Delia, you are absolutely right and I did just that.

My daughter as you may know if you have seen me on some of the other comments pages here, is graduating the U.S. Naval Academy in 2010. Not some small feat. My oldest boy is traveling across the country doing a video blog of hi hick, with the next oldest doing the posts, next boy was offered a full ride at University of Wash. The Huskies for football. The two youngest are yet at home, one of which looks forward to College next year and the youngest has 3 more years of high school and on to the Marine Corps.

No, I raised some pretty wonderful children and I am very proud of all of them.

I still have my Daddy heart that wants to protect them.

Just having this debate about this type of thing makes me sick, and want to gather up all my children, (one 21,20,19,17,17,@16 year old’s) and look they up for their own protection.

They are experiencing things that if we had seen or heard as children today would have at least been so embarrassing to us we would not have dared to even speak about it to our closes friends.

It is VERY rare that children who ‘grow up’ in Hollyweird end up normal. They usually have to have very protective parents [Shirley Temple], but many parents want to ’share’ the limelight and they let their youngsters do ‘whatever’ pleases them once the money rolls in.
