Absolutely love your stuff!

This is in regards to your clip with Sonja Schmidt et al on PJTV.

You stated that you object to Palin quitting as Governor of Alaska, in that she should have stayed to do the job. On the surface, certainly I can agree with that. However, it must be taken into account that had she stayed, she still would not have been able to do her job, not to mention costing Alaskans and herself millions to answer baseless and frivolous charges of ethics violations. Consider, the day she announced her resignation, she was being served with YET ANOTHER course of ethics violations charges.

To date, each time she has been charged thusly, she has been found innocent. All well and good; but while it costs nothing for these liberal hacks to bring her up on charges, it’s cost her half a million dollars so far, and the state of Alaska millions. It is also time consuming; from the moment she gets out of bed to the moment her head hits the pillow at night, she’s fighting these charges. It leaves her little time to do anything else and she feels that this is not in the best interests of her constituents.

She was left with a hard choice; stay as Governor, forcing her family into bankruptcy and killing Alaska’s economy when our national economy is spiraling down the drain and be unable to do her job while dealing with more and more frivolous ethics charges, or resign as Governor, be unable to do the job, but stop costing Alaskans so much, end the ethics charges, and start making some money by going on speech runs and supporting Conservatives in their bids for office, with a possible eye towards 2012..

The elitists and the media have put her in a damned-if-you-do situation. I am sure they will attack her for resigning, but they would have attacked her for staying too. “Oh! Oh! Look at how many times she was put up on ethics violations! Look how much she cost the taxpayers! Look how much time she spent in court instead of doing her job!” By resigning, she has given these people a gun. But by resigning, she also took away a dozen more guns. It was a hard choice, and she showed a great deal of “testicular fortitude” by making this choice.

Sorry, that post was intended for Mr. Crowder, on his YouTube site. It was too wordy, it seems, so I posted it up here.

I watched this episode. And by the end of it, I thought that it was highly unlikely that the three men on this panel had NOT heard what Sarah Palin had given for her resignation. It was NOT about her running for ANYTHING at all. It grieves me.

I love PJTV but was so disappointed in this particular discussion. So if you can’t hear what she actually said, why would I want to hear what your opinion about her running for President is?

Our party at this time does not have ANY power at all in the Senate, the House, or the Oval Office. Our Country is going down a path which is very frightening to me. If Sarah Palin can have ANY influence at all on the election of 2010 to change that dynamic then her resignation is a gift.

Obviously none of you have any idea of the issues that Alaska was dealing with. There is a web site conservatives4palin.com which has done an amazing job to inform about all of these issues. The site is not people who are Alaskans but people who KNOW the issues.

If she had remained in office in Alaska, it would not have been possible for her to have had ANY influence at all in the next election. One of the “ethics” challenges that she had was that she had been given donuts, a box of candy, and a hockey stick by a group to whom she gave a speech. She was cited for improper gift taking. It cost her and Alaska fortune. Sure she could have not taken them but who in God’s name would guess that something of that nature would be a cause to have an ethics charge? Of course she beat it.

Since you have so many answers as to what she should or should NOT do, perhaps you could tell us what the next stupid thing that she would have to deal with. As I am so sick and tired of hearing, “you know all politicians have to deal with the same things. I DON’T THINK SO!

She has said, it was not about her, it was about the State of Alaska. She did not feel it was right for them to have to fight such stupid things when the money could go to important issues.

It is not about ideas, actually, contrary to what the older gentleman is saying in this clip.

Obama was not elected based on his ideas — he had few, and articulated platitudes rather than concepts.

These guys seem not to be reading either Obama or Palin closely. I’m with the gal in this panel — Sarah’s doing risky, but right things. The detractors are missing it.

Jul 9, 2009 - 8:19 pm 5. The Famous Mo:

She was cited for improper gift taking.

Precisely my point. This is the type of frivolous nonsense the elites have come up with to bring her down. This kind of crap cost the state and the Palins out the wazoo to deal with, cost NOTHING to charge her with, and I am certain that the scum who brought these charges knew damn well that this was going to be tossed out, but only after costing everyone else a fortune in income and time.

The whole thing about politicians having to deal with the same thing is BS. Let’s compare VP kids. Palin has a daughter who is an unwed teen-age mother. Biden has fully-grown kids; his daughter, during the campaign, was arrested for involvement in a drunken bar brawl (I hear tell that it’s not the first time, but I can’t immediately corroborate that.) He has a son and a brother, both of whom were about to be indicted for fraud and bribery of a public official.

Which of the two parents and VP nominees got the most coverage for their family’s wrong-doings?

Most of you reading this are probably saying “What? Biden’s family did what?” Which is my point exactly; there very much has been and continues to be a double standard perpetrated by the media and the DC crowd. We all know this. We also know that these people would be attacking Palin regardless of whether she stayed in office or not. At least this way the people of Alaska won’t have to foot the bulk of the bill for more ridiculous, baseless, and fraudulent charges. Palin took a hit for the sake of her state, and she should be applauded for doing so. Consider Mark Sanford, flying off to Argentina to knock boots with his mistress ON FATHER’S DAY. He should man up and step down before he brings further disgrace to himself, his family, and to his state. But he has refused, even with both sides of the aisle calling for his removal. It is sad when a beauty pageant hockey mom can be more of a man than someone actually equipped with such plumbing.

*nods to Mr Lopez*

This is the first time I’ve found myself in actual disagreement with Mr Crowder. He’s usually dead-on, but this time he’s missed it.

Jul 10, 2009 - 1:39 am 7. Pam:

Can’t add much except to say that I so agree with the comments here. It is amazing how the talking heads (the guys here) just cannot hear what Palin said and more sadly cannot see it’s merit or how it resonates with us. I must say I find it amusing when it’s MSM but find it somewhat disquieting and depressing to see it here on PJ tv.

Jul 10, 2009 - 6:10 am 8. csd:

I was also disappointed with Mr. Crowder’s take. I am usually in complete agreement with his posts.

Barry Soetero aka Barack Obama was a senator for 5 months when he began campaigning for president on the TAXPAYERS DIME. Would it have been better then, if Sarah had done that? Would that have been more in line with what the talking heads think is noble? How about Napolitano and Soebelis – Governors who QUIT to go and work with Obama even though their shift was not over. If she had gone to work for Obama would that have made everyone happy and just like with other governors, the Lt. Governor would take over?

We are in a serious crisis with this administration. Sarah Palin quit to work for the whole country. She draws crowds and crowds need to hear a cohesive message. Which by the way, she has made clear, that her goals are for smaller government, fiscal responsibility, national security and energy independence. And if you pay attention, she says these four ideals every time she speaks, the details of which can be worked out once conservatives get back into office.

Please! This criticism is beyond the pale.

Jul 10, 2009 - 9:16 am 9. Sapwolf:

What s**t to come from PJTV. Unbelievable.

Crowder needs to do his homework and earn the respect back.

He obviously has not followed Palin or listened to her words.

LAZY!

Jul 10, 2009 - 1:16 pm 10. Good News!:

Sarah Palin for RNC chair?!

Forbes has an interview with Shannyn Moore. Here’s the last question:

Forbes: There is talk that Sarah Palin may replace outgoing Republican National Committee chair Michael Steele. Do you know anything about this?

Moore: I’ve heard talk about it, but at this point it’s just a rumor.

http://www.forbes.com/2009/07/10/shannyn-moore-sarah-palin-business-media-moore.html

Howard Dean flamed out spectacularly in 2004 and came roaring back as the grassroots hero DNC Chair who flipped the House and Senate two short years later.

Just sayin’.

Jul 10, 2009 - 5:47 pm 11. Pam:

Overnight I had another thought…Palin’s decision has been described as “erratic” etc….however, what of Sanford and Edwards who each made decisions to abandon their wives and children, figuratively speaking…one with four little kids and one whose wife was fighting cancer. Gosh, I didn’t hear anyone describe these decisions as “erratic”. I am not one to wear my femaleness (!) on my shirtsleeve but can anyone else also see the closet mysogyny here? afterall…we know women can be hysterical and erratic especially when under pressure (like perhaps carrying a downs syndrome child to term is no pressure at all). Certainly, making a decision that one perceives to be in the best interests of the people she serves at the same time that it furthers your individual goals and serves your family has to be “erratic” doesn’t it?

Jul 11, 2009 - 5:13 am 12. Blythe:

Yesterday Sarah was on a Fairbanks radio station and she sure did not sound in any way “irratic” and she was talking about gun bills that she just signed. You can listen to her on that show if you go to conservatives4palin.com. That is the best site ever to keep up with all that goes on with Sarh Palin.

Jul 11, 2009 - 11:30 am 13. tommyd:

I really have to laugh at the title of this one..
They just don’t get it.
Like she gives a rats ass what the talking heads think….
