Of course, as P.J. O’Rourke famously wrote, “Every government is a parliament of whores. The trouble is, in a democracy, the whores are us.”

And so are the clowns.

Update: Paco adds, “One sign of the irreversible decline of the United States will be if this unfunny clown gets a second term. But in the meantime, enjoy Harry Reid’s Senatorial Freak-A-Rama!!” The photo at the top of his post is an equally bracing statement on the current state of the nation’s political health.
