A couple of weeks ago while visiting Cambridge, Massachusetts, my friend was refused permission to take pictures of squealing kids messing around in a park

Funnily enough I am in Boston, Massachusetts, and today I took my children to a paddling pool. After they’d played happily for half an hour several people came over to inform me that a stranger had been videoing my 7 year old the entire time.

When challenged he said he had been videoing her, and it was up to him what he did with the video.

I left feeling sick. My daughter has no legal rights in this – he now has half an hour’s worth of video of her in a swimsuit at a paddling pool and I have no idea what he will do with it now.

Interesting, isn’t it….

…ddc who cried out that people who addressed her in this venue were cowards because they were ganging up on her poor defenseless person-of-the-female persuasion.

However, when she was asked to identify a venue of her own choosing, she has become VERY ‘quiet’.

Can you say, “Gutless wonder”? How about, “I’m a victim. Therefore don’t question me”?

I can imagine the logo of this thread appearing at every public playground in the nation. Then….how would a parent photograph their own child having fun with other children at such a place?

P.S. It used to be somewhere in the ‘thousands’, but with the web….well…YOU know…..

…Maine, according to what I’ve seen, has gone the proverbial ’step-beyond’ and set up their state laws so that anyone can claim someone who takes pictures, or even looks at someone else cross-eyed, is a ’sexual offender’.

This should be an interesting experiment. Let US watch it and see what happens before we rush to replicate this stupidity.
