RDK - Sorry I upset you so. All I can say is you might have read a little bit more into what I said than what was there if you took away that I was some kind of Christianity/relgion hating "homo-Nazi" (whatever that is).

I must commend RAH for being a very patient and level-headed person, after reading Jack and G Alston's comments I am afraid my patience is gone.

Both of you have written very anti-Christian rants and I find what you say is very consistent with the Mass Media (CNN, ABC, NBC, NyTimes, WaPo). Neither seems to think they have done so, but have no problem seeing offensive, or in Jack's case, anti-human-rights, positions on the part of Christians. The fact is that you are very anti-Christian by it's own definition ; but insist that you are fine with it if it fits your world view.

The Democrats have adopted such a far-left, atheist, anti-christian platform, that no self-respecting Christian would ever vote Democrat, except for two things: Eductational and Media indoctrination.

The fact is that liberal culture combined with Mass Media, Hollywood and our current Public- and to some extent private- education systems have indoctrinated an all too willing populace, youth especially, into a very anti-Christian attitude. It is also very ignorant of the fact of what place positive Christian influence has had on our society and all societies as a whole, while completely over-emphasizing the negative aspects of it. The Media, Hollywood and our public education system, all the way up to high education have completely erased vital facts of our history in the name of "seperation of Church and state". RAH got it right, both of you got it wrong, the history of the 1st Amendment was to keep the State out of the Church so that True Christianity could flourish. George Washington even said, to paraphrase, that if Christian influence were to be removed from our Government, then our Government would surely fail.

RAH brings up the pertinent points, so I won't rehash them, but the idea that I find not only offensive but small minded is the Christians should "leave their faith at the door". A mentality that seems so prevalent among the aformentioned mass media outlets, Democrats and Rino politicians. It presumes that any idea can be devoid of it's moral/Christian root and it also looks at religion from a secular perspective, that is, something you do on Sundays that has no bearing on everyday life. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Our lives are governed by the tenants of the Bible and are a guide

I was a GAlston liberal for years, thinking I had my own thoughts (many were, I guess) while many of these thought were go-along-to-get-along thoughts. Your idea to find a secular way of describing any idea that had a Christian or moral root, so that others would go along is in keeping with those who think they can be moral without having a belief or faith in God. It's an allusion that has come from centuries of relative peace, compassion and prosperity brought on by Christian influence. Go back to before Christ and you will see none of those qualities manifested in the majority of the world's populace, but a barbarism - which by the way, is where we are headed if people like you have their way. Without restraint, moral restraint, there is an abyss. They weren't called the Dark Ages for nothing.

Jack says he is not gay, yet buys into the homo-nazi propaganda. I know a few homosexuals who are not militant, agenda-driving people. I am 45 years old and have seen a movement morph itself into a package that people seem to be buying. Obviously you two had it hand delivered and don't seem to mind. The fact that you don't see it is either ignorance or apathy. The current version of "gay rights" is in fact a door to silence true believers who the only group they can't bully into buying their propaganda - the riots in Utah and Ca are proof of that. There are reasonable homosexuals out there but they are not given voices in the media, hollywood or our schools, only the strident voices of accept our agenda or get steamrolled. However, the kool-aid isn the 180 degree brainwash that Christians are the "haters" and the homo-nazis are the "loving" ones.

If the religious far-right is so inconsequential why did Obama feel it NECESSARY to go to a forum held by Rick Warren and then ask the guy to pray at his inauguration? It was a trojan horse but I know a couple of people who fell for it. None-the-less the far-left held their noses but knew Obama had to lie in order to win the election, because he knew the religious are a contentious bunch, and he learned the lessons of Napoleon and the USSR. Both Napoleon and The USSR both tried to stamp out religion but ended up only making it stronger, you can't quench the Holy Sprit. You now see the ideas of Obama, China and our above two friends. Bully and intimidate Chrisitans, call them bigots, far-right wing-nuts, marginalize them. Get them to sacrifice principles in order to win elections.

As in Nazi Germany GAlston is the person who looked the other way when Hitler took away the Gypsies, cause he wasn't a Gypsy. Then they took away the Jews, cause he wasn't a Jew. Apparently for Jack and G Alston, looking good to their liberal friends and being able to hold their head high at those liberal cocktail parties and talk about how they almost ruined their lives when they got their girlfriend pregnant but talked her into an abortion so they could continue getting wasted and watch Howard Stern and Porn with a "clear conscience". Got to love that Democrat Party!!

Yes the world is so bad because Christians are concerned about a culture of death where Saw is the number one movie in america and has spawned 5 sequels when all it is about is equal to a late-term abortion. Hurrah.

Go ahead and toss people of faith to the curb.

#181 Chuck - Read my 106 post....you still have to show a brain, your points haven't yet (my guess is I'll have antagonized you enough to look...even if you won't admit it). I'll probably miss your response, but since you've been called out on it so much (by so many people including myself several times), for the folks that will continue reading will probably want to hear your response (knowing you). Before you scroll around, it's the whole thing about you saying how smart you are and how much you love the country more than us...well fill in the rest of the blanks smart guy! Oh, and tell me how much more patriotic than I am...not that you know me (I'm sure you'll call me names and question my manhood/humanity/etc). But you'll call me out as your inability to label me as part of your "smartitudeness" as you'd likely call it.

Anyway, you've done what I just did which was to presume the ultimate knowledge on all issues. The difference is that I know that it isn't about being smart, it's about being persuasive. Yes, you'll want to call me dumb or un-persuasive, but that's ok. You are just blathering, and some of the rest of us want to fix things...you just want your way. I'm sure you will now want to say that your way is the "right" way or the "only" way, but then you'd be showing how you have lost and how you will continue to lose if you continue to be "my way or the highway."

The great part, is that you'll ignore me, or come up with some pedantic non-answer to me, or you'll write a non-sensical essay. Either way, the root of it will be "you are entirely wrong and I am entirely right" which will prove my point...(here, I'll help you)...unless you tell me how you want the best for our country even if that means talking to social dems...you have crossed us all out as socialists or communists or worse, but that mentality has continued to us social liberals but fiscal conservatives. So what do you want...so called "communists" or "fiscal conservatives" like me? Pick your response carefully!!

I might not read it tho...you've been pretty fixed on one-liners that shows that you don't care for us, so if you don't care for our opinion, you might get the same...

To say that CPAC was an 'epic fail' because it did not do what you wanted it to do is ridiculous.

I agree that Wilders should have been given a more prominent role at CPAC but just because he wasn't doesn't mean the conference was a waste of time.

Grow up.

We need to have a simple message adhered to and espoused by all Republicans.

The Democrats destroyed us over the last six years, in large part because nearly every time any one of them was on the radio, tv, internet, etc, they all repeated one or two mantras:

1) Bush's war is a failure
2) Bush's economy is a failure

The electorate, being bludgeoned constantly with this message, soon fell into line.

We need to do the same - paint with a broad brush.

Aren't the social conservatives (most likely the far right fundamentalists) just as much at fault as liberals in making social problems part of government, in order to have laws passed to further their agendas?

The First Amendment has a purpose beyond freedom. Isn't it meant to hold individuals accountable for their actions? Where does the government fit into that? The purpose of freedom is to relinquish the chains that bind us to controls that government has always wanted to place on its citizenry.

Yet we've allowed the government to dictate our freedoms according to nearly every cockamamie idea that has come along. Government is just one branch on the tree of life. Not the root. Humans are the root and our lives consist of many branches. We've allowed those branches to intermingle and overlap.
