Stuart Taylor of the National Post seems surprised at “Obama’s Left Turn.” But Peter Robinson, Ed Morrissey, Mark Steyn, Rush Limbaugh, and just about everyone else on the right who aren’t worried about being seated in Siberia at 21 aren’t exactly shocked by this development.

Sounds simple … so why didn’t many voters do just that?

Megan McArdle and other libertarians went crazy when the University of Chicago and somewhat libertarian economist jumped on the Obama bandwagon. By the way, this is the same guy who told the Canadian government officials that Obama was essentially lying to the blue-collar yahoos in Ohio. The then presidential candidate supposedly had no real interest in enacting protectionist legislation. I have not heard Goolsby’s name mentioned even once since the election. Did the Martians abduct him?
