This story is disturbing on several levels.

All parents should be very concerned that people like Ayers and Dohrn have any involvement whatsoever at all in the education system in this country.

The Obama camp’s reaction telegraphs a clear message about how they feel about the First Amendment also.

In their hearts, these these people are more Bolshevik than American. And yes, I absolutely do question their patriotism. These are bad people.

There was more than $100 million available for scamming! Ayers probably directed some of it to anarchists and anti-Americans and had his “clean and articulate” black direct some of it to black or community radicals.
The threat of these files isn’t that they tie Hussein to Ayers, but that they tie Hussein to even more crooks or evil doers.

Actually, it is also about associating with Ayers. After all, with such a skimpy list of “accomplishments” in line positions and as a consensus builder on his Potemkin résumé – don’t get me wrong, he’s smart, and has been successful, but what he’s done doesn’t back up the story he’s peddling – all we’ve got to go on is the judgement Obama has shown by the company Obama has kept.

Despite Mr. Ayers proud admission of what he did, and regret for not doing more, all those around him gave him a pass; either because they agree with his politics, or because his daddy is a Chicago shaker and mover. They somehow expect everyone else to forgive and forget.

However, presumably, before potential rehabilitation, comes repentance, penance, and restitution. He is defiant, and unrepentant, so there is nothing to forgive or forget. Such people deserve to be ostracized; not lionized.

After all, the major difference between Bin Laden and Ayers is that Bin Laden was successful. They both detest bedrock American values and want to blow up our society, both literally and figuratively.

The details as to which projects got funded, and which didn’t just goes to show that he embodies the worst of of identity and Chicago politics all rolled into one – but presented as Change.

If he gets elected, we’ll each be lucky to have some pocket change left – because the United States will no longer be a people with a government – we will be its serfs and minions.

OK, now lets be real here folks. “IF” we believe in free speech, then such a statement is outrageous. We hear from so many, unfortunately many on the left, that presenting or permitting the expression of objective views is actually a problem because it detracts from the need to resolve issues.
In my world that means, “we do not want to hear opposing views, we do not want opposing views to be expressed by anyone, we want only those views that support & confirm “our” views, to be heard”, and we want the media to comply with this by refusing to allow opposing views to be presented to the public whether on radio, TV, or in print.”
Ummm, and we should vote for the people these folks want us to put into national offices, why??????????
Silencing opposition views means, we have given up on free speech & have allowed ourselves to become serfs to a select elite who will tell us what to do, when to do it, how to do it, and if we are allowed to do it. Sounds a lot like those Soviets or Chinese, doesn’t it?!?
Until the issues surrounding the Ayers-Obama connection & the Chicago challenge came to light just recently, most felt those stories could be just another example of one politician trying to make another look bad.
Based on this information, it appears it will take no effort on the part of McCain to make Obama look bad. He’s done that all by himself.
The Ayers connection has always bothered me, but w/o any credible evidence or facts to ponder it was just a situation of Obama knowing a once radical who has settled down somewhat.
Obviously, with this news & the info being discovered, the “connection” is one that needs serious investigation & the public has a right to know just who did what with whom, and if what they did was all above board.
Go get em guys. NOW, we want ALL of this story. NOW we want to find out just how unscrupulous this guy really is!

It’s gonna be nothing but ugly, folks…expect the Dems and their rabid (think “mad dog”) supporters to reach new heights of bizarre and irrational behavior in the coming months as things wind up to a fever pitch.

The Dems are gonna be apoplectic when Obama loses a close election in November; I expect we’ll then see the standard “stolen election” strategy come into play. They cheated, I demand 52 recounts!

Apropos of absolutely nothing: given her recent brilliant analysis of religious doctrine regarding the beginning of life using her expert background as a Catholic (riiight), I’m glad she doesn’t work in a coroner’s office somewhere, as I shudder to think of when she thinks death begins. On second thought, since she’s obviously dead from the neck up maybe she does know something about it.

When someone so inept and with so few working brain cells can become the Speaker of the House, it must mean the equal opportunity programs are working for the Dems.

Clarice has done a great job boiling this story down to an understandable level which neither exaggerates the Ayers/Obama relationship nor minimizes the policy implications of that now well-documented years-long working relationship.

What puts the story in stark relief, however, are the Alinsky-inspired tactics the Obama campaign has unloosed trying to stifle the real facts surrounding BHO’s sole job in an executive capacity.

Although I don’t doubt that many of the grants were directed towards leftist objectives, I suspect that the really ugly thing they’re trying to cover up is the “old Chicago” syndrome: the people in charge of handing out the money were skimming it off and diverting it to themselves. Directing funds toward leftist causes isn’t illegal. Using subterfuge to put the money in your own pocket is. Follow the bank records. I would bet that that is what Obama is really afraid of.

In other words, Bill Ayers is part of the natonal leadership of the organization that teaches our nation’s teachers. He is in the most ideal position to promote left-wing ideology in the nation’s classrooms.

If Barack Obama is elected President, what is to prevent him from appointing William Ayers Secretary of Education. Is that the kind of change you want for America?

The thought of someone like Bill Ayers as Secretary of Education is ODIOUS. Obama and his coterie of supporters and power brokers want to pick your pockets, rape your minds, take away your guns (they will never get mine), and indoctrinate your children more intensely than they are even today.

The more I read about the Annenberg controversy the more it seems that Kurtz is on to something huge. Ironically, it is Obama’s claim that his executive experience derives from his days at CAC. Especially today, with Sarah Palin now on the ticket. Imagine that. A community organizer who punched his ticket overseeing education reform involving a corrupt program is claiming that two years as governor of one of our largest states is not sufficient executive experience? They’re serious about that. That’s what’s so scary.

It’s not just Ayers’ past that bothers me, it’s his recent connections with Hugo Chavez. He’s given speeches in Venezuela, and his “son” Chesa Boudin interned with Chavez.

I worry that Ayers’ influence over Obama would create a conduit to Chavez via Obama’s education “experts.”

I guess that professor of education Bill Ayers (described incorrectly in a puff piece in the Los Angeles Times as a professor of English) has been doing his job.

Liberal education centers around instilling fear and rote obeisance to a specific set of “points” about society and one’s place in it. Liberals don’t seek to inculcate excellence in students.

Actual academic challenge (as opposed to Annenberg variety “challenges”) make the captive audience less malleable and amenable to what Ayers would espouse as the greater cause.

The evidence of the success of decades of training to be a sheep and not having a clue as to how to think is wildly evident all over the internet.

Anyone can make up stories about McCain and Obama and post it online does that make it real? Your argument is incoherent. Obama is running to be the chief administrator of the US government. The only thing he has ever administered in the past was the CAC. It was a gigantic failure because it’s ideology was stupid. Through the CAC, $60m of taxpayer funds were pissed away. I’m not “God” judging Obama. I’m a pissed off taxpayer who wants my funds used responsibly, not in the service of some ideological pipedream.

Someone in the media needs to ask Obama if he is pleased with the job he did administering the CAC and where all the money went and why there’s nothing whatsoever to show for it.

Interesting. The Annenberg family is supporting McCain. So the family who was responsible for putting Ayers on the education reform board along with Obama is a supporter of McCain. Does that make the Annenberg family supporters of domestic terrorism? And by association, does their support for McCain suggest McCain supports the actions of Ayers in the past?

The false logic that ties Obama to Ayers also ties Ayers to McCain. What a tangled web we weave when we first practice to deceive.

I doubt seriously that anyone on the annenberg family managed the disbursal of those funds or knew beyond a general hope to improve public education where their money went and for what specific projects.
