<description>Why do people continue to dance around on the Rafik Hariri assassination ?

And why does everything under the sun always require endlessly more money, commissions and inquiry ?

The further you get from the actual event (February 2005), the more obscure the data become.

Has the inquiry by the German guy and his conclusions been discounted ?

And what about the string of &quot;other&quot; political assassinations in Lebanon?

Doesn&#039;t someone, somewhere know the truth of what&#039;s going on?

And why are Lebanese putting up with Hassan Nasrallah bragging of importing much more sophisticated hardware and longer range missiles into south Lebanon ?

<description>I&#039;m sorry, this region needs invasion, conquest, and a novel mix of enlightened repression and education if it is ever to be able to reliably develop some sort of modern, productive relationship to itself. What is all this? Maybe we should put some UN observers on the border with Syria, instead of just in the South? Maybe we should develop new technologies to track shipment and personnel movements whose logistical trail begins in Iran? And the beneficiary of this violative rearmament is a quasi-sovereign, semi-legal Islamist militia bent maniacally on the destruction of Israel and the co-option of Lebanon?

What the f*ck is all this dithering and politicking about if not the cowardice of powers-that-be and this odd fatalism ith respect to the characteristic misbehavior of the nearer Asiatics?

I don&#039;t get it. These are pissant powers in pursuit of manifest evils - or at least deleterious incompetencies - that ironically require Western largesse to even exist at all.

Goddamnit let&#039;s end this farce for once and all and get down to a regional war. Anything else favors the enemy and saps and divides us. What a ludicrous situation.
