On the anniversary of 9/11 a host on Danish Public Broadcasting that is financed by taxpayers, said about the attack on America:

”I am a little embarassed to admit it, but I thought: Hey, it’s the Americans, now they get spanked, they really deserve it.”

This outrageous comment didn’t have any consequences for the host. He was just mildly reprimanded by his boss who – surprise, surprise – stated that this kind of comments violates Danish Public Broadcasting rules for what employees are allowed to say on air.

The host, Jens Blauenfeldt, later issued the following statement:

”I am absolutely not anti-American og it wasn’t my intention to express anything of the sort. Now, when I see my words on print I understand that they can be interpreted politically. That was not my intention, I am sorry.”

Hey, Jens Blauenfeldt merely sounds like the typical self-hating American member of the Democratic party. He should consider running for its presidential nomination. In their heart of hearts, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama agree with him.

Apology or no apology, JB can go screw himself as far as I’m concerned. To even suggest that 3,000 American civilians “deserved it” is reprehensible. To say it as a joke is in poor taste. And what does he mean “interpreted politically?” If the comment is “interpreted politically” it may been seen as offensive, but if it’s interpreted otherwise it’s just a run of the mill innocuous comment? How did he mean to have it interpreted? JB is just another America hating European (trying to get back into the closet) for reasons that I suspect are pathetic at the root. If I ever confronted this person, I can assure you that a handshake would not be in the offing.
