- You are typcally misguided and people sould feel sorry for you and the culture you bring to the table whith comments like this. There were more blacks selling other blacks into slavery then any other and Sonny you maybe interested to know blacks are still selling blacks into slavery and killing and raping each other in Africa. My liberal Jewish friends have done more for the black community then any other minority. They don’t ask for thanks but they sure as hell should’t be treated in this fashion. Try to act like a human – you will find it may help you in the long run

Excuse me! The Reverend should have also mentioned the jewish slave-ship owners and the jewish interests in the slave trade itself.

I’m sorry if one is jewish or not. The jewish involvement in slavery is well documented and historically recorded.

So why are jewish people all of a sudden feeling offended??

Dear Daphna. You deserve what you got.
Do you know how many jewish kids suffer in this world, in Israel, in Europe & in america. I am jewish a single mother with 2 boys.(I never did drugs or abused money) My x is jewish & disappeared, I was homeless with 2 boys 5 & 10 here in L.A. The jewish comunity didn’t help me, (I tryed to get help from them)or any american jew or any non ortodox jew. There are many like me, that bearly make the month. There are homless jewish mothers & kids, that are ashamed in there cituation. There are many poor jewish kids, that nobody pays attention to them. At list the black kids have the comunity support. My kids don’t. The people that helped me & people like me are only ortodox Israelies. that I never met before.
I had 1 canadian catolic friend & he helped me, than & now. The rest of my friends that are not ortodox (I didn’t have ortodox friends before) jewish & gentile some of them are very rich, didn’t whant to help, just tryed to criticize me. May be Mrs. you should go back to help your own people. May be you will not get awards from the mayor of Los Angeles or other jentiles. But you will do good for your people. If you don’t know how, I could show you.

It is shameful that these reverends, supposedly men of God preach exactly what is against Judeo-Christian teachings. Peace and love for mankind. These Lees’.Sharptons’ and Wrights’ do nothing for the human race or for their own people, they are strictly out for themselves and all they can get. My late cousin was on of those responsible for procuring the Exodus. The hardships that the Jews have endured from WWII and before are unimaginable. But we went on never hating a people. In many instances, standing up for the African-Americans. Peace marches, which we participated in, lest we forget Schwerner and Goodman! Perhaps we terrible Jews should not have invented vaccines to save the human race. I have many friends who are people of color, who are people who go to church, but none with Pastors’ like these dudes. People, if I ever thought of voting for Obama, forget that! With Wright having been his Pastor for the many years that he was, his opinions have to be as slanted and hateful as that of Wright.

I am a relatively uneducated middle aged man of Jewish and Christian parents. When I was a young boy growing up in a small town in Canada I had no idea what a Jew was until one day at the age of 12 years old, my friend from the neighborhood, called be a “Dirty Jew” I ran home to ask my father what a dirty Jew was. From that time on I have made it my business to find this out. When I was 17 (1967) I went to Israel, on the second day of war. I stayed for a year and saw a magnificent bunch of men and women working and fighting for their own existence. I’ve come to the conclusion we are a pretty good bunch who have contributed so much from so few. Did you know that Jews, a small minority in this country, made major contributions to the cultural, scientific, political, and economic life of the United States that is disproportionate to any other minority. For example, 37% of all United States Nobel Prize winners in the 20th century were Jewish. I also remember my grade 9 history teacher’s first class. He in fact was a black man. He wrote in big letters on the blackboard. THOSE WHO DO NOT LEARN THEIR HISTORY ARE SURELY DOOMED TO REPEAT IT. We Jews have from the time of recorded history, for some reason, become the targets of racism and hate. Those of you out there who do not see the possible danger signs need to start watching the History channel more often. If what you hear from the Black community these days is not alarming to you, then like my history teacher once said. You are doomed to repeat it. I know the majority of men and women in the black community are outstanding citizens, but you know, to be quite frank, there are just too many who are not. It is time for true leaders in the black community to stand up and provide the leadership required for the black community to rise to their true potential and just stop laying blame where it should not be. In the meantime I am truly on edge and always remember what my adopted Israeli father told me when I was leaving for home in the US. Remember he said, you can always come back to Israel when the world turns upon us again. At least this time you can fight like and die like a man.
