each dip produces cries for more money to be printed.
There is no data on how long the cycles can go on. It is inevitable that a government in such a position turn to war.

The Usurper’s administration is just as clueless as it’s predecessor. When their theory doesn’t work, they look for an excuse instead of a new theory. Their problem is that it is the public that bears the pain. Those citizens are not willing to wait until everything is destroyed.
That is where the danger lies. When the misery index gets above 25 or so, the Usurper will be in danger of losing his office. Then we will find out if he is willing to go gracefully into the night, or not.
I fear not, since he will go down as the worst President EVER. The temptation to declare an emergency and dismiss Congress will be overwhelming. Not sure Berry has the moral fiber to resist.

1GoodDaddy 22: Bingo!! Obama has alread shown that he will fire (IGs), humiliate(Joe the Plumber), lecture and control(OMB director) those who do not play his game. His wanting a civilian corps much like ACORN/SEIU is terrifying.

I believe he would use martial law to quell any uprising that sought to either defend America or oust him from office. His ego and narrcissism are too great; he is a classic meglomaniac.

And with the compliant MSM, zombie-like Obama worshiping blacks and self-loathing white Americans (DS, AS, Shadow, et al) solidly behind him, even if he loses the House and or Senate, he can and will still do great harm to our nation. More so because he will then be doing things out of revenge.

PegC: “His popularity and election were based on ephemera that has dissipated. He cannot get it back; it was never real.” You are thinking rationally when rationality was abandoned as was common sense in the last election. It was all too real to blacks and the MSM. And neither group will relenquish their faith in him.

Jul 29, 2009 - 7:06 am 53. MarkButter in SoCal:

His numbers were bound to come down. I think several things are at play and one is he had a different story to each audience last year when he tailored his campaign. Wherever you stood, whether it be closing Gitmo, “transparency,” telephone interception, not red not blue the United States of America, healthcare, cap-n-trade, each member of that audience took away with them (or read) that he was going to “fix” their believed part of the problem. In short, he over promised.

Now that it has come time to govern, things are different but also people look around and realize not only did he not deliver on what he promised to them individually. This is important because if you voted for him based on your “problem” it would be one thing to look around and say well, he did this or that and is batting .500 and he’ll get to mine or at least he did some of the things he spoke about but it’s those crummy Republicans not allowing him to do more. His problem today is that people look around and see he hasn’t done anything so individually and collectively they feel burned.

Second, even though his mug is constantly on the TV, people have grown weary because they don’t believe he is fighting the fight because there are so many balls in the air. You never want to have a “single purpose presidency” but when you’re out there speaking you need to appear as though you are fighting for that one thing you believe in and are willing to take it to the finish line. His hand-off approach to the stimulus plan, ditto his cap-n-trade and now healthcare, people believe he’s just in it for the ride only to jump in at the end and claim he was driving all along. Following his apology tour(s), people ask themselves what is he working on and if the response is healthcare many people would say no, congress is working that. Cap-n-tax, no. Congress already passed that without his help. And when the news say he had the blue dogs, repubs, independents, etc, at the WH, people ask themselves why hasn’t he been doing this all along? In short, no leadership. Just because your mug is on TV doesn’t mean you’re leading.

Third, it was said time and again, but this guy didn’t run anything other than run for office prior to his election. He dabbled here, dabbled there, did a little of this a little of that and then moved on. When serious heavy lifting was required I can’t recall him being anywhere. He typically rode the crest of the wave. He’s probably a very persuasive guy in private and when he spoke nationally each audience member felt as though he was speaking with to them. That works as long as things don’t intersect but once you’re president both have to be the same. They’re not and people are catching on.

Finally, sorry for the long post, the media will continue until their dying day to block for him. Why? They feel that they were bamboozled by Bush reagarding Iraq and in essence did a mea culpa. They aren’t going to admit that again when they invested so much. They can get away with saying Bush lied. They can’t get away with saying Obama lied without looking as though they are utterly useless to present the news because they already claimed that excuse. Going back and saying “he said this and now he’s doing that” when it was quite apparent that’s what he had been doing along except for a period of two years of talking when running for president. They are in a free fall now and to do so would be an admission that they didn’t do their jobs. You can only use that excuse once (if you’re lucky) and still have respect of your market. You can’t do it twice and expect to be believed going forward.

The rubes? Gay rights people expecting immediate gay marriage everywhere. Marijuana smokers expecting drug legalization. Civil libertarians expecting all of those Bush-era things like warrantless wiretapping and Homeland Security to disappear in a puff of smoke, and Gitmo to be closed immediately. Anti-war protesters expecting the troops to be pulled from Iraq and Afghanistan on January 21st. Everyone who expected that Obama was gonna give them a free lunch. (You can get a free beer, but only if Obama insults you and then drops in the polls.) All of those folks voted for The Won and now are saying, “Hey, wait a minute! What about all that stuff you promised us? What about Hope and Change? You’re no better than Bush, and you’ve spent a lot more of our grandchildren’s money than he did!”

The scales are starting to fall away from the eyes of the rubes, and that’s why his numbers are tanking.

No, he IS permanently hobbled. Once people take back their willing suspension of disbelief and see the fellow who claims to have been born in Hawaii as the smooth and glib “face man” that he really is, they’ll never look at him the same way again.
Now is when we find out what the Alleged Hawaiian is REALLY made of…what kind of moxie he has.
And this is why character counts when you’re choosing a president. Judging by his prior record in public office, I suspect that a whole bunch of people are going to be horrified and another whole bunch are going to be vindicated in the assessments they made in 2008.

“His large congressional majorities may well deliver some type of health care reform for which he can claim credit.”

Pardon me, but which of Obama’s or Congress’ grand initiatives from the Inauguration to date have enjoyed such wild popularity that you see incumbent candidates trampling all over each other to claim credit for?

Cap n’ Trade?
Auto Takeover?
Stimulus?
Foreign policy?

Some of these may have some traction in local and regional arenas, but on a national scale, they’re toxic.

The sad fact is that Liberal policies can, like Marxism, sound seductively wonderful…until you crash headlong into the details of how much they are going to cost and how well they are going to perform their stated functions.

But when you talk like this you damage the hell out of our credibility. The press takes YOUR comment from among hundreds and uses it to discredit all the rest of us.

Obama was born in Hawaii. That is indisputable, unless you think that somehow 47 years ago some cabal decided to run this baby as a Manchurian candidate in 2008 and had the foresight to publish a fake squib in the birth section of the local Hawaiian paper, noting the event and his parents and their address.

Although I researched Obama and came to despise him early on, there was one small glimmer of hope from his speech at the 2004 democrat convention. He said black students had to apply themselves and stop thinking “acting white” is wrong. I thought maybe he could break through and smash the ghetto culture.

The only thing black about this 1/8th black member of a muslim tribe (the Luo) is he was abandoned by his father and raised by his grandparents. He is another race hustler as the Gates thing proved.

So sad, because he had the opportunity to tell blacks the difference between “law” and “authority”. He could have told them never to flee, mouth-off or combat authority, because you have the laws of the U.S. on your side and you can defend yourself later in court. The lives of black people are lost quite frequently because of race pimps like Obama stoking fear and conspiracy to make money for themselves.

I believe that the American public has many dimensions and that each dimension has its own following. Example, healthcare; there are a lot of folks, especially senior citizens, who are watching and are very concerned with HC’s future. There are those in the financial markets who are concerned. Automobile manufacturing, national security, homeland security, unemployment, governmental integrity and the list grows daily. Obviously some of these issues overlap and all may be of concern to some of us. To try to pin down whether it is him or his policies is very hard to do since they are so intwined. Lets just hope that we all can agree that this clown needs to GO!!!

I have no confidence that the more dire predictions about a power grab by Buraq Hussein Obama are not accurate. The “cornered and wounded animal” simile above is accurate. The odds of the 2010 elections being honestly counted, or even happening at all are not good. Consider, that after the summer recess, when for the first time members of Congress are going to have to face their constituents about what they have done; that they are going to be very, very, afraid. Unless ACORN/COI goon squads attack the constitutuents; every meeting is going to be like the one that Claire McCaskill’s staff had yesterday. 1000+ people tearing them new bodily orifii over Obamacare, 25 there in support. While the media gave better than equal coverage to the 25; if there are honest elections they cannot reverse the votes.

Our media and political [both parties] elites have avoided all of the trauma of the economic collapse. They intend to continue to do so. The politicians, especially Democrats, would be more than willing to finally shred the Constitution to hold on to power.

I disagree with Ms. Rubin about the media possibly turning on the Democrats. The only way that their elites can avoid economic collapse is if they accept open government subsidies and formalize the employer-employee relationship with the government. That will not happen if the Democrats lose absolute power. They have lost their credibility happily. They will not lose their wealth or their claim to power.

We are in a lull. I suspect that in the next year to two years the “Cold Civil War” we have been in for decades will heat up. And we will determine if we are a nation ruled by our Constitution, or by whatever regime is in power.

… AND once again, America will fall in line…

Our elected officials will be home for a “break” soon. Please go to their rallies, meetings etc. Ask them if they read the stimulus bill…have they read all the medial plan? If they backtrack, find out WHY!!!. From what I have read it is very complicated, so was the stimulus bill. What other bills have been passed that we are not fully aware of that they backed?

It needs to be mandatory that elected officials live by the laws/plans they vote in for the general public.

they should report to their district via newspaper how they voted and why..on the FRONT PAGE, NOT section z page 42 in fine print

“and a 96% vote by RACIST Blacks.”

So. Blacks are racist because they voted for a black man?

Were the Irish-American and Catholics who voted for JFK racists?

Any Southerner who voted for Carter or Clinton?

How about all those white Americans who voted for another white American? Up until Obama, I think the percentages was 100%.

Until Gore came along, didn’t favorite sons usually win their home states? Were all of them racists and bigots, or just proud of their “home boy”?

What is the difference between: “if white people voted against him, they’re racists” and “if black people voted for him, they’re racists” Sounds the same to me – unfounded charges based on your dislike of their decision.

Me, I’m black. I voted against Obama because I didn’t like his politics, his associates and his lack of experience. I don’t have to call anyone racist, just for coming to a different decision or because they voted in the same manner as myself, but have a different skin color.

If you want to blame voting for Obama on anything, blame it on willful ignorance of the issues involved. You don’t have to be a racist to vote stupidly.

Obama’s and Congress’ poll numbers are dropping because of both them and the economy, because Obama and Congress are being seen as inheriting a bad situation and making it worse.

As to the birth certificate, I want to see it myself. What is most troubling is that although the Constitution has requirments to be eligible to be President, the Constitution has no requirment to actually prove one’s eligibility before becoming President. The lawyers found the loophole.

Jul 29, 2009 - 10:35 am 104. homero:

aside from the artical, why are his numbers dropping. REALITY

…but that doesn’t answer the question posed by so many of the comments. how did he and the others … Pelosi etc ever get elected.

it is simple in a way. the leftist crowd tells the people what they want to hear (even when it is an outright lie) and the rightists try to tell them the truth.

…that is a bit simplistic but it works.

at any given point the electorate is comprised of a variety of ideologies.

there is a large and growing group that doesn’t want to work at getting wealth but still crave it. they vote for the left because if nothing else the left tax those with wealth and this group (that cann’t get wealth without working) they love to see those with it (wealth) suffer.

there is the commited leftists, many who have wealth (example G. Soros, movie stars the talking heads of MSM) ..they always vote leftist (and use their influence to persuade others)

Why anyone who owns a house or wishes to would vote left is just plain stupid. (you are the enemy of the left and will be taxed for your transgrestion)

…that leaves the deminishing conservatives group …who are trying to pay a mortagage and raise a family. …they don’t have time for things like protesting taxes and getting mobilised to fight one bill or another. (O-bum-As’ overreach may mobilise them)

…but the left has the time and they tap into government funds to support and pay for there programs and protests. they have special interest groups (ACORN or one of the hundred other names it operates under) ..they have time for voter fraud and intimidation, as well as a need for it since most conscious people don’t support that type of crap.

#96 Mike: Thanks for not voting for Obama. Please read my analysis below.

When the term RACISM or RACIST is used, it is implied it can ONLY be WHITE on MINORITY (usually black). In order to capture the true nature of recent events, I suggest introducing TWO NEW TERMS to our vocabulary.

One term is BLACK RACIST – where privileges are granted to one race and not to another. And, the “privileged” race uses this to their advantage over the other, including BLAME.

For example, President OBAMA criticized the cop and defended Gates without knowing FACTS. The president further suggested ALL (white) Cops are prejudiced.

RACISM exhibited by SENATOR BOXER towards Harry Alford during Climate Change hearings is defined as LIBERAL RACISM.

That’s when a liberal holds condescending views of another race WHICH HOLDS DIFFERING POLITICAL VIEWS.

There, you have it – Black Racism, Liberal Racism, not to be confused with plain old Racism.

There may be another explanation for the decline in Obama’s approval ratings. In an age of envy, hero worship is an alien emotion for many people. Part of what we’re seeing may simply be a reversion to hatred among the low-lifes who voted for him.

If the Left’s past brainwashing tactic of conditioning people to hate the President is coming back to haunt them, then Obama needs a focal point for hatred other than himself, to avoid becoming another George Bush. That doesn’t bode well for the future.

Now that Obama’s in trouble and there’s blood in the water, a profit opportunity exists for celebrity gossip rags to package Obama’s self-destructive spiral for mass consumption at the supermarket checkout. To be laid low by the invisible hand of the market would be a fitting end for a Marxist.

That is indisputable, unless you think that somehow 47 years ago some cabal decided to run this baby as a Manchurian candidate in 2008 and had the foresight to publish a fake squib in the birth section of the local Hawaiian paper, noting the event and his parents and their address.”

Evidence please! A Notice of birth is NOT evidence of anything other then someone spending the 5 (or 10) dollars to have a notice published. That Manchurian candidate nonsense is a red herring, nothing more.
There are dozens of reasons why someone with an illegitimate child born in Kenya would pay to have a birth notice posted in the Newspaper. Social Programs, such as the ones that put Berry thru College. None of which have anything to do with being POTUS. Rumor is that the CIA has a birth certificate. From Kenya with Berry’s little foot print on it. They are saving it for the final showdown with Fancy Nancy. Notice how that controversy has been moved to the back burner. A complicit media indeed.
The Address on the Birth crtificate has been researched and shown to have NO Connection to Berry or his mom. It is in an upper class, swanky part of town. Not the sort of place an unwed, unemployed mother could afford.
BTW, it is technically possible to fake that newspaper article. I don’t think that happened because it would leave a witness and open the door to blackmail, but it is technically possible.
All these are side issues, the main issue is why Berry won’t allow access to his BC. Just give the State of Hawaii permission to give a certified copy to Every news organization that is willing to pay the fee and there would be no controversy. So Why wasn’t that done? What is Berry hiding? Does he really think this issue will go away?
After Berry leaves office, a copy WILL be gotten. Even if it means sending in the Marines. If that copy shows that Berry is not a Natural Born Citizen, then EVERYTHING he did while in the Oval Office will be null and void. It will be a big time mess, with whole new jails built just to hold the perps. Everybody will be running around saying; “I had no idea”. Ignorance is not recognized as a valid legal defense.

Jennifer:

“… or Is It Him?”

Having talked with people who voted for Obama, I understood that they voted for him with the expectation that he would be responsible and capable. They claimed his superior intellect would give him the ability to successfully address a broad range range of issues.

Despite present evidence that Obama’s understanding and judgment is very weak, I don’t expect average Obama voters to lower their regard for Obama’s intellect. There is not enough time in the day for the average person to assemble the information that would persuade them that Obama does not posess the intellectual skills that he attempts to portray with his rhetoric. If people still believe that he is smart, then they will trust him to the extent that they believe what he says, but have doubts whether or not his judgement is wise.

If Obama still has the benefit of the doubt, it is possible that the recent slide in Obama’s approval is mostly related to his performance, versus his character. There is no escaping the fact that the economy did not improve ‘immediately’, as the Democrats claimed after the stimulus. That is a clear failure that is a litmus test for the increasingly unemployed. Obama’s continued prosecution of the war in Afghanistan is another litmus test for many Democrats. The undeniable fiscal irresponsbility is a litmus test for many independents.

When would Obama’s character start to become an issue in the polls? I suspect he will begin to grate on people as he loses confidence in his administration. It takes a lot of good news to support Obama’s ego. When he realizes that he cannot solve the country’s problems with the policies his administration has chosen, he will become increasingly negative, he will offer increasingly implausible excuses, and ask for increasingly illogical sacrificies.

This behavior is predictable, because Obama only knows rhetoric, he does not know what sacrifice means and what constitutes good character. He most definitely does not posess the intellect necessary to perform the broad range of tasks that a President must perform. His incompetence will frustrate him probably more than we currently can imagine — that is when the polls will reflect negatively on Obama’s character.

The NYT has released a poll showing the President is subject to “political gravity”.

Let’s make sure that the Democrats in Congress hear from consituents about WHY we don’t want the socialist health care proposal in it’s various forms. Contact your Congress person by letter or personal email, be respectful and specific about why you don’t like it. Offer up what you like about US health care as it is.

When they return from the August recess let’s make sure they have a clear picture of our profound critisism of the various socialized proposals.

We must make repeated contact with Congress so they will understand. These people as a group are not terribly astute and don’t have much character. We will need to be persistent and articulate so they eventually understand. I estimate the collective IQ in Congress to be right around 100, that goes for both parties by the way. Their ethical proclivities are not much more than situational. Be loud and clear.

Complaining without acting is not fulfilling our responsibilities to ourselves and future generations.I have already made repeated contact with my Congress person. I have little hope for her, IQ is about 80. However, she sings the old Soviet national anthem beautifully.

Jul 29, 2009 - 8:20 pm 139. ET:

There’s been a lot of complaints about Obama’s insistence on the Health Care vote being held without full debate and importantly, without the time to read the 1,000 plus pages.

Obama is ’smarting’ from the criticism. In his Town Hall today, he walked around, telling everyone that ‘OF COURSE, the Congress will get the time to read it! They’ll be able to take it home for August, and read it!’

But wait – he wanted them to pass it by this weekend. Now he’s mocking those who rose up and criticized him and said that he must give people time to read it.

He’s even trivializing reading the bill.

He showed this by his repeated almost mocking statements of ‘of course, (sigh) they can take all the time they want to read it’ (sigh). This suggests that there is something wrong with the Congressman who needs all this time and doesn’t trust His President.

What this really means to Obama is that it meant that no-one TRUSTED him. This is important. By insisting on your right and duty to read the bill, it shows that you don’t trust him. Obama doesn’t like this; he wants you in his control. Notice how he did this.

First, by his belittling and trivializing the act of reading it – by his saying in a mocking and despairing voice..’they’ll have the whole month to read it (sigh)’…which suggests an impatient parent.

Second, by then going on and saying..”And then they can come back to Washington and ask ME questions about it. And I can go over it with them, line by line, and answer all their questions”. Again, this is the voice of the superior parent.

This suggests that questions arise ONLY out of the Congress member’s adolescent stubborn ignorance to ‘do it on his own’ instead of being guided by The Wise Man.

The man’s arrogance knows no bounds.

Jul 29, 2009 - 9:26 pm 141. Kipling:

While it is true that dropping poll numbers might hobble or even force an administration responsive to the people to change course, we must remember that Mr. Obama and his administration are not responsive to the people. They despise the “people” and think only the liberal intelligentia like themselve should rule. They undermine democracy and the power of the people at every turn while claiming to be the champions of the people. Several cases in point come to mind. First, the massive and bureucratic Executive Branch. Bureaucracies are by definition not responsive to the will of the people. A large part of President Bush’s problem was that he failed to clean house when he took charge and instead allowed lefties from the Clinton years to remain in control. Although Bush has won the democratic contest these lefties undermined the will of the people by undermining his policies. Second, Mr. Obama’s appointment of so many czars. These czars control massive areas of policy and yet they are unelected and accountable only to Mr. Obama. Third, Mr. Obama’s willingness to lie to, threaten, and bribe his opponents, especially Blue Dogs in his own party to get his policis passed. Finally, Mr. Obama purposefully violates the nature of the legislative process by ramming monster bills that few will read through Congress. Congress is supposed to be about debate and deliberation not rubber-stamping massive fiats from the glorious leader.

Our best hope is to change the tide in 2010 by electing conservatives who will undermine Mr. Obama’s Congressional support. In 2012 we need to not only win the Presidency but to begin the systematic removal of liberals from positions in the government where they can thwart he will of the people. We should follow that up by aggressively dismantling the liberal legal and regulatory structure and let Americans breath free again.

Or even realize that the “Camelot” meme wasn’t coined until after the assassination.

Jul 29, 2009 - 9:53 pm 143. rachel peepers:

Obama Is Tanking: Is It Unemployment … or Is It Him?

Is this multiple choice? A or B?

As everybody with a public school education knows, the two choices are not mutually exclusive.

Indulge Rachel if you will. Think of it this way.

In the last year or so of the Bush administration, especially, there was a perception, more real than imagined, that things were unraveling. Democrats, Dodd and Franks, had successfully created the sub prime lending mess, and the bad credit borrowing house of cards was starting to fall down like dominoes.

Still, unemployment was low, inflation was too, but the stock market was hurting. Globally, the United States was still considered the unflappable, yet despised by many, leader of the free world. In Iraq, while Reid and Palosi were calling the war lost, the surge was effectively winning it.

Barack Obama, agreeing the war was lost, stated in no uncertain terms that the surge would fail.

A George Washington/David Petraeus he’s not.

Actually, when it comes to anything military, Barack, if attached to a lie detector would admit that he’s like a professional dancer calling plays in the super bowl. As talented as he is doing the Washington two step, he wouldn’t have a clue. Plus, while Barack doesn’t hate football, he’s not really into it.

What Barack does hate is soldiering.

You wouldn’t be off base if you said that Barack despises the military. Anything that’s potentially physical and violent right down to being an officer of the law, Barack seems to have a knee jerk distrust of and bottled up hate for.

Unfortunately for the country, 53% of the voting public didn’t give two hoots in hell how Barack felt about the military. They, for the most part, had no stomach for the war in Iraq and wanted out.

The cashew (really assorted) nut/left voting block (not the black vote) actually hoped the United States would lose the war in Iraq. Although I don’t fully understand how any American would want us to lose a war, I can understand why this feeling became so pronounced among not just the nuts.

The biased, anti-America, ethically challenged slave media if you will, fed the “Bush lied, people died/what do we back? a loss in Iraq” mantra every day.

Consequently, snatching victory from the jaws of defeat helped the Republicans not a whit in the election.

Heavens to Betsy, when the surge turned the war tide, the mainstream media clammed up about the war faster than John Edwards pants dropped every time he was alone with Rielle Hunter.

Most who voted for Obama thought he would fix the economy. And hoped he would because Obama said our economy was close to being on its death bed.

So Obama’s brain trust decided to bail out the banks, a move many working Americans instinctively didn’t buy into, but went along with. And why not? The slave press was giving them verbal and written permission.

Obama attacked high paid executives and used them as scapegoats to foster us versus them thinking. Barack realized it’s easy to hate people who get six and seven digit bonuses and golden parachutes. And Barack made the most of it.

The we had Stimulus I.

Politically, it was designed to do two things.

One, repay supporters with millions of dollars, much of which has gone into buying up devalued real estate. And, two, funnel millions into the black electorate, his voting base, though various, nefarious business fronts and “community organizations”. In the ranks of the NAACP, these were the reparations Barack promised in whispered tones under the table.

Stories of these surges of minority monetary disbursements, of course, began leaking.

Which made the mainly white naive Obama voter uncomfortable. Not upset mind you. Just one Ativan uncomfortable. The media, of course, heard them too, but mum was the word.

This mainly white Obama voter,(the people who turned the election) honestly believing Obama would be good for their country, continued to go along with the program.

Polls showed it.

But in late May/early June, 2009, an unease began nagging at them; a fibromyalgia of the mind that started to seep into their very marrow.

They were hearing about ObamaCare which the media narrative said “would reduce costs by taking over the entire health care system.” (Michael, PJM)

Now onto a little economics.

Please, don’t go to sleep on me. It’s not that painful.

The Keynesian economics that was taught in schools for sixty or so years basically argued that the free enterprise system needed a certain amount of government intervention to keep it working. Eg. interest rate adjustments and such.

Made a lot of sense to a lot of people except for some economists like Art Laffer who cautioned against too much government interference with a free economy, especially taxes as a way to increase revenue.

Then we had what amounted to ObamaNomics. Spending our way out of a recession was his RX for our economy. “It boils down to spending money faster so as a country we don’t go broke.” (Michael, PJM)

This made that white working class voter block not just uncomfortable, but downright fidgety. But nobody was jumping ship.

“Then Obama sent up a trial balloon about creating an internet, media czar bureaucrat to control speech because citizens like you and me sometimes need to be nudged into correct thinking. (”Don’t listen to that horrible Rush”). (Michael, PJM)

Obama’s white voter, unfortunately for Barack, thought the balloon was filled with a little too much hot air. “Did I help elect a buffoon?”

When was the tipping point? When did the BS alarm go off?

When did the Obama voter start rolling their eyes at Obama’s yakety yak?

Well, the immensely talented Jennifer Rubin posits that Obama voters began deserting Obama when employment numbers started going down like… (you can fill in my metaphor).

I believe it was when co-workers started having their hours cut back.

When people started having their own hours cut back, the Obama shine was really rubbing off the apple.

When people started losing their own jobs, I think many, many people started realizing they’d been hoodwinked by the smooth talking brown eyed handsome man.

The fainting, gushing crowds of the primary season were starting to come to their senses. Unemployment in winter is a near death experience.

Polling numbers now show people are jumping ship. Scared angry people looking for jobs feel the fear in the pit of their stomachs that they’ll have a hard time putting food on the family table.

Earlier I said that Barack had kept hateful feelings for the military and police bottled up inside.

Well, I believe the angry outburst at Cambridge officer, Sgt. James Crowley, one of the best and brightest in the whole of law enforcement, was, in Rachel’s view, the top popping off of Barack’s mental bottle.

Who can feel good about a President who cost them their job due to his overbearing, stubborn, prideful bumbling incompetence or malevolent monetary giveaways (political paybacks)?

Who can feel good about a President who, without any facts, blasts a public servant for doing a dangerous job the best way he knows how?

Who can continue to support a President who lies to your face about earmarks, about tax increases, about the certainty of his programs. Obama promised to take us down the yellow brick road of prosperity.

Folks, the sign post up ahead says ruination highway. Maybe we should all get out at the next stop light.

Really? What does it say about me? That I like alcohol? Yes, I do. It makes me feel warm and relaxed. I might even say convivial if I knew what that meant. Does it say I think we overspend on defense? Yes, I do. Pulling the plug on the F-22 was the best thing we could have done. I don’t see any bodies lying in our American streets as a result of that decision. Does it say I have no respect for arbitrary ideologues who advance ridiculous claims by whining that the only real victims in this country are white, middle-aged male insurance executives? Yes, it does.

Here’s a question: How long did it take for the economy to respond to Reagan’s questionable policies? (Here’s a hint: It wasn’t six months.)

Stick to the birth certificate and tea party and mavericky thing. Leave genuine governance to us adults. We’ll let you know when you can come out of your double-wide bunkers and start benefitting again from our hard work. I mean, that’s what conservatives do – let everybody else do the defending and building of this great nation and then step in at the last minute wearing a flag pin and carrying a Big Gulp blathering about the principles of our founding fathers, which they know nothing about.

Until then, tell all your senior friends that we’ve decided to abolish their Medicare. They should be fine with that, knowing how they hate socialism and all.

Can I just ask this question of people?

The birth announcement in the Honolulu Adviser that I keep seeing is merely a scan of a newsprint announcement, does anyone have a pic/scan of the full page original?

The issue here is that in this day and age with the resources availiable to Obama and Democrats, $426 million in campaign funds alone, it would not be difficult to easily forge such an announcement. That is a problem we face today, as technology increases the ability to forge documents becomes easier. Common criminals do it all the time with identity theft, imagine what they could do if they had the resources of hundreds of millions of dollars, George Soros’ billions, and government/political/media cronies to assist them.

When you have Federal, State, and local officials willing to abuse their power (think Joe the Plumber’s personal records) for a man who was not even President what then would they be willing to do for a him when he holds our highest office and has a super majority in Congress? When the MSM who is supposed to be unbiased and the “watch dog” of government has become its lap dog and worked very hard to get that man elected? When charges of voting fraud were rampant against an organization whom Obama worked for, supported him in the election, and is now set to potentially receive billions in government funds as repayment?

People have a right to be skeptical, to doubt, and to demand the truth. Too much stinks to high Heaven, and many of the critics and nay-sayers of those demanding the transparency promised sole point in all the criticism boil down to these two basic statements. “Trust your Government and the people in power, they wouldn’t lie and they ALWAYS have your best interests at heart” and “its impossible that fraud could occur on that level, thus you’re wackos for demanding transparency.”

Both are terribly naive in light of scandals and actions od politicians both past and present. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and walks like a duck chances are its a duck. If you’ve got nothing to hide yet spend $1 million dollars and political power to hide things, chances are you’ve got something to hide.

Errr, more Hope and Change!”), a poor thinker (anyone who can barely manage “uuuumms” and “aahhhs” when stranded without a teleprompter either has a speech impediment, which O. doesn’t, or isn’t too sharp), abysmally ignorant of American and world history, naive to the point of childishness about foreign affairs, poorly educated and intellectually incurious, spouting ideas about economics which would embarrass even Karl Marx, just another goddamn lawyer (seriously, do we need yet another one in Washington?), and was little more than an affirmative action (not his fault, that) race-baiter (which IS his fault) with really alarming, not to mention criminal, friends. All that was obvious enough long before the election.

But with GatesGate, we’ve seen political ineptitude of an incredible order. It was a planted question, and he still bungled it. I was surprised at his appalling cabinet picks – does he know anyone who isn’t a tax cheat? But GatesGate was an even bigger clanger than that, and he walked into it deliberately. I’m starting to think that this guy’s problem is that he’s simply monumentally stupid. And, of course, he’s going to stay that way for the rest of the term.

Fortunately for us, malevolent and stupid is much better than malevolent and smart.

Holy cow have you looked at the rest of the numbers for Democrats in general?

That’s the first time I have EVER seen the Rasmussen generic report that bad for Dems.

Up till now I have just been steeling myself for an 8 year run of Democrats but they are tanking so fast Republicans need to start getting ready sooner.

OBAMA HATES WHITES

I was flying in Vietnam for three years. During Those years I flew an Army psychologist to interview the black kids who “fragged” their white officers. In 1969 there were 269 such attacks and, over all, 1400+ white officers were murdered by unhappy young blacks during the years we were in Vietnam.

The point of the interviews was to find out why this was happening and make it stop. The interviewer advised the murderers that he was trying to develop a group defense which was far from the truth. The army just wanted this stopped. In the end, all the killers went to Leavenworth or were sadly shot “while trying to escape”.

The psychologist administered a 600 question multiple choice verbal test to all the prisoners. He also asked the same questions of many black officers and black pentagon employees. The results were troubling to say the least. No amount of petitioning under the Freedom of Information act will pry the findings out of the dark cellars of the pentagon. I know, I tried! They will tell you that no such study was ever carried out and there are no such findings.

In discussions during the flights I discussed the test results of with my passenger and learned something of his findings. Ready for this? Maybe what I learned will surprise you, maybe not! In 1969 it did me but, back then I wasn’t so wise in the ways of men and the world. It turns out that, regardless of age or education, all blacks raised in the States have a deep seeded hatred of whites. There are 3 principal repeating urges expressed by all those tested. 1) Kill all white men, 2) Rape all white women and 3) burn down everything the white man has built. This racial hatred runs deep and is ingrained into the American black culture. Every black individual and all black groups, to an overt or less overt degree, share these dark feelings including the Black Caucus in Congress, the NAACP, the Black Panthers, PUSH, etc., etc.

The better educated blacks and those who have risen to high positions in white society have more or less buried these feelings under a cultural veneer but, no matter how deeply buried, it is still there…… Race batting is real and we all have seen it in the rantings of Rev Wright, Malcolm X, Farrakhan and many other, so called, “Professional Blacks.”

In the end, all the fraggers” were young, ignorant and poorly educated. They were, drunk, high or both and under severe emotional pressures, being forced to fight what they called a white mans war. As draftees, they were forced into dangerous jungles where death was only a step away and, uniformly, they acted out, attacking the closest person responsible for their agony.- the nearest white officer! The Army did eventually fix the problem. The all volunteer military was the answer……the problem has all but gone away. Since Vietnam, the only black soldier to kill an officer was a black muslum in Kuwait and he did it because he was angry that whites might kill his fellow muslums.

If more of the white Americans who voted for obama knew about all this then the election might have turned out very differently. Many whites exhibit a stupid collective guilt for the 200 year old imagined horrors of slavery- many blacks have called for reparations such as those paid to the Japanese Americans who were interned during WW II. Many silly white women “sacrifice” their bodies to black men to somehow expiate their guilt and “show” their racist fathers how “liberated” they are…This kind of dumb behavior serves only to further the racial divide and goad the black man’s hatred. Obama, along with his wife, suffer from this vicious raging hatred and now, thanks to the ignorance and stupidity of the white voters, they are both in a position to act our just as did the “fraggers” in Vietnam………

Now, we are going to pay the price……..and boy-oh-boy it will be a doozy ! We have lost and are losing our country…. Everything will be gone, piece by piece. Your homes have lost 50% of their value. This is entirely due to the five million defaulted sub-prime mortgages and who do you think held most of them? Don’t believe it? Have the idiots in congress and the libs convinced you that the fault lies in Wall Street? Think again Bunkie! If none of those five million notes had defaulted, the financial disaster would never have occurred would it- think about it!

Obama is now busy devaluing what savings the white middle class may have left by printing trillions of worthless dollars and hugely increasing and monetizing our debt. He wants us to pay for health insurance for all his downtrodden black brothers. He wants to hire millions of blacks in massive government (tax payer) funded programs. He wants to destroy the white middle class by forcing oil and energy prices beyond what are affordable. Step by bloody step, everything he has done and wants to do is calculated to make us pay…….the hatred is showing in his every act. As Charles Krauthammer said, don’t pay attention to his words, judge him by his actions…

Obama is a symptom of our problems as a nation, not the cause. Forgetting all of our GOP or Democratic prejudices, this fiasco began with the 2000 election. Love him or hate him, there was no doubt that Gore was the most prepared presidential candidate in 100 years.

He should have won easily in 2000. The Clinton baggage and other factors caused him to lose that squeaker in favor of a Know-Nothing who was perhaps the least qualified president since Warren G. Harding.

Instead of learnng from the 2000 mistake, the voters simply elected another unqualified candidate, just for different reasons.

Bush and Obama are from opposite ends of the “ME” generation. Although one was born Rich and one was Middle-Class, both had the audacity not of Hope, but of their own self-interest. Neither was, or is, fit to govern, by temperment, nor experience.

Bush hired a master propagandist, Karl Rove, and Obama did the same with David Axlerod. Thus is the nature of politics today. They both believed that we are the “folks” who can be swayed with emotional appeals. Both were right. Simply put: They gave the people bread and circuses, in the forms of wars, tax incentives and clunker rebates.

If the economy improves on its own before November 2010, The mid-term elections will favor Obama, and if the economy improves just enough, he will be re-elected.

If it doesn’t, we will get a GOP president in 2012 with an even slicker propagandist than either Axlerod or Rove to convince the ignorant masses among us that they are a “new kind of politico.”

Throughout history, there is one constant: People deserve the government they get.

To the “Birthers” on this site: His mother was an American, so he is an American, regardless of where he was born. Even if you’re right, you are still wrong. He is an American citizen, regardless of where he was born. Even if you make an argument that he chose to become a Kenyan citizen when he became of age, the only remedy would be impeachment in the US senate, and that “ain’t gonna” happen. He’s our piss-poor, unqualified president. Use your energies to promote his lack of political qualification for the office he know holds; not his meaningless birthplace.
