Thank you again, Claudia Rosett, for continuing to report on the lunacy & antics of the UN. If it weren’t so serious, the UN’s actions would be laughable. Keep shining your light into the UN’s dark recesses, and know you have many fans of your work and efforts.

If we have not learned anything from Oil for Fraud, it is not due to lack of effort on your part.
Your work gives me hope.

I had hope for Ban Ki-Moon, following the dithering and dissembling of Kofi Annan and the murkiness of Oil For Fraud. It seemed to go on forever, as Kofi refused to end his 7-year term early.

I had really hoped for some kind of fresh start for this beleaguered, overly bureaucratic collection of humanity, whose major function seems to be churning out endless reports.

Moon shocked me with his remark linking global warmISM and what has been going on in Sudan.

Here it looks like more dissembling or, at the very least, a failure to step up to the leadership role.

Speaking of the UNDP, and the $5 billion we trust this swollen UN agency to hand out around the world every year, he asked: “Didn’t we learn anything from Oil-for-Food?”

But of course we learned something from Oil for Food, or should have! The lesson I learned? I am incapable of comprehending the depths of UN depravity, much less anticipating what form it might take or when it might ooze to the surface. I continue to believe that we should continue to occupy our seat on the Security Council while cutting our contributions to the UN to -- oh, I dunno -- say the insultingly-small sum of $500,000 per year.
