Your Stalinist-left former comrades are not interested in discussion. They are only interested in sermonizing the "Truth" and enforcing their orthodoxies.

"There are no clear, common standards, few sites take responsibility for mistakes or for outright lies, and even “mediated” venues are known both for biased reportage and for refusing to publish facts, or points of view which in any way depart from their approved ideology."

That is why I recommend center-right websites like National Review, Weekly Standard, Commentary, Power Line, and Front Page Magazine. It has gotten to the point that I rarely visit Slate or Salon---and I never waste time with either the New York Times or the Washington Post unless somebody links to something supposedly worth reading. Needless to add, I visit Pajamas Media minimally five times a day. One needs to develop an adequate bovine excrement detector.

I have been watching Glen Beck on CNN Headline News and he has a magazine Fusion and in the latest issue, he compares the presidential candidates stands on controversial issues based on the principles of our Founding Fathers and those of Karl Marx. He concludes that our candidates are moving more toward Marxism than the Founding Fathers. We think we are a free country but our lawmakers Whittle away at our freedom every day.
