"No bounce from the Convention, Obama bin Biden doing their Titanic imitation in the polls,
Democratic shills running around in a state of panic.
It looks like the wheels have come off the Soros puppet show."

What an interesting world you live in, John. Do I get there through the bedroom wardrobe, or should I just wait for a Kansas tornado?

huxley:

But how many PUMAs are out there, really?

Enough. PRESIDENT Bush won by 187 votes in Florida. So it wouldn't take many PUMA's to do the job.

Good, it couldn't happen to a more deserving group.

2008 will damage the Democrats for years to come. I hope that some 'real' democrats will get together and take the party of Truman and JFK back from the Socialist thugs that have stolen it. I'll never be a democrat, nor vote democrat, but it would be nice to have a loyal opposition party again. One that had different ideas about how to make America stronger. Not a bunch of radical lefties that want to destroy America, which is what the Democratic party has become.

There are several other reasons: 1. the caucus fraud and 2. the taking of Hillary's delegates and giving them to Obama.

My sister was a TX Precinct Delegate for the Democrats. At the County caucus the Obama delegates held several "final" votes to select the county delegates who would go on to the state caucus. Thinking their votes counted many delegates left the Caucus early. The Obama side out-waited the Hillary delegates and finally got the majority they needed to beat them with the last in a series of "final" votes that night (they even secretly called back Obama delegates who had also previously left). Every vote should count, huh?

At one point an angry male delegate threatened my sister for standing up to the Obama delegates because they were breaking and bending the rules and holding multiple votes. She left the caucus disgusted with politics and the Democratic party.

Needless to say, she and her husband now support McCain.

@AdrianS DITTO!

"If these women had previously bought the idea that the Democratic Party is above that sort of thing, they’ve now experienced a profound shock—and that shock is a very a personal one."

i don't think "the party" would have pulled some of the garbage that has been going on online. it was those right up the candidate's.......... alley.

"And yet they now perceive themselves to be on the receiving end of sexism, while at the same time they stand accused of racism, and merely for preferring another contender over the African-American candidate Obama."

to scream racism while bashing hillary's throngs for claiming foul on sexism would be

DISCRIMINATION.

The democrats would never win any elections if they did not garner 90% of the black vote. Blacks perceive, and perhaps correctly, that the democrats work hard to tip the tables in their favor. (I pass no judgment here as to whether or not this moraly right etc.) Woman for a long time thought the same. I think many of them have learned differently in this primary battle. Those woman will not vote for Obama and will remain angry for a long time. Who knows if they cross the line to McCain. Some will.

Of course they are, LPH. That has, after all, been the progressive meme for years, if not decades: nothing is more important than my personal victory, for even as I would cast my former alleged allies into the gulag for deviationism, I must assume that they would do the same to me.

It has been said that the minimum requirement for democracy is the assurance that you can lose an election without losing your life, freedom, and property. The Petulant Left has done its best to destroy that assurance. Now people -- some of whom were members of the Petulant Left in their day, and did their to destroy it -- are taking them at their word. You are surprised -- why?

I'm curious if all of these pro-Hillary posts are from people who did not listen to Hillary during her speech. Did she not say she was supporting Senator Obama? Did she not remind people that supported her that Obama's policies are closer to her ideals than McCain? If you place McCain into the White House, you are placing the Supreme Court into jeopardy. Are you so upset that you risk the nation for your children and grand-children? You hate the loss so badly that you are willing to hurt other people. Are these posts really about yourselves more than about Hillary's ideals?
