How can anyone want to vote for the Republican party? This is the 21st century! We need to move with the times. McCain is too old and conservative to be a president. Which then leads us to Palin who just seems like a person with no heart; she is against abortion even is the woman has been raped or is pregnant by incest! It is fine that there are a lot of Christians that believe that abortion is taking a life, and I respect that. But, we are all different and we all have free will and should be able by law to make whatever decision we would like. One can not force belief on someone else. If some people wants abortion, let them have it. If you think that makes them go to hell or whatever, let that be their problem. It is not our job to judge nor control other people. Imagine if abortion were to become illegal, that would cause more problems than it would solve: 1. women who got pregnant in their teens would be less likely to go to college, and then as a teen most likely to be a single parent, which then leads to lots of working and bad economy. 2. it would be like going back in time when it was illegal and lots of women, so desperate to get rid of the fetus, would try to get it out themselves or by help of friends/family, or pay lots of money to a corrupt doctor.
Men should have the right to vote on such an important matter likethis, because they will never understand. For a teenager to have a baby, is practically the same as ruining her chances for a successful career, and it also prevents her from being a teenager along with her friends. Babies should be born into the hands of a loving and stable couple (gay or straight) who are done partying and ready to settle down, and has a stable economy! Abortion should be by choice of the woman, if it should be questioned though, the question should be whether or not it should be legal, but rather whether it's right to let a teenager have a baby alone.

You people are amazing. You are still modeling your lives after a ridiculous book that is nothing more than 1000 years of Jewish history written by the same people who thought the earth was flat and that thunder was God showing his temper! Do the world a favor: please put down the bible and pick up a science book (there's far more truth to be found there, I assure you of that)!

I don't think any polotician, whether it be a Republican or Democrat is doing God's plan but, We as Christians must keep God's law, whoever is running for President and is going to try to keep those laws , we must base it on that. Don't forget, our CONGRESS is just as important also, it starts with them and goes to the President. Trust in Jesus and just do what is right. ask yourself? What would Jesus do?

Mr. Peroni: have you read -- actually READ --the bible? I belong to a church that is accepting of homosexuals. I assume you will answer with the line that the book of Deuteronomy states that it is 'an abomination'. However, few people who tout that line bother with the rest of the book, because it makes them uncomfortable. What else is considered an abomination? Wearing cloth made of two kinds of stuff (cotton/poly blends, anyone?); shaving your beard or trimming the hair at your temples; eating pork, shellfish, rabbit or ostrich (yes, named specifically!); it also advocates slavery and the stoning of disobediant children (21:18). You can't just pick one verse and ignore the rest. This is all very old-testament.
We go by the teaching of Christ (we are Christians, after all) -- and he never said a word about homosexuals.

G-Joe:
Over 30 million lives have been ended due to abortion more than all of the wars combined! You cannot compare apples to oranges with war and abortion. The Bible speaks of war being acceptable in certain circumstances. Mainly:
There must be a just cause for the war. War must be waged only in response to certain, grave and lasting damage inflicted by an aggressor. The motive for war must be advancement of good or avoidance of evil. The ultimate objective of war must be to bring peace. Revenge, revolt, a desire to harm, dominate, or exploit and similar things are not justification for war.
There is never a valid reason for abortion - God knew each of us before we were in the womb.
Obama has no leadership as he has never run a city, state, town, or even a company. His executive experience is nada! He has voted present many times though!

Pablo,
I look at who will follow God's will more closely as President. No man is free of sin and John McCain and Obama are no different. Both have seen and unseen sin. Yet I ask who will oppose God's Word more frequently through policy? Just based on voting records, this should be black and white if you are a Christian: Obama is THE most liberal senator. He is for abortion on demand (murder), for homosexual aka counterfeit marriage (opposes God's Word), is for cloning and all kinds of stem cell research (playing God). He is for doctor assisted suicide (again playin God), and for higher taxation - just to name a few. John McCain may not be perfect but he sure beats the alternative. Six Supreme Court justices are over 65. I'll take my chances with McCain having those picks.

Americans represent the great power of stupidity. Palin is shallow and arrogant. Comparing Obama to Palin is simply an insult to Obama. He is a born leader who can think and negotiate. Palin is a show-off who wants to act tough to prove that she can also do it. It is sad to see that most americans do not have the capacity to think. Talking tough is more valued than good judgment.

I am also a Christian and fail to see McCain or Palin as Christian choices at all. As a steward of the Earth, I can't imagine the Republican party line as being acceptable, no matter what lip-service they pay to so-called family values. The fact of the matter is, to oppose abortion and support war is a contradiction. If un-born children matter as much as other people, why must young men die everyday in a place that does not want their assistance? Today's war is a far cry from opposing Nazi-ism or even a twisted Communism like Russia's was. It does not make sense, to me, that so many Christians fall in-line with 'conservative' politicians when they are not our spiritual leaders or, often, truly spiritual people.
I would vote for Barak Obama if he were Muslim because he is not going to be my spiritual leader... he is going to be my political leader and I think his policies will be better received by the world, even if only because his party is in opposition to the party that has caused so much trouble in the world and told so many lies.

Luke 16:18 tells me that John McCain is and adulterer, a sin that equal to homosexuality in God's eyes. It also tells me that every time he lays with his current wife he once again commits adultery. He has yet to turn from his adulterous lifestyle and ask for forgiveness. Until he does this 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 tells me that he is doomed to not inherit the Kingdom of God.

As a Christian, I fail to see how this is God's choice for me to vote for president. Call me crazy, but I take seriously the vows of marriage and don't see anywhere in the Bible where there is an out, short of your spouse committing adultery. One can't just ask for forgiveness and move on to spouse #2, #3 and so on. There are consequences for these actions that have been laid out for us to abide by. There is only one "out" for us on this subject provided by God, and that is to give up the adulterous lifestyle and ask for forgiveness. The hypocrisy of Sen. John McCain is too much for me to give him my vote. This is the one social issue that is fully covered by the Bible.
