The Fun Begins

Until today, this presidential campaign has been a grinding experience to watch. It has been mostly about getting to know Barack Obama, who whether on world speed-tour, or columned stage, Berlin or Denver, inhabits realms in which the oratory is too thick, and the air is too thin. It’s all perorations, promises and pathos. Joe Biden riding the acela every day is just not enough to bring it down to earth.

Now, on the other side, with McCain’s VP pick, we have a former runner-up for Miss Alaska, who knows how to use a gun, and nixed the bridge to no where. This is suddenly wilder than a Macau poker game. But at least it feels real. Finally, I’m enjoying this election, and here’s some more relief — the best send-up yet of the Democratic litany, thank you, David Brooks! But let’s be fair. As the Republicans prepare to take the stage, where are the folks who produced this splendid even-handed tribute to our candidates of 2004?

The Experience question
Obama selected a VP that has foreign policy experience and he is running for the number 1 spot so his VP has more experiece than him. John McCain has more experience in the polictical arena and foreign affairs than most of the senators put together. So, here we have a fantastic Sarah Palin, everything conservatives could ask for but she lacks foreign policy experience but excells and has more experience and credentials to prove it than Obama. So, what if..she is a heartbeat away from the top job?
She does the same thing, the exact same thing Obama did, select a VP that IS experienced in foreign policy, how complicated is that? Obama did it so she can too. DONE DEAL.

Barak Hussein Obama, watch out! Here comes Sarah Palin, who is more handsome, more courageous, more outspoken, more natural, more experienced, with more kids, more principled, more of everything than you are.

I fell in love with Sarah overnight! Congratulations to McCain, who was younger than Obama and Biden combined, but is now definitely younger than all Democrats combined. Full speed ahead, Mc and Sarah! God bless you both.

Hoorah! this election season just became fun! I think that Sen. McCain’s choice of VP reflects his affection for another maverick, TR. Gov Palin seems like a direct decendent of former VP Theodore Roosevelt, I’m sure TR would say, “Bully”.

Experience is not the issue, its about battles won and Sarah Palin has fought and won many battles in her career.. now you can say Obama has fought for the nomination but he has the msm, moveon.org…billionaire George Soros and the Chicago democratic machine.. working for him.. But she is a battle hardened veteran.. and that is what counts..

Contrary to the shrill protestations of all Journalists, Sarah Palin’s qualifications as the Republican VP nominee are vastly superior to the (are there any?) qualifications of the Obamessiah to be president.

If anybody can find any experience or accomplishment of Barack Obama which qualifies him to be President of the United States, besides making Chris Matthew’s legs tingle, please let me know, ASAP.

Obama has a revolutionary Marxist cousin or three in Kenya; maybe that qualifies him for something. President of Cuba might be a match.

As I emailed David Frum, I believe Sarah Palin is a budding Margaret Thatcher. For that reason, we must pray for her, as the liberal news media will attempt to eat her alive.
