‘Why Islam’: Reaching Out and Preaching Hate
An organization that says it is a harmless religious group has a poll on their website asking "Is Osama bin Laden innocent?" Guess what the results were ...
Since its creation, Why Islam (WI), a Muslim proselytizing project of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), has advocated a radical strain of Islam that stresses both hatred and violence. Today is no different. The group continues to verbally attack non-Muslims. And now the group is featuring a poll on its website asking if al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden is innocent. The results of the poll are very disturbing.
WI was launched in 2000 by ICNA, a Muslim Brotherhood organization, to provide dawah or Islamic outreach to American non-Muslims. The group purchases advertising via radio, public transportation, and billboards to publicize its name and entice the curious to contact its toll-free number. On its face, WI looks like a harmless religious organization, appearing to get along with others and saying things that everyone likes to hear. But just as with anything else, appearances can be deceiving. And with regard to WI, they are.
Upon visiting the homepage of WI’s website, one cannot help but notice a highlighted tab labeled “Terrorism.” Clicking on the accompanying link, one is brought to a page where WI attempts to lecture readers on how Islam is against terrorism. Evidently, though, this is not the Islam that the group practices.
On numerous occasions, members of Why Islam’s website forum have stated their support for terrorist organizations such as Hamas and Hezbollah. In September 2008, the following was posted on the WI forum in support of behavior which most Americans describe as terror:
[W]e use the word “terrorism” too loosely. … Your terrorist is another’s freedom fighter. … I agree with the act of resistance. … Whether it be through protest or violence.
In WI’s rant about how Islam is against terrorism, the group uses as examples of acts of violence “a bomb going off in a marketplace” and “the hijacking of an aircraft.” How ironic then it is to see that this same group broadcasting this information is currently running a poll on its site asking whether or not its members think Osama bin Laden, the head of an organization that consistently perpetrates such violence, is innocent.
This past August, a poll question was posted to WI’s forum titled “What do you think of Osama bin Laden?” The three choices given were “innocent,” “guilty,” and “not sure.” As of this writing, over 68 percent voted innocent, 13 percent voted guilty, and 18 percent said they weren’t sure. So nearly 90 percent of those voting said the individual most responsible for the 9/11 attacks is either innocent or they aren’t sure — an ominous sign indeed.

1. Myno:Has it not become passe to blame a website for postings on its blogs? My goodness, should we condone harshly judging PM for postings by trolls? Yes, nasty folks may well inhabit the fringes or body of WI, but citing postings is the least convincing evidence on which to base such an argument. On the one hand, perhaps the author could bolster the case by citing the prevalence of such postings. Statistics could be informative in making an enlightening decision. On the other hand, the lack of enforced guidelines against outrageous excess (such as those used by PM) might make the author’s argument more convincing. But it appears that the cited examples (as reprehensible as they may be from a metaphysical perspective) would pass PM’s own guidelines… which weakens the case.
Oct 22, 2009 - 2:19 am 2. rob:“one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter” – some “freedom fighters” the islamists are that target civilians from within their own civilian population while dressed as civilians. yup that’s fightin’ for freedom, all right. cowards.
Oct 22, 2009 - 2:24 am 3. Terry:Geert Wilders sums it up – There is no such thing as moderate Islam. Islam is an extremist ideology. All of the usual platitudes & excuses cannot cover up the inherently extremist nature of this totalitarian ideology. Any objective, rational analysis, ALL evidence, leads to this conclusion.
Oct 22, 2009 - 3:50 am 4. macko:The politically correct can talk in circles, speak in vague generalities, offer any number of excuses & misconceptions, but you need only examine what Islam itself says, in it’s own words, to understand it’s true nature.
Examine the details of Islamic belief & practice.
Islam is at perpetual war against unbelievers. Any tactic, such as terrorism, is justified in this war. Unbelievers have no rights under Islam.
Unbelievers may be discriminated against, robbed, raped, murdered, forced to convert, they are reviled, cursed, & exploited.
Apostates may be murdered by any Muslim.
And the list just goes on & on, women as second-class citizens, death to gays, no freedom of speech, no separation of religion & state, imposition of Shari’a law, honour killings, female circumcision, wife beating, stoning, forced child marriage, etc. etc.
This is MAINSTREAM ISLAM – not some ”minority of extremists” who have hijacked an otherwise ”peaceful” religion. This is not to say that there are no moderate Muslims but what is a moderate Muslim? A moderate Muslim is one that does not practice or believe what Islam really teaches.
Islam is an ideology that must be defeated.
yeah, they shouldn’t be held responsible for website postings afterall they report any hate speach or threats of violence.
they do don’t they ?
Oct 22, 2009 - 3:54 am 5. Class Clown:So let me get this straight…
Osama Bin Laden himself claims responsibility. However, his apologists claim him innocent. Are they calling him a liar?
I guess it all makes sense. Bush and the Israelis conspired and carried out the attack, thereby handing a great victory to Muslims, even though they didn’t do it. Nevertheless, some of them lied and claimed to have done so, and for that they are heroes. I guess it all fits together somehow.
Oct 22, 2009 - 4:13 am 6. Craig:It’s almost unbelievable that most modern media outlets consider it their duty to under-report these facts whenever possible. Prior to its appropriation by the Left, the media saw its primary duty to report verifiable facts without distortion or omission. The modern creed of multiculturalism and moral-relativism requires news to be manipulated in order to implement its ideological objectives. Where censorship was once imposed by governments, it has now become a personal responsibility.
The hatred contained in the above excerpts is routinely employed in most Islamic forums, virtual and physical, and can be found with little trouble. When the media is forced to report the language employed by Islam, they allow unchallenged apologists to blame the “Islamophobia” of mainstream society for provoking them. We are nurturing an increasingly violent, assertive and fast-growing population who consider it their divine right to persecute anyone who does not accept their authority. I only hope that Islam’s useful idiots on the Left will have the opportunity to experience the “merciful and flexible” nature of sharia in the multicultural (balkanized) America they are helping to create.
My deepest thanks to the staff at Pajamas Media for helping to combat self-imposed journalistic censorship.

So where does this all end? Right here I imagine…http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/
What’s scary is after they’re done feasting on and slaughtering each other, they WILL come for non-believers. “Metaphysically” speaking.
Oct 22, 2009 - 5:50 am 9. Ruvy:The trash this bunch puts out doesn’t sound like Islam – it sounds like the Wahhabi garbage one finds spouted by the less than human “mullahs” in Gaza or Arabia.
Oct 22, 2009 - 6:33 am 10. Right as well as Correct:#5 Class Clown asks:
“Osama Bin Laden himself claims responsibility. However, his apologists claim him innocent. Are they calling him a liar?”
I would imagine that the 90% answering “innocent or not sure” are stating their belief not so much as innocent but rather “justified”.
Either way, if you ask me, it’s very screwed up and scary that people think this way. This situation will have to be addressed in the very near future. We can not pretend that it does not exist.
Oct 22, 2009 - 6:37 am 11. Moho:Joe,
Halucinogens are a fine hobby. But don’t write your articles after dropping acid, its just going to make you look crazy. There is no Osama Bin Laden poll on that site…anyone can look for themselves. Here’s the link:
http://www.whyislam.org
I suppose if there really was such a thing, you would have linked to it directly, or taken a screen shot. You’re a LSOS.
By the way, I did find this:
Q.3.Why are Muslims not condemning terrorist acts?
Prominent Muslim scholars, organizations and movements, representing the vast majority of Muslims worldwide, have repeatedly condemned terrorism, and have spoken out for peace and justice. Following is a very brief list of such open condemnation of terrorism, including statements issued in the wake of the heinous attacks on September 11.
1. The American Muslim Political Co-ordination Committee (AMPCC), which is a group of major American Muslim organizations, including ICNA (our parent organization), issued a statement on September 11, 2001 condemning the terrorist attacks. The AMPCC statement read in part:
“American Muslims utterly condemn what are vicious and cowardly acts of terrorism against innocent civilians. We join with all Americans in calling for the swift apprehension and punishment of the perpetrators. No political cause could ever be assisted by such immoral acts.”
2. Major American Muslim organizations including the Islamic Circle of North America, are signatories to the following statement released on September 21, 2001.
American Muslim Response to the September Attacks
Released September 21, 2001
We, the undersigned Muslim organizations, support the President and Congress of the U.S. in the struggle against terrorism. Holding to the ideals of both our religion and our country, we condemn all forms of terrorism, and confirm the need for perpetrators of any such acts of violence to be brought to justice, including those who carried out the attacks of Tuesday, September 11, 2001.
At the same time, in the planning of this “war against terrorism,” we call upon the President and Congress to reaffirm the values and principles that make this country great, namely that one is innocent until proven guilty, that all accused have the right to a fair trial, that no one be punished for the acts of another, and that respect for human life is supreme, regardless of race or religion. To this end, we urge the U.S. government not to abandon the due process of law in determining responsibility for the attacks and punishing the guilty parties.
We are saddened by the possibility of military action, as we do not believe that terrorism can be eliminated solely or even effectively through military force. Rather we call upon our leaders to recognize that in order to rid the world of the ugliness of terrorism, our nation must understand its root causes. We hold out the hope that these root causes can be addressed through non-violent means, in a way that promotes peace and harmony between the nations of the world.

3. Prominent scholars worldwide have condemned terrorism as a heresy against Islam. The Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar University, the oldest seat of Islamic learning, Sheikh Muhammed Sayyed Tantawi, has repeatedly condemned terrorism. He said in the name of Islamic law, he rejected and condemned the aggression against innocent civilian people, regardless of whatever side, sect or country the aggression came from.
Prominent scholars of Saudi Arabia, Shaykh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah bin Baz and Shaykh Uthaimeen, also condemned the terrorist attacks. Every other major scholar of Islam, has come out against the indiscriminate killing of innocent civilians.
3. Statements of Prominent Islamic Scholars
“Hijacking planes, terrorizing innocent people and shedding blood constitute a form of injustice that can not be tolerated by Islam, which views them as gross crimes and sinful acts”
Shaykh Abdul Aziz al-Ashaikh (Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the Senior Ulama, on September 15th, 2001)
“The terrorists acts, from the perspective of Islamic law, constitute the crime of hirabah (waging war against society)”
Sept. 27, 2001 fatwa, signed by: Shaykh Yusuf al-Qaradawi (Grand Islamic Scholar and Chairman of the Sunna and Sira Countil, Qatar)
Judge Tariq al-Bishri, First Deputy President of the Council d’etat, Egypt
Dr. Muhammad s. al-Awa, Professor of Islamic Law and Shari’a, Egypt
Dr. Haytham al-Khayyat, Islamic scholar, Syria
Fahmi Houaydi, Islamic scholar, Syria
Shaykh Taha Jabir al-Alwani, Chairman, North America High Council
“Neither the law of Islam nor its ethical system justify such a crime.”
Zaki Badawi, Principal of the Muslim College in London. Cited in Arab News, Sept. 28, 2001.
“It is wrong to kill innocent people. It is also wrong to praise those who kill innocent people.”
Mufti Nizamuddin Shamzai, Pakistan. Cited in NY Times, Sept. 28, 2001.
Ingrid Mattson, a professor of Islamic studies and Muslim-Christian relations at Hartford Seminary in Hartford, said there was no basis in Islamic law or sacred text for Mr. bin Laden’s remarks. “The basic theological distortion is that any means are permitted to achieve the end of protesting against perceived oppression.”
Dr. Ingrid Mattson, (now President of the Islamic Society of North America)
Conclusion
Muslims stand united in their condemnation of terrorist attacks and any attempt to link their faith to heinous acts that question the humanity of the perpetrators. The vast majority of Muslims worldwide find in Islam, a faith that preaches devotion and good character, not one that calls for hatred towards fellow humans.
Oct 22, 2009 - 6:41 am 12. David S:This is another pathetic example of what PJM is trying to pass off as journalism.
All the “objectionable” material you cited was in a public forum, where anyone can log in and share their personal thoughts. You are calling for the organization to remove comments that you don’t like. That’s basically un-American, because in America, we don’t try to muzzle critical voices – we respond with more speech. You can call out the individual forum posters, but trying to tie their posts to the organization would be like trying to tar the GOP based on posts in their forum. Or impeaching PJM based on the comments I make.
Believe me, you do not want to go there.
Peace.

Oct 22, 2009 - 8:19 am 13. WS:Some facts conveniently overlooked by the author:
The so called poll on the “website” is really a poll by a forum user (a freshman) on the forum NOT the website.
A freshman is the first level of seniority of the forum members. There are a total of 11 levels. This is configurable by the forum admin.
This particular poster had a total of 24 posts to her/his credit. S/he could be anywhere in the world, of any nationality and most importantly of any age.
There are several thousand members of the forum and 26 of these say that Osama is innocent. While thousands of them chose not to participate or did not notice it.
There are several hundered polls conducted by the users. Some polls have topics that can completely undermine the author’s argument that WI supports terror.
Fnially, such biased journalism fosters distrust and even fans hate among Americans.
Oct 22, 2009 - 9:18 am 14. Pragmatist:As you all might have realised by now MOHO is a self confessed antisemitic JEW HATING ARAB. Nuff said.
Oct 22, 2009 - 9:19 am 15. Pragmatist:As has been correctly pointed out already there is no such thing a “Radical’ Islam or ‘Militant’ Islam or ‘Terrorist’ Islam there is just ISLAM. Don’t believe it just read the Koran its all there despite what the Mohammedans and their stupid PC MC left wing moonbat dhimmie apologists try to tell you and to deflect you from seeing.
Oct 22, 2009 - 9:24 am 16. WS:Assuming that the poll author has correctly filled out the profile information then she is Cathy Sanchez (most likely not a Muslim) and lives in the United States.
Also since WI is a non profit volunteer based organization, it is understandable when a few posts turn out to be “inappropriate” out of almost half a million posts currently on the forum.
It is very easy to find such posts that foster hate or even threaten criminal acts in forums belonging to all religious and political organizations. But focussing a biased focus on a certan group makes us wonder what the author’s agenda is.
Oct 22, 2009 - 9:27 am 17. Moho:Pragmatist:

You can’t read in any language. If you did, you’d know that there is nothing true in this article, its complete fabrication as I and others have shown. No, I’m not a self-confessed anything. People like you, unable to actually defend their beliefs, run like cowards to ad hominem the minute anyone challenges them. Pathetic.
The author of this article owes you an apology for making you all look like gullible idiots.
Oct 22, 2009 - 9:57 am 18. Sara:Race hate is now and always has been a powerful organizing force in the world and in America. This is why the Left after the courts blocked white racist power structures, the Left “progressed” to re-organize race hate into diversity tribal hate against white Americans. Today Black and Hispanic Democrats look and sound alot like the white racists they replaced.
Oct 22, 2009 - 11:22 am 19. wildman:Hitler, Marx and Mohamed all telegraphed their intent and plan when they took pen to paper. Hitler had the Jews to blame, Marx, the bourgeois and Mohamed, everyone who did not follow him and submit. There is a lot of comparative talk by the PC talking heads to try and equate Catholic atrocities during the inquisition as greater than Islamic atrocities. What the followers of Mohamed did in the balkans, Persia and india, makes the inquisition look like an episode of laugh in. You will not find followers of Mohamed protesting the use of terrorism, The reason being that the Koran specifically states to subjugate all non believers. When i see a public demonstration by the so called moderate Muslims denouncing terrorism, i might change my mind. Until that day comes, Islam will remain a threat to my and my family’s life and i will treat it as such.
Oct 22, 2009 - 11:27 am 20. Delia:Islam is evil, vile, misogynistic, cruel, tyrannical etc. ad infinitum.
Islam needs to be snuffed out just as the ‘KKK’ racists have been snuffed out and denied a ‘voice’ without derision and disgust.
As much as I love Jesus and God, I do believe ‘religion/s’ is brain-washing. IMHO I think children shouldn’t be indoctrinated with what a parent interprets from their brand of ‘bible’. My daughter chose to get baptized this month on her own and in a church of HER choosing. I firmly believed that I shouldn’t have ‘decided’ that for her.
I’m not of the ‘church’ mindset. I pray and honor my Father who is GOD but I don’t feel the need for ‘church’ but, my daughter does want a ‘church’ and that is fine bloody tastic with me.
Islam on the other hand…is ‘forced’.
The latest attempt of a father to drive over his daughter as an “honor Killing” pretty much sums up the pseudo/evil that is ISLAM.
Oct 22, 2009 - 3:57 pm 21. myth buster:It doesn’t surprise me that so many people think bin Laden may be innocent; just look at how many 9/11 truthers there are who believe the confession video is a forgery.
BTW, as far as totalitarians go, Marx was pretty pathetic. Karl Marx didn’t actually do anything totalitarian; he just advocated it, and left it up to other people to actually implement his agenda- an agenda that didn’t even get set in motion for many years.
Oct 22, 2009 - 4:06 pm 22. Blackwater:I seriously think we should treat islam like communism.
Oct 22, 2009 - 4:19 pm 23. Moho:Blackwater=I seriously think we should treat islam like communism.
You’re about a 10 years behind your colleagues on that one you shmo! These idiots have been treating like communism–i.e., with McCarthyite hysteria, since 9-11.

Does this pretty much sum up the pseudo/evil that is CHRISTIANITY? Can you articulate the difference between your example and this:
http://www.cbn.com/cbnnews/world/2009/October/Violent-Drug-Cartel-Uses-Religious-References/
In Mexico, federal police are engaged in all-out war against powerful drug cartels.
A cartel in southwestern Mexico even uses faith to justify its criminal activities.
Recently, a helicopter flew over a Catholic church in the state of Michoacan and arrested one of the heads of “La Familia,” the most violent drug cartel in Mexico….Operations like that take place almost every week here in Michoacan and faith has become a factor to consider in the war against drug cartels
What makes the “La Familia” cartel different from others is their cult-like use of religious faith to recruit and control their members.
Investigations by Mexico’s federal police revealed La Familia uses their own version of faith and religion to clean up and justify their crimes, but also to promote group identity and recruit new members…”When they claim a religious and ideological doctrine, they are going straight to the inner fibers of the Mexican heart,” he said…A year ago, a grenade attack killed eight and injured 100 during the celebration of independence here in Morelia, capital of the state of Michoacan. La Familia has denied the charges and blamed an enemy gang.
That could explain the level of violence by La Familia. Police call them murderers but members of the cartel says they’re doling out divine justice.
Oct 22, 2009 - 4:53 pm 26. Delia:25.,
Scum is scum. Evil is evil. Cults are cults.
I also think SciFientology is evil and sickening.
I also think Jim Jones was pure filth and he pretended ‘Christianity’.
Guess who Jim Jones was ‘affiliated’ with?
Oct 22, 2009 - 7:27 pm 27. Pragmatist:Lie and deny all you want MOHO we know what YOU have confessed to and we have seen your antisemitism and JEW HATING in writing and I for one have read the Koran and KNOW what is in it. So all your attempts to deflect us from talking about this evil Book which Mohammedans believe to be the ‘actual unalterable word of their so called God’ are to no avail.
Oct 22, 2009 - 8:00 pm 28. Moho:So Delia, why are the actions of the supposed Islamic honor killer representative of Islam, when the actions of a Christian group are simply cult activity. Does reason have any role in your life?
Oct 22, 2009 - 9:32 pm 29. John "birther" Samford:Moho, please provide the name of the Christian that ran over his daughter with his SUV because she moved out to live with her boyfriends mother?
I live in the Bible belt. The guy across the street and one lot up is a Famous Preacher. When I’m feeling frisky and know he is home, I will stand in the front yard where he ca see me and challenge God to s fist fight. Loudly. God, being a cowardly sort, hasn’t showed yet. He thinks the bible is the word of God. When I ask him which of the 800 some versions of the bible is the real deal he gets all red in the face on starts to babble.
Oct 22, 2009 - 11:49 pm 30. Terry:A real born again nutbag. Nobody at his church ( over 20,00 not counting his TV show) has EVER strapped on a bomb and blown up a pizza joint.
There is a difference. Even a Pantheist like me can see it. Why won’t you open your eyes and look?
Moho needs to spend some time reading websites like MEMRI.org, Jihad Watch, or The Religion of Peace, maybe browse around YouTube & listen to the sermons of various Imams preaching to the faithful.
Oct 22, 2009 - 11:59 pm 31. Moho:I’ll tell you something, Moho, I’m originally from an Arab Muslim country & I spent most of my life watching the disaster that is Islam first hand, with my own eyes. People like you deserve to live in a Muslim-dominated society but the rest of us prefer to avoid such an unpleasant experience.
The very thought of Islam spreading & gaining influence in America should strike fear in the hearts of any normal human being.
Moho, please provide the name of the Christian that ran over his daughter with his SUV because she moved out to live with her boyfriends mother?
Does it have to be vehicular murder? Because there was this Christian guy who shot another Christian guy in a church…do you remember that? Does that indict all Christians. I don’t think so, but if you don’t, it means that you are applying one standard to Islam and another to Christianity. Most Christian bigots aren’t as open about it as you are.
Oct 23, 2009 - 7:19 am 32. Delia:30. Terry:
“The very thought of Islam spreading & gaining influence in America should strike fear in the hearts of any normal human being.”
Scary indeed.
Moho, the bible I read doesn’t tell me it’s fine and dandy to kill you just because you aren’t a believer in Christ.
Oct 23, 2009 - 8:02 am 33. Moho:Ha ha Delia, like most Christians, Delia, you seem to be completely ignorant of what’s in the bible…
Deuteronomy 20
16 However, in the cities of the nations the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, do not leave alive anything that breathes. 17 Completely destroy them—the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites—as the LORD your God has commanded you. 18 Otherwise, they will teach you to follow all the detestable things they do in worshiping their gods, and you will sin against the LORD your God.
Deuteronomy 7
Driving Out the Nations
1…and when the LORD your God has delivered them over to you and you have defeated them, then you must destroy them totally. Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy. 3 Do not intermarry with them. Do not give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons, 4 for they will turn your sons away from following me to serve other gods, and the LORD’s anger will burn against you and will quickly destroy you. 5 This is what you are to do to them: Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones, cut down their Asherah poles and burn their idols in the fire. 6 For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession.
Oct 23, 2009 - 8:09 am 34. Delia:While the old testament is considered valid and sacred, the new testament and the coming of Christ resolves a lot of the old testament’s conflict.
If it wasn’t for Christ, I’d have more grievances about the bible than good things to say about it.
The problem with using any doctrine for hate is just that…
Christians did kill and massacre and do horrible things in the past in the ‘name’ of Christianity and we have come out of that darkness. Islam has done everything BUT come out of the dark ages. They want Sharia and perpetual evil to continue.
That is patently wrong.
If people quoted Dr. Seuss as a reason for killing, I’d think they were loons but when people still do horrible things en mass in the name of ISLAM, that is a bigger problem than a few loons.
Oct 23, 2009 - 8:59 am 35. David S:@34. Delia:
While the old testament is considered valid and sacred, the new testament and the coming of Christ resolves a lot of the old testament’s conflict.
So now you can just pick and choose what you want? Ignore the conflict? Deny the obvious? How convenient.
If it wasn’t for Christ, I’d have more grievances about the bible than good things to say about it.
If it wasn’t for Christ, there would be no bible, dearie.
The problem with using any doctrine for hate is just that…
Yes, indeed. We noticed.
Christians did kill and massacre and do horrible things in the past in the ‘name’ of Christianity and we have come out of that darkness. Islam has done everything BUT come out of the dark ages. They want Sharia and perpetual evil to continue.
When did we come out of that darkness? From what I can see, Christians kill and massacre and do horrible things in the present in the ‘name’ of Christianity. Islam, like Christianity, includes a diverse range of interests and practices – when you generalize about Islam, you legitimate the same tactics being applied to Christianity. Do you not see how short-sighted this is? If you want to condemn Islam that’s fine with me, but to be consistent, you need to condemn Christianity with equal vehemence.
If people quoted Dr. Seuss as a reason for killing, I’d think they were loons but when people still do horrible things en mass in the name of ISLAM, that is a bigger problem than a few loons.
So what do you think of the horrible things people do in the name of Christianity? Is this not a bigger problem than a few loons? The reality is that Christianity is just as easily used to promote hate as Islam. As those of us on the left like to remind folks – hate is not a family value. That applies equally to all.
Peace.

To call your argument subjective would be a compliment, for it has almost no basis in fact. Almost all of the West’s most recent holocausts have been a product of Christianity as an ideology and religion–the holocaust itself, porgroms that only recently abated in the last century, slavery, the destruction of the North American continent’s indigenous population, the colonial enterprises in Africa, Asia and India which enslaved and killed millions. Additionally, your hero, GW Bush, proclaimed our activities in the middle east to be sanctioned by your Christian god. Compared to all this, Islam is a minor player in atrocity. You accept no responsibility for your religion, because a main portion of your religion is involved with identifying other groups as unclean and destroying them in the name of God. You are so blind, that when confronted with the absolute reality that denies your claim that the bible does not tell you to kill–it most certainly does, and there is nothing in it which actually negates those Old Testament messages, simply conflicting ideas–you squirm away from it like a cockroach fleeing from the light.
Oct 23, 2009 - 11:13 am 37. Delia:Ahhhhhhhh the Christian haterz are coming home to roost.
David S.,
Your messiah calls himself a ‘Christian’?????
What are you gonna do about that, home slice.
I don’t want to KILL you because you’re not Christian or any other religions.
I love Jews even though they don’t believe Jesus is God’s son.
Moho,
You killed your own child and you’re pretending you hate murder in the name of ‘anything’?
Nucking futz!

Ahhhhhhhh the Christian haterz are coming home to roost.
Not in the least. I don’t hate Christians or Muslims, but I do think it is gross hypocrisy to condemn Islam as a violent religion, while dismissing completely the terrible violence of Christianity. Both religions have their violent elements.
Your messiah calls himself a ‘Christian’?????
I don’t have a ‘messiah’ – we all have a President, who is a Christian in the most true sense of working to follow the positive example of Jesus as the prince of peace. He does not commit violence in the explicit name of God like the previous President.
What are you gonna do about that, home slice.
Commend Obama for living by the principles of Christ, rather than following the path of the hypocrites who would invoke God as the reason for their own mistakes.
I don’t want to KILL you because you’re not Christian or any other religions.
I am so relieved. Thank goodness.
I love Jews even though they don’t believe Jesus is God’s son.
Your messiah called himself a Jew…
The bottom line is that I don’t hate you – I’m just very disappointed at the reputation that you are helping to earn for Christians. The proper response to someone preaching hate is not to hate them back – it is to love them and teach them. Like we love you and teach you every day, Delia. A true Christian does not need to tell anyone he is a Christian – it is obvious from his behavior. Your ostentatious proclamations of your own faith and charity are simply a sign that you don’t get it. Yet there is still much hope for you.
Peace.

No, Dave the Depraved.
I could deny Christ and foam at the mouth against the Holy Bible and you’d still spill your drivel here at the drop of a hat just like TrollMo spews his hate and then brings up his ‘faux’ love for ‘war victims’ when he has killed his own offspring.

Oct 23, 2009 - 2:34 pm 41. Moho:You killed your own child and you’re pretending you hate murder in the name of ‘anything’?
Delia, I’ve been letting you repeat this, because of how stupid its made you look. I told you my girlfriend had had an abortion in the past. I didn’t tell you that I aborted my child, you idiot! My god, one wonders how you’ve managed to take out the trash all these years.
Oct 23, 2009 - 6:20 pm 42. Jan McDaniel:Moho, your post #11 was only the first step. You must have noticed how often the terms innocent and civilian were used. Now read those same Islamic leaders when they define those two terms.
Western readers of those terms have a common definition. You will find, if you do not already know, that Islamic definitions of those terms are quite different.

“I told you my girlfriend had had an abortion in the past. I didn’t tell you that I aborted my child, you idiot!”
Your imaginary girlfriend needs to be upgraded to a more reliable moral relevancy considering you actually think my saying you aborted your child is a ‘bad’ thing when I thought you were all ‘for’ abortion’ so it shouldn’t matter to you whether ‘your’ child was aborted or your ‘imaginary friend with a uterus’ aborted ‘joe the plumber’s kid’.
Eh?
Right?
Are we gittin’ somewheres, homey?
Oct 23, 2009 - 8:27 pm 44. Delia:P.S.,
Moho, if the thong fits…
Wear it proud and loud, pretty boi!
Oct 23, 2009 - 8:29 pm 45. Truth Detector:Moho, you’re pretty well mixed up. Christianity teaches the Ten Commandments, eg, “Thou shall not kill.” “Thou shall not steal.” “Thou shall not covet your neighbors’ goods.” “Honor your father and mother.” And more.
On the contrary, Satan’s Bible, sometimes called the Qur’an, teaches the complete opposite. For example, mothers are second class citizens in the Muslim world. Are mothers second class citizens in Christianity? Absolutely not.
In the Muslim world, Muslims are taught to kill: “Kill the disbelievers wherever you find them,”(Sura 2 Verse 191). “Be ruthless to the infidels,”(Sura 48 Verse 29). “Make war on the infidels around you,”(Sura 9 Verse 123 and Sura 66 Verse 9). There are 109 violent passages in the Qur’an.
Christianity teaches the contrary. When so-called Christians are deliberately breaking the commandments, they are called evil and hypocrits. When Muslims obey their violent commandments, they are called “good Muslims.” Now do you understand?
Moho, I’ve studied the Qur’an, Sunnah, Sira, Taqiyyah, Ahadith since 9/11. Never have I seen a lesson on Morality, Honesty, Justice and Love of Neighbor in these Muslim historical records. I’m a Christian, so I stick to the New Testament. The New Testament is replete with lessons on Love of Neighbor, Honesty, Justice and Morality. Satan’s Bible, sometimes called the Qur’an, is the complete opposite of the New Testament. It teaches hatred, violence, immorality, dishonesty, injustice. So if you are following the Qur’an, then, you are a “good Muslim.” If you are practicing the opposite of the Qur’an, then you are a “bad Muslim.” If you are a “bad Muslim,” then you are a hypocrit. But that’s good if you are a hypocrit as a Muslim. It’s the opposite with a Christian. If a Christian is practicing his religion, then he’s a good person. If a so-called Christian isn’t practicing his religion, then he’s a bad character, and/or a hypocrit. I realize this can be confusing. But then Islam is very confusing besides being violent, cruel and dishonest.
Oct 23, 2009 - 8:29 pm 46. Pragmatist:Please show us where the New Testament is declared to be ‘the ACTUAL and UNALTERABLE word of God’ MOHO because that is what the Krap Kran calls ITSELF. If you cannot show us then all your pathetic tu quoque attempts at comparing the Bible AND New Testamemt to the EVIL Koran are busted.
Oct 23, 2009 - 8:37 pm 47. Delia:All theology aside…
I’m all for stoning David S. & Moho!
No, not in the ‘ISLAM’ way…but in the “Cheech & Chong” way.
Don’t bogart the good Sh*t, Dudes. Pass some of that around for us ‘unenlightened’ ones.

I made no mention of whether you thought it was a bad thing; I was just commenting on the fact that you inferred I aborted my child [which would be impossible in the first place]with no reason to do so. The level of your stupidity makes me believe in God. I don’t think nature could create such a low-level intelligence simply by chance.
Oct 24, 2009 - 7:55 am 51. RRWest:When 9/11 happened, I did not see any “moderate” Muslims make statements or protest the events like the “radical” Muslims did around the world.
For centuries, not just decades, Islam has made a point of attmepting to conquer the world by any means necessary.
The Crusades, long thought by the west to be an aggresive move on the part of European leaders, is now being seen as a defensive move that brought the war of conquest to the enemy’s doorstep.
The current wave of jihad against the world has been stepped up through the hajri, OPEC’s domination of the world oil and gas reserves and modern forms of communication.
Almost all propaganda coming from Islam has to be approved through one or more of the three major centres for Islamic information control: Riyadh, Tehran and Cairo, before being publicized. (Groups like the Amadiyahs and Ismaili Muslims are considered “outsiders” and within Islam. There have always been attempts to convert followers of these two sub-groups to either Shia or Sunni ways.)
While the information or its producers do not have to physically pass through these cities, the channels of communication and control are always there. Virtually every imam, mullah, ayatollah and cleric has direct or indirect connections to these world centres of Islam.
Its much like modern military CNC (Command aNd Control), in that anything that is not “approved” rarely finds its way to the public. What is leaked can be denied and/or supressed.
This makes Islam one of the most effective control systems in the world. Its leaders may not have to be everywhere at once, since they know that they have “trusted” and proven chains of command that will do the work for them.
What western leaders need to know is who the actual leaders are and how to break the chain of command if the war on terror is to succeed.

Oct 31, 2009 - 9:50 pm 57. dw:Luke 6:42 -
“Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye.”
Christians have a blind eye to themselves with the beam blocking their own sins which gives them the title of hypocrite as they preach their hateful message and live in denial while their own religion has also been a violent and bloody past in eras long ago. Reverend Jimmy Jones killed over 900 of christian followers in the name of God and then turned a gun upon himself fatally wounding. You can blame drugs part of his personal demons but people looking for religion to cure the world’s evils only find death and destruction in their path didn’t come from God but man with his wicked ways. Man distanced himself from God while God never moved an inch Mankind’s sinful way increased the distance from God and the rift is increasing over the centuries. Muslims, Christians and alike still fight over petty stuff like children in a playground. One day of God’s choosing he will send us to our respected corners for an eternal time-out both muslim and christian which in his eyes does not matter for we are all the children of God, the creator of the heavens, heavens and creator of mankind.
Moho,(muhammad wants mohos?) you will never have sharia law here in the U.S. go back home and do some rock collecting. i guess if i lived over there, id kill myself too. go back to middle east, no one wants u here.
