Pajamers, listen to a good pal.

Unfortunately, now it's History.

As a lefty type libertarian, I will say this about Sarah Palin.

I wish McCain never choose her as VP.

The reason why I say that is because I do not think she is fit for the national stage. I have been doing some research on her, and she seems perfect for the small city/state leadership position. Her governship would have been great up there in Alaska, and was going great, but then John McCain came along, plucked her out of her element, and set her down on the national stage. It just wasn't her. The media attacks, the comedian cracks, it just wasn't her cup of tea, and she showed it. IMO, if McCain had not choosen her, she would have been able to finish out her duties as governer with style and poise, and not finished the way that she did. Sure, there are some things I do not like abou her, but the way she was treated by both the national spotlight as well as the McCain camp derailed her from what could have been a great career as governer of Alaska.

All anyone has to do is look at how hard the leftist are attacking, non stop.

They are scared sh**less of Sarah Palin.

Oh by the way, can anyone remember any policy decisions she has made as Gov. that have been debated by the left?

Nothing but the politics of personal destruction here.

The left has nothing of substance to offer just more of the same old promise them everything which they cannot fulfill, and the general public are beginning to see through their empty suite of a leader.
Go ahead leftist say what you will, double digit unemployment is right around the corner.

Bring Chavez in and replace Obama with him, there would not be much difference.
Might as well do it, Obama is even supporting Chavez's Honduran position over the Constitutionally correct Honduran Supreme Court. But then I never met a leftist that respected the constitution anyway, except when it was to their advantage to do so.

You can bet that the current administration through some intermediary has a full time team dedicated to dig up dirt on Gov. Palin & anyone remotely associated with her.
Yet we can not even see our current Presidents birth certificate or college transcripts or his wife's college thesis. no no it's all off limits to us peasants.
And the MSM just sits there and gives the President the Lewinsky treatment day after day after day.

What reflection do liberals see when they are alone and look in the mirror?

Palin just made a strong move - no matter what she chooses to do forward, she demostrated that she has Independence and Strategy - and if the U.S. Government and the MSM are so intent on trying to destroy her, SHE can take control and make a move to deter them and to further her own interests. Kuddos to her for making this announcement the day before July 4th - knowing full and well that most journalists will be out of pocket and not on hand to spew their hate towards her and powerful women in general.

Kuddos to her for saving Alaksan's the money from the stupid frivolous lawsuits that most Americans know nothing about.

When Owebambi dissed his Senatorial duties for two years to pursue the Presidential office no one spoke up about his lack of focus. No one mentions where HIS expensive suits and shirts come from - or how much money he and his greedy wife spend on ONE dinner out. Is Armani one of his sponsors? Or maybe it's Gucci or some other maker? How much taxpayer money has Michele spent this month on fashion? How much have they spent on eating out? Why is he dying his hair gray - to try and fake something he cannot prove by his actions?

I'm betting that the "Sarah For President" crowd is the same group who would vote for "Wonder Woman" (as long as she promised to wear that smokin' red-white-blue suit during her tenure). I'm betting these are the same folk who are furious over the Bush/Obama nationalization trek, but give this RINO a free pass on her "ACES" program. And some, even doubled up on their stock/401k's after Martha Stewart went to prison. WHAT A COUNTRY!?!

Sarah Palin was a sitting lame duck due to the continuous misuse of frivolous ethics complaints which required much time and money to deal with. With this move she has cut the Gordian knot. Alaska is being served as it deserves to be, she cannot be charged with other ethics complaints, and she can campaign for candidates for the crucial 2010 elections. PJTV gives us yet another liberal hit piece against Palin. Let's see who gets the last laugh.

If Sarah Palin was trying to send the message that she's ready for a Presidential run, resigning as Alaska governor was the wrong way to do it. Every way I try to justify it, I just can't get around the fact that she made a commitment when she was elected. Also, it shows a tin ear politically. There's no way good news for her career comes out of this resignation.

I like many things about her, but I hope she's *at least* not going for a third party bid. That would be a disaster for everyone.

A few people commented that Sarah Palin is a sage because she understands that she doesn't need to wield governmental power in order to have influence. I'm sorry, but that's not the issue. She was elected to serve at the pleasure of the voters of Alaska, and is violating their wishes by leaving, unless the legislative process determines otherwise. Also, this "gem" of wisdom deserves the same amount of congratulation as if she were to just discover that "sharing things makes people happy."

Now, I understand that the disenfranchised chunk of the conservative movement sees no use for government -- and especially so when a democrat sits in the Oval Office, at which point government is more useless and hateful than a hole in the head. So, when the government is the enemy of the people, it might look benign for a public servant to abandon ship -- even commendable. AGAIN, that's not the point -- the other team is going to win some rounds, folks. When that happens, it doesn't mean the system has failed. It means the system is functioning. If one team wins all the time, the system is broken. So, what ought we to do? Work to maintain the system that serves the people, rather than punishing the system for allowing the other team to run it. If Palin took her oath of office seriously, she simply would not be resigning (at least until further legislative process gave sufficient reason).

Finally -- a third party based upon family values, Christianity, guns rights, low taxes, unrestricted markets, and anti-foreignness would never be viable. It has nothing to offer except a pressure-release for like-minded citizens. There's no cohesive foreign policy stance, beyond the general sentiment that all things American are likely superior to any alternative. No plan for the maintenance of peace, except the faint hope that a constant reactionary stance will intimidate the fur'ners who only respect power and only fear violence. No plan for domestic policy, aside from the faint hope that our huge infrastructure could somehow be magically maintained and improved by the ingenuity of enterprising Galts who are just waiting to pop out of the woodwork at any moment (with their millions of sweaty dollars) and save the world. And finally, it leaves out a large chunk of the future ranks of the Conservative movement -- folks like me, who value knowledge, do not fear tolerance, and realistically understand that the future owes me nothing.
