1. Andrew X:The Sarah Plain story is a damned interesting one.
I think those who say she is out of the Presidentail running may be correct. This would be tough to overcome.
Those who think she is out of politics might be fooling themselves….. (”If you strike me down, Darth, I shall become more powerful than you can ever imagine.”)
A big question is…. how ticked is she? I think mighty ticked. She might be out to put some serious hurt on the cultural left and elites in this country who so roundly deserve it after their treatment of her. What’re they gonna do about it….. attack her and her family?
All she did was run for VP with credentials as good or better than our current CinC. And we all saw what she and her family got for it, which Obama and his family most pointedly did not.
She beat Letterman in a cultural battle. It probably felt good. I think she sees a reality, that our cultural elites GAVE us Obama lock, stock and barrel, that they are now directly responsible for Obamanomics and his reprehesible foreign policy, that they DO hold in contempt those of us who are not in their tribe, that they WILL attack and destroy anyone who threatens them and their worldview, like Sarah Palin, and that, as millions of us see this crystal clearly, a great deal of blame can be ladeled upon those cultural elites, which she will be happy to dish out with relish.
Sarah Palin may have decided in a way that she has a big destiny, but it is not in the White House, but rather as polar star around whom many can rally. (This would only be true if, just hypothetically, there was a serious vacuum in GOP leadership… ahem…) And, in the back of her mind, she may see that if she succeeds in THAT role, well, then that is what she will be judged on, no whether she left the governorship early. Then, the sky’s the limit. (a politician, giving up power for the good of her state??? We can’t have someone like THAT leading us!!)
God knows I hope this is all true. There are some astonishingly sanctimonious elites than so many of us have every reason in the world to want to see get cuffed around. If Palin’s move is essentially about giving her the flexibility to do that, go girl go!

Not enough has been said concerning Alaska’s idiotic ethics laws. Sarah Palin probably did have to quit for the good of her state. These ridiculous charges limited the hours she could give to Alaska. Furthermore, Palin is deep in debt to the tune of at least $400,000—with no end in sight. She will most assuredly explain more about her unfair predicament in a few weeks. In the meantime, as governor she must remain somewhat reticent because of “ongoing investigations”.
