Laraine:

Our energy policy is third world in scope and must become realistic with all options on the table.

Mar 28, 2008 - 2:36 pm Marie T.:

1. The border will be secured, and patrolled, not partially.
2. All immigrants will be Identified in a Data Base.
3. English will be America’s official Language
4. Overhaul our Intelligence, to protect Americans, not enforce them.
5. Americans only in any Government Security transaction or position
6. Overhaul our Financial Offices, and use real Accountants.
7. Seriously enforce alternate energy use, ASAP
8. Quit selling our land, ports, and jobs to foreigners, get rid of SPP & NAFTA, or Amend them both & eliminate foreigners.
9. Keep our Government Offices Americans only, not Foreigners.
10. Thoroughly check the legitimate status of any candidate for Presidency, or Government Office

Bravo Marie T. to the first 3.

The 3 of which not one of the candidates have the guts to do.

Illegal alien is the new Islamo-creep is the new political meal ticket to the white house.

I’d add one more to Marie’s

11. Overhaul public education. It’s killing our future.

When top corporate employers bemoan the lack of skilled American kids whom they’d RATHER hire than outsource to foreign lands, that is serious.

Quit dumbing down our education system or give vouchers to private schools where AMerican kids will at least get a chance to compete with those foreign kids who are kicking their butts overseas. Get rid of ESL! Get RID of TENURE! And quit making it so hard to dump the teachers who do not produce a competitive product.

Boy DDC, did you hit the nail on the head with that post! Bill Gates wants to hire foreigners because “WE” do not have graduates capable of doing those jobs apparently. “IF” that is true, it is the most obvious indictment of our education system we have ever heard.
Billions invested, but we cannot churn out qualified candidates! Hmmmmmmmmmm!
And, more money at a bad system will NOT solve that problem. We need a better system, like teacher’s & curricula!
