From today’s Washington Post, we learn that Hamas is binding up the wounds of their enemies:

Victorious Hamas gunmen rounded up senior military leaders of the Fatah movement in the Gaza Strip early Friday, then announced a general amnesty in a sign the Islamic movement is seeking to reconcile with its secular rivals after five days of fierce fighting.

I remember when Qadaffi called up one of his enemies, Sadat I think, to warn him of an assassination plot. The essence of that gesture was not a peace offering, but the opposite. It said “I hold you in such contempt that I even spare your life.”

In like manner, Hamas’ amnesty for Fatah leaders expresses contempt. It says “I hold the power of life and death over you, you miserable worm. For the moment I choose to spare you, but I can reverse that decision if you misbehave, son of a monkey…”

It is NOT reconciliation. It’s slavery, and that’s what we can expect if we lose this war.

Dr. Ledeen you have just read these fascist minds as close and personal as they know how to say “Allah-O-Akbar”!!!

This is exactly how wars are waged by the Islamists throughout their 14 centuries of history. They dominate using force, and by threats of violence and death if their wish and will do not get heeded. if necessary play politics by giving bribes and brainwashing masses through propaganda. In other words in order to force their occupation army in the lands throughout the moslem world first and the rest of the non-moslem world next, they play all the tricks in the books as how to win and take the power and keep that power. This has been their secret to success in expansion of their cult and occupation of many lands from times of Muhammad. These bunch of Islamist terrorists are just following what their master had designed and taught them. They call themselves pious and believers since they just follow their prophet and the will of their crooked Allah!!!

No matter how hard LeftOver Marxist media tries to put a positive spin on the events, call it amnesty or whatever, still the event in Gaza demonstrate the Islamists mind set.
The fact is Islamists try any which way they can, elections, cheating, Tangheeye, or pure anarchy to climb to the power. In their way Islamists and Khomeinist have no mercy on anybody since, for them” The End justify the madness”.
The Gaza situation demonstrates what Islamists really are. It is up to the civilized world to find the right way to deal with Khomeinists and Islamists. However, as history from Carter up has shown, pleasing Khomeinists only strengthen them up.

Well finally Islamist Government of Iran has managed to station their mercenaries/thugs next door to Israel. May be when Ahamdneedsajob said ” Count down to annihilation of Israel has began and there is no return” He really meant it. I have no trust for US/Western administrations left in me anymore, they are nothing but bunch of gutless and dimwitted creatures who love to remain clung to status que for ever and ever and do a big nothing.

Regards

A regime change in Iran will help stabilize the whole mideast region. Let’s get it done first

Er. I’ve been wondering about what’s going to happen next and have been asking around.

Now that Hamas has Gaza and will consolidate their hold, I’m worried we’ll see another summer of missiles into Israel (or maybe next year). It seems these strikes are always escalating and probing more and more. So I’m wondering if Hamas/Iran will try a limited chemical attack (chlorine?) on Israel. Given the use of chlorine in Iraq, it seems like this could be the next escalation to see what Israel and the west will do.

It also seems hard to imagine any effective response that Israel can have. Seems like all the initiative is in the wrong hands.

ML:

They aren’t probing. They are trying to destroy Israel.

I don’t know what everyone is so surprised about, Israeli nightmares often come true, they’ve dreadfully anticipated this moment for years. Notice how quickly Hamas was to express the need to COLLABORATE with Israel on civilian issues such as water and electricity, all the essentials Hamas needs to destroy the Jewish nation.

ML:

I haven’t noticed many “Israeli nightmares often coming true,” frankly. There seems to be a bit of a death wish at work with the Olmert crowd, though.

Machiavelli on Modern Leadership: Why Machiavelli’s Iron Rules are as Timely and Important Today as Five Centuries Ago

by Michael Ledeen

American Enterprise Institute resident scholar Ledeen offers an updated version of the rules for leadership laid down by Machiavelli. Its the nature of humans to do evil, and war is our natural state. Anyone who would wield power in such a setting, writes Ledeen, echoing Machiavelli, “must be prepared to fight at all times.” This is as true in business, sports, and politics as it is on the battlefield.
